ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pertumbuhan Sargassum sp.yang dibudidaya dengan sistem budidaya yang berbeda di Teluk Ekas Lombok Timur. Jenispenelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen.. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah tanamanSargassum sp yang dibudidayakan dengan sistem budidaya yang berbeda yaitu : rakitterapung dan rakit patok dasar. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan paketprogram komputer pengolahan data yaitu SPSS 16. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan denganmenggunakan uji-t polled varians, dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 dan taraf kepercayaan 95 %,diperoleh t-hitung 11,974 > t-tabel 1,987, atau berdasarkan besarnya nilai probabilitas yangditunjukan, diperoleh probabilitas-hitung 0,00 < probabilitas-tabel 0,05, sehingga Ho ditolakdan Ha diterima, ini artinya terdapat perbedaan pertumbuhan Sargassum sp. yang dibudidayadengan sistem budidaya yang berbeda.Kata-kata kunci: Sargassum sp., Teluk Ekas, Sistem budidaya yang berbeda.ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to determine growth differences of Sargassum sp., werecultured with different cultivation systems in the Ekas Bay of East Lombok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan kombinasi footwork terhadap peningkatan kelincahan dan VO2 Maks. Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian eksperimen, dengan desain “The Non Randomized Pretest Posttest Design Control Group” Subjek penelitian adalah siswa putra SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Singaraja tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 berjumlah 30 orang siswa. VO2 Maks diukur dengan tes MFT dan kelincahan diukur dengan ilionis agility run. Data dianalisis dengan uji t independent pada taraf signifikansi αKata Kunci : kelincahan, pelatihan kombinasi footwork, VO2 Maks. This study was aimed to investigate the effect of footwork combination training on improving agility and VO2 Max. This research was an experimental research, with the design "The Non Randomized Pretest Posttest Design Control Group". The subjects were the students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Singaraja of academic year 2017/2018 as many as 30 students. VO2 Max was measured by MFT test and agility was measured by the illionis agility run. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan Pendekatan Saintifik, mendeskripsikan keefektifan Pendekatan PMRI, dan mendeskripsikan manakah yang lebih efektif diantara Saintifik dan PMRI ditinjau dari prestasi, minat, dan percaya diri. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Babadan Ponorogo Jawa Timur Indonesia dan secara acak terpilih kelas VIIB dan VIIC sebagai sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes dan non-tes, dengan instrumen meliputi soal tes prestasi, angket minat dan percaya diri. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dan Hotelling’s Trace. Hasil penelitian pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa Pendekatan Saintifik efektif ditinjau dari prestasi, minat, dan percaya diri. Pendekatan PMRI efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan percaya diri, tetapi tidak efektif ditinjau dari minat. Saintifik dan PMRI sama-sama efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan percaya diri, akan tetapi ditinjau dari minat Saintifik lebih unggul daripada PMRI.Kata kunci: pendekatan Saintifik, pendekatan PMRI, prestasi, minat, percaya diri The Comparison of the Effectiveness of Scientific and PMRI Approaches Based on the Achievement, Interest, and Self-Confidence of Students of Grade VII AbstractThis quasi-experimental research aims to describe the effectiveness of Scientific Approach, describe the effectiveness of PMRI approach, and describe which is more effective between of Scientific and PMRI Approaches in terms of the achievement, interest, and self-confidence. The population in this research were students of class VII SMPN 2 Babadan Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia, and randomly selected VIIB and VIIC classes as a sample. The data collection techniques were a test and non-test, the instrument covers about mathematics achievement tests, questionnaires for students’ interest and self-confidence. The data were analysed using the t test and the Hotelling's Trace test. The results show that at the significance level of 0.05 the Scientific Approach is effective in terms of students’ achievement, interest, and self-confidence, while the PMRI Approach is effective in terms of learning achievement and self-confidence, but it is not effective in terms of interest. The Scientific and PMRI Approaches are equally effective in terms of learning achievement and self-confidence, but in terms of interest the Scientific Approach is superior to the PMRI Approach.Keywords: Scientific Approach, PMRI Approach, mathematics achievement, interest, self-confidence

This current study aims to investigate the effectiveness of Vocabulary Self-collection Strategy (henceforth VSS) on the students’ reading and vocabulary achievement. The quasi-experimental research was applied and the instruments were pretest-posttest. The independent variable of this study was VSS, while the dependents were reading skill and vocabulary mastery. To collect the data, pretest-posttest was assigned. The test for both reading skill and vocabulary mastery were validated through expert judgment and content validity. Moreover, the reliability of the instruments was measured using inter-rater reliability. The data were analyzed using parametric statistical technique of T-Test and MANOVA test using SPSS 22. Computer program. The findings of this study reveal that VSS had a significant effect toward students’ reading skill and vocabulary mastery. It was indicated by the significant value of T-Test for each reading skill and vocabulary mastery which were lower than 0.05. VSS and Lecturing-practice Strategy had different capability in influencing students’ reading skill and vocabulary mastery scores simultaneously. Also, it was indicated by the significant value of Pillar’s trace, Wilka’s Lambda, Hotellings Trace and Roy’s Largest Root tests are 0.004 which was lower than 0.05. Therefore, all of the hypothesis are accepted.

