The article analyzes the concept of transition in the Uzbek literature, the importance of the works created at different stages of the transition period on the education of the youth, and the artistic interpretation of social problems in the transition period. The transformation to the market economy has also influenced the lifestyle of people that it has been even seen in the relationships of people living in different ways, facing financial difficulties or profits to earn that a lot of people who have left to work abroad, is also the majority of the works described in modern Uzbek prose. Such novels are "Isyonvaitoat" by U.Hamdam, the novel of "Mashaqqatlargirdobi" by Zulfiya the daughter of Qurolboy. In conclusion, it can be said that the study and interpretation of the social problems raised in the literature of the transitional period are of great importance in the education of young people. The teacher, mentor's role is also unique in teaching such interpretations to students, to young people in the right direction, to teach them to feel love towards and to love the art.

ARTISTIC FEATURES OF THE NORTHERN “WHITE NIGHT” MOTIF IN THE LANDSCAPES OF ALEXANDER BORISOV AND LOUIS APOL

The article examines the peculiarities of the color and light atmosphere of the phenomenon of white night in the Far North in the seascapes of the Russian and Northern European art. Attention is drawn to the period from the second third of the 19th century to the first quarter of the 20th century, when scientific and artistic exploration of the Arctic begins to take place on a regular basis. The article shows that the motive of the luminous night at the turn of the century appeared in connection with the appeal of artists to the study of natural contrasts of the Far North. Owing to the comprehending of the monotonous northern landscape, the palette of paintings was enriched with cold light shades of a lightair environment, the artists caught its special glow in the reflections in the water, ice floes and on the snow cover. The article mentions works of art by K. A. Korovin, V. A. Serov, V. V. Perepletchikov, N. V. Pinegin, A. A. Rylov and A. N. Benois, created during their participation in polar expeditions in late XIX and early XX centuries. Attention is drawn to the fact that the painters are branching out from marine pictorial art towards the study of special natural phenomena, such as images of light and dark polar nights, the northern lights, floating ice, fogs and snowy shores. It is carried out an art analysis and comparison of the works of the Russian “artist of eternal ice” Alexander Borisov and the Dutch “winter artist” Louis Apol, who were the first to depict such a phenomenon as a white night in the Far North. But their artistic interpretation of this phenomenon differs. A. Borisov perceives the North as a kind of “living” space in his own experience of figurative-symbolic comprehension of the world order, but at the same time does not lose touch with his realistic painting manner. And L. Apol impartially captures the surrounding nature, remaining in the principles of the features of compositional construction, which are characteristic of late romanticism. The European painter prefers muffled coloring, while on the canvas of the Russian artist, the paints literally ring and glow.

Gogolesque in the novel “The Life of Arseniev” by Ivan Bunin

The article deals with the peculiarities of the patriarchal noble-peasant life description in the novel “The Life of Arseniev” (1930) by Ivan Bunin, focuses on the use of characteristic Gogol’s images and techniques. Moreover, the comparison of the artistic interpretation ways of the patriarchal past by the writers reveals the Gogol's influence on the position of Bunin as the author, which is presented in the novel in different ways: from the point of view of an observer narrator who topographically accurately depicts the reality and life of the family estate, and from the point of view of an emigrant, focused on memories of the past, conveying an emotional sense of the connection between generations. In general, Bunin continues to develop the theme of the collision of immobile patriarchy with the quick movement of time that destroys the old serfdom, so his novel is imbued with nostalgia for the small-scale world going into the past. In Bunin's nostalgia, there are echoes of Gogol's sorrow about the doomed old world life.

