A prática da capoeira no ambiente escolar para a formação integral do aluno: uma revisão sistemática

INTRODUÇÃO: A capoeira é considerada um dos maiores símbolos da cultura brasileira que mistura a arte marcial, o esporte, a cultura popular, a música e a dança. Por sua prática globalizada, a capoeira é um conteúdo a ser trabalhado no ambiente escolar visando a educação integral dos alunos, que por sua vez, está incluída na Base Nacional Comum Curricular. OBJETIVO: Avaliar por meio de uma revisão sistemática se a prática da capoeira na escola pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento da educação integral dos alunos. MÉTODOS: Uma busca sistemática utilizados termos relacionados a “Capoeira”, “Educação Física” e “escola” foi realizada nos bancos de dados Periódico CAPES e Scielo, a fim de encontrar artigos elegíveis. Foram utilizados os seguintes critérios de inclusão: i) abordar a temática capoeira em suas diversas dimensões na escola; ii) apresentar a prática da capoeira inserida nas aulas de educação física ou como atividade extracurricular; iii) demonstrar os diferentes desenvolvimentos acerca dessa prática; iv) conciliar a capoeira com a educação integral. Após a seleção, foram extraídas informações sobre as características da amostra, intervenções utilizadas, grupos comparativos, resultados e conclusões, e uma análise descritiva dos resultados foi realizada. A escala PEDro (1999) foi utilizada para avaliar a qualidade dos estudos. RESULTADOS: Foram incluídos um total de oito artigos, no qual dois enfatizaram o desenvolvimento físico/motor e a inteligência corporal cinestésica, e os outros seis variaram apresentando aspectos físicos, sociais, culturais, cognitivos e afetivos. A análise de qualidade dos estudos demonstrou que dois artigos atingiram uma pontuação total de 3/10, enquanto os demais obtiveram uma pontuação de 2/10. CONCLUSÃO: Os resultados apontaram que a prática da capoeira se demonstra como um instrumento positivo para o desenvolvimento da formação integral dos alunos, porém, deve-se considerar a baixa qualidade metodológica dos estudos incluídos. The practice of capoeira in the school environment for student integral formation: A systematic review.BACKGROUND: Capoeira is considered one of the greatest symbols of Brazilian culture that mixes martial arts, sports, popular culture, music and dance. Due to its globalized practice, capoeira is a subject to be worked on in the school environment, aiming at the integral education of students, which in turn, is included in the Common National Curriculum Base. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate, through a systematic review, whether the practice of capoeira at school can contribute to the development of integral education for students. METHODS: A systematic search using terms related to “Capoeira”, “Physical Education” and “school” was performed in the CAPES and Scielo journal databases, in order to find eligible articles. The following inclusion criteria were used: i) addressing capoeira in its various dimensions at school; ii) present the practice of capoeira as part of physical education classes or as an extracurricular activity; iii) demonstrate the different developments regarding this practice; iv) reconciling capoeira with integral education. After selection, information about the characteristics of the sample, interventions used, comparative groups, results and conclusions were extracted, and a descriptive analysis of the results was performed. The PEDro scale (1999) was used to assess the quality of studies. RESULTS: A total of eight articles were included, in which two emphasized physical/motor development and kinesthetic body intelligence, and the other six varied with physical, social, cultural, cognitive and affective aspects. The quality analysis of the studies showed that two articles achieved a total score of 3/10, while the others obtained a score of 2/10. CONCLUSION: The results showed that the practice of capoeira is shown to be a positive instrument for the development of comprehensive training of students, however, the low methodological quality of the included studies must be considered.

