Children's literature produced in Indonesia it self is not too much and studies are rarely carried out. Therefore, it is important to have an assessment of children's literature, especially novels. The research objective was to describe the building blocks in Okky Madasari's Mata di Tanah Melus novel. The approach used in this research is a structuralism approach. The research method used content analysis method. The data source is the novel Mata di Tanah Melus by Okky Madasari. The research time was carried out for one month. Data collection techniques using library techniques. The data collection instrument was the novel Mata di Tanah Melus by Okky Madasari. The data validity technique uses credibility testing techniques, namely increasing persistence and using reference materials. Data analysis in this study used Miles and Huberman's analysis model, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that the building blocks found in the novel Mata di Tanah Melus, namely the facts of the story in the form of a forward plot. The main character is Matara, the supporting character consists of 18 people, the white character consists of 5 people, and the black character is the Hunters. The setting consists of 17 places. The time setting occurs in the morning, noon, and night. The socio-cultural background raises the culture of the Melus Tribe. The theme raised in the novel Mata di Tanah Melus is the theme of humanity. The means of the story are titles and points of view. The title of the novel contains two meanings and experiences semantic distortion. The point of view used is the main actor's first person point of view

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan ideologi dan teknik penyajiannya dalam struktur sastra anak, Habib Sang Pendekar Bumi Melayu. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa satuan teks bertema ideologi yang bersumber dari buku tersebut. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kajian pustaka dan teknik catat. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah peneliti sendiri dengan menggunakan kartu data. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan membaca intensif dan mencatat data di kartu data. Metode analisis data dilakukan dengan identifikasi dan klasifikasi satuan teks, interpretasi dan inferensi setiap unit teks secara tekstual, kontekstual, dan/atau intertekstual. Penelitian dilakukan di Bengkulu pada Januari sampai dengan April 2020. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis-jenis ideologi yang disajikan dalam sastra anak yang diteliti adalah ideologi politeis, monoteis, dan nasionalis. Ketiga ideologi tersebut diperkenalkan dalam struktur teks secara bertahap sesuai dengan perkembangan usia dan peran tokoh utama melalui konteks pendidikan  dalam keluarga, masyarakat, dan sekolah.  Kata kunci: ideologi, sastra anak, politeis, monoteis, nasionalis AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe the ideology and presentation techniques in the structure of the children's literature, Habib, The Fighter Of Melayu Earth. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The data of this research are ideology-themed text units, sourced from the book. The technique of data collection is done by literature review and note taking techniques. The data collection instrument was a researcher, using data cards. Data collection procedures are done by intensive reading and recording data on a data card. The method of data analysis is carried out by the identification and classification of text units, interpretation and inference of each text unit in textual, contextual, and/or intertextual terms. The research was conducted in Bengkulu in January to April 2020. The results of this study showed that the types of ideologies presented in this children's story are polytheist, monotheistic and nationalist ideologies. These three ideologies were introduced in the text structure gradually according to the development of age and the role of the main characters through the context of education in the family, community, and school. Keywords: ideology, children's literature, polytheists, monotheists, nationalists

<p><em>This study aims to describe: (1) gender inequalities experienced by Javanese women in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini; (2) the emancipation of Javanese women in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini; (3) the value of character education contained in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini. The research was conducted in October 2017 until March 2018. This research is a qualitative research using feminism approach. The source of this research data is a novel entitled The Chronicle OF Kartini by Wiwid Prasetyo totaling 415 pages. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used are document analysis. Data validation techniques use triangulation theory. Data analysis technique used is interactive analysis model, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that: (1) gender inequalities experienced by Javanese women in the form of maginalization, subordination, stereotype, and violence; (2) the emancipation of women contained in the novel The Chronicle OF Kartini in the form of freedom of choice for women, the struggle and resistance of women, and the independence and ferocity of women: (3) in the novel The Chronicle Of Kartini contains 18 types of representation of the value of character education.</em></p>

This present study aims to examine whether or not DiTerlizzi’s novel entitled Kenny and the Dragon can be categorized as a children’s literature. The story speaks about an adventurous experience of a young rabbit called Kenny to discover the truth about his monstrous-looking friend, Grahame.This study applies formalism approach since it is the most suitable approach to study the intrinsic elements of the novel, which are the plot, character and characterization, and point of view. To support the analysis, library research was conducted alongside the novel itself and supporting articles from reliable websites.The result of the analysis shows that DiTerlizzi’s Kenny and the Dragon meets the requirements for children’s literature since the characteristics of children’s literature suggested by Nodelman are found in the novel.

