This study aims to describe the efficiency and effectiveness of capital expenditure in the Province of South Sulawesi. To study this problem, ex post facto research is used. The data type uses secondary data for 2009-2013 time brackets. Data collection techniques using study documentation. Based on the results of the study found that the amount of indirect expenditure still dominates the regional expenditure allocation. While indirect spending is consumptive, while direct expenditure tends to be both short-term and long-term investment. Based on the results of the analysis during 2009-2013 which uses the consumption approach rather than the production approach. But this approach produces growth, but it is short-term and volatile. Overall, based on the profile of expenditure allocation, it can be said that the implementation has not been carried out efficiently and effectively. In the future, it is expected that the Regional Government of South Sulawesi Province can increase the allocation of direct expenditure so that there is a balance with indirect spending, so that conditions in the long run are very beneficial because it increases the overall welfare of the community quickly and sustainably.

This study aims to analyze the integration of the Arabica and Robusta coffee markets in Indonesia with world coffee prices. The study uses secondary data in the form of annual time series data during the period 1985 - 2015. The study uses the VECM analysis method. This method explains the relationship of long-term dynamic equilibrium and short-term equilibrium in a system of equations. The analysis shows that Indonesian and world Arabica coffee is not integrated in the long term or the short term. In Robusta coffee VECM estimation analysis shows that there is a significant value at the 10% level in a long-term relationship with a value of 0.08579, which means that there is a short-term relationship between world Robusta coffee prices and domestic Robusta coffee prices in the previous year, but no relationship in the long run.

This study aims to determine and analyze the factors that influence foreign debt in Indonesia with variables that effect economic growth, inflation, and foreign interest rates. This type of research is associative descriptive research, where the data used is secondary data from 1970 to 2017 obtained from institutions and related institutions, which are analyzed using the Error Correction Model (ECM) method. This study initially used the Ordinary Lest Square (OLS) method to see long-term, and used ECM because it wanted to see short-term at the same time. The findings of this study indicate that economic growth and inflation have a significant effect in the long run, but the interest rates have no significant effect, and in the short term all have a significant effect on foreign debt in Indonesia. Keywords: foreign debt, economic growth, inflation, interest rates and error correction model (ECM)

This study aims to analyze the effect of the General Allocation Fund (DAU) and Special Allocation Fund (DAK) variables on capital expenditures. In addition, this study uses the role of intervening variables to analyze the effect of these variables. The data source for this research uses secondary data sources originating from the Director General of Fiscal Balance of the Regional Government. Respondents in this study were local governments in Central Java with a total of 35 regencies and cities for the period 2016-2019. The results of the analysis show that the DAU variable has a positive and significant effect on capital expenditure while the DAK variable has no significant effect on the modal expenditure variable. In addition, the results of the analysis also show that the variable Economic Growth (PE) is not a variable that mediates the effect of DAU on capital expenditure, while further analysis shows that PE is a variable that mediates the effect of DAK on capital expenditure.

Struggle of the Kurds for an independent state can be considered to be one of the most challenging and most underestimated issue in the political analysis of Middle East. Kurd is the fourth largest ethnic group in this region with an estimated populace of 35 to 40 million who are dissipated among four states Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Iran separately. This study intends to examine the origin of Kurds, their political struggle, the factors that compelled Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) of Iraq to conduct referendum for Independence and reaction of all the four countries who share Kurdish population. By adopting exploratory and explanatory approaches and utilizing primary as well secondary data, it has been found that Kurdish struggle and its outcome have been influenced by multiple complex factors which led their conflict to an unresolved state. Our analysis concluded that the states need to realize that suppression of ethnic identities and voices of Kurds might appear to be solution for short time, but not in the long run for promoting peace and regional stability in the Middle-East.
