Instrumen evaluasi diagnostik multi–tier yang telah dikembangkan oleh peserta kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat diharapkan dapat menguatkan kompetensi profesional guru Kimia Implementation of learning evaluation is one of the teacher's professional competence that is important to survey students' quality of learning outcomes. The evaluation in chemistry subject needs to be done detailly in determining how students understand the concepts. One of the learning evaluation instruments that can be used is multi-tier diagnostic. Several studies in Indonesia reported that teachers experience difficulties developing evaluation instruments based on multi-tier diagnostic. The following community service activities aimed to help teachers become skilled in developing multi-tier diagnostic evaluation instruments. Participants in the activity were all chemistry teachers from the MGMP (Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran) of Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan. The activity was carried out twice online. Methods of activity included: (1) Delivering material by the speakers; (2) Discussions between speakers and participants; (3) Assigning participants; and (4) Evaluating the assignment's result. There was expected that the multi-tier diagnostic evaluation instruments developed by participants of community service could strengthen their professional competence.

The use of digital multiple-choice tests in formative and summative assessment has many advantages. Such tests are effective, objective, and flexible. However, it is still challenging to create tests that are valid and reliable. Bloom’s taxonomy is used as a framework for assessment in higher education and therefore has a great deal of influence on how the learning outcomes are formulated. Using digital tools to create tests has been common for some time, yet the tests are still mostly answered on paper. Our hypothesis has two parts: first, it is possible to create summative tests that match different levels and learning outcomes within a chosen subject; second, a test tool of some kind is necessary to enable teachers and examiners to take a more proactive attitude to(wards) different levels and learning outcomes in a subject and so ensure the quality of digital test designing. Based on an analysis of several digital tests we examine to what degree learning outcomes and levels are reflected in the different test questions. We also suggest functionality for a future test tool to support an improved design process.

The article discusses the use of modern tools and technologies for assessing learning outcomes. Evaluation of learning outcomes is inextricably linked with the quality of education provided by an educational institution. It is noted that today there is no single interpretation of the concept of “quality of education”. Because of the introduction of the competence approach, graduates now form not just a certain amount of knowledge and skills, but the ability to use it, apply the experience gained in practice, so modern assessment should be fundamentally new and different from traditional methods. The features of the competency assessment system are determined. The basic provisions of the assessment methodology are established and on their basis; we have identified the components of the model of the system of automated assessment of professional competencies. The principles of constructing the competency assessment model were singled out. The analysis of existing modern means of estimation is carried out. Among them, the methods specific to the authentic approach were highlighted, as well as the advantages of using the electronic platform Moodle for conducting the evaluation procedure.

Abstract: Learning evaluation is an activity to collect data and information about students' learning abilities, to assess how far the learning program has been running, and also as a tool to determine whether the educational objectives and learning process in developing science have taken place as they should. In addition, the evaluation also aims to determine the level of student achievement in a learning process, as well as to understand students the extent to which they can provide assistance to the shortcomings of students, with the aim of placing students in a learning situation that is more appropriate to their ability level. The function of learning evaluation is to help the process, progress and development of students' learning outcomes on an ongoing basis, and at the same time be able to know the abilities and weaknesses of students in a particular field of study, while also being able to provide information to parents/guardians of students regarding class ranking or determining graduation of participants students. The evaluation tool requirements are validity, effectiveness, different items and objectivity.
