: This study aims to describing the improvement of thematic learning process by using scientific approach in Grade 1 Elementary School of 04 Birugo Bukittinggi. This research used qualitative and quantitative approach. This research was classroom action research and had two cycles. The research subject was a teacher and 30 students of Grade 1 Elementary School of 04 Birugo Bukittinggi. The study’s results shows the increasing in: Lesson plan of the first cycle is meeting 1 77,77% (good), meeting 2 88,89% (good), and the second cycle meeting 1 is 94,44% (very good), meeting 2 97,22% (very good). Teacher’s activities in first cycle meeting 1 is 78,33% (good), meeting 2 86,67% (good), the second cycle meeting 1 is 93,33% (very good), meeting 2 96,67% (very good). Student’s activities in first cycle meeting 1 is 78,33% (good), meeting 2 86,67% (good), the second cycle meeting 1 is 93,33% (very good), meeting 2 96,67% (very good). Therefore, the scientifict method can increase the integrated thematic learning at elementary school

The purpose of this research was to improve the student learning outcomes in the Civics learning used Picture And Picture in grade V elementary school. Types of this research was classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approach. Subject of this research were teacher and students of V grades were 26. Research conducted in two cycles. The research procedure includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result of this research I to II cycle. (a) Lesson plan. The cycle of I was 89% increased to 96% in the II cycle. (b) Implementation, teacher’s activity of I cycle was 86,5% increased to 98%. Students activity of I cycle had averaged was 75% increased in the cycle was 95%. (c) The students learning outcomes in the I cycle was 73 increased to II cycle was 85. Therefore, Picture And Picture appoach can increase the students learning outcomes in the Civics learning in the V grade of elementary school of 09 Belakang Balok, Bukittinggi

The purpose of this research was improve the students achievement in learning social science used PBL of 4th grade elementary school. Types of this research was classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approach. Subject of this research were students of 4th grade were 18 people consist of 8 men and 10 women. Research conducted in two cycles with research procedure includes of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result of research was improve a) Lesson plan the cycles of I was 76,78% and the cycles II of 92,86% b) Implementation teacher’s activity of I cycle was 75% and II cycle was 92,86% while implementation students activity of I cycle was 73,22% and II cycle was 92,86% c) the students learning outcomes in the I cycle was 75,89 and II cycle was 86,82. It can be concluded that used PBL model can improve students achievement in learning social science of 4th grade at SDN 25 ATS Kota Padang.Keywords: Learning outcomes, Social science, PBL

This research is a collaboration between faculty and students, with the aim of generating a synergy in the final work. The purpose of this study was to increase student’s ability to sing national anthems with direct teaching on 4th grade of SDN 01 Bandar Buat Padang. This study uses qualitative and quantitative approach to the type of research is the Classroom Action Research (PTK ). The results showed the increase of student’s ability to sing outcomes in the first cycle is obtained an average of 74,6 % , while in the second cycle gained an average of 87,6 %.Keywords: Singing Skills; Direct Learning Model

<p><em>This research is aimed  to improve mathematics students learning </em><em>ability </em><em>in elementary school, especially </em><em>on fraction</em><em> materials through throughthe implementation of cooperative learning on </em><em>think pair share</em><em>. This research was a classroom action research refferedto Kemmis and Mc Taggart’s design, which includes planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. </em><em>The research subject were all the student of sixthgrade  in SDN </em><em>2 Tropodo Waru Sidoarjo</em><em> in  the  the period of 2015/2016. The low of student’s achievements were indicated because the students were not active and the teacher’s lack of skill. This condition needs a further research in order to improve the student’s achievement through cooperative learning type SAVI in impulse and momentum subject. The specific purposes of this research are to describe: 1) teacher’s skill, 2) the student’s achievements; 3) the students’ participation in the classroom; and 4) the students’ responses. These research were classroom action research that consists of 3 cycles. The instruments were used Lesson Plan, Worksheet, Evaluation Sheet, affective scoring sheet, teacher’s skill and student’s participation observation sheet, and the students’ response observation sheet. The data were acquired by the observation results, questionnaire, and documentation. The results of this research were: 1) The teacher’s skill was improved from 99.21% to 96% and 99.28%; 2) the students’ achievements including cognitive and affective aspects were improved from 81.46% to 88.1%, and 90.96%; 3) The participation of students in teaching and learning process were also increased from 63.67% to 84.43%, and 85.5% in cycle III, 4) the students’ responses during teaching and learning process were very good. According to the results, it can be concluded that the achievements of XI IPA-1 students of SMA Negeri 1 Jorong in learning impulse and momentum were improved after the treatment of cooperative learning model type SAVI.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan menjabarkan kesiapan guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah dalam melaksanakan pembelaran tematik berdasarkan standar yang berlaku. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 10 Aceh Tengah. Data penelitian ini telah diuji keabsahannya menggunakan triangulasi data dan member check, dan dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa: 1) sebagian guru yang telah memahami konsep pembelajaran tematik tidak dapat menearapkan pembelajaran tematik; 2) guru telah mampu menyusun rencana pembelajaran tematik dengan baik; 3) guru melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran tematik sesuai dengan RPP yang disusunnya, 4) dan metode dan media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran tematik kurang bervariasi, dan 5) guru kurang terampil dalam menyusun rubrik penilaian autentik. Kesulitan guru dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran tematik adalah; 1) kondisi sarana belajar yang tidak memadai; 2) sumber belajar dan media yang digunakannya masih sangat terbatas, 3) kesulitan dalam menyusun rubrik penilaian sikap; dan 4) guru kesulitan dalam menguraikan kegiatan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan pendekatan saintifik. AbstractThis study aims to analyze and describe the readiness of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers in carrying out thematic learning based on applicable standards. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The research subject is a teacher at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 10 Central Aceh. The validity of this research data has been tested using data triangulation and member check, and analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study found that: 1) some teachers who had understood the concept of thematic learning were unable to apply thematic learning; 2) the teacher has been able to develop a thematic lesson plan well; 3) teachers carry out thematic learning activities in accordance with the RPP they have compiled, 4) and the methods and learning media used by teachers in thematic learning are less varied, and 5) teachers are less skilled in compiling authentic assessment rubrics. The difficulties of teachers in implementing thematic learning are; 1) conditions of inadequate learning facilities; 2) learning resources and media used are still very limited, 3) difficulties in compiling an attitude assessment rubric; and 4) the teacher has difficulty in describing learning activities that are in accordance with the scientific approach.

