Skipjack tuna is the result of the main capture fisheries in the South Halmahera district which experienced significant growth of 4,2 percent during the 2016-2018 period, but increased production experienced constraints in the marketing system and caused income uncertainty for fishermen and traders. The purpose of this study was to determine the marketing system of skipjack tuna in the South Halmahera Regency using a structural, behavioural, and performance (SCP) approach. The sampling method uses snowball sampling which started with 68 fishermen. The results showed that the market structure formed was an oligopsonistic market structure and there was a barrier to market entry of 14 percent. Meanwhile, market behaviour shows that fishermen only act as price takers. Based on the marketing margin analysis, there are 10 (ten) skipjack fish marketing channels. Judging from the value of large skipjack fish, marketing channel 7 has the highest margin value of 70,4 percent and the lowest is channel 8 of 53,9 percent. Meanwhile, the marketing channel of small fish the highest margin value is marketing channel 9 of 73,9 and the lowest is channel 9 of 65,1 percent. While the value of farmer share, channel 1 has the highest value of 70 percent and the lowest is channel 7 of 36 percent. Overall, skipjack tuna marketing channels have not been efficient.

This research was conducted in Balobone Village, Mawasangka Sub-district, Central Buton Regency. Coconut farmers in Balobone village have problems, in addition to the low quality of copra as well as price fluctuations in a short time often occur in copra marketing so that it affects the marketing efficiency that is formed. For this reason, a comprehensive assessment of the most efficient copra marketing system needs to be carried out, so that it can provide a proportional income contribution for farmers. The objectives of this study are: (1) Knowing copra marketing channels in Balobone Village; (2) Knowing the number of costs, margins and profits received by each marketing institution involved in copra marketing in Balobone Village; (3) Analyzing copra market performance in Balobone Village through analysis of marketing margins and producer share. The sampling procedure is carried out in an institutional approach with a snowball sampling method with the amount adjusted to field conditions and research analysis needs. Marketing channel analysis is done descriptively qualitatively to see the pattern of marketing channels formed during the copra drainage process from producer farmers to exporter traders. The conclusions of the research are (1) Farmers in marketing copra produced through 2 patterns of marketing channels, namely: a. The pattern I Marketing Channels: Inter-island Traders Surabaya Big Surabaya Traders. (2) The result of Analysis of Marketing Margin 1 received by traders shows that the marketing margin of the village collecting trader is IDR 600/Kg, costs IDR 350/Kg, Profits IDR 250/Kg, while the marketing margin of the big traders in Baubau Town is IDR 3,700/kg, with the cost IDR 1,354.5/kg, the profit received is IDR 2,543.5 / kg. Pattern 2 marketing margin received by inter-island traders is IDR 4,300, with a total cost of IDR 1,354.5/Kg, with a profit of IDR 2,945.5/Kg; (3) The percentage of the price received by farmers from each of the marketing channels I patterns is 53% and the marketing channel pattern 2 is 53. Thus, the copra marketing system of the 2 marketing channel patterns formed in Balobone Village is efficient. Takisung District is one of the centers for beef cattle in Tanah Laut Regency. In creating an efficient and profitable marketing system for both farmers and consumers, farmers must choose short marketing channels. This study aims to identify the shape of the beef cattle marketing channel, determine the costs, benefits, margins, and farmer's share, and the marketing efficiency received by beef cattle producers. This research was conducted in Takisung District, Tanah Laut Regency. The sample villages were chosen deliberately, namely the three villages with the highest number of farmers (Source Makmur Village, Takisung Village, and Gunung Makmur Village). The sample of farmer respondents in each village was chosen randomly in proportion, with a total sample of 30 farmers. To select local traders and cutting traders, the snowball sampling method was used. The study was conducted from March to May 2020. The results showed that there were 4 forms of beef cattle marketing channels, namely Channel I (breeders – consumers), Channel II (breeders – slaughterers-consumers), Channel III (breeders – local traders – consumers), and Channel IV (breeders – local traders – slaughterers – consumers). Furthermore, costs, profits, margins, and farmer's share per head of cattle as well as marketing efficiency for each marketing channel, namely channel 1 with costs, profits, and marketing margins of Rp.0 and farmer's share get 100% results. Channel 2 with a cost of Rp. 570,000, a profit of Rp. 4,950,000 and a margin of Rp. 5,520,000 and a farmer's share with a yield of 73.74%. Furthermore, channel 3 with a cost of Rp.243,000, a profit of Rp.457,000, and a margin of Rp.700,000, and farmer's share obtained a yield of 95.39%. Finally, channel 4 with a cost of Rp. 1,766,000, a profit of Rp. 5,124,000 and a margin of Rp. 5,920,000 and farmer's share getting 71.84% results. Economically, beef cattle marketing can be said to be relatively efficient in all marketing channels. The most efficient marketing channels are channel 1 and channel 3.

