This current study aims to investigate the effectiveness of Vocabulary Self-collection Strategy (henceforth VSS) on the students’ reading and vocabulary achievement. The quasi-experimental research was applied and the instruments were pretest-posttest. The independent variable of this study was VSS, while the dependents were reading skill and vocabulary mastery. To collect the data, pretest-posttest was assigned. The test for both reading skill and vocabulary mastery were validated through expert judgment and content validity. Moreover, the reliability of the instruments was measured using inter-rater reliability. The data were analyzed using parametric statistical technique of T-Test and MANOVA test using SPSS 22. Computer program. The findings of this study reveal that VSS had a significant effect toward students’ reading skill and vocabulary mastery. It was indicated by the significant value of T-Test for each reading skill and vocabulary mastery which were lower than 0.05. VSS and Lecturing-practice Strategy had different capability in influencing students’ reading skill and vocabulary mastery scores simultaneously. Also, it was indicated by the significant value of Pillar’s trace, Wilka’s Lambda, Hotellings Trace and Roy’s Largest Root tests are 0.004 which was lower than 0.05. Therefore, all of the hypothesis are accepted.

Breastfeeding is very important in Growth and development of children both physically and mentally optimally and improve children's intelligence, and prevent children from diseases such as diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition which are common causes of death in children under 5 years. In breastfeeding, many factors influence, one of which is giving with loving touch baby massage. Giving with loving touch baby massage is expected to affect the frequency of breastfeeding and can increase the closeness of the child to the parents (Bonding). This research is a quasi-experimental research, namely research that aims to determine the effect that will arise after being given treatment, namely baby massage. The population in this study were 30 children under five in Domas Village, Gresik Regency. The independent variable in this study was loving touch baby massage, the dependent variable was the frequency of breastfeeding. The statistical test used was the Paired Sample T-Test. The results of this study can be concluded that there is an effect of baby massage on the frequency of breastfeeding and has a frequency of breastfeeding 7 times - 10 times / day greater than babies who are not done loving touch baby massage.

The objective of this study is to measure whether there is or not significant effect of teaching reading by utilizing Hot Potatoes software toward students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text. The variables used were the teaching treatment of Hot Potatoes Software as the independent variable and the students’ reading comprehension of Descriptive Text as dependent variable. Then, the research designed was Quasi-experimental design and the presentation of data used was quantitative. The data were obtained from the eleventh grade, of which 28 students were taken as sample. The students are divided into two groups; experiment group consisted of 12 students and control group consists of 16 students. To get the data, the pre-test and post-test were applied and then analyzed using t-test formula. The researcher had concluded that there is Significant effect of Hot Potatoes Software toward the students’ reading comprehension achievement. The result showed that mean of students’ post-test was increased. It is proved by the t-test (8.54) which is higher than t-table (2.05) at level of significance 5%. It means that the alternative hypothesis was accepted and it proved that Hot Potatoes Software had significant effect toward students’ reading comprehension of Descriptive Text

This research is entitled “Using graphic organizer strategy in teaching writing on narrative paragraph (experimental research). Writing is a very important subject that should be learned by English learners. The students should be able to express their ideas and opinion either in the form of a sentence or paragraph. However, the researcher found that many students at the Second Grade Students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Luas could not express their ideas and develop into the paragraph. Hence, the appropriate strategy of teaching and learning is very important to help students master writing skills. This research aims to know the effect of achievement between the students who are taught writing by using graphic organizers from those taught writing in the narrative by using traditional methods. This research was experimental research and used a quasi-experimental design. The samples chosen in this research were the whole students of class VIII2 and VIII4 of SMPN 1 Tanah Luas. Class VIII2 consisted of 25 students was chosen as experimental group and class VIII4 consisted of 24 students was chosen as control group. This research was conducted in three phrases; there were pre-test, treatments and post-test. The data collection technique used in this research was test. The tests were pre-test and post-test. The researcher gave pre-test before giving treatment and post-test after giving treatment. The treatment was conducted in three meetings. The data was analyzed by using t-test formula. The research result and the hypothesis authentication found by using t-test formula in significant level 5% or α = 0.05 were obtained that ttest > ttable. The ttest found in this research was 3.91. Meanwhile, ttable was gotten from the list of distribution value with degree of freedom = 47, because the data not in the table, the researcher used interpolation approach and obtained = 1.67. So >  = 3.91 > 1.67. It meant that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. So, graphic organizer strategy significantly affects the students’ ability in mastering writing.   Kata Kunci: graphic organizer strategy, teaching and learning, writing narrative paragraph

