Purpose: It is evident employee react negatively and have experienced psychosomatic effects like depression, anxiety, insecurity and fear as a reaction of merger and acquisition, which reflect negative effect on employee performance, high turnover intention or absenteeism as employee reaction to change. The present study intent to understand the impact valuable perceived social support in enhancing employee job satisfaction and to persuade them not to switch the organization specifically due to structural change i.e. M&A. Design / methodology: The study is cross sectional, data collected convenience non-random sampling technique from MCB Bank employee experiencing structural change (MCB-NIB) merger. Total of 350 responses using Smart PLS were analyzed. Findings: It was found that perceived social support positively associated to job satisfaction. Job satisfaction negatively related to turnover intention and mediated the link between perceived social support and turnover intention. Research limitations: This study finding carries certain limitations like the data acquired gathered from one region which may indicate unfairness. It is cross sectional study so causal links cannot be established future research particular to longitudinal studies. This study only involved employees of banking sector from one province of Pakistan, still issue of generalizability cannot be ruled out.  Practical implications: The study possess a number of practical implications as an outcome of present study stresses that executive need to provide in order to implement change. As Merger practice modifies the current organizational culture, working environments, and operations, employee feel negative and show fear of downsizing or restructuring. Thus managers and policy makers need to establish mechanism where employee may get enough support. Originality / value:  The present study is distinctive in a way it has covered that employee developing their confidence, morale, acceptance and perception level, regarding change experience such as satisfaction with the job as an important mediating mechanism, which deal and overcome emotional response of an individual who intent from company at the time of change.

Job satisfaction has gathered a lot of attention and focus throughout the world from scholars as well as researchers. This study aims to investigate and analyze the relationships among perceived social support, rewards, and job satisfaction. Additionally, the moderating effect of school climate will be investigated between the relationships of perceived social support and rewards with job satisfaction, respectively. Data were collected from 200 teachers working in government schools of Bahawalpur District using self-administered questionnaires. This research is a quantitative and cross-sectional study and it has adopted a convenience sampling technique. Statistical Package for Social Sciences and Partial Least Squares-Structured Equation Modelling are the tools that have been used for data analysis to test the hypotheses. The results and findings of this study, indicate that a positive and significant relationship exists between perceived social support and job satisfaction. Also, the relationship between rewards and job satisfaction is positive and significant. However, no moderation of school climate is observed in both relationships of perceived social support and rewards with job satisfaction. This study provides implications i.e. theoretical and practical with the addition of limitations of the study. Lastly,  future research directions are given as well.

Objective: The present study investigated the impact of perceived social-support and parental-bonding in predicting suicidal intent among self-harm patients.Methods: Cross-sectional research design was used in current study. Study was conducted at Foundation University, Rawalpindi from February, 2019 to September, 2019. A purposive sample of 50 self-harm patients was collected from different mental health departments of hospitals of Rawalpindi, Jhelum and Peshawar. Participants were administered Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), Parental-Bonding Instrument (PBI) and Beck Suicide Intention Scale (BSIS). Data was analyzed through SPSS using correlation, t test and regression. Differences on the basis of demographic variable were also studied.Results: The main results of the study specified that social support and parental bonding’ factor ‘care’ had significant negative correlation with suicide intent. Moreover, it negatively predicted suicide intent. Whereas, parental boding’ factor ‘overprotectiveness’ had significant positive correlation with suicide intent and significantly positively predicted suicide intent. Conclusion: The outcomes of present study emphasized that social-support and parental bonding both can play substantial roles in saving lives. Researchers and mental health experts will be able to start examine about the factors that distinguish deliberate self-harm from attempted suicide as well as the characteristics common to both conducts. This research is a human resource analysis study, especially studies on employees of Warung SS Purwokerto. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of Emotional Intelligence on Job Outcomes and its impact to Turnover Intention on Warung SS Purwokerto. The samples in this study were 86 people who had been selected using purposive sampling. This study uses the analysis method of Simple Regression Analysis and Causal Step Method. Hypotheses indicate that emotional intelligence directly affects job satisfaction, organizational commitment and Turnover Intention, then job satisfaction and organizational commitment affects Turnover Intention, next  job satisfaction and organizational commitment affect the effect of emotional intelligence on Turnover Intention. The implications of this study indicate that Turnover Intention affected by emotional intelligence, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. This finding will contribute to future research as an additional reference regarding the development of discussions and studies on human resource management.

The shortage of professional nurses in a hospital is to threaten service quality and patient safety. Inadequate compensation, no career development, and dissatisfaction can increase turnover intention. Increasing professional nurses' resilience is better than recruiting new nurses from an economic perspective. The research analyzed the effect of compensation and carrier development on job satisfaction and the impact on nurses' turnover intention in a private hospital in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A quantitative research design with the cross-sectional approach was used. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. The samples consisted of 47 nurses who made a self-reported by filling out the questionnaire. Data analysis used Partial Least Square. The study found that compensation and career development had direct and significant effects on Turnover Intention. Moreover, compensation and career development also had indirect and significant Turnover Intention effects through job satisfaction as the intervening variable.