Karawang Regency is the center of milkfish production in West Java. Milkfish production continues to increase, but the prices fluctuate. Price fluctuations cause income uncertainty both for farmers as producers and traders as marketing agencies. Price fluctuations are closely related to marketing systems. The purpose of this study was to determine the marketing system and marketing efficiency of milkfish in Tirtajaya District, Karawang Regency. The sampling method was carried out by the snowball sampling method which started from 33 farmers. The results showed that there were 6 (six) marketing channels for milkfish in Tirtajaya District. Marketing agencies that involved are village traders, wholesalers, retailers and processors. Judging from the marketing margin value and farmer's share, all marketing channels of milkfish formed in Tirtajaya District are efficient. Marketing channel 1 more efficient relatively with the lowest margin value of 9,71 percent and the highest farmer share of 90.29 percent. The ratio of profit to cost ratio for all marketing channel is distributed evenly.

Parigi Moutong is one of cocoa production center in the Central Sulawesi province. The problem faced by cocoa farmers in Parigi Moutong is the weak bargaining position of farmers in the price determination. The purpose of this study is to analyze cocoa beans market structure, conduct and performance at Parigi Moutong district. The methods used are market concentration and exit barriers to analyze market structure; market conductand farmer share and marketing margin to analyze market performance. The results show that the market of cocoa beans has four marketing channels which the highest total margin is on 2nd channel (Rp 25 465 and oligopsony structure. The most efficient marketing channel is channel 3 with 58.01 percent of farmer share. One of alternatives to increase farmer’s bargaining position in determining the cocoa price is by improving the cocoa quality through fermentation. This can be conducted by the farmer empowerment systematically and sustainably.

This study aims to determine the market structure, behavior and performance of maize marketing in Wonogiri District. The basic research method is analytical descriptive. The research location was chosen purposively. The farmers sample were determined by using quota sampling, while traders sample were chosen by using snowball sampling method. The research data is analyzed by SCP approach (Structure, Conduct, and Performance of Market). The research results showed that the market structure of maize in Wonogiri District leads to the incomplete market competition, namely oligopsony market. This market structure causes the inefficient market. The market conduct is inefficient, it is showed by the β1 (0.785) <1. There are four types of maize marketing channel in Wonogiri District with the farmer’s share more than 50%. It indicates that the maize marketing in Wonogiri District is included in efficient category.

Catfish is one of the leading fishery commodities in Indonesia. Its production is high in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, that is, 45.44% of the total aquaculture production and 35.58% of the total aquaculture production. This study aimed to determine the type of marketing channels, including the conduct and performance of catfish marketing, and the efficiency of catfish marketing in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Samples were obtained through purposive and snowball sampling, and data were collected through in-depth interviews with 30 respondents and examined through descriptive analysis and an SCP approach focusing on conduct and performance analysis. Result showed that two marketing channels were available. The first type consisted of fish farmers, collectors, and retailers, and the second type included fish farmers and retailers. Market conduct analysis revealed that the determination of the catfish price was dominated by collectors, marketing costs varied among players, and the government did not intervene with its trade. Market performance analysis indicated that fish farmers received 71.98% of their share on marketing channel 1 and 80.49% on marketing channel 2. The profit-to-cost ratios of collectors and retailers were 1.31 and 0.29 in marketing channel 1, respectively. In marketing channel 2, the profitto-cost ratio of retailers was 1.65. Therefore, marketing channel 2 was more efficient than marketing channel 1.

