examined is the types and level code-mixing. In types and level code-mixing, researchers used the Suwito theory. As for the types of code-mixing, including inner code-mixing and outer code-mixing, while in code-mixing level consists of six words: word-level code-mixing, phrase-level code-mixing, clause level code, baster level code-mixing, repetition level code-mixing, and code-mixing level idioms. This research design used is qualitative research. Qualitative research, among others, is descriptive. The data is collected more in the form of words or pictures rather than numbers. The qualitative descriptive method is a method that researchers can use to analyze by doing fact-finding with the right interpretation. Qualitative research is closely associated with the context. Based on the results of the analysis from London to Bali, the data was obtained for types of code-mixing consisting of inner code-mixing 115 data, outer code-mixing 46 data, and level code-mixing consisting of word-level code-mixing 145 data, phrase level code-mixing 10 data, code-mixing clause level 4 Data, baster level code-mixing 1 data, repetition level code-mixing 3 data, idiom level code-mixing 0 data.

Jerome Polin Sijabat is an Indonesian YouTuber. Jerome Polin is known after starting a YouTube channel called Nihongo Mantappu, which shares his personal life in Japan. Apart from speaking Indonesian, Jerome Polin also uses other languages, such as English and Japanese. Jerome Polin's mastery of the language causes code-mixing in the video. This study describes the forms of code-mixing and the factors that cause code-mixing in videos on Jerome Polin's YouTube channel. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a sample of conversational quotations. The data collection technique used is the listening method using note-taking techniques and free-involved-talk listening techniques. The results showed that the forms of code-mixing insertion in Jerome Polin's YouTube video include elements of words, phrases, and clauses. The types of code-mixing in Jerome Polin's YouTube videos are outer code-mixing.

Balinese language is one of the regional languages in Indonesia that has a unique talk system, it is still alive and used as an instrument of communication of Balinese tribe so that it should be well maintained in order to still exist as a cultural vehicle of Bali. The Balinese language has anggah-ungguh kruna (level-word) that an important role in the formation of speech-level or anggah-ungguh basa Bali. This paper aims to describe the identification anggah-ungguh kruna (word level arrangement) which is the specific feature of speaking Balinese. This research is a qualitative research discuss with structuralism theory. Data collection was done by observation and interview method, assisted by recording technique. The collected data is processed by analytical descriptive method. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be described that anggah-ungguh kruna basa Bali include: (1) kruna nenten alus (kruna kasar, mider, and andap); (2) kruna alus, include: (kruna alus singgih, alus sor, alus mider, and alus madia).

Sosiolinguistik memberikan pengetahuan tentang code switching (campur kode). Analisis teks novel untuk memahami penggunaan campur kode penutur dapat dilaksanakan untuk pengembangan ilmu sosiologi bahasa. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam menganalisis temuan dan mengklasifikasikan pencampuran kode dari Novel Andre Herata Sang Pemimpi. Analisis data berfokus pada kalimat dan paragraf yang menunjukkan penggunaan pencampuran kode di dalamnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada satu jenis pencampuran kode yang ditemukan dalam novel Sang Pemimpi yaitu pencampuran kode luar (bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris) yang kemunculannya ada dalam bentuk kata, frasa, dan penyisipan klausa. Penggunaan dan jenis-jenis pencampuran kode yang ada dalam novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata meyangkut pencampuran kode; pada pencampuran berbagai unit linguistik, seperti morfem, kata-kata, pengubah, frasa, klausa dan kalimat, terutama yang berasal dari dua sistem tata bahasa yang berpartisipasi dalam sebuah kalimat. Dapat disimpulkan narator menggunakan pencampuran kode dari Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, dan pencampuran kode luar dari Bahasa Inggris; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Bahasa Arab. Abstract. Sociolinguistics gave knowledge of the switching codes. Text analysis of novels for understanding the interdiction of interpreting codes can be performed for the development of language sociology. The qualitative descriptive method of analyzing the find and classifying the code mixing of the novel Andre herata Sang pemimpi. Data analysis focuses on sentences and paragraphs that indicate the use of a code mixing in them. Studies have shown that one type of mixing code found in the Sang pemimpi novel is that it includes a mixture of outside codes (Indonesian and English) that appears in the form of words, phrases, and insertion of klausa. The use and kinds of coded blending in the book of Sang pemimpi Andrea hirata passes the mixing of codes; In the mixing of various linguistic units, such as morpheme, words, modifiers, phrases, clauses and sentences, especially those that come from the two grammatical systems that participate in a sentence. It could be inferred that the narrator used a code mixing from Indonesian, Malay, and a proprietary blend of English; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Arabic.