Some problems are faced by students in reading of English text. The interesting strategy is needed to teach them. Story Pyramid Strategyis one of strategies to teach reading comprehension. This strategy forces students to review and summarize the main points of a story. The research aimed at knowing the effectiveness of using story pyramid strategy in teaching  narrative text toward students’ reading comprehension was conducted in SMAN 1 Serang. The research design of this reseacrh was quasi experimental research with quantitative approach. The  research  finding  showed  that  Story Pyramid  Strategy  is  effective in  teaching  narrative  text  toward  students’ reading comprehension to Senior High School.

<p><strong>Pendahuluan : </strong>Neuroanatomi merupakan ilmu penting bagi kedokteran, namun<strong> </strong>masih ditemukan mahasiswa kedokteran yang merasa kesulitan memahami pembelajaran neuroanatomi. Salah satu faktor yang berperan penting adalah media pembelajaran anatomi. Kadaver merupakan media pembelajaran anatomi tradisional yang masih digunakan hingga saat ini dengan berbagai kekurangan dan kelebihan  yang dimilikinya. Sedangkan media video merupakan media pembelajaran anatomi yang diniliai lebih praktis dan sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman, sehingga di nilai bisa sebagai media alternatif selain kadaver. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran anatomi menggunakan kadaver dibandingkan video terhadap pemahaman neuroanatomi mahasiswa kedokteran.</p><p><strong>Metode : </strong>Jenis penelitian ini ialah Quasi Experimental Research dengan Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program studi kedokteran UNS tahun 2019. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 42 oranag. Data kemudian diolah dengan uji Paired Sample T-Test dan Independent T-test menggunakan program SPSS 22.</p><p><strong>Hasil : </strong>Hasil Paired Sample T-Test kelompok kadaver dan video menunjukan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) &lt; 0,05 yaitu 0,000. Sehingga media kadaver maupun video dinilai efektif terhadap pemahaman neuroanatomi mahasiswa. Hasil uji Independent T-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara efektivitas media pembelajaran anatomi menggunakan kadaver dibandingkan video terhadap pemahaman neuroanatomi mahasiswa kedokteran memperlihatkan nilai p = 0,730, sehingga menunjukkan hasil yang tidak signifikan karena p 0,05 pada taraf signifikan 5%.</p><p><strong>Kes</strong><strong>impulan : </strong>Media pembelajaran anatomi kadaver maupun video terbukti efektif meningkatkan pemahaman neuroanatomi pada mahasiswa kedokteran. Selain itu, media pembelajaran anatomi kadaver dibandingkan video memiliki efektivitas yang sama terhadap pemahaman neuroanatomi pada mahasiswa kedokteran</p><p><strong>Kata kunci : Kadaver; Video Anatomi; Pemahaman Neuroanatomi</strong></p>