Based on this reality, this article aims to discuss Capoeira Angola as a pedagogical strategy of resistance and cultural manifestation, being one of the possibilities of applicability on History and Afro-Brazilian Culture Teaching in public schools in Natal-RN. Based on the local reality, the methodological approach is of a qualitative nature, from the perspective of Cultural Studies. For the composition of the research, literature review procedures were used, such as semi-structured interviews with a Capoeira Angola teacher and a teacher from the initial grades of elementary school, aiming to complement the theoretical discussion carried out in the text. FILOSOFIAS DE ARKHÉ COMO ENFRENTAMENTO AO ONTOCÍDIO: ORALIDADE E CULTURA AFRO-BRASILEIRA / Arkhé Philosophies against the Ontocide: Orality and Afro-Brazilian culture

Neste ensaio parto de uma compreensão da modernidade como um momento na história do pensamento que, entre outras coisas, em sua prática de dominação e subjugação dos corpos africanos e afrodiaspóricos – e por que não citar os corpos ameríndios? –, acabou por sobrevalorizar somente o conhecimento escrito e letrado, descartando a oralidade e a identificando como algo menor. Defendo a hipótese de que, ao negar a esses corpos a Palavra, negou-lhes também o Ser, movimento que denomino ontocídio. Defendo também a compreensão das festas afro-brasileiras como filosofias – compreendidas como filosofias de arkhé – e as demonstro como locais de enfretamento das práticas coloniais e de reontologização. Considero que esta discussão, desenvolvida mediante uma revisão bibliográfica, possa promover novas reflexões para um conhecimento menos colonizado.Palavras-chave: Manifestações culturais; Modernidade; Filosofias africanas e da diáspora; Ontocídio. AbstractThis essay presupposes a meaning of modernity as a moment in the history and as practice of domination and subjugation of African and Afro-diasporic bodies – and why not mention Amerindian bodies –, ended up overvaluing knowledge as something written and literate, discarding oral knowledge and identifying it as something less. The hypothesis to be defended is that by denying these beings the Word, they also denied the Being, a movement that I am calling here ontocide. It is also a hypothesis that Afro-Brazilian manifestations are understood as philosophies, called here arkhé philosophies, I intend to show them precisely as a form to confront colonial practices and as a site for reontologization. I believe that the discussion marked through a bibliographic review can promote new reflections for a less colonized knowledge.Keywords: Cultural manifestations; Modernity; African and Diaspora philosophies; Ontocide.

Empreendedorismo cultural e festa: uma Etnografia da Festa de São João do Porto em Portugal

As festas são espaços históricos e com relevância quando abordamos o estudo do empreendedorismo cultural. Uma festa centenária, que influenciou a cultura brasileira e é uma das mais importantes na Europa nos dias atuais, revela estratégias e inovações pertinentes para a pesquisa e a discussão no campo do empreendedorismo cultural. Este trabalho, portanto, tem como objetivo compreender a relevância e estratégias do empreendedorismo cultural na festa do São do Porto. Para tal, serão discutidas no âmbito teórico e prático, as ideias de empreendedorismo cultural, identidade cultural e juventude, no contexto de uma festa. Como resultado, são apresentados, através da metodologia etnográfica, com a estratégia do estudo de caso, e com apoio das técnicas fotográficas e fílmicas, os elementos teóricos e práticos que constituem a longevidade e potencial de crescimento da festa do São João do Porto em Portugal. A centenary party, which influenced brazilian culture and is one of the most important in Europe today, reveals strategies and relevant innovations for research and discussion in the field of cultural entrepreneurship. This work, therefore, aims to understand the relevance and strategies of cultural entrepreneurship in the São do Porto festival. To this end, the ideas of cultural entrepreneurship, cultural identity and youth will be discussed in the theoretical and practical scope, in the context of a party. As a result, the theoretical and practical elements that constitute the longevity and growth potential of the São João do Porto festival in Portugal are presented, through the ethnographic methodology with the case study strategy, and with the support of photographic and filmic techniques. Una fiesta centenaria, que influyó en la cultura brasileña y es una de las más importantes de Europa en la actualidad, revela estrategias e innovaciones relevantes para la investigación y discusión en el campo del emprendimiento cultural. Este trabajo, por tanto, tiene como objetivo comprender la relevancia y las estrategias del emprendimiento cultural en el festival de São do Porto. Para ello, las ideas de emprendimiento cultural, identidad cultural y juventud serán discutidas en el ámbito teórico y práctico, en el contexto de una fiesta. Como resultado, se presentan los elementos teóricos y prácticos que constituyen la longevidad y potencial de crecimiento del festival São João do Porto en Portugal, a través de la metodología etnográfica con la estrategia de estudio de caso, y con el apoyo de técnicas fotográficas y fílmicas. A cultura afro-brasileira em trabalhos de Etnomatemática: Uma revisão sistemática de pesquisas acadêmicas nacionaisThe afro-brazilian culture in works of Ethnomatematic: A systematic review of national academic researches

