This research aimed to prove the effectiveness of using animation movie in improving speaking ability of elementary students. The research was conducted in one class of the fourth grade with twenty-nine students and the selected samples were taken by random sampling. The data collection used an oral test as it is an experimental research by using T-test at 0.05 significance level. The results showed that the score of t-observation (to) was 9.43. Moreover, on the 0.05 significance level and with df n-1=28 the score of t-table (tt) was 1.70. It appears to  > tt  (9.43 > 1.70). It can be concluded that using animation movie in teaching speaking was effective for the elementary students. Benefits of the research result were by using animation movie the students could be more confident to speak with others because animation movies had interesting content that made the students interested to retell the animation movie with their own sentences. Therefore, they could be easier to make their own visualization with the movies which they had watched. However, it would be better if a language teacher gives many chances to practice in the classroom along with interesting media.

Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan Pendekatan Saintifik, mendeskripsikan keefektifan Pendekatan PMRI, dan mendeskripsikan manakah yang lebih efektif diantara Saintifik dan PMRI ditinjau dari prestasi, minat, dan percaya diri. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Babadan Ponorogo Jawa Timur Indonesia dan secara acak terpilih kelas VIIB dan VIIC sebagai sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes dan non-tes, dengan instrumen meliputi soal tes prestasi, angket minat dan percaya diri. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t dan Hotelling’s Trace. Hasil penelitian pada taraf signifikansi 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa Pendekatan Saintifik efektif ditinjau dari prestasi, minat, dan percaya diri. Pendekatan PMRI efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan percaya diri, tetapi tidak efektif ditinjau dari minat. Saintifik dan PMRI sama-sama efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan percaya diri, akan tetapi ditinjau dari minat Saintifik lebih unggul daripada PMRI.Kata kunci: pendekatan Saintifik, pendekatan PMRI, prestasi, minat, percaya diri The Comparison of the Effectiveness of Scientific and PMRI Approaches Based on the Achievement, Interest, and Self-Confidence of Students of Grade VII AbstractThis quasi-experimental research aims to describe the effectiveness of Scientific Approach, describe the effectiveness of PMRI approach, and describe which is more effective between of Scientific and PMRI Approaches in terms of the achievement, interest, and self-confidence. The population in this research were students of class VII SMPN 2 Babadan Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia, and randomly selected VIIB and VIIC classes as a sample. The data collection techniques were a test and non-test, the instrument covers about mathematics achievement tests, questionnaires for students’ interest and self-confidence. The data were analysed using the t test and the Hotelling's Trace test. The results show that at the significance level of 0.05 the Scientific Approach is effective in terms of students’ achievement, interest, and self-confidence, while the PMRI Approach is effective in terms of learning achievement and self-confidence, but it is not effective in terms of interest. The Scientific and PMRI Approaches are equally effective in terms of learning achievement and self-confidence, but in terms of interest the Scientific Approach is superior to the PMRI Approach.Keywords: Scientific Approach, PMRI Approach, mathematics achievement, interest, self-confidence

This study searched for empirical evidence of which instructional method, either Presentation-Practice-Production (PPP) or Task-based Learning (TBL), was more effective in teaching speaking to real beginners of young learners. The selected samples were taken by non-random sampling from Foundation II level with ten students for each class. This study, whose data was collected through an oral test, was an experimental research by using T-test at 0.05 significance level. The findings revealed that t-computation was higher than t-table (+2,11 > +2,10). It implied that the mean of PPP class was significantly higher than TBL class. The findings above led to a conclusion that the use of PPP was more effective than TBL in teaching speaking to young learners. It was also discovered that drilling activities, which occurred intensively in PPP, yet not in TBL, gave a great contribution in supporting the effectiveness of PPP in teaching speaking. Drillings were beneficial and met the characteristics of the students who belonged to the population of this study. Therefore, PPP, rather than TBL, was more recommended in teaching speaking to real beginners of young learners whose characteristics met the ones mentioned in the discussion below. However, since drillings can be very mechanical and meaningless, in order not to cause boredom, the length of time allocated for the activities should be considered carefully. Moreover, for an optimum result, drillings must always be accompanied by communicative activities.

