Portugal is Europe’s leader in consumption of fish and ranks 3rd in the world (topped only by Iceland and Japan). Portuguese consumers eat 59 kg of fish per year, distantly followed by E.U. (28) numbers 2 and 3 - Spain and France - with 39 and 33.9 kilos per capita (2015). Culture theorists like Claude Fischler, Leon Rappoport, Mary Douglas, Poul Rozin, Massimo Montanari, Pierre Bourdieu and Cornelius Castoriadis, agree that the basic determinant of population’s diet is its culture and food has always been much more than a source of physical nourishment. To analyse the tendencies regarding fish consumption we used Docapesca Portos e Lotas S.A’s data (a government owned company, under the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Sea). A total of 1393 respondents participated in 2 surveys (one survey being for the general of the population and another one specifically for generations born after 1980s) which gave us a total of 221 variables to analyse. 7 segments were identified, depending on lifestyle, relationship with fish and how consumers buy fish. Results were abundant, remarkable and complete, including ex. factors influencing store choice store; the best source of information about food; what healthy eating means/ how it has changed over time; price; time; taste; availability; cooking skills; factors influencing the choice of a store; perceptions regarding fresh fish, its flavour, quality and freshness, smell, price and confection; personal preferences (salted dry fish, smoked fish, frozen fish, canned fish, fresh fish, whole fish, fish stalls, fish fillets).

Portuguese consumers are an example to the world when it comes to eating fish. It is a fact that Portugal is EU’s top nation consuming fish, and that the country ranks 3rd in the world in that category. It is something to be proud of. Especially when so many countries are investing millions on/and implementing fish campaigns, in the attempt to increase the consumption of fish. Therefore, this article attempt to highlight some major aspects of fish consumption in Portugal, explaining how, where, and when fish is consumed. To be able to characterize the Portuguese fish consumer, this article had exclusive access to data from Docapesca Portos e Lotas S.A’s data (a government owned company, under the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of the Sea). Two surveys were conducted (each with 1000 respondents - representative of general of the Portuguese population), one in 2017 and the other one in 2018, using plenty of variables that turned out to be extremely valuable data to market analyses and allowed a very strong comparative analysis. Results include the big impact of Information in the different channels of fish consumption, perceived value of fish, consumers' evaluation of the advantages of fish, expectation when consuming fish, and also the importance of consumer education (as a means to promote change in behavior, if wanted). By providing evidence from Portuguese fish consumption in two different years, this study offers valuable insights for both practitioners and researchers.

Universities around the world have faced a new pandemic, forcing the closure of campuses that are now conducting educational activities on online platforms. The paper presents a survey about students behavior and attitudes towards online education in the pandemic period from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, Romania. A group of 300 students participated. The questionnaire was structured in four parts to determine student’s individual characteristics, student’s needs, students’ knowledge in using virtual platforms and students’ quality preferences for online education. The students said that online education in a pandemic situation is beneficial for 78% of them. A total of 41.7% percent of students appreciated the teachers’ teaching skills and the quality of online courses since the beginning of the pandemic, and 18.7% percent of the students appreciated the additional online materials for study to support their education. However, students found online education stressful, but preferred online assessment for evaluation. This pandemic has led to the new stage of Education 4.0, online education, and the need to harmonize methods of education with the requirements of new generations.

In the previous research, it was proved that there were so many factors like students’ personal characteristics, family background, learning habits, previous academic background, college environment etc. which influence directly or indirectly the performance of college students in their university examination. The number of such factors has been identified by studying the previous work carried out by different researchers in different geographical areas and boundaries of the world. In many researches, when the opinions of the students and teaching faculties has been taken for similar factors to know the importance of these factors, the significant differences was found in their opinion for some factors. This paper investigates and compares the faculties’ assumptions with the students’ perceptions for various influencing factors. The comparison is done on the basis of their ranking of mean values of the factors allocated by students and faculties independently as per the importance of factors and one way ANOVA is used to check the significance of differences in their opinion. The result shows that there are similarities in the opinions of both, faculties and students, for most of the factors. But for some factors the significant differences in their opinion is also observed. The result of this research can be used for enhancing the performance of students by improving the influencing factors rank-wise. Top ranked factors may be given higher priority. Also this study will provide a platform for continuing the debate on the importance of various influencing factors for engineering students.

