Social learning in childhood is realized under the influence of many factors, among which is the leading role of the family. The specifics of the article present results, analytical characteristics and conclusions related to the role of electronic media for the production of prosocial and (or) aggressive behavior in preschool childhood, through the orientations of parents to the negative personal qualities built under their influence. The conclusions reflect the adequate perception of the parents about the negative patterns of behavior and the stereotypes planted by the electronic media. Respondents are of the opinion that their children are not attracted to programs and characters from the electronic media because of the conflicts and aggression. At the same time, the answers do not show that children are attracted by their positive antipodes – tolerance, good manners, communication skills. This means that the family underestimates the „attack“ of the electronic media in preschool age and there is a high probability that the family compensatory will be doomed in the following age periods.

The general purpose of this research is the examination of the role of the leader in the institutional communication process in TRNC primary schools. While conducting the research, principals and deputy principals, who are administrators in primary schools, were accepted as leaders in schools. At this point, it has been tried to determine how teachers perceive corporate communication in TRNC primary schools and whether their administrators show a leading role in terms of communication skills. Among the most important results of the research; Primary school teachers with a bachelor's degree had a more positive attitude towards the communication skills of their administrators than primary school teachers with a master's degree. Most of the teachers (69.4%) participating in our study stated that the most important feature that a leader should have is "effective communication skills".

Woman constitutes the family, which leads to society and Nation. Social and economic development of women is necessary for overall economic development of any society or a country. Entrepreneurship is the state of mind which every woman has in her but has not been capitalized in India in way in which it should be. Due to change in environment, now people are more comfortable to accept leading role of women in our society, though there are some exceptions.

cThe article is devoted to the study of the current situation in the drug use by juvenile onvicts serving sentences in educational colonies. The data of official statistics illustrating the growing dynamics of the number of persons convicted of crimes related to drug trafficking are presented. The leading role of socio-psychological factors in the development of drug-addicted behavior of juvenile criminals is noted. The aim of the study is to identify the most significant socio-psychological factors contributing to the determination of drugaddicted behavior, to determine possible areas of work for personnel of educational colonies to prevent the drug-addicted behavior. The methodological basis of the research was formed by the questionnaire, statistical method, analysis, synthesis, induction, system-structural and formallogical methods. As a result of the work carried out, it was established that the level of drug use among convicted juveniles is significantly higher than both officially recognized and declared by the adolescents themselves. The most significant sociopsychological factor leading to such behavior is the family, mistakes in family upbringing, family problems or lack of education. Attention is drawn to the fact that one of the areas of educational colonies work in the prevention of drug addicted behavior can and should be the work not only with the inmates, but also with their parents. It is proposed to strengthen the responsibility of parents for drug addicted behavior of children. Implementation of the conclusions and proposals made will help stabilize the situation and reduce juvenile delinquency related to drug trafficking.

ABSTRACT This paper describes the genesis, composition, and functions of the Intergovernmental Maritime Consultative Organization (IMCO) and the expanding role of this United Nations specialized agency in protection of the marine environment. Focusing on the work of IMCO's Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) established in the wake of the 1973 Marine Pollution Conference, the paper gives evidence of the universal concern for the oceans in the nature and scope of the family of international conventions developed under the auspices of IMCO. Also discussed is the extent to which U.S. regulations on prevention, control of, and response to marine pollution are looked at as models for international standards and, conversely, how IMCO-related activities bear upon U.S. regulations in this field. As the primary U.S. maritime regulatory and enforcement agency, the Coast Guard plays a leading role in IMCO affairs, particularly those concerned with the prevention of marine pollution. Its role in providing assistance to other IMCO member nations also is described, as are methods for mutual sharing of the latest techniques and methodologies for the prevention, control of, and response to pollution incidents.

AbstractThe role of attachment in interaction with other relationships and conditions was investigated in relation to children's later psychosocial development (at ages 6 and 9). Thirty-nine unipolar depressed mothers, 24 bipolar mothers, and 32 normal control mothers and their children were studied. The network of conditions defining early experience included, in addition to attachment, maternal psychopathology, marital discord, other disordered relationships in the family, and recent losses of significant persons. Patterns of mother-child interaction were also examined. Assessments of children's problems were based on psychiatric evaluations of depressive affect, anxiety, and disruptive-oppositional behavior. The findings support the conclusion that attachment enters into development in interaction with other relationships and conditions. Maternal psychopathology, in particular, in interaction with the attachment relationship, is linked to later developmental outcomes. The importance of considering mother-child interactional and dispositional characteristics is indicated. The early attachment relationship together with the ways in which the mother's depression is expressed with her child, and the child's style of coping with the mother's functioning establish patterns of behavior that influence the child's vulnerability to later problems. Multiple pathways of transmission of affective problems are discussed.