This research aims to know the STEAM ability of students based on Archaebacteria and Eubacteria based on gender in SMAN 2 Percut Sei Tuan, to find out students' views on learning Archaebacteria and Eubacteria material with a scientific approach. The descriptive method in the study used a population of all students of class X Natural Sciences. The sample consisted of 50 male students and 50 female students by random sampling. Data collection using questionnaires and 10 essay questions. Data were analyzed using percentage techniques and differences in gender ability were performed t-test at a significance level of 5% aided by SPSS 24.0. The results showed the science ability of female students (78.67%)> male students (47.07%), th> tt, p 0.05. The ability of technology in female students (61.33%)> male students (47.00%), -th> -tt p 0.05. Engineering ability of female students (64.29%)> male students (50.00%), th> tt, p 0.05. Arts ability of female students (72.40%)> male students (65.00%), th> tt, p 0.05. Mathematical ability of female students (65.75%)> male students (56.25%), th> tt, p 0.05. There are differences in the STEAM ability of students, female students (70.60%) while male students (53.00%), -th> -tt, p 0.05. The views of female students are more positive than male students in learning Archaebacteria and Eubacteria material with a scientific approach.

This research is entitled “Using graphic organizer strategy in teaching writing on narrative paragraph (experimental research). Writing is a very important subject that should be learned by English learners. The students should be able to express their ideas and opinion either in the form of a sentence or paragraph. However, the researcher found that many students at the Second Grade Students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Luas could not express their ideas and develop into the paragraph. Hence, the appropriate strategy of teaching and learning is very important to help students master writing skills. This research aims to know the effect of achievement between the students who are taught writing by using graphic organizers from those taught writing in the narrative by using traditional methods. This research was experimental research and used a quasi-experimental design. The samples chosen in this research were the whole students of class VIII2 and VIII4 of SMPN 1 Tanah Luas. Class VIII2 consisted of 25 students was chosen as experimental group and class VIII4 consisted of 24 students was chosen as control group. This research was conducted in three phrases; there were pre-test, treatments and post-test. The data collection technique used in this research was test. The tests were pre-test and post-test. The researcher gave pre-test before giving treatment and post-test after giving treatment. The treatment was conducted in three meetings. The data was analyzed by using t-test formula. The research result and the hypothesis authentication found by using t-test formula in significant level 5% or α = 0.05 were obtained that ttest > ttable. The ttest found in this research was 3.91. Meanwhile, ttable was gotten from the list of distribution value with degree of freedom = 47, because the data not in the table, the researcher used interpolation approach and obtained = 1.67. So >  = 3.91 > 1.67. It meant that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. So, graphic organizer strategy significantly affects the students’ ability in mastering writing.   Kata Kunci: graphic organizer strategy, teaching and learning, writing narrative paragraph

The objective of the study was to find out whether or not the silent way method can significantly affect students’ speaking competence. The design of this study was a pre-experimental research design (one group pre-test post-test design). The researcher applied a simple random sampling technique. The class 10 IPA1 was taken as the sample of the study with 18 students. The instrument of this study was an oral test in pre-test and post-test. This research was conducted through the following procedures: giving a pre-test, applying treatments and giving a post-test. The data were analyzed by using paired sample t-test. Through the SPSS16.0 version. The result showed that the mean score on students’ speaking competence in a pre-test was 32.22 and in the post-test was 49.44. Hypothesis testing found that the value of sig (2 tailed) was 0.00 while the significant alpha value was 0.0. It could be concluded that the value of sig (2 tailed) was lower than the significant alpha value was (0.00<0.05). Therefore, H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. So, the use of the silent way method had a significant on the students’ speaking competence at the tenth grade of SMAN 1 Kontu kowuna.

