AbstractThe Psychosocial Attention Network (RAPS) consists of services and devices designed to overcome the asylum logic, prioritizing, among other aspects, the exercise of citizenship and social insertion of people with mental disorders. In this scenario, it is understood that the Multiprofessional Residency in Mental Health is relevant to the qualification process of the services, regarding the strengthening of the psychosocial care network, to the integral attention and qualification of the practices of health service workers. The objective of this study was to understand the conceptions of the first group of the Multiprofessional Residency in Mental Health of Paraíba regarding the mental health care provided in the RAPS of João Pessoa and Cabedelo. The telling of ‘tangon’ (folklore) is a common practice in the Kimaragang community. In general, the ‘tangon’ of the Kimaragang symbolises the socio-culture, philosophy and description of the heroism values for the community. However, nowadays, the values in ‘tangon’ are often forgotten, especially by the younger generation. This study thereforefocused on the heroism values as portrayed in the folklore of the Kimaragang. Using a qualitative approach, the field work and interview methods were utilised to document the ‘tangon’. Data was analysed using the Alamiahapproach, one of the approaches in the ’Pengkaedahan Melayu’ theory by Hashim Awang as a means to understand heroism aspects such as bravery, sacrificial spirit, fighting spirit, and openness as embodied in the folklore. The findings of this study prove that the element of heroism is important to master especially in the norms of a chaotic society in order to improve self-esteem and maintain honour. Indeed, the Kimaragang in the past practised heroism values to ensure a peaceful and prosperous life. Applying these values in life today is one of the efforts to activate and sustain an increasingly forgotten heritage.

Abstract Although music is an important part of cremation rituals, there is hardly any research regarding music and cremations. This lack of research has inspired the authors to conduct a long-term research project, focusing on musical and linguistic aspects of music played during cremations. This article presents the analysis of a playlist consisting of twenty-five sets of music, each consisting of three tracks, used in a crematorium in the south of The Netherlands from 1986 onward. The main objective is to identify the differences and similarities of the twenty-five sets of musical tracks regarding content and musical properties. Consequently, we aim to provide insight in the history of (music played during) cremation rituals in The Netherlands. To analyze the musical properties of the sets, the authors use both a qualitative approach (close reading and musical analysis) and a computational analysis approach. The article demonstrates that a combination of a close reading and musical analysis and a computational analysis is necessary to explain the differences in properties of the sets. The presented multi-method approach may allow for comparisons against musical preferences in the context of current cremations, which makes it possible to trace the development of music and cremation rituals.

One of the results of the water treatment process is the sludge. Generally, the processed sludge from the water treatment is collected and delivered to a landfil. With the delivery of sludge waste, it requires additional cost as a levy in handling sludge waste. Therefore, it is needed to innovate on the recycling of sludge. The waste recycling process is expected to minimize the residual impact of the Water Treatment Plant. The process of waste recycling can be done by utilizing sludge from water treatment, which is brick making process. The benefits can eliminate environmental problems and also some economic problems. This study aims to determine the potential of sludge from water treatment plant to be added for brick making by investigating the physical and characteristics of sludge. The research findings show that sludge waste has the potential to become a brick raw material depending on the nature and clay microstructure

The widespread adoption of research findings by the farming community has traditionally been challenging. Addressing this challenge is a priority as the products of research often aid and underpin the implementation of environmental objectives to ensure that natural resources are used in a sustainable manner. One approach to tackling this challenge is to develop products that are tailored to meet the needs of the users. The Analytical Irrigation Model (AIM, a software tool) was developed with the intention of creating a field-tool to assist farmers to improve their management of border-check irrigation. Using AIM as a case study, this paper demonstrates the value of using a qualitative approach in assessing potential users of research findings, and understanding their requirements. While developing AIM, anecdotal feedback suggested that widespread adoption of the envisaged research products, namely a field-tool, was unlikely. The qualitative study found that service providers to the dairy industry were likely to be the primary users of products of the AIM research. From conducting this qualitative study, service providers identified 4 types of research products that would suit their needs. Incorporating their perspectives enabled the development of products that were more likely to be adopted and consequently increased the effective targeting of the AIM research findings.