Extreme environments: An educational framework for arts-based field research

Field station research locations offer scientists isolation and immersion for more precise statistical analysis of climate change and environmental damage. As more art/science initiatives develop in academia, art students are gaining access to difficult scientific research sites and using the experience to fuel creative strategies. The methodology for offering a course that taps these into possibilities for the teaching of creativity remains little explored. Through a case study at the School of Creative Media in Hong Kong, this article examines how student expeditions that work adjacent to environmental scientists in extreme environments can be used for the teaching of creativity and artistic process as well as informing a larger public on climate issues. The structure of the program with detailed descriptions of sequenced proficiencies is presented. Both pedagogical philosophy and logistic issues will be discussed through the set-up and organizational structure of the course, the variety of teaching materials, assignments, dissemination and finally the exhibition and impact of the students’ work. Using scientific resources with the goal of artistic interpretation, the pedagogy is designed to respond to the emerging potential of digital technologies in creative media. The results, both for the students and the public, demonstrate multimodal approaches that offer broader possibilities for learning and outreach that are both scalable and transferable.

Embracing Ambiguity: The intersection of biology, music, and art in secondary school teaching for student creativity

In these conversational field notes, two teachers reveal their experiences with creativity in contexts where students are encouraged to dwell in spaces of ambiguity and vulnerability in learning. Using anatomy to inform music pedagogy empowers students to work through metaphor-rich instruction in order to develop a grounded approach to artistic interpretation, while using fine art in the science classroom allows students of anatomy to explore the artistic possibilities of imagination in relation to the human body. In both cases, the crisscrossing of pedagogical lines from biology into music and music into art helped to transform students’ relationships with ambiguity from being negative and closed-off, to positive and constructive.

Healing House I: A Material Phenomenology of Illness

This paper is a deep investigation into one art installation, Healing House I, which materializes the lived experience of being diagnosed with a chronic illness. This artwork is part of a collaborative project between artist Darian Goldin Stahl and her sister, Devan Stahl, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Together, they use a phenomenological methodology to express the disconnections between the lived body and the body object that can occur after a diagnosis, as well as the conditions necessary to mend this separation. Joining fleshy material, sound, vibration, and scent in this artwork, Goldin Stahl analyses how a multi-sensory and artistic interpretation of her sister’s illness narratives can tacitly communicate one experience of living with MS. In sharing this artwork with others in a disability arts exhibition, the sisters aim towards fostering a collective, intercorporeal understanding and empathy for the ill body.

DESCRIPTION OF THE MENTAL STATE OF THE HERO IN THE WORKS OF RAY BRADBURY AND KHODJIAKBAR SHAIKHOV

The investigation of psyche problems in terms of artistic analysis of the study of psychology, artistic understanding of the complexity, contradictions, invisible mysteries of heroes’ state of mind, has always been attractive to study in the world literature. It is essential to reveal and solve problems associated with the confusion and boundless breadth of the subconscious, literary and poetic peculiarities, the specific features of the initial stage of fantastic literature development, the perfection of the directions of social, philosophical, fiction, the emergence of dystopia, apocalyptic, post-apocalyptic, steampunk or pro-punk, turbo-realism, post-cyberpunk, alternative directions of fiction, which are the basis of the psychoanalytic teachings of the twentieth century. In the field of research of the phenomenon of psychologism as a scientific and theoretical problem in world literature, it should be noted that, since the image of a person is in the center of fiction, the conducted research is aimed at revealing his/her spiritual world, describing uncontrolled evolutions in his/her inner world, studying the capabilities of the individual. In particular, special attention is paid to the development of scientifically based ideas about the problems associated with the appearance of psychologisms in fantastic works, their artistic tasks to reveal the character of the hero, the spiritual world of the writer in an artistic image, his spiritual worldview, his philosophical views on the world and a person. The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the concept of artistic psychologism in the works of Ray Bradbury and Khodjiakbar Shaikhov, to reveal the creative skills of writers in presenting the heroes’ psychology in their fantastic works in the context of a comparative typological study. The object of the research deals with the study of such problems disclosure heroes’ spiritual world, the direct or indirect depiction of the psychology of characters in the context of the artistic interpretation of universal values in works of Ray Bradbury and Khodjiakbar Shaikhov’s using the method of comparative typological analysis. The subject of this research is the concept of artistic psychologism in Ray Bradbury and Khodjiakbar Shaikhov’s works. The methods of structural analysis, comparative-historical, comparative-typological, psychological and biographical methods have been used for the research.

