scholarly journals MULTI-CHANNEL TRADE INFLUENCE IN THE LOGISTICS RESEARCH CONTEXT

The study presents in general terms the changes and trends that have emerged in the last decade and concern sales model implementation in companies operating on the Ukrainian consumer market. The presented trends influence on the above-mentioned entities` behavior model from the perspective of using certain operational and strategic management tools is analyzed. The reasons for shifting priorities in the relations development within the structure of vertically integrated and vertically located entities with an eye to the realities of the consumer market new paradigm are indicated. The demand development features in the new conditions and changes that have occurred in the consumers` actions, as well as the accompanying prospects for the development of the consumer-expected competencies of the seller are highlighted. The facts of brand-new marketing and logistics practice dissemination are presented. This is about such a modern method of implementing sales competencies as sales through multi-channel retail networks and supply chains. The influence of new logistics and marketing tools on the nature of competitive relations within the studied market boundaries is also described. The reasons for the need to include new trade relations development trends in the program of scientific and methodological development of logistics and marketing strategies are revealed. As a result, the necessity of performing the conceptual and categorical apparatus synthesis for further research of e-Commerce practice is revealed and indicated. Based on the results obtained at the current stage, a system of indicators was established in order to identify the differences between the traditional single-channel sales methodology and the features of multi-channel supply chain management. When developing this system, it was decided to divide the indicators by their functional characteristics. To achieve the goal set in this study, the selection of indicators was focused on the logistics component of single- and multi-channel supply chains. The resulting indicators system was used to perform a comparative analysis of the mentioned supply chains. Along with the direct results presented in the manuscript, the analysis allowed us to describe in general terms the differences between traditional stationary retail trade and trade using information technology tools. Among other things, the analysis of scientific sources on this topic allowed us to come to some conclusions about the advantages of using multi-channel sales systems.

The paper examines how utilization of management tools supports enterprises’ operating in supply chains. The paper critically reviews the results of a previous, survey-based study, with a sample of 198 employees from Slovenian organizations, who assessed utilization of management tools in their organizations. With hierarchical regression analysis authors test the associations between management tools’ usage and enterprises operating in supply chain; the impact was controlled with the most significant personal and organizational drivers of management-tools usage. Results show that loyalty management, core competences, and scenario and contingency planning are most strongly associated with the supply chain management’s activities in organizations. The traditional supply chain management’ tools, like outsourcing, lean production and total quality management, are currently not considered to be important vehicles for supporting enterprises’ participation in supply chains. The results from this study suggest rethinking of the current focus of management tools utilization, when organizations try to improve their participation in supply chains. More management tools were measured than in earlier studies regarding management tools, supporting enterprises’ participation in supply chain; relations between management-tools utilization and enterprise participation in supply chain were empirically examined. In addition, the most commonly used management tools were considered simultaneously, which had not been done in prior studies.

The article considers some methodological issues of researching the potential of the regional consumer market, analyzes the indicators characterizing the availability and use of labor potential, infrastructure elements, commodity stocks in Novosibirsk region. Index multiplicative models of the studied indicators allowed us to obtain a quantitative assessment of the influence of factors on the consumer market potential. The development of retail trade turnover is regarded as a social and economic effect of the consumer market functioning. The author came to the conclusion that there is a lack of effective use of the regional consumer market potential and there are problems in the retail regulation system.

The article considers the conditions of the EAEU as a favorable environment for the supply and sales markets of domestic enterprises. The advantages of the EAEU for domestic enterprises, such as a unified transport infrastructure and document flow and the abolition of customs formalities, are highlighted. The characteristics of indicators of mutual trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the EAEU member States for 2018 and 2019 in general terms are given. The dynamics and the share of exports and imports of the EAEU in the total volume of export and import operations in the context of each member of the EAEU are considered. The commodity structure of Kazakhstan's import and export products with the EAEU countries is studied, where the main groups of commodity products are identified. The structure of export and import supplies in the context of the percentage ratio by product groups is determined to identify the main product groups of exports and imports to determine the properties and characteristics of supply chains. The general classification of supply chains for analyzing the properties and characteristics of the main commodity groups of exports and imports of Kazakhstan with the EAEU countries is given. Selected mineral products, which account for almost 40% of the total volume of exports to the countries and the EAEU, for which an analysis of the properties and characteristics of supply chains is provided.

