Content of teaching foreign languages undergoes inevitable changes in connection with introduction of information and communication technologies. Education as an integral part of life of society has to match the criteria providing high-quality teaching process, at the same time the project method allows to execute the social order of society in more practice oriented approach to teaching. The place of grammar studying in the course of teaching foreign languages was not al-ways unambiguous: there were cases when it was under or overestimated in educational process. However, it is worth mentioning that without well formed grammatical skills of foreign language communication any of the most modern information and communication technologies are not capable to yield qualitative result. We consider a problem of adequate use of Internet projects for university students’ grammatical skills formation as well as an issue of the corresponding content of teaching grammar. Teaching foreign language to students of both linguistic university and other higher educational institutes is directed to formation of all components of foreign language com-municative competence. Project activity, as well as based on it educational Internet projects allow to bring this process of teaching to higher qualitative level. We carry out and develop: a) the analysis of the scientific works devoted to the concept “grammar” and its role in the history; b) the analysis of the researches devoted to selection of subject contents for grammatical skills formation of the students’ speech; c) the author’s subject contents of teaching grammar students of linguistic universities on the basis of implementation of foreign language Internet projects.

The article considers audiovisual technologies (AT) for written speech training in second language acquisition. The aim is to form and to develop written speech competence that includes different skills, abilities and knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, skills in reading, writing, audition. The research provides some ideas of the students’ perception of AT such as the Internet, podcasts, blogs, video conferences, special mobile applications in the education process. The functional features of a video film in the training process and four stages of audiovisual education technology are described. To present the process of training, the pedagogical algorithms based on the structure of the knowledge acquisition process are developed according to the aims of viewing. The stages of AT realization (previewing, presentation, after-viewing, and actualization) are considered. An educational intervention using AT is developed and we investigate the effectiveness of audiovisual technology as a teaching method and the degree of knowledge acquisition of the language content proposed to students. To estimate the written speech competence level, we used the calculation of knowledge acquisition factor of training material. A significant improvement was observed in the acquired knowledge of written speech training and AT were perceived to be effective in teaching German as a second language. Thus, the Internet teaching resources can contribute to the formation and development of the following competencies for students: foreign communicative competence, including linguistic, sociocultural, educational and cognitive components; communicative-cognitive abilities to search and select, generalize, classify, analyze and synthesize the information received; communicative skills to present and discuss the results of work with Internet resources; the ability to use Internet resources for acquaintance with the cultural and historical heritage of various countries and peoples; the ability to use resources to meet their information and educational interests and needs. Foreign language training based on AT positively influences students’ performance and should play a leading role in the effective communicative competence formation and development.

The article presents the analysis of the topical issue of selection of grammar material for teaching Russian as a Foreign Language, since it is important to take into account the principles involving functional approach to learning a new language. When selecting grammar material to present it to foreign students, it is necessary to consider the goal and content which are recognized as the main components in the system of foreign language teaching. The author obtained the following result: teaching grammar is more effective if the presentation of grammar material is quite accessible; the training content is to include the speech patterns, speech situations that are necessary to form the knowledge, skills in syntax. The author established that the communicative-functional approach is recognized as the leading one in teaching Russian as a Foreign Language, since it unites functional and structural-semantic aspects. This may help to develop a linguodidactic model of pedagogical influence, taking into account the principles of selection of grammar (syntactic) material, which includes the information about syntactic structures of semantic similarity.