In this era of stiff competition employee performance is the key driving force for organizational success, at the same time pressure become the part & parcel in organizations for keeping employees motivated to win the competitive race. But undue pressure can causes stress which undermines performance .Stress is ubiquitous phenomenon and a straining condition that has a negative impact on an individual’s physical, physiological, personal and family life. Now days, due to the rapid changes and intense competition the banking sector employees are among the victims of stress. This study has been carried out to investigate the causes of job stress (job demand, work life conflict), the impact of job stress on employee job behaviours (job performance, job satisfaction) and outcomes of job stress (turnover intention, burnout) and also the relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction is explored. A questionnaire(scales having 38 items) measured against 5 point Likert-type scale is used to evaluate the relationship among variables of interest which analyzed through statistical tests of regression, correlation and reliability of the measures was confirmed. The regression analysis results show that there is no significant relationship among job demands, Job stress and job performance, but variables of job demand, work life conflict, and job stress has a significant positive relationship with each other and same is the case for turnover intention, burnout & job satisfaction which depend upon the stress faced by the banking employees .There is significant positive correlation between job commitment and Job satisfaction. Theoretical implication of this study will be for diverse organizations for understanding the factors that are causing the stress among employees and how to get rid from this evil of stress to increase employee satisfaction, performance and commitment. Recommendations to reduce the stress level are also discussed and focus of future studies is mentioned.

This study aimed to investigate the impact of hotel employees’ perceived job embeddedness on job satisfaction, self-efficacy, turnover intention, job performance, and job commitment. The results showed that job embeddedness partially increased job satisfaction, while job satisfaction and self-efficacy reduced turnover intention and increased job performance and job commitment. Furthermore, job satisfaction and self-efficacy were found to play an important mediating role. Therefore, the theoretical framework, based on the results of this study, clearly demonstrated the causal relationship between the given variables, and adequately describes the goals of this study. The theoretical/practical implications are discussed in detail in the conclusion.

Purpose – The aim of the study is to investigate the impact of job stress on job satisfaction of employees and also to find out the drivers for the job stress, which contribute to create job stress which ultimately negatively affect job satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach – The study is mainly based on review of the existing literature and collection of data through an adopted questionnaire survey, conducted from the selected sample of Air Traffic Controllers of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority. A total of 134 questionnaires were distributed among the sample which is selected using the technique of cluster sampling. 122 respondents returned the questionnaire, which are utilized for the analysis purpose. Findings – The results of the current study indicate that there is a negative relationship between job stress and job satisfaction. Those air traffic controllers who had high level of job stress had low job satisfaction. Research limitations – This research paper is based on a specific case of Air Traffic Controllers of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority. So the results are applicable specifically to Air Traffic Controllers of Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority or other fields in the same industry. A quantitative methodology is used to investigate the problem. Future research can investigate the problem by using a mix of quantitative and qualitative research methodology. Practical implications – The practical implications of the paper include implementation of the results provided by researcher to decrease the employees’ level of stress and increase job satisfaction level. Originality/value – The study is conducted first time in the field specifically highlighting the stress issue. The turnover intention of healthcare workers is a threat to the competence of health services, especially during COVID-19 time. This study aimed to investigate the association between stress and turnover intention among healthcare workers in Saudi Arabia and whether social support could affect this association. In this cross-sectional study, healthcare workers in primary healthcare centers in Saudi Arabia responded to an online questionnaire assessing their sociodemographic and occupational history, stress levels using the Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10), social support using the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and turnover intention within the next few months. Path analysis was conducted to assess the mediating effect of social support on the association between stress and turnover intention. A total of 1101 healthcare workers (242 physicians, 340 nurses, 310 paramedics, and 209 administrative workers) participated in this study. The path between stress and support had a significant standardized regression weight (-.34, p < .05). The path between support and turnover had a significant standardized regression weight (.08, p < .05). The standardized total effect of stress on turnover without the impact of support was significant (-.39, p < .05). The direct effect of stress on turnover with the presence of support was significant (-.36, p < .05). The indirect effect of stress on turnover with the presence of support was significant (-.03, p < .05). Thus, there is evidence to show that support mediates the relationship between stress and support. Stress is associated with turnover intention among healthcare workers in Saudi Arabia. Social support had a mitigating effect on the relationship between stress and turnover intention.

BACKGROUND: Tinnitus is an auditory impression without any external auditory stimulus. It may cause negative symptoms (anxiety, insomnia, depression) significantly affecting work performance and job satisfaction. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the job satisfaction in tinnitus sufferers. METHODS: Cross- sectional study were conducted and 51 individuals (23–70 years) were recruited. Participants completed two questionnaires: Tinnitus Handicap Inventory and Job Satisfaction Scale. RESULTS: People affected by tinnitus report higher job satisfaction than healthy people. Job satisfaction was significantly related to age: r = 0.31; p <  0.05 in all tinnitus patients. There was a correlation between job satisfaction and tinnitus severity but only in people with normal hearing (–0.69; p <  0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The results show that job satisfaction is affected by the level of tinnitus annoyance (from both its emotional and functional aspects), but only in people with normal hearing. In future research it is recommended that additional factors be investigated, both work and non-work related, to thoroughly explore the impact of tinnitus on job satisfaction.