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pertumbuhan Sargassum sp.yang dibudidaya dengan sistem budidaya yang berbeda di Teluk Ekas Lombok Timur. Jenispenelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen.. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah tanamanSargassum sp yang dibudidayakan dengan sistem budidaya yang berbeda yaitu : rakitterapung dan rakit patok dasar. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan paketprogram komputer pengolahan data yaitu SPSS 16. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan denganmenggunakan uji-t polled varians, dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 dan taraf kepercayaan 95 %,diperoleh t-hitung 11,974 > t-tabel 1,987, atau berdasarkan besarnya nilai probabilitas yangditunjukan, diperoleh probabilitas-hitung 0,00 < probabilitas-tabel 0,05, sehingga Ho ditolakdan Ha diterima, ini artinya terdapat perbedaan pertumbuhan Sargassum sp. yang dibudidayadengan sistem budidaya yang berbeda.Kata-kata kunci: Sargassum sp., Teluk Ekas, Sistem budidaya yang berbeda.ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to determine growth differences of Sargassum sp., werecultured with different cultivation systems in the Ekas Bay of East Lombok. This research isan experimental research. The sample in this research is Sargassum sp. of cultivated cropswith different cultivation systems, such as : floating raft and raft basic stakes. Processing datewas performed by using a processing date computer program package SPSS 16. Hypothesistesting is done by using t-test polled variance, with a significance level of 0.05 and a level ofvalid 95 %, in order to obtain t count 11.974 > t - table 1,987, or based on the value of theindicated probability, probability-count obtained 0.00 < 0.05 probability- table , so that Ho isrejected and Ha accepted , this means that there are differences in the growth of Sargassumsp. were cultured with different cultivation systems.Key words: Sargassum sp., Ekas bay, Different Cultivation System.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan kombinasi footwork terhadap peningkatan kelincahan dan VO2 Maks. Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian eksperimen, dengan desain “The Non Randomized Pretest Posttest Design Control Group” Subjek penelitian adalah siswa putra SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Singaraja tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 berjumlah 30 orang siswa. VO2 Maks diukur dengan tes MFT dan kelincahan diukur dengan ilionis agility run. Data dianalisis dengan uji t independent pada taraf signifikansi αKata Kunci : kelincahan, pelatihan kombinasi footwork, VO2 Maks. This study was aimed to investigate the effect of footwork combination training on improving agility and VO2 Max. This research was an experimental research, with the design "The Non Randomized Pretest Posttest Design Control Group". The subjects were the students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Singaraja of academic year 2017/2018 as many as 30 students. VO2 Max was measured by MFT test and agility was measured by the illionis agility run. This research aims to find out and analyze the effect of brand image and word of mouth, either simultaneously or partially on the decision of purchasing Yamaha motorcycle in Bungku Tengah of Morowali Regency. This was a descriptive research with population of consumers of yamaha motorcycle in Bungku Tengah of Morowali Regency. Sample used was random sampling, in which 91 people selected as the sample. Data collection was questionnaire and it was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis.The research result reveals that significant probability value of brand image variable (0.002) < (0.05) so the brand image variable has a significant effect on the decision of purchasing, significant probability value of word of mouth (0.087) > (0.05) so the word of mouth variable has no effect on the decision of purchasing. It means the brand image variable partially has a significant effect on decision of purchasing; however, word of mouth variable partially has no effect on kdecision of purchasing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisi pengaruh citra merek dan word of mouth, baik secara simultan maupun parsial terhadap keputusan pembelian sepeda Motor Yamaha di Bungku Tengah Kabupaten Morowali Kecamatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, Populasi penelitian ini adalah konsumen pengguna Motor Yamaha di Bungku Tengah Kabupaten Morowali. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Random Sampling, dan dengan tehnik tersebut 91 orang sebagai sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data yang di gunakan adalah angket, dan Teknik analisis data yang di gunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, angka probabilitas signifikan variabel Citra Merek (0,002) < (0,05) sehingga variabel Citra Merek memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian, angka probabilitas signifikan variabel Word of Mouth (0,087) > (0,05) sehingga variabel Word of Mouth tidak mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian. Artinya variabel Citra Merek secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian, namun variabel Word of Mouth secara parsial berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian.

The purpose of this study was to improve students' learning discipline at MTs Miftahul Jannah Palangka Raya by using group guidance services. The population in this study amounted to 32 students. The number of research samples consisted of 8 students. Sampling is determined by Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and the scale of learning discipline. The method used is pre-experiment, the technique of collecting data using the Paired-Sample T Test formula or better known as Pre-Post Design is an analysis involving two measurements on the same subject against a particular influence or treatment. The results of the study show that: based on analysis with Paired-Sample T-Test, it shows that students' learning discipline has an initial average increase of 130.13 to 234.13. This means "Group Guidance Services Can Improve Learning Discipline of Students at MTs Miftahul Jannah Palangka Raya 2016/2017 Academic Year". The results of the analysis show that the eight students in the research subject experienced an increase in learning discipline after the intervention.

The purpose of this study is to find  how much the influence storytelling method for speaking skills of elementary school  01 Waru Sidoarjo inter class. The kind of the study use quantitative  of kind pre-experimental with one grup desain of pretest-posttest. the sampling technique in this study  use  purposive sampling technique with certain considerations, which use all members of the population as a sample of 25 students inter A class. the  data collection methods  are descriptive statistic and analysis prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing. The results of students analysis are speaking skills before using the storytelling method is in the medium category. Furthermore, the T test was compare with a 5% significance level of 1.7081.  Then it can be concluded that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. While the calculation of the level influence obtained 0,91 results which means that there is a large influence in the study, because eta square is 0,91 > 0,41. These results illustrate that the speaking skills of students in class 3 are influenced by using the storytelling method in grade 3 elementary school at Bangah 01 Waru Sidoarjo.