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pertumbuhan Sargassum sp.yang dibudidaya dengan sistem budidaya yang berbeda di Teluk Ekas Lombok Timur. Jenispenelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen.. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah tanamanSargassum sp yang dibudidayakan dengan sistem budidaya yang berbeda yaitu : rakitterapung dan rakit patok dasar. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan paketprogram komputer pengolahan data yaitu SPSS 16. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan denganmenggunakan uji-t polled varians, dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 dan taraf kepercayaan 95 %,diperoleh t-hitung 11,974 > t-tabel 1,987, atau berdasarkan besarnya nilai probabilitas yangditunjukan, diperoleh probabilitas-hitung 0,00 < probabilitas-tabel 0,05, sehingga Ho ditolakdan Ha diterima, ini artinya terdapat perbedaan pertumbuhan Sargassum sp. yang dibudidayadengan sistem budidaya yang berbeda.Kata-kata kunci: Sargassum sp., Teluk Ekas, Sistem budidaya yang berbeda.ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to determine growth differences of Sargassum sp., werecultured with different cultivation systems in the Ekas Bay of East Lombok. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan Pendekatan Saintifik, mendeskripsikan keefektifan Pendekatan PMRI, dan mendeskripsikan manakah yang lebih efektif diantara Saintifik dan PMRI ditinjau dari prestasi, minat, dan percaya diri. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Babadan Ponorogo Jawa Timur Indonesia dan secara acak terpilih kelas VIIB dan VIIC sebagai sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes dan non-tes, dengan instrumen meliputi soal tes prestasi, angket minat dan percaya diri. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dan Hotelling’s Trace. Hasil penelitian pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa Pendekatan Saintifik efektif ditinjau dari prestasi, minat, dan percaya diri. Pendekatan PMRI efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan percaya diri, tetapi tidak efektif ditinjau dari minat. Saintifik dan PMRI sama-sama efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan percaya diri, akan tetapi ditinjau dari minat Saintifik lebih unggul daripada PMRI.Kata kunci: pendekatan Saintifik, pendekatan PMRI, prestasi, minat, percaya diri The Comparison of the Effectiveness of Scientific and PMRI Approaches Based on the Achievement, Interest, and Self-Confidence of Students of Grade VII AbstractThis quasi-experimental research aims to describe the effectiveness of Scientific Approach, describe the effectiveness of PMRI approach, and describe which is more effective between of Scientific and PMRI Approaches in terms of the achievement, interest, and self-confidence. The population in this research were students of class VII SMPN 2 Babadan Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia, and randomly selected VIIB and VIIC classes as a sample. The data collection techniques were a test and non-test, the instrument covers about mathematics achievement tests, questionnaires for students’ interest and self-confidence. The data were analysed using the t test and the Hotelling's Trace test. The results show that at the significance level of 0.05 the Scientific Approach is effective in terms of students’ achievement, interest, and self-confidence, while the PMRI Approach is effective in terms of learning achievement and self-confidence, but it is not effective in terms of interest. The Scientific and PMRI Approaches are equally effective in terms of learning achievement and self-confidence, but in terms of interest the Scientific Approach is superior to the PMRI Approach.Keywords: Scientific Approach, PMRI Approach, mathematics achievement, interest, self-confidence

<p class="JKKAbstrakBodyIndo">The problem for pregnant women is iron anemia. The natural material that contains iron is honey. The study aims to determine the difference in hemoglobin levels in pregnant anemic who are supplemented Fe tablets and honey. Quasi-experimental research with nonrandomized pretest and posttest with control group design. Samples amounted to 30 people with purposive sampling technique. Analysis using paired t-test and independent sample t-test. The hemoglobin levels of anemic pregnant given Fe tablets only increased by 0,31gr/dl (3,21%), while those given Fe tablets and honey increased 1,06gr/dl (12,20%). Combination Fe tablets and honey can be an alternative for increasing hemoglobin in anemic pregnant.</p><p> </p>

<p class="Abstrak"><strong>Abstract:</strong> This research aim is to know the effect of ecopedagogy model on aspect of ecological competence high school students. This study was quasi-experimental research with the Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group. The research subjects consisted of two classes namely XI IIS II as the experimental class and XI IIS I as the control class. This study was conducted at MAN 1 Sintang. The data analysis used independent sample t-test which showed that the ecopedagogy model had an effect on ecological competence students. From the results of the posttest, it can be seen that the experimental class has higher value rather than the control class.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model <em>ecopedagogy</em> terhadap aspek kompetensi ekologis siswa SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen semu dengan <em>Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group</em>. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu XI IIS II sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IIS I sebagai kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MAN 1 Sintang. Analisis data menggunakan uji <em>independent sample t-test</em><em> </em>yang<em> </em>menunjukkan bahwa model <em>ecopedagogy</em> berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi ekologis siswa SMA. Dari hasil <em>posttest </em>kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol.