This chapter explores the development of the children’s novel throughout the twentieth century. This period represents a change from the protection of childhood to the commodification of childhood, and from essentially gentleman-amateur publishing to highly professional production and marketing. But for all its successes, the idea that the children’s novel is necessary inferior to its adult counterpart dies hard. This is the more illogical because novels for children do not have exact counterparts in the adult literary ‘system’. From an adult point of view, all children’s literature is necessarily ‘popular’ or ‘lowbrow’, or at its ‘best’ merely ‘middlebrow’. Equally, the term ‘literature’ is not useful or relevant in the criticism of children’s novels, and the most valued texts in children’s literature may be precisely those that have the least to offer the adult.

The Quantum Teaching learning model is a modification of the various interactions that exist in and around the moment in learning. This study aims to find out more about how to apply Quantum Teaching in measuring students' abilities including cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. This research method uses qualitative research methods with the type of research field research. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis is a qualitative analysis model of Miles and Huberman and Saldana which consists of data collection, data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are: (1) Implementation of Quantum Teaching in Class V Thematic Learning at MI Mambaul Ulum Kandangrejo cognitive aspects, namely students are able to think more critically and broadly, students are able to do assignments or exercises and can understand learning well, students able to provide questions and answers properly and appropriately. (2) Implementation of Quantum Teaching in Class V Thematic Learning at MI Mambaul Ulum Kandangrejo aspects in the affective aspect, namely: the curiosity of students increases, students become more focused, students' attitudes become more confident and courageous. (3) Implementation of Quantum Teaching in Class V Thematic Learning at MI Mambaul Ulum Kandangrejo psychomotor aspects, namely: students are able to practice well the learning media is provided, students are able to name the names and parts of the circulatory organs, students are able to show the circulatory organs blood using the medium. Keywords: Quantum Teaching; Learning; Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching merupakan pengubahan bermacam-macam interaksi yang ada di dalam dan di sekitar momen dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lebih dalam bagaimana penerapan Quantum Teaching dalam mengukur kemampuan peserta didik meliputi aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian Field Research. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data analisis kualitatif model Miles dan Huberman dan Saldana yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: (1) Implementasi Quantum Teaching Pada Pembelajaran Tematik Kelas V di MI Mambaul Ulum Kandangrejo aspek kognitif yaitu peserta didik mampu berfikir secara lebih kritis dan luas, peserta didik mampu mengerjakan tugas atau latihan dan dapat memahami pembelajaran dengan baik, peserta didik mampu memberikan pertanyaan dan jawaban dengan baik dan sesuai. (2) Implementasi Quantum Teaching Pada Pembelajaran Tematik Kelas V di MI Mambaul Ulum Kandangrejo aspek dalam aspek afektif yaitu: rasa ingin tahu peserta didik meningkat, peserta didik menjadi lebih fokus, sikap peserta didik semakin percaya diri dan berani. (3) Implementasi Quantum Teaching Pada Pembelajaran Tematik Kelas V di MI Mambaul Ulum Kandangrejo aspek dalam aspek psikomotorik yaitu: peserta didik mampu mempraktikkan dengan baik media pembelajaran disediakan, peserta didik mampu menyebutkan nama dan bagian organ peredaran darah, peserta didik mampu menunjukkan bagian organ peredaran darah dengan menggunakan media. In this article we will talk about the unusual topos that occurs in Victorian and Edwardian literature — the “revived” estate. Indirectly going back to Gothic literature and the “horror literature” that inherited it (where the house can come to life literally, become harmful, frightening and even mortally dangerous for the inhabitant), however, it develops in a completely different way. The ghosts that inhabit the rooms of such a mansion are the guardians of a good and bright memory, “hidden joy”; embodied by the past, who lives in a shaky, invisible world. These ghosts have many hypostases: sometimes they turn out to be just a figment of the tenant’s imagination, and sometimes they are a real poltergeist, but not frightening, but protecting and preserving (W. Woolf, “A Haunted House”). Another manifestation of this topos can be called a house that comes to life, when the hero distinguishes between the beating of his heart (as happens in the novel by E.M. Forster “Howards End”) or hears a whisper of voices in the curtains shaken by the wind. The combination of these two motives (poltergeist and living house) is also found in the works of modernists (W. Woolf, “Orlando: A Biography”). Of particular interest is the image of a revived estate house in children’s literature; in this vein, we will consider the novel by Ph. Pierce, “Tom’s Midnight Garden”.