This research aimed to prove the effectiveness of using animation movie in improving speaking ability of elementary students. The research was conducted in one class of the fourth grade with twenty-nine students and the selected samples were taken by random sampling. The data collection used an oral test as it is an experimental research by using T-test at 0.05 significance level. The results showed that the score of t-observation (to) was 9.43. Moreover, on the 0.05 significance level and with df n-1=28 the score of t-table (tt) was 1.70. It appears to  > tt  (9.43 > 1.70). It can be concluded that using animation movie in teaching speaking was effective for the elementary students. Benefits of the research result were by using animation movie the students could be more confident to speak with others because animation movies had interesting content that made the students interested to retell the animation movie with their own sentences. Therefore, they could be easier to make their own visualization with the movies which they had watched. However, it would be better if a language teacher gives many chances to practice in the classroom along with interesting media.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti efektivitas metode guided discovery dalam pembelajaran sains terhadap perkembangan kognitif anak usia 5-6 tahun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen (quasi-experimental research). Subjek uji efektivitas pada kelas eksperimen sebanyak 22 peserta didik kelas B1 TK ABA Kembaran dan pada kelas kontrol sebanyak 23 peserta didik kelas B2 TK ABA Kembaran. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes lisan peserta didik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan independent sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode guided discovery dalam pembelajaran sains, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada domain kognitif aspek “mengingat” pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. Terdapat perbedaan hasil akhir antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen setelah guru menggunakan metode guided discovery dalam pembelajaran sains dengan p 0,05 kemudian terjadi pula peningkatan yang signifikan dengan p = 0,000. AbstractThis study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the guided discovery method in science learning towards cognitive development in children aged 5-6 years. This type of research was quasi experimental research. The effectiveness test subjects in the experimental class were 22 students in class B1 TK ABA Kembaran and in the control class were 23 students in class B2 TK ABA Kembaran. Data collection used observation sheets and oral tests of students. Data analysis technique used independent sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that by using the guided discovery method in science learning, there were significant differences in the cognitive domain of “remembering” aspect of children aged 5-6 years. There were differences in the final results between the control class and the experimental class after the teacher used the guided discovery method in science learning with p 0.05 then there was also a significant increase with p = 0.000.

Students are required to learn in solving problems in the form of tasks taken. This study aims to find the effect of recitation methods to improve physics learning outcomes and physical learning outcomes in grade VIII students MTs Nunggi. The method used is experimental research. The results showed that the students' activity in the experimental class was very active (average score 3.67) and the control class was quite active (average score 2.33). Teacher activity in the experimental class has been very active (average score 3.67) and in the control class is quite active (average score 2.16). Student learning result data that in experiment and control class is processed using t-test equation. The t-test value is 2.79 at the 5% significance level of 2.79 and the t-table (t-test> t-table). Therefore the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. We conclude that the method of recitation for improving physics learning outcomes in grade VII MTS Nunggi has an effect of 13.63%.

Abstrak:Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya efektivitas pendekatan inkuiri dan model jigsaw terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas 4 SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan quasi experiment research. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t dengan Independent Sample t-Test. Hasil uji-t yang telah diperoleh t-hitung sebesar 4,453 dan taraf signifikansi 0,000. Hasil analisis data untuk mengetahui t-tabel dapat diketahui bahwa t-tabel yang diperoleh sebesar 2,021. Karena t-hitung > t-tabel (4,453 > 2,021) dan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 maka Ha diterima yaitu terdapat efektivitas pendekatan inkuiri dan model jigsaw terhadap minat belajar tematik siswa kelas 4 SD.Abstract: The purpose of the study is to determine whether or not the effectiveness of inquiry approach and jigsaw model on the interest of 4th grade students. Type of research is experimental research with quasi experiment research. The data analysis technique uses t-test with Independent Sample t-Test. The result of t-test that has been obtained t-counted 4,453 and significance level 0,000. Result of data analysis to know t-table can be seen that t-table obtained equal to 2,021. Because of t-count>t-table (4,453>2,021) and significance 0,000<0,05 then Ha accepted, there is effectiveness of inquiry approach and jigsaw model on the interest of 4th grade student.

This research has aims to determine the effectiveness of learning model Think-Talk-Write (TTW) and determine whether the learning TTW modelis more effective than conventional learning to improve student mathematical communication. The research is a quasi experimental research. The populationin this research were all students ofthe second semester in Mathematics Education department. They are divided into four parallel classes. Samples were IIA2 class as the control class and the IIA1 class as a class experiment in Number Theory lesson. The instrument in this researcsh was test of mathematical communication. The analysies of data use SPSS 16, the proportion test of one population, and t test. The hypotesis tests use the proportion test of one population and t test. Based on the results of this research were concluded that : (1) The mathematical learning by learning model Think-Talk-Write is effective to improve the mathematical communication students. It can be proved fromthe results of proportion testonan experimental class of mathematical communication valueis 1.87 > z table with a significance level 5%. Z table is 1.64. (2)The learning model Think-Talk-Write more effective than conventional approaches. It can be proved from the results of t test. The value of mathematical communicationis 2.07 >t table with a significance level 5%. t table is 1.67.

Two mathematical mindsets are two of four mathematical midsets what integrated in the technique of writing observational report text. The four mathematical mindset is the one of latest writing technique that was invented by Ayu Utami. This research aims to determine whether or not the influence of two mathematical mindset assisted skill of writing text on observational reports at 4th grade of SDN Dukuh Menanggal 1 Surabaya. Research use quantitative approach with experimental research is quasi experimental posttest-only design. Sampel in this research is student at 4thA grade as control team and 4thB grade as experiment team.T-test shows that the value of t-test count obtained is 9,860, while the t-table value at 5% significance level with degrees of freedom 37 obtained for 2,0262. This indicates that t-test count (10,794) > t-table (2,0262), so that the hypothesis accepted. The conclusion of research is two mathematical mindsets’ technique is influence assisted by skill of writing text on observational reports at 4th grade of SDN Dukuh Menanggal 1 Surabaya.