ResumoEste artigo tem como objetivo apresentar uma revisão sistemática de literatura sobre as produções realizadas no Brasil que tratam a etnomatemática em contexto cultural afro-brasileiro, expondo não apenas uma organização de dados, mas também uma breve noção sobre o que vem sendo produzido por pesquisas acadêmicas. Para isso, este estudo seguiu o protocolo de uma revisão sistemática de literatura estabelecido pelo Instituto Cochrane e, para localização e seleção das pesquisas, foi utilizada a Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações como base de pesquisa. Por meio das buscas realizadas e com critérios definidos, foram selecionadas onze pesquisas, entre teses e dissertações. Com essa revisão sistemática, pode-se concluir que: há pesquisas acadêmicas que tratam a etnomatemática relacionada à cultura afro-brasileira defendidas no Brasil de 2005 a 2019; essas pesquisas abordam a vida em uma comunidade quilombola, artesanato, jogos africanos, agremiação de samba e estatística étnico-racial; tais pesquisas acadêmicas são favoráveis tanto para linha de pesquisa etnomatemática como para o cumprimento da Lei nº 11.645/08; é necessário ter novas pesquisas que busquem associar a etnomatemática aos demais contextos culturais afro-brasileiros de modo a pluralizar as pesquisas sobre etnomatemática e cultura afro-brasileira. Palavras-chave: Matemática, Etnomatemática, cultura afro-brasileira, teses, dissertações.AbstractThis article aims to present a systematic review of the literature on the productions made in Brazil that deal with ethnomathematics in an Afro-Brazilian cultural context, exposing not only an organisation of data but also a brief notion about what has been produced by academic research. For this, this study followed the protocol of a systematic literature review established by the Cochrane Institute and, for the location and selection of the studies, the Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações/Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations was used as a research base. Through the searches carried out and with defined criteria, eleven studies were selected, among theses and dissertations. With this systematic review, we concluded that: there are academic works that deal with ethnomathematics related to Afro-Brazilian culture defended in Brazil from 2005 to 2019; these studies address life in a quilombola community, handicrafts, African games, samba association and ethnic-racial statistics; such academic research is favourable both for the ethnomathematical research line and for the fulfilment of Law nº 11.645/08, and it is necessary to have new research that seeks to associate ethnomathematics with other Afro-Brazilian cultural contexts in order to pluralise research on ethnomathematics and Afro-Brazilian culture.Keywords: Mathematics, Ethnomathematics, afro-brazilian culture, theses, dissertations.ResumenEste artículo tiene como objetivo presentar una revisión sistemática de la literatura sobre las producciones realizadas en Brasil que abordan la etnomatemática en un contexto cultural afrobrasileño, exponiendo no solo una organización de datos, sino también una breve noción sobre lo producido por investigaciones académicas. Para ello, este estudio siguió el protocolo de revisión sistemática de la literatura establecido por el Instituto Cochrane y, para la ubicación y selección de la investigación, se utilizó como base de investigación la Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações. A través de las búsquedas realizadas y con criterios definidos, se seleccionaron once investigaciones, entre tesis y disertaciones. Con esta revisión sistemática, se puede concluir que: existen investigaciones académicas que abordan las etnomatemáticas relacionadas con la cultura afrobrasileña defendidas en Brasil de 2005 a 2019; estas investigaciones abordan la vida en una comunidad quilombola, artesanías, juegos africanos, asociaciones de samba y estadísticas étnico-raciales; dichas investigaciones académicas son favorables, tanto para la línea de investigación de etnomatemáticas como para el cumplimiento de la Lei nº 11.645/08; es necesario contar con una nueva investigación que busque asociar la etnomatemática a otros contextos culturales afrobrasileños para así pluralizar la investigación sobre etnomatemática y la cultura afrobrasileña.Palabras clave: Matemáticas, Etnomatemáticas, Cultura afrobrasileña, Tesis, Disertaciones.

