Each agency requires a protocol in every event or activity, especially because it involves respect and appreciation for each individual actor or entity involved in an activity. Padjadjaran University as a State University Legal Entity is full of activities and / or activities that are official in nature and are attended by high-ranking government officials and other officials / leaders, both leaders of fellow universities within and / or abroad and non-tertiary institutions which of course has a relationship with Universitas Padjadjaran in an official event. The protocol team routinely carries out preparatory / planning activities and coordinates with various relevant directorates at each event, but obstacles still occur outside the plan. This study was conducted to determine the lack of a protocoler's role in carrying out graduation ceremonies that are carried out routinely as evaluation material. The method used is descriptive statistics using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The instrument design is divided into 4 groups of questions related to protocols, namely Protocol Attitude, Layout, Honor, and Ceremony. The survey results from the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive and comparative analysis resulting in a number of shortcomings in the Ceremonial Procedure that could be seen from the results of respondents' responses which tended to be negative. Therefore, efforts must be made to increase some of the activities in the implementation of the Ceremony at the Graduation Ceremony of the University of Padjadjaran.  Keywords: Protocol Communication, Graduation Ceremony, Universitas Padjadjaran

We compare two types of models used to predict the spread of the coronavirus, both of which have been used by government officials and agencies. We describe the nature of the difference between the two approaches and their advantages and limitations. We compare examples of each type of model—the University of Washington IHME or “Murray” model, which follows a curve-fitting approach, and the Ohio State University model, which follows a structural approach.

For the first time, the article provides information about the features of the plant community of the cemeterial territories of Volgograd and the village of Arzgir of Stavropol Territory. The inventory of plants was carried out by the route method. Each route was about 10 km. For the first time, such cemetery territories were studied: the cemetery of the village of Gornaya Polyana and the Kirov cemetery in Volgograd, cemeteries No. 1 and No. 2. in the village of Arzgir of Stavropol Territory. The identification of samples was carried out by standard methods in the Laboratory of Experimental Biology of Volgograd State University (VolSU). The collected species are stored in the Botanical Herbarium of the University. The article presents an annotated list of cemeteria plants, including 44 species, indicating data on habitats and the date of collection. This annotated list will be the basis for conducting monitoring studies in the field of environmental protection, as well as optimizing the regional network of protected areas. A comparative analysis of the flora of the studied territories was carried out, according to which a slight difference was revealed. This difference is explained by the fact that the cemeterial territories of Volgograd is located inside the largest urbanized city, unlike the small village of Arzgir, and the species composition of plants in these two territories depends on the person because most of the species are cultivated. The data obtained as a result of the study will be used to develop questions of systematics, geography and ecology of plants. The revealed diversity of plants in the studied regions expands our knowledge about the ecology and distribution of species, allows us to systematize and generalize the available information, and also makes it possible to predict further botanical finds.

Abstract:In many parts of Africa, university systems are in crisis; squalid conditions, student strife, and increasing state violence have turned many campuses into battlegrounds. Through an in-depth look at the Kenyan case, this paper examines some of the deep political dynamics of the current desperate situation. We demonstrate how in Kenya, state–university links involve attempts by higher-level government officials to control campuses through patronage, surveillance, and violence and how institutional configurations facilitate this. As the burden of repression falls on student activists who challenge current power configurations, we examine the current crisis through a student lens. By presenting and analyzing the historical narrative of student activism on campus, we show the inadequacy of overly structural, economic approaches to the crisis favored by the World Bank and some of its critics. Instead, we show the critical importance of understanding how the university crisis is organically linked to wider political processes, including local struggle over democratization of the state and economy.

Parafunctional habits are characterized by the repetition of acts that are not related to the normal functions of the stomatognathic system. This research aims to verify the parafunctional habits practiced, perceived and reported by patients and to verify the relationship with the fractures of direct composite resin restorations. Information from 205 patients, seen at the University Dental Clinic of the State University of Londrina, was collected. After data collection, a survey and synthesis of reported parafunctional habits was performed and correlated with the fracture of composite resin restorations. The information and data were tabulated and analyzed using descriptive statistics, COUNTIF function, and the results were expressed in tables. The most frequent parafunctional habits were bruxism, followed by onychophagia, occurring in greater quantity in females. A greater number of fractured restorations were found in patients with parafunctional habits. Among the parafunctional habits verified, it was concluded that bruxism was the most frequent, related mainly to the fracture of class V restorations.

The article highlights the problem of gradual professional training of future coaches in the field of fitness, recreational physical culture, studying at the State University of Physical Education and Sports. The main aspects of such training are the formation and improvement of a complex of personal and professional qualities. In this regard, a sociological survey of students of the first cycle of study (1-3 courses) in the specialty «Fitness and recreational programs» was organized. For this, questionnaires were developed, the questions of which were conditionally divided into 3 categories: the first – determines the knowledge of preparation for the profession and activities of a fitness trainer; the second – studies the aspirations to acquire new skills, knowledge and skills of a fitness trainer; the third – reveals the professional qualities and abilities of a fitness trainer. The analysis of the survey results revealed that all the interviewed students are confident in the correct choice of their profession. In the learning process, there is a gradual, staged, growth of the level of professional training, including the formation of professional and personal qualities, as well as professional and motor abilities. At the same time, it can be noted that all the students participating in the survey, to one degree or another, are engaged in self-improvement, attending various events aimed at improving the level of their preparedness for the activity of a fitness trainer. This allowed a larger number of students (67%) to get a job in fitness clubs by the third year. In addition, it turned out that all the students who participated in the survey were involved in some kind of sport. Many of them work as trainers in fitness clubs without changing their direction in sports. Thus, one can observe the phased dynamics of the formation of a specialist, fitness trainer, from the first year of study at the university to the third.

Presented is developing of an algorithm for using information and computer technologies in the research work of the psychological service of universities in order to quickly respond and resolve the occurrence of conflict, psychological and other unstable situations between interacting internal and external audiences of the university. The relevance of the issue is emphasized by the author's research and the low efficiency of the psychological service with students and teachers of the university, which was revealed on the basis of numerous surveys of all test groups during 2020–2021. The study was conducted using a Google questionnaire, a representative sample — general contacts in social networks and messengers, as well as direct mail. The Google-form automatically summarized and structured the survey results after receiving the responses. The results are used to identify the key vector of constructing the algorithm of the psychological service of the Don State Technical University with the intensification of the use and deep penetration of information and computer technologies in this process. It is confirmed that the surveys of students and teachers of the university with the help of internal network resources or printed questionnaires, currently conducted by universities — are not the whole algorithm of those technologies that are available and acceptable for providing timely and professional psychological support to all representatives of the university conglomerate. The results of the study were discussed collectively at the Don State University and other universities in Rostov-on-Don online, on the platform “Boiling Point” in May 2021.