Abstract Background : Diarrheal infections remain relevant for many countries of the world. The processes of globalization, fundamental changes in nutrition and water consumption contributed to the fact that the significance of individual infection sources, etiological structure of diarrheal infections changed. Purpose of the study: on the background of the analytical study of the incidence of diarrheal infections in Ukraine under the current conditions, to determine the factors influencing epidemic situation. Methods: The reports of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, Main Administrations of Statistics in Kharkiv, Odesa, Zaporizhia oblasts for 2011-2018 are used in the paper. Epidemiological and statistical research methods are applied. Results: The epidemic situation with diarrheal infections in Ukraine is characterized by a low incidence of typhoid fever (from 0.012 to 0.14 per 100 thousand people), shigellosis (from 1.97-6.13 per 100 thousand people), stable incidence rates without the downward trend, salmonellosis (from 17.35 till 24.1 per 100 thousand people), high incidence of diahrreal infections of specified etiology (from 115.5 to141.9 per 100 thousand people) and diahrreal infections of unspecified etiology (from 69.76 to 107.02 per 100 thousand people). The most complicated epidemic situation is observed in economically most developed regions of the country. Most diarrheal infectionsoutbreaks are connected with catering establishments 36.5 % and with children educational establishments 26.1 %. In the region with the highest shigellosis and salmonellosis incidence direct strong correlation relationships are established between the incidence and population, density, natural population movement. The oblasts with the highest diahrreal infections of specified etiology, rotaviral enteritis, diahrreal infections of unspecified etiology incidence are at least provided with water resources and have problems with provision of high-quality drinking water. There is a need to improve the system of epidemiological surveillance over diarrheal infections by extension of the indicators of microbiological study of drinking water quality in the regions of Ukraine, where high diahrreal infections of specified etiology, rotaviral enteritis, diahrreal infections of unspecified etiology incidence is registered; by increasing frequency of food item inspections in the oblasts, where mediana shigellosis and salmonellosis incidence exceeds the average one in Ukraine. pattern, and factors that influence the consumption in Bandar Lampung City.  The data in this research were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively.  The locations and 54 respondents of this research were determined purposively, at Sukarame Village, Beringin Raya Village, and Panjang Utara Village, with the total respondents of 20, 19, and 15 households respectively.  The results of this research showed that the average of daily fresh fish consumption in Bandar Lampung City was 26.61 grams protein per household.  Fresh fish consumption pattern included the kind of the fish was freshwater catfish, the frequency of fresh fish consumption was 4.10-6.00 kg per month; and place to buy fresh fish was traditional markets.  Factors that influence the fresh fish consumption in Bandar Lampung City were price of fresh fish, the number of household members and middle economy degree.   Key words: consumption pattern, factors, fresh fish consumption

Education tourism, despite being existed for several hundred years, has only recently been recognised as an independent sector worth studying. In today's globalisation era, knowledge is increasingly a commodity that moves between countries. Korean society adapts the globalization era, which is gradually narrowing the interval between countries around the world. The current study was aimed to explore factors that attracts students from Korea to Malaysian universities. Data were obtained from nine private educational institutions in March-August 2019. In the current study, 300 questionnaires were distributed by applying the unbiased sample and the non-probability convenience sampling technique. The results of the study confirm that higher quality education program, affordable tuition fees, and a higher standard environment are the key motivational factors attracting Korean students to study in Malaysia. This study proposes important implications for policymakers, institutional staffs, and other relevant stakeholders in prioritising action to position themselves in the market effectively.
