AbstractStudents’ language attitudes have long been considered important in the process of language learning, as they may impact academic achievement, and educators’ attitudes towards languages have also been studied for they may play a paramount role in shaping students’ attitudes. Hence, examining the development of teacher students’ language attitudes will help to better fine tune the specific teacher education programme. The aim of the present study was to analyse the development of primary teacher student attitudes towards English and to investigate the impact of personal, contextual and educational variables on those attitudes. This longitudinal study was carried out with 100 undergraduates enrolled in a degree programme in trilingual Primary Teacher Education. Our results show that self-perception of English competence level and specialist areas are the decisive variables. It was also revealed that these primary teacher students do not consider English a threat to their own identity. Furthermore, our findings suggest the need to go beyond students’ personal and contextual data to examine the particular educational context in greater depth, specifically, the language and educational policy being implemented, as both of these may impact students’ attitudes towards the target language.

Abstract One of the problems with distance learning is the lack of student participation. Teachers must innovate teaching to overcome this participation. This study aims to determine the impact of using LEMKERTAS with the help of YouTube shows on increasing learning activity in math. This study uses a mix method with an explanatory sequential design. The research subjects were 22 students of class XI at MA AL Wathoniyah 43, North Jakarta in the odd semester of 2021/2022. Research instruments in the form of questionnaires, observation sheets, and interviews. The results showed that the use of LEMKERTAS with the help of YouTube shows had an impact on increasing the activeness of learning Mathematics. Students become more active in asking, answering, arguing, discussing, and doing group assignments. Researchers recommend this method to be applied in other subjects. The practice of using technology to deliver coursework in higher education has seen a veritable explosion. The use of technology has not only created new opportunities within the traditional classroom but has also served to expand learning experiences beyond the popular notion of “classroom." Indeed, “distance learning," especially utilization of the Internet, is becoming a widely used delivery alternative at universities nationwide. In many instances the change to an Internet-based delivery system has been instituted with little or no consideration of the impact on student learning. This paper presents data from a twosemester study of the effects of distance learning on student achievement as well as the impact of distance learning on student attitudes concerning their learning experiences. Students’ test scores and satisfaction survey results from an Internet-based test group were compared to a control group whose instructional opportunities were from traditional, in-class models. Researchers found no significant difference between the test scores of the two groups. Additionally, while statistically significant data could not be produced in the area of student perceptions, general observations supported that, overall, students in the experimental group had a more positive feeling about their experience than the control group.

The Corona virus pandemic exploited by irresponsible elements.  They do a cunning business strategy, which is to hoard goods, in fiqhi terms known as iḥtikār. In the Islamic view, iḥtikār is a prohibited business practice and will be met with a painful punishment in the afterlife.  The purpose of this paper is to provide an understanding about the impact of COVID 19 on the practice of buying and selling (iḥtikār).  This paper uses qualitative research methods in the form of library reseach using the shar'i approach.  From this study it can be concluded that the behavior of hoarding goods with the aim of reselling them at high prices to obtain large profits.  In Islamic Shari'ah, iḥtikār‘s law is haram because it contains elements that harm others.  This is very clearly stated in QS al-Humazah/109: 1-2 and punished by sin as stipulated in the hadith of the Messenger of Allah.