Knowledge-Based Assessment Applied to Lean Brazilian Toyota Plants

This paper proposes knowledge-based assessment applied to Brazilian Toyota plants which practice Lean manufacturing to evaluate work, production, and knowledge factors based on the perspective of blue-collar workers and managers. The two researched plants were selected based on being pure Toyota DNA representatives, and belong to two Toyota auto parts makers (‘polar' cases), in which TPS is “transparently observable.” The results evidence that employees judge factors related to people as important and considered the relationship between knowledge and Lean in the plants are aligned. The data indicates that the Brazilian culture does not influence changes in the Toyota work context and DNA. The contribution of this study is to provide an assessment instrument that integrates the production, knowledge, and work context for a Lean system, understanding blue-collar manufacturing employees and front-line supervisors are therefore essential to the success of a Lean implementation. Finally, the paper offers a guideline to assess and develop a favorable context to encourage knowledge sharing.

Brazilian Portuguese translation and cross-cultural adaptation of Edinburgh Cognitive and Behavioural Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Screen (ECAS)

The translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the screening test Edinburgh Cognitive and Behavioral ALS Screen (ECAS) for the Portuguese language of Brazil was carried out in this article. The adaptations were developed based on authors' guidelines and specific literature: translation; synthesis; back-translation and cross-cultural adaptation (technical review and semantic equivalence). The tests were adapted with the aid of a pilot group of 46 healthy individuals, mean age 52.6 ± 13.88 years and 13.8 ± 5.10 years of studies, 26 females and 20 males, randomly recruited among the caregivers of the patients of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Federal University of Goiás, Brazil. After translation of all fifteen ECAS subtests, nine were adapted and six not gone through cross-cultural adaptation. In the Language-Naming subtest the fox figure (13.04% of errors) was replaced by the image of the alligator; 5 words (41.66%) of the Language-Spelling subtest were replaced. In the Executive-Alternation subtest, 11-K or 11-L was accepted as a response, provided the subsequent sequence was correct. A Verbal Fluency Index (IFV) table was established, with data from the pilot group, which will be the reference for the Brazilian version. The three subtests for memory evaluation (Immediate Recall, Delayed Recall and Delayed Recognition) are based on a story that has been adapted to Brazilian culture. The protocol has been translated and adapted to Brazilian Portuguese and has undergone processes of content, verbal comprehension and semantic equivalence, being called Edimburgo - Rastreio Cognitivo-Comportamental em ELA (ECAS-BR). It is necessary to continue this study for external validity, equivalence of measurement and reproducibility.

Brazilian native metal and the experience of transculturation

Politics and identity go together in Brazilian heavy metal. Headbangers often experience accusations regarding their less-than-Latin-American identity for enjoying a foreign musical style more than their own native styles. Even though this is partially true, Brazilian heavy metal engages national and musical identity in at least two different ways. The first is through the denial of any connection to Brazilian culture and its roots by accepting this anglophone genre. The second is through the transformation of the musical genre itself, thanks to the influence of Brazilian folk music. Based on these changes, we intend to describe how Sepultura laid down the roots that eventually flourished in the music of Arandu Arakuaa, a band associated with a movement known as the ‘Insurgency of Native Metal’, which describes itself as a union of Brazilian metal bands that write and perform songs about their country. We will also delve into how Sepultura, a highly regarded group often added as part of the ‘big five’ of thrash metal, used this influence to pave the way for other Brazilian bands, specifically Arandu Arakuaa, encouraging them to explore further possibilities regarding transculturation. Thus, in this article we intend to contemplate transculturation as a theoretical concept and as a tool to understand Brazilian heavy metal within its contradictions and core beliefs.