AbstrakKeterlibatan siswa Sekolah Dasar di dalam proses pembelajaran masih menghadapi berbagai permasalahan. Salah satunya adalah karena guru masih cenderung menjadi pusat atau aktor utama. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan sikap percarya diri peserta didik pada pembelajaran tematik materi energi melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 17 siswa Sekolah Dasar yang terdiri dari 6 laki-laki dan 11 perempuan. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes, dimana data yang diperoleh dianalisa secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi energi, sikap percaya diri dan aktif di dalam proses pembelajaran.AbstractThe involvement of elementary school students in the learning process still faces various problems. One of them is because the teacher still tends to be the center or the main actor. This classroom action research aims to improve learning outcomes and students' self-confidence in the thematic learning of energy materials through the application of problem-based learning strategies. The participants of this study were 17 elementary school students consisting of 6 boys and 11 girls. This classroom action research was carried out in two learning cycles. The data collection techniques used were observation and tests, where the data obtained were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that problem-based learning can improve student learning outcomes in terms of energy, self-confidence and activeness in the learning process.

The purposes of this study were (1) The comprehension of the fourth grade teachers about the scientific approach and integrated thematic learning; (2) the integrated thematic lesson plan with a scientific approach; (3) the implemented steps of the scientific approach to the core activities of the learning process; (4) the activities of learners in the integrated thematic learning with a scientific approach; (5) the attitudes of students in the integrated thematic learning with a scientific approach; and (6) the factors supporting and inhibiting to the application of scientific approach in the integrated thematic learning.The approach used was a qualitative descriptive approach. The instrument of collecting data consisted of nonparticipant observation, interview and documentation study. The data Triangulation was done in two ways which were triangulation sources and triangulation methods.The results showed that the designed lesson plan was an integrated thematic scientific approach. The learning process was done according to the core activities with the scientific approach activity steps. The activities of students have also been according to the steps in the scientific approach. It is needed the supporting factors such as facilities and infrastructure to succeed the learning. However, there is also the obstructed factors.

The objectives of the research were to find out whether snakes and ladders game can improve the students’ vocabulary mastery and to describe the class atmosphere when the snakes and ladders game is implemented in the class. The research was carried out at elementary school in  Karangmojo. The approach used in this research was a classroom action research. It was conducted from May 2014 to June 2014. The subject of the research was the fifth grade of an elementary school in Karangmojo in the academic year of 2013/2014. The researcher collected the data using qualitative and quantitative method. The result of this research showed that the use of snakes and ladders game could improve the students’ vocabulary mastery and class atmosphere. The improvement of the students’ vocabulary mastery included; the students could understand the meaning of word, pronounce the words correctly,  spell the vocabulary correctly , and  use the words in appropriate context of situation. The improvement of class atmosphere included; the students’ interest toward the material increased, they were active during the lesson, and could work in group and individually. The students’ mean scores improved which could be seen from their mean score of pre-test (59.2), post-test 1 in cycle 1 (69.1), and also post-test 2 in cycle 2 (77.6).

The purpose of this study is to improve the activities and learning outcomes of Bahasa Indonesia subject matter, and the topic isabout intrinsic and extrinsic elements of prose literature work. The method used is crossword puzzle method for grade V studentsof state elementary school no 165 Pekanbaru. This research is classroom action research (CAR) with guidance from classroomaction research Wardani and Kuswaya Wihardiet (2019). classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. To find outstudents' knowledge, a pre-cycle test is conducted. Then the planning for correction is carried out in cycle I and cycle II. Thesubject of the study was the fifth grade students of state elementary school no 165 Pekanbaru, with the number is 45 students.Data collection method is carried out based on documentation, observation, and tests. Data analysis techniques by analyzingdata through data collection, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This CAR is carried out in two cycles, each cyclearranges lesson plan, Procedures for implementing, evaluating, reflecting, learning outcomes of Bahasa Indonesian with a totalscore 3230 averaging 70.22; the first cycle is 3353 with an average of 48.89; and cycle II increased to 97.78. For studentscompleteness in pre-cycle is 26.67 cycle I increased to 48.85% and cycle II becomes 97.78%. It can be concluded that the use ofcrossword puzzle method can improve learning outcomes and learning activities of fifth grade students of state elementary schoolno 165 Pekanbaru.
