The usage of the terms the ’Fourth Industrial Revolution’ and its predominantly used synonym ‘Industry 4.0’ has curved upwards at a higher rate than the number of underlying interconnected production units. The concept of Industry 4.0 originates from a project on the high-tech strategy of the German government in 2011. This project promoted the computerization of manufacturing and it was a logical suggestion for the long-term competitiveness of the German economy. The fundamentals of an export-oriented economy need system-level development not to be disadvantaged in the global competition. Building all this on the most modern technologies can be defined as a traditional step. The umbrella term ’Industry 4.0’ has outgrown this step and in 2016 it became an independent agenda item of the World Economic Forum. In this study, with the help of a literature review, we examine which factors of this so-called fourth industrial revolution are similar and which factors are different compared to the previous industrial revolutions. Can the characteristics of industrial revolutions be identified? Is the impact complex and does it influence not only the technology but also the society, the politics, etc.? Whether the use of the term is substantiated or is it only an advanced, fashionable buzzer hanging all today’s forward-looking innovations on the same peg?

In our present paper, we analyze the accounting aspects of digitalization and industry 4.0 in Hungary. First of all, the accounting profession is a traditional profession and accounting rules and principles are established and have been the same for many years. However, globalization of business, stronger regulations and numerous technological solutions and innovations are not bypassing the accounting profession, either. Challenges for the accounting profession are reflected in the need for rapid adaptation and transformation of business practice and business processes without abandoning basic accounting rules and principles. The aim of this paper is to analyze and systematize the key challenges that digitalization brings for the accounting profession. The paper seeks to examine how, through environmental accounting, the broader context of corporate sustainability could be incorporated into the developing vision for Industry 4.0, the fourth industrial revolution.

Paper is devoted to interrelation research between investments in technology of the fourth industrial revolution, patterns of innovative behavior and productivity of the Russian industrial companies. Research is conducted on the basis of data of 576 industrial companies (874 respondents). At the first investigation phase it is confirmed that technologies of the industry have the greatest impact on increase of productivity and transformation of industrial production 4.0: robotics, Internet of things, additive production, big data and analytics, cybersecurity. Besides, effects of introduction of technologies of the fourth industrial revolution are defined: financial, valuable, operational, innovative and technological development. At the second investigation phase the interrelation analysis between investments is carried out to technologies of the industry 4.0, patterns of innovative behavior and productivity of the industrial companies with use of the modified CDM model. The received empirical results have shown that investments of the industrial companies in technology of the fourth industrial revolution increase productivity with elasticity 0,28 for high-tech industries; 0,21 – for the middle-technology, and 0,14 – for low-technology.Investments in innovative activity have elasticity range from 0,04 (for low volumes of investments in new technologies) to 0,17 (at the high volumes of investments); the relations between investments in an innovation and growth of productivity aren't linear and have stable positive relation only after a certain critical mass of investments in new technologies is reached. Considerable influence on interrelation of investments in innovations and productivity is rendered by the characteristic of branch in which the company works: the firms working in high-tech industries, not only put in new technologies, innovative activity more, but also have more high efficiency caused by scientific researches and development; the companies of low-technology branches have negative elasticity of investments in innovations and productivity that is connected with influence of effect of unprofitability of investments into innovations (appropriability effect), that is the additional profit on investment isn't essential.

The fourth industrial revolution basing on computer and information technologies, various software, hardware is rapidly gaining momentum in the modern world. First of all, these include big data processing technologies, blockchain, Internet of things, virtual and augmented reality, 3D printing, printed electronics, artificial intelligence, robotics, biotechnology. Alongside the positive effects, it is expected that the revolution will lead to some negative social consequences, including the growth of intellectual and high-tech crime. The article aims to analyze the causes and conditions of emerging new crime resulting from Industry 4.0 and their effect on the development of forensic science. The author highlights that the specific factors which will determine the future of forensic activity are: the appearance of creative and well-educated individuals, the emergence of “grey areas” in law, the development of global partnerships interested in international supranational rule-making, increasing of transnational crime. The rapid development of science and technology will require investigators and courts to promptly solve various specific scientific and technical tasks, eventually determining the objects and subjects of new forensic examinations, primarily from the field of information technology. Specialists predict a breakthrough in the development of cognitive computing and expert systems equipped with artificial intelligence, which has considerable potential in forensic science. There are signs of the shaping of a common forensic space, which will include not only existing elements of the institute of forensic examination (state and non-state institutions) but large industrial corporations, as well as the most active, technologically advanced individuals.

The world is at the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution, which has already begun. It requires enterprises and even sectors to move toward Industry 4.0. Innovative systems (IS) play an important role in this process. In the article, the innovative systems in Industry 4.0 are considered to be complex systems whose components have a lot of tasks; in particular, to produce innovative policy; to provide the subjects of innovative activity with the necessary resources; to participate directly in the process of creation, commercialization, and the practical use of new knowledge; to implement integration approaches between these processes, etc. The complexity of the innovation system leads to the development of modern approaches to their modeling, as a tool for further designing, creating, and modifying real innovative systems of different levels of organization under the conditions of Industry 4.0. In the simulation of IS under the conditions of Industry 4.0, the description of the subsystems by a number of sets is proposed. The model is described by the graph of relationships, including the abstract level of the hierarchical model of IS, its elements, indicators and their values, functions, actions and operations, their states and efficiency, and the tree of goals. In order to make optimal solutions, using the mathematical apparatus of the theory of Markov chains to study the dynamic and static characteristics of the states of the IS is proposed. This approach can be widely used in the simulation, designing, development, and rebuilding of IS at different levels of an organization.

The relevance of the study is due to the fact that increase of proportion of high technology production in the aggregate product of the world economy, as a consequence of the new industrial evolution mid XX-early XXI century, defines a completely new, in terms of world experience, range of system views on the global economic system. The subject of research of the article is a process of developing of the theory of innovation system, an analysis of impact of the theory of long wave cycles on the innovative development of society. The goal of the article is to analyze the development of the theory of global and national innovative high-tech systems in time, considering the hypothesis of the existence of a rigid connection between long waves and the periods of basic innovation occurrence at various phases of the waves, in order to recognize the possible options for the development of events and to model the appropriate reaction to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the national innovation system in the context of the new industrial revolution. The objective is to research the patterns of the life cycle of innovations and their diffusion to identify the advantages and disadvantages of a transfer of high technology products for the national innovation system and also to identify the development trends and new factors, which define the essence of modern efficient high-tech system in terms of the new industrial revolution. General scientific methods are used, such as system analysis - to determine the patterns of the life cycle of innovations and their diffusion to identify the advantages and disadvantages of a transfer of high technology products for the national innovation system, factor analysis – toformalizethecause-and-effectrelationshipsoftheinvestigatedfactorsof the development of modern effective high-tech system. The following results were obtained: on the basis of the analysis of the impact of the long waves theory on the innovative development of society is proved the necessity of the fastest access of domestic enterprises to world network markets not only to develop the sales network, but also to search for innovative solutions and creative interactions. These practices are suitable for most countries, which have adopted the experience of world's innovative leaders and now are competitive players of the world market of high technologies. Conclusions: the urgency to create a strong national innovation system in Ukraine, considering the specificity of those elements that are now the basis of functioning of innovative systems.