The article deals with the clinical and psychological aspects of including minors in terrorist and extremist activities. In the historical perspective, it was traced how the views on the role of mental disorders in the genesis of such crimes changed. It is shown that terrorist and extremist activity must be viewed as a complex multi-factor phenomenon, in which socio-psychological components play a leading role. It is noted that the psychopathological process can act as a prerequisite for inclusion in such radical groups. Psychoanalytic, sociological, cognitive approaches, theories of social learning and the concept of diffuse ego-identity making attempts to explain the mechanisms of terrorist and extremist activity in minors are analyzed. The problem of insufficient study of the influence of the Internet and social networks on the formation of readiness for admission to adolescents in radical organizations is posed.

In the article, from the standpoint of system analysis the author considers some features of a fairly young conductor art in the dynamics of its genesis and development, due to the progressive evolution of musical art in general. From the standpoint of pedagogical praxeology, specific examples of outstanding performers (Arnold Katz, Evgeny Mravinsky, Herbert Von Karayan, Alexander Sveshnikov, and others) describe the professional and personal qualities that an orchestra conductor or choir should possess (especially a novice conductor), and features of the creative interaction of the leader collective and performers. Describing conduction as an object of visual perception, the author identifies the leading role of Ilya Aleksandrovich Musin in the formation of the technique of conducting art in Russia, designating the gestures of “triad” – “attention”, “breath” or “auftakt” and “attack of sound”. At the same time, determining the true nature of the art of conducting, the unity of the two main components is noted – the technical side and the expressive one. Emphasizing the primacy of the production, the technical equipment of the manual apparatus, the author updates the significance of the artistic interpretation of the conductor’s gesture, which presupposes the emotional expression of the intention, color, soul of the composer.

Social learning theory remains one of the leading explanations of intimate partner violence (IPV). Research on attitudes toward IPV represents a logical extension of the social learning tradition, as it is intuitive to expect that individuals exposed to violence in the family of origin may internalize behavioral scripts for violence and adopt attitudes accepting of IPV. Yet despite this assumed link between family violence and attitudes toward IPV, few studies have empirically examined factors associated with the development of such attitudes. Using data from the Toledo Adolescent Relationship Study (TARS), we examine the role of family violence on the adoption of attitudes accepting of IPV among a sample of young adults ( n = 928). The current investigation contributes to existing literature on attitudes toward IPV by (a) providing an empirical examination of factors associated with attitudes toward IPV in predictive models; (b) relying on a multifaceted index, describing specific conditions under which IPV may be deemed justifiable; (c) examining extra-familial factors, in addition to family violence exposure, to provide a more comprehensive account of factors associated with attitudes toward IPV; and (d) focusing particular attention on the role of gender, including whether the factors associated with attitudinal acceptance of IPV are similar for men and women. Findings indicated considerable variation in overall endorsement of attitudes regarding the use of violence across conditions, with greater endorsement among women. Consistent with social learning approaches to IPV, exposure to violence in the family of origin was associated with attitudes toward IPV. Yet findings also signaled the salience of factors beyond the family, including a range of sociodemographic, relationship, and adult status characteristics. We discuss the relevance of our findings for future theorizing and research in the area of attitudes toward IPV.

Communication and player management are integral to effective sport officiating, but most research has focused on physical performance and decision making. The few previous studies of officiating communication tended to use “transmission” conceptualizations of communication (e.g., decision communication, impression management). Eleven officiating-development managers and coaches from 7 peak Australian sport bodies were interviewed to explore conceptualizations of communication and player management, the way officials improve, and the role of the sport bodies in improvement. Four salient themes emerged in conceptualizations of effective officiating communication and player management: personal qualities of the official, 1-way-communication direction giving and impression management, situation monitoring (interpreting player and context), and skilled interaction (adapting communication appropriately for context). The findings highlight a mismatch between (a) interpretive and interactive communication skills perceived to be most important and challenging and (b) the training that is currently provided to officials. There was general commonality in practice and training issues across sport codes. The article makes theoretical contributions to the study of sport-official communication and practical recommendations for improving approaches to training skilled communication and player management.