The scientific paper is devoted to the identification of empirical features of the modern conceptualization of digital logistics in the conditions of the transition to a multichannel sales system. The authors conclude that the modern development of logistics is going through a serious stage of its rebirth, which is accompanied by a change in the market mechanics of the commodity supply system of the consumer market. The paper provides an evidence base of empirical and theoretical substantiation of changes in the operation of supply chains of the consumer market due to the transformation of the sales model and the transition from mono-channel to multichannel sales, which, as the authors believe, is not of evolutionary, but of revolutionary nature.

The relevance of the development of theoretical provisions for the classification of services of retail trade networks is predetermined by the modern transformation of the trade industry, where the services provided by the chains are formed on the basis of building communications with all participants in the consumer market. The main purpose of the article is to generalize the approach to the classification of services and the implementation of a value-oriented and process approach to the content and identification of the classification features of services of retail trade networks. The article presents modern foreign and domestic approaches to the classification of retail trade services. Certain features are highlighted and the expediency of taking into account the network forms of organizing trade services in the formation of classification signs is indicated. In the presented article, the service of a retail trade network is considered as a result, an action and a process. On the other hand, the retail chain service is viewed through the prism of value for suppliers, end-users and owners on the network. The implementation of the value approach allows taking into account consumer preferences, as well as the interests of the network owners in the development of retail facilities, ensuring the quality of trade services, developing the infrastructure of the territory, paying attention to the requests and proposals of agricultural producers, processors, service providers. which create services according to the format of goods circulation. The application of the process and value approach made it possible to single out the components of the service and propose their own classification. This classification will allow, in the future, to develop an appropriate methodology for assessing the effectiveness of retail trade network services, as well as to develop management decisions at the enterprise level, to build more effective communications with all participants in the consumer market.

The interest in Supply Chain (SC) management decision-making problem is growing fast. The purpose of a SC is to transform incomplete information about the market and available resources into co-ordinated plans for production and replenishment of goods and services in the network formed by co-operating units. One of the goals of Internet-Based Management (e-management) is to facilitate transfer and sharing of knowledge in the context of structures, such as SC. Object-oriented Knowledge Management tools for SC configuration utilise reusable components and configure knowledge as needed, in order to interactively assist users (agents) in decision-making. This paper discusses a generic development methodology for object-oriented conceptual modelling and e-management of scalable supply chains. For illustration, applications from the textile industry have been utilised.

The global economic crisis, which is linked to the coronavirus pandemic, has also affected pharmaceutical logistics. Therefore, the improvement of logistics processes within the pharmaceutical supply chain to increase the access to health care to the population in a pandemic becomes especially important. The aim of the work is to study and summarize the main problems of pharmaceutical logistics in a coronavirus pandemic and substantiate the reserves to improve the functioning of pharmaceutical supply chains. To achieve the goal of the study, an analysis of the domestic scientific literature and the current regulatory framework of Ukraine was conducted. It has used abstract-logical, monographic research methods and system analysis, as well as the method of expert survey. Realizing the importance of providing the population with necessary medicines during the pandemic in Ukraine on October 14, 2020, the Law «Changes to the article 19 of the Law of Ukraine "On Medicinal Products" on Electronic Retail Trade in Medicines» of September 17, 2020 № 904-IX has enforced. It has been evaluated the factors influencing the efficiency and coordination of the activities of pharmaceutical supply chain participants. A risk management algorithm for pharmaceutical supply chains has been developed, its structural elements and relationships have been identified. The presented algorithm will allow analyzing and estimating any deviations from the planned parameters in pharmaceutical supply chains on the basis of establishment of system of the corresponding indicators and on the basis of this information to define effective methods to counter the risks. The urgency of the problem of increasing the reliability and safety of domestic pharmaceutical supply chains in a pandemic has proved. It is justified that the introduction of digital technologies will increase the reliability, transparency and quality of business processes in the pharmaceutical supply chains during a pandemic, drastic changes in the pharmaceutical market and low predictability of demand for medicines and medical devices. The main problems of logistics in a pandemic in the domestic pharmaceutical industry are studied. It has established that the narrowest places in the organization of pharmaceutical supply chains are the improper organization of information exchange between pharmaceutical supply chain participants and the insufficient professional level of production interaction of managers. It has established the priority directions of increase of stability and reliability of functioning of pharmaceutical supply chains which is a necessary condition of accessibility of pharmaceutical provision of the population, especially in the conditions of a pandemic.