The purpose of this study was to determine the pricing policy applied by selling PT.Wicaksana Overseas Internasional.Analisis data in this study using qualitative descriptive method and data collection by observation and interviews. These results indicate that the right pricing will affect the volume increase in sales and satisfaction to consumers. Because prices affect the volume of sales and the purchasing decision. Therefore, setting the selling price of products made by the International Overseas PT.Wicaksana already running well by doing and observation visit directly into the field, and conduct periodic surveys in the field and carried out by the marketing department who has been given the task by the leadership and results of the research findings discussed in the meeting and obtained conclusions and results that have been agreed. This means that pricing in the International Overseas PT.Wicaksana doing some process so that pricing is done going well and accepted by consumers.

This study aims to find out the usage of code mixing in the novel Bidadari Bermata Bening by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. It also aims to find out the types of code mixing. This study is supported by Bhatia and Richie’ theory(2006:337) about code mixing. It is stated that code mixing refers to the mixing of various linguistic units (morphemes, words, modifiers, phrases, clauses and sentences) primarily from two participating grammatical system within a sentence Besides that, this study is also based Suwito’s theory (1983, 76). He classified code mixing into two, they are: inner code mixing and outer code mixing. This study is conducted by using a qualitative descriptive method in analyzing finding and classifying mixed and mixed codes. In this analysis, the data used are the sentences and paragraphs which show the usage of code mixing in it. The result of the study shows that the form of insertion and also the types of code mixing that appear in the novel. There are two types of code mixing found in the novel. First, Inner code mixing (Indonesian and Javanese), its occurences in the form of word, phrase, repetition and clause insertion. Second, Outer code mixing (Indonesian and Arabic), its occurences in the form of word, phrase, and clause insertion.

Traditional music in baliatn ritual has a composition or structure of special music presentation which can influence pamaliatn or tukang liatn (the ritual leader) to experience the transcendental period. Besides, the music played can incur the magical power, it indicates how strong the effect of the sound or voice of gongs, dau, and gadobokng that were played during baliatn ritual. The research problem was how does the structure of music presentation in baliatn ritual of Dayak Kanayatn? Thus, the purpose of this research was to describe and analyze the problem in the structure of music presentation of baliatn ritual. The research used descriptive method in qualitative research design. The study has found that the structure of music presentation in baliatn ritual held in three steps; the beginning part is guntur mandayu beating motif, the main part is ka ‘bawakng beating motif, and the final part is ne’ unte beating motif. In this research, the researcher also made the notation of Dayak Kanayatn music in special and simple way.