Based on an empirical study involving novice translators, this article discusses the advantages of hermeneutic approach to translation teaching (Stolze 2011) as seen from translation students’ point of view. Fifteen translation students participated in a pre-experimental procedure during which they were asked to translate a few texts of children’s literature from English into Polish. The aim of the procedure was to check and verify the influence of the hermeneutic approach on novice translators’ translation competence acquisition. Afterwards, the participants were given a special questionnaire and were asked to fill it in. The questions that they were asked to answer were concerned with their opinions relating to the hermeneutic approach to translation teaching. In the paper, opinions concerning the advantages of the approach are presented and discussed.

The research is conducted in Banjar Berawa/Desa Adat Berawa, nort Kuta district, Badung Regency. The study purposes to know the impact of tourism growth to the society consumptive pattern in Berawa. The technique of the data collection use direct observation technique to the location, interviewing for informan, I.E.Bendesa Adat Berawa, Klian Desa Berawa, Klian Dinas Berawa, Klian Subak Tibubeneng Village, Local society, and documentation by taking photos. The data are analysed by using qualitative data analysis technique which are working based on data, searching and finding pattern, getting interesting data and deciding the data that will be ssuced. The technique of informants assigmnen is purposive sampling which is assigning the sample by using particular consideration so, deserves to be a sample. The data analysis includes with collection data, reduction data, displaying data, conclusion and  verivication. The result of the study shows the society point of view to the aconomy establishmemt of educational aspec of the society which is getting increase, society in Banjar Berawa are also starting to enterpreneurship by set up abussiness such as homestay and laundy. The point of view of society to the customary order is the society seens strong with the wealth that they have. This article is the result of a doctoral research and from the reflections and researches developed by the Social Pedagogy Group. The main objective is to analyze the discourses carried in children's literature from a post-structuralist perspective and some notes by Foucault on the articulation between discourse, power, and knowledge. For the analysis and understanding of the speeches and the textual and iconographic forms conveyed on the black and black characters, we use children's works produced after the promulgation of Law 10.639/2003, which established the inclusion in the official curriculum of the teaching network of the subject matter "History and Afro-Brazilian Culture". Our initial hypothesis was that discourses on black and black characters, as well as their culture, ancestry, and especially religiosity, kept the operationalization of racism. From the theoretical-methodological point of view, the research is qualitative of an ethnographic nature.

ABSTRAKProses mengadaptasi novel menjadi skenario tidaklah mudah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji lebih dalam karakterisasi, struktur, isu sosial, dan dialog. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi (content analysis) model Philipp Mayring dengan strategi membandingkan isi novel dan skenario film. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Penelitian ini mengungkap adanya pengubahan karakterisasi asli Anya dengan membuatnya menjadi wanita yang lebih tegar dan tahu tujuan hidupnya. Sementara, Ale yang digambarkan lebih cool pada novel, digambarkan sebagai suami yang penuh rasa khawatir dan mudah emosi. Penulis skenario harus memangkas bagian deskriptif panjang dari novel ini menggunakan aksi, dialog, dan karakter lain untuk mengungkapkan karakternya. Novel yang memilki banyak penggambaran isu sosial mengharuskan penulis skenario menyederhanakannya menjadi satu permasalahan saja. Film hasil adaptasi memuat dialog yang baik dan terdengar nyata, singkat dan membuat cerita tetap bergerak serta terhubung banyak tercipta pada skenario.Kata kunci: adaptasi, novel, skenario film ABSTRACT  The process of adapting a novel into a situation is easy. The purpose of this research is to examine more deeply the characterization, structure, social issues, and dialogue. This study uses a qualitative approach with the content analysis method of Philipp Mayring's model with a strategy of comparing the contents of novels and film scenarios. The method used is a qualitative method. This research resulted in changing Anya's original characterization by producing a woman who is stronger and knows her purpose in life. Meanwhile, Ale is described as cooler in the novel, portrayed as a husband full of worries and easily emotional. The screenwriter should trim down the long descriptive part of the novel using action, dialogue, and other characters to reveal the characters. In a novel that has many social problems that occur, it requires the screenwriter to be one problem only. Good dialogue that sounds real, is short and keeps the story moving and connected a lot is created in the scenario. Key words: adaptation, novel, film scenario
