The finding result of Alfred Binnet dan Theodore Simon (1905) about IQ (Intelligence Quotient) is perceived by many people as a determined factor of an individual success in various life sectors. However, IQ and / or intellect approach has not succeeded yet in improving a student’s learning achievement in academic performance results, hard skills, moreover soft skills. This research is aimed to understand deeply on the importance and the need of soft skills development in schools especially elementary school. The study employs qualitative research method with multiple case study design, in which a meaning making activity is underlined as the first objective of interpretive research in understanding social phenomena of education activities. The phenomena of soft skillsoccurs in real-life events andcurrent situation, as well as programs and activities. In this qualitative research method the researcher conducted three main activities such as in-depth interview, observation and to get relevant data collection in order to enrich and complete the previous obtained data. Based on findings, it is known substantively that students’ soft skills will not be developed if the instructional management focuses on academic. Besides, soft skills will enhance significantly students’ academic results, because soft skills will enable and improve students’ potentials to reach the best learning achievement. In Islamic perspective, the quality of soft skills within akhlak-adab domain will be more better if soft skills’ development are referred to a sound heart (qolbun salim). Finally, it is shown in formal finding that the instructional management of students’ soft skills is a must and it is importance to be implemented in education particularly in elementary school.

The article discusses the procedures of filing a plea to execute verdicts on providing māḍiyah maintenance and the effort to implement the verdicts in Syar’iyyah Court Banda Aceh.  The study was conducted with a qualitative approach and the collected data were analyzed with a descriptive-analysis method based on Islamic law perspective. The result shows that the procedure and the legal effort to file an execution toward the verdict related to māḍiyah maintenance in Syar’iyyah Court are distinguished into two types of divorce, i.e. talak divorce and filed divorce. In talak divorce, the execution of the verdict related to maintenance is conducted during the reading of the talak pledge. In the filed divorce, the ex-wife’s lawsuit related to maintenance which is neglected by the ex-husband is entitled to be legally sued through filing a plea on execution. The phases as follows: (1) the ex-wife files a plea of execution to the court, (2) pay the execution cost, (3) aanmaning (a warning to the defendant), (4) the ex-husband and ex-wife comply with the summons by the court, (5) the court establishes executorial beslag (executing confiscation), (6) the court establishes an execution order, (7) an auction. According to the Islamic perspective, the execution of māḍiyah maintenance can be conducted following the ex-wife’s lawsuit to the court. The execution of māḍiyah maintenance can be performed by the court based on the valid provisions of executing māḍiyah maintenance in Syar’iyah Court upon consideration of benefit and expediency principles.

Every bank needs to strengthen their society's acceptance to exist and grow in the long term. As a country with the largest Muslim population, Islamic banks’ market share in Indonesia is still relatively small. These banks should obtain legitimacy from stakeholders for business continuity and growth. To ensure legitimacy, the impact of all of the corporation's activities on society's welfare is a significant concern. Several studies showed that CSR activities are needed to increase legitimacy. However, previous studies regarding CSR and legitimacy mostly used the positive paradigm, and mostly conducted in Western societies. Since the discussion on this matter in Islamic banking in Indonesia is not yet found, this study aims to understand how Islamic banks in Indonesia implement CSR to gain legitimacy using an Islamic perspective. This research is based on the ontology that reality is constructed by business actors who implement CSR programs. A qualitative case study is used by interviewing practitioners who are in charge of CSR programs in the two largest Islamic banks in Indonesia and supported by banks’ reports. This study reveals how legitimacy is achieved in the context of an Indonesian Islamic bank.

Abstract:In this study, we will review together with a number of chosen scholars who have been defending modernism of which they have been so profoundly talk about. In particular, we are talking about those who adopted the western thought in its political, social and cultural dimensions in order to see that these thoughts would emerge triumphant over the invaded culture and promoting the idea of separating between the subjective self and the objective facts. In the light of this, the views of ‘Abdel ‘Aziz Hammoudah in criticizing these figures will be studied. Keywords: Modernism – Non Importance – Islamic Perspective – Tunnel Of Loss – Solution.

Political Development: An Islamic Perspective is divided into two broad parts: the conceptual foundations of political development and its case studies. Part One contains seven chapters that deal with the conceptual foundations of political development, thereby signifying the importance of clarifying the concept so that an Islamic alternative to political development can be found. Part Two contains three chapters, each a case study of the political development experience in Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Sudan.Khurshid Ahmad, a central figure in the London-based Islamic Foundation, provides the much-needed position from which an Islamic perspective on political development should begin. His chapter, "Islamic Approach to Development," outlines the philosophical foundations of an Islamic approach to development and the goals of a development policy. He begins by uncovering the flaws of western thinking on development, which have resulted in what he calls "de-development." The West's various development strategies are actually designed so that the developed countries can exploit the developing countries. Tn terms of development's philosophical foundations, Ahmad empha sizes tawhid (God's unity and sovereignty), rububiyah (the divine arrangements for nourishing, sustaining, and directing things toward their perfection), khilafah (human beings' role as God's vicegerent on Earth), and tazkiyah (purification plus growth). Hence, Islam's position takes into account humanity's role vis-a-vis its Creator and fellow human beings. The objectives of development transcend this world, for they also have an eye on the Hereafter ...