Arthur Zuttner's Novel “Adjarians” and the Chorokhi Navigation Area

Chorokhi is the main river of historical southern Georgia. Interesting background knowledge about sailing on Chorokhi was preserved by the press and the records of travelers of the last quarter of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, as well as by the collective memory of the population living by the edge of the river. Interestingly, the Chorokhi navigation area has almost never been reflected in fiction. Therefore, the work “Adjarians” by Arthur Zuttner is undoubtedly of great importance.Arthur Zuttner, an Austrian writer, lived in Georgia with his wife Bertha from 1876-1885. “Adjarians” was published in Germany in 1888, and the Georgian translation by Rusudan Ghvinepadze was published in 2007.“Adjarians” reflects the reality of southern Georgia before the Russo-Ottoman war of 1877-78. The action takes place mainly in the Chorokhi basin. The author describes the Chorokhi boat and sailing in only a few episodes, though, quite extensively. The work deals with the navigation images described by Zuttner in the novel, especially how the Chorokhi navigation area is reflected in the work and what is the relationship between the relevant episodes of the novel and the objective reality. It is obvious that the writer has deep insight into the life of the Chorokhi sailors and the local specifics of the river sailing. Obviously, Suttner's text is an artistic interpretation of reality, but it must also be noted that the navigational narrative in Suttner’s novel, with a few exceptions, accurately depicts a number of 19th century details of the Chorokhi navigation artery. Consequently, the images depicted in the novel are undoubtedly interesting for the literature lovers and the readers of fiction interested in the history or details of life.

STAGE MODELS USED İN THE STAGİNG OF THEATER PLAYS,DECOR AND STAGE DESİGNS

Stage design is the design of decor, costumes, accessories, lights, effects and all other audio-visual environments for the enactment of a theatrical play on the stage. Stage design is the general name of the design of all counted areas. This art branch, which started in the Middle Ages in accordance with today's understanding as stage painting and stage decoration in the West, lived its brightest and most glorious period in the 19th century. The stage mechanics created by applying it to scenes that could be created in the 20th century, by inserting the visual illusion on purpose, cause the audience to see these false worlds with surprising and astonished glances. Stage decoration is a branch of art that incorporates all branches of plastic art, especially painting and architecture, but its function is to create spaces that will provide the necessary action on the stage, in accordance with the drama text written by the author. However, today, it continues to function with a new structuring like other developing and changing art branches. Now the stage designer must have a very good art background as well as being a good İnterior Architect. Their current and social cultural background, which is sensitive to the problems of the country and world societies he lives in, is an important factor in the emergence of a good stage design. It is no longer a stage decoration that is suitable for the dramatic text and it’s visually is in the foreground, but a stage design enriched and meaningful with the artistic interpretation of the artist and the expression of his feelings. In this article, the applicability of the interior architecture process and stage design process in the field of theater plays has been tried to be revealed.

A Combination of Professional and Personal Qualities in the Choir Conductor

The article outlines the problem of combining professional and personal qualities in the choir conductor. Research gaps in the profession of choir conductor are outlined. We established that the art of conducting, and choral performance as its component, currently requires professionally trained personnel, who have an active life position and are able to provide a creative approach to choral singing. It was found that conducting should be interpreted as a creative process characterized by a step-by-step structure and a combination of analysis and comprehension of the choral score, its artistic interpretation, which allows embodying the formed musical image in the real choral sound. It was found that the conductor’s professional qualities are based on the conductor’s individual style or his “creative method”. It is established that the emotional sphere of the conductor is the result of a combination of qualities that will allow the conductor and the choir to demonstrate a bright and convincing revelation of the originality of texture, expressive timbre colors of numerous choral scores, and a rich palette of nuances.