Abstract Art education at elementary school can serve as the basis of education in shaping the spirit and personality of noble character. At the elementary school level, brain development of children experiences a very fast and real growth. Elementary school is seen as the right agent in the formation of character values because the development of children's brain webs is faster than adult’s. The implication of modern education can reduce the values of character, as modern education is preferred to cognitive achievement. Approaches that use local wisdom will be more easily understood by educators. One of the concepts initiated by Indonesian educational leaders, Ki Hajar Dewantara, that is Niteni, Nirokake, Nambahi (3N) is more easily understood by educators because the concept includes local wisdom values. The purpose of this research is to describe 3N in the learning of dance in elementary school. The study implemented qualitative descriptive method with the aim to reveal facts, circumstances, variables, and phenomena. This study presents the data based on the results of observation, interviews, and documentation. The techniques included data collection, data display, data reduction, and conclusion/verification. The results showed that the learning of dance in elementary school conveys 3N. In addition, teacher's experience can influence students’ learning outcomes and creativity. 3N encompasses N1, N2, and N3. If the 3N stage is not done in accordance with the flow, it will have an effect on the achievement of the learning objectives. This research is still limited to the scope of 3N concept study in the learning of dance in elementary school. Therefore, it is expected that the scope of further research can be developed in other science.

<p><span lang="IN">This study aims to describe the language variation phenomena in the form of indoglish and idiolect in the Girl Squad public figures on Instagram social media. This research is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of captions or written expressions on Girl Squad’s Instagram uploads. Data sources were obtained from public social media Instagram of Girl Squad member figures. Data collection techniques are collected through documentation, listening, and note-taking. Data analysis was carried out in the interactive study by classifying data taken in written expressions on the Instagram caption of Girl Squad members who then organized and concluded indoglish languages and Idioms. The result of this study indicates the indoglish phenomenon that occurs in the upload of written expressions on the public Instagram figure of Girl Squad. Also, idiolect was found in several public members of the Girl Squad figure. Indoglish language patterns found include (1) prefix insertions, (2) suffix insertions, and (3) pronouns. Idiolect language patterns found include (1) word emphasis, (2) adaptation, (3) creation or formation of new words, and (4) contemporary language.</span></p>

This paper presents the findings analysis of categories and functions on vague language used in disaster news articles on Thejakartapost.com based on the theory of Channell (1994). In the journalism context, especially in disaster news article, the information often contains vague language that has imprecise statement since it is harmful. Therefore, to avoid wrong statements, the reporters often use vague language in presenting information accurately. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method. All data were 24 news articles. There were 12 news articles of natural disasters and 12 news articles of human-caused disasters. The period was from April 2018 until March 2019. The findings of this study showed that there were three categories of vague language, namely vague additives to numbers that were realized by approximators and adjectives. The others were vagueness of choice of vague words that were realized by nouns, and vagueness by scalar implicatures that were realized by quantifiers, numbers, and exaggerations. In addition, they also have its functions of vague language. Firstly, giving the right amount of information, it is used since the reporters just shared the right number of information although the exact number was not available. Secondly, filling in lexical gaps of uncertainty, it is used since the reporters wanted to cover the imprecise information with another word, and generalized word that was difficult to identify. Last but not least, self-protection. It is used since the reporters wanted to protect and hedge their statements from imprecise information.Keywords: Vague Language, Categories, News Articles, Disasters, implicature

The objectives of this research were to find out the category of code mixing used by the English teacher and the code mixing category dominantly used by the English teacher in teaching EFL (English as a foreign language) classroom based on the category of code mixing according to Muysken (2000). This research employed descriptive qualitative research design to analyze the teacher’s code mixing in teaching EFL at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar. The participant of this research was one of all the English teacher of SMK Negeri 1 Makassar, this participant was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The instruments of this research were observation and audio recording.The result showed that (1) The English teacher of SMK Negeri 1 Makassar used all of the categories that categorized by Muysken (2000, cited in Liu, 2008: 6) in teaching EFL classroom, they were: Insertion, Alternation and Congruent Lexicalization. There were seventeen examples of Insertion category, two examples of Alternation category and there were also two examples of congruent lexicalization category used by the English teacher; (2) The category of code mixing dominantly used by the English teacher of SMK Negeri 1 Makassar was insertion category in teaching EFL classroom.Therefore, it can be a positive input of the English teachers to enrich their English vocabulary to avoid using code mixing in teaching EFL classroom.
