Abstract:Enrique Dussel’s starting point is the victim, the oppressed. Especially from his concept of exteriority, understood as being the space where the other reveals itself, where it remains free in its distinct being. The Externality, precisely, is considered by the Philosophy of Liberation as the main category of the Marxian legacy. It is the fundamental theoretical presupposition, which makes Dussel's speech possible, mainly in the radical choice for the victim, the hallmark of his philosophical thought. Hereby the assumption is made that there is in Dussel a partiality for the victim: his thought is purposely constructed in favour of the victim. The effort of this work is to show that the option for the victim will be the guiding thread of all his thinking, which demands from the Philosophy of Liberation a critical pretension of thought. Thus, causing the philosophical work to be challenged and provoked by the real need to help the victim, the demand of the Latin American people in their way of liberation. In addition to the current importance of Marxian thought for the understanding of reality and the critique of capitalism, the theoreticalpractical relevance of Dusselian thought for Political Philosophy as a whole is emphasized by its contributions in the contemporary scenario, by the courage to point towards another society, trans-modern and transcapitalist, already under way in the collective practices of Well Living. Keywords: Philosophy. Enrique Dussel is one of the most prominent Latin American thinkers and a founding father of the Philosophy of Liberation. Dussel is known for his long political engagement in Latin American Politics and for his harsh critique of Western hegemony on the global stage – both the political and the philosophical. In this interview with Dussel these themes are discussed as well as some of Dussel’s own notions, such as pluriversality and transmodernity.

The influence of Pedro Luis Escrivá in the American colonial defense systemThe architect and military engineer Pedro Luis Escrivá (1490 ca. - sixteenth century), at the service of Charles V of Habsburg and the Viceroyal Court of Naples, built two bastioned fortifications designed to considerably influence the subject of territorial defense structures: The quadrangular Spanish Fort of L'Aquila (1534-1567) and the reconstruction of the Sant’Elmo Castle in Naples (1537), with an elongated six-pointed stellar plan, served as a reference point for the European and American fortifications of the period. Due to its size and versatility, the model adopted in L’Aquila was widely used in the Latin American context between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. It is found in countries that were Hispanic colonies such as Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina and Uruguay; as well as in the Hispanic domains of the United States and in some of the dependent territories of the Portuguese crown, in Brazil. Based on a historical-architectural and contextual analysis of these structures, the effects of the “cultural transfer” between Europe and America will be investigated with respect to the model devised by Escrivá to promote its cultural valorization.

This text belongs to the field of Latin American studies and, more specifically, affirm the Philosophy of Liberation as its ethical fundament. It affirms the adoption of an anti-management attitude because the distinction between Northern/Southern management is irrelevant for the victims. Quijano’s coloniality of power and Dussel’s transmodernity  are introduced because they open possibilities for a politicized discussion that goes beyond culturalism and indicate the need of transcending the globalized power of capitalist power as an indispensable condition for the liberation of the victims of this system of power. Follows a critical appraisal of postcolonial studies and a brief overview of its presence in the field of MOS. Finally, the argument for the need of an anti-management perspective is presented.

Abstract Background and Aims Patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD) exposed to renal replacement therapy (RRT) have many consequences, both physical and psychological. Dialysis patient rehabilitation is a way to improve the well-being and quality of life of users, but it is an area that has not been commonly explored and where there is much to know. The participation of the Physiotherapist in the rehabilitation of these patients has increased mainly in the last period. The present study aims to carry out an analysis of how the scientific field has behaved in relation to rehabilitation in patients undergoing dialysis, exploring the existing bases for new studies and knowing how it has varied between the years 1996 to 2020. Method The present study is a bibliometric analysis. Through this type of study, it is possible to analyze the scientific production and how is the activity on some subject. It allows, among others, the development of research topics that are little studied, in addition to evaluating the countries, institutions and authors in a certain period. A search for scientific articles was carried out using the web of science (WOS) page, obtaining 236 articles. The search key was TS = (“rehabilitation”) AND TS = (physical exercise or haemodialysis or renal dialysis or peritoneal dialysis) AND TS = (hemodialysis) NOT TS = (fistula). In the same WOS platform, a filter was carried out where only articles, reviews and conference articles were included, excluding editorial material, book chapters and early accesses, articles that are in the range of years between 1990 and 1995 were also excluded. These years were chosen because it was observed that from 1996 an increase in the trend on the subject under study can be observed. With this filtration the articles decrease to 191 results. The Scimat and Bibliometrix biblioshiny softwares were used for their analysis. Results A total of 191 records were compiled among which we have been able to identify different bibliometric indicators that allow us to know the scientific performance and how it has behaved over the years. Figure 1 shows a descriptive graph obtained from biblioshiny bibliometrix where it was shown the annual scientific production of the documents, with dates that fluctuate between 1996 and 2020. It is observed that the scientific production on this issue of rehabilitation in dialysis patients through the years has been developing exponentially since 1996. However, there are years in which production decreased significantly. It was also found the authors who have published the most, the journals and their categorizations, and the network of collaborations that exist between authors from different countries, being the United States the pioneer country in scientific production. Finally, emerging studies on the subject were found. Conclusion In this study we have addressed different points to show and publicize the issue of rehabilitation in dialysis patients, with its greatest contributors in recent years. We can say that many studies are still missing to be able to have a solid base in the rehabilitation of these patients, who are increasing more every day in the world population. Although, we have compiled a significant number of studies, it is probably not all of them, studies that complement the information are needed with other search engines. This study can serve as a starting point for future research, which is necessary in the field of dialysis, although the production rate has increased over the years it is still quite low, it is important that new authors appear who can work among them to advance and thus obtain knowledge that allows us to help and benefit patients around the world. In addition, we have considered it very important to mention and suggest so that Latin American countries can become more interested in this topic, since they are part of the countries that produce the least, however, their population on dialysis increases progressively over the years.

This paper analyses some relevant political and social factors that give an account of the interest in relational conceptions of the individual and society, such as those expressed in the philosophy of liberation, Andean philosophy, decolonial thought and other theoretical perspectives that show a Latin American matrix. In contrast to the conception of the subject as an entrepreneur of himself who interacts with others in terms of competition, a renewed interest in studying and using theoretical approaches that privilege a conception of the subject and subjectivity as a construction derived from the primacy of the relation over the substance, understood as a founding category of reality, is becoming relevant in Latin American in general and, particularly, in Argentina. Although this process is consistent with similar tendencies in other parts of the world, it has distinctive characteristics in Latin America because, among other reasons, the agenda of the Chicago School was first introduced and implemented in the southern countries of the region.

This paper focuses on an analysis of the ethical concepts of two of the founders of Latin American philosophy, Carlos Vaz Ferreira and his moral philosophy and Alejandro Korn and his philosophy of freedom, and a contemporary thinker, Enrique Dussel. At the heart of this analysis is the Philosophy of Liberation developed by Leopoldo Zea, Arturo Roig and Dussel, among others. I explicate Dussel's ethics of liberation and its philosophical grounds from his recent writings on the problematic of the foundation of ethics, and go on to discuss the architectonic of the ethics of liberation and the foundation of ethical principles. The analysis involves issues of truth and validity, and the application of principles. Dussel's theory is assessed in comparison with the discourse ethics of Karl-Otto Apel and Jürgen Habermas.