This study aims to: 1). Analyzing the marketing channels of the Snakehead fish (Channa striata) catch in Central Muning Village. 2). Analyzing the potential margins of the Snakehead Fish (Channa striata) business in Central Muning Village. 3). Analyzing the part (share) price received by catching Snakehead in Central Muning Village. 4). Analyzing the feasibility of Snakehead fishing in Central Muning Village and the business feasibility of the marketing actors. The method of data collection is done by observation and interviews. The sample in this study was determined by purposive sampling method. Sampling is done by two methods: Census Sampling and Snowball Sampling. This research was conducted in the Central Muning Village, Daha Selatan Sub-district, Hulu Sungai Selatan District. The results of this study indicate that the Snakehead fish marketing system in Central Muning Village from the producer level to the final consumer level generally has 2 marketing channel patterns. Snakehead fish marketing margin in Central Muning Village in the marketing pattern I was Rp. 4000, - while the marketing margin in the marketing pattern II for collecting traders is Rp. 2000, - and for retailers Rp. 3000, -. The share value received by fishermen caught is 90%. Looking from the business feasibility analysis carried out, the business of catching Snakehead Fish in the village of Central Muning is feasible to continue.

The purposes of this study were to know marketing channel, marketing margin, share, and marketing profit of fresh fruit bunches of oil palm in Tempakan Village, Batu Engau Subregency, Paser Regency. The study was conducted from June to August 2016. The sampling method was done with two ways as random sampling in farmer level and in marketing channel as snowball sampling. Data analysis were done by calculating marketing margin, share, and marketing profit. The results of this study showed that there are two marketing channels in reserach location are channel of level zero and channel of level one. Marketing margin in farmer level was Rp40.39 kg-1 and margin in whole trader level was Rp314.44 kg-1. The average share of farmer level was 97.58% and in trader level was 81.48%. Margin and share that profitable for farmer is at channel of level zero. The average of profit in whole trader level of fresh fruit bunches was 112.75%, that meant marketing by whole trader is profitable.

Gambier  is  one  of  the  commodity  export  in  Indonesia  and  it  has  been supplied  80%  of  the  world’s  needs.  The  largest  gambier  production  area  is  Lima Puluh  Kota  Regency,  West  Sumatera  (70,39%).  The  benefit  from  its  position  as  the biggest  gambier  supplier  or  producer  is  not  enjoyed  by  gambier  farmer  because  of weak gambier marketing  and  the role of  merchand middlement had a more powerful and dominant  for  determine  of gambier prices.  The purpose of this study  is  analyzing marketing  system  of  gambier  through  marketing  channel  analysis,  marketing channel’s  role  analysis  (farmer  group  and  merchand  middlemen)  and  operational efficiency analysis. This study was conducted from Desember 2014 until January 2015 in  Kapur  IX  Subdistrict,  Lima  Puluh  Kota  Regency,  West  Sumatera.  Farmer s  were chosen  by  purposive  sampling  method  and  middlemen  were  chosen  by  snowball sampling  method. Data processing  in this study was  using  descriptive qualitative and quantitative  analysis.  The  result  of  this  study  showed  that  there  are  4  marketing channels  of  gambier  marketing.  Based  on  operational  efficiency  indicator,  all marketing channels had been inefficiency because of weak farmer’s bargaining power so their  role is just as a price taker. But  among all  marketing channels, channel  4  is more  efficient  relatively  based  on  benefit and cost  ratio,  price  share  and  marketing function implementation. The result of this  study  also  showed that farmer  group  and farmer  association  of  gambier  are  still  in  starter  institution  so  that  they  are  not capable to contribute in marketing gambier.
