Most researches relating to the success of information and technology system application focus on two separate matters, namely technology readiness and technology acceptance. Both perspectives are used to observe how technology is adopted by users. However, very few studies test them both concurrently in a single research. This research, therefore, aims to conduct testing on the two concurrently without separating them. This article attempts to put two differing theories to the test, which are the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Technology Readiness Index (TRI), in the context of e-government that is carried out via the Jakarta Smart City Program. To be more specific, the aJakarta Smart City Program analyzed in this study is the Qlue and CRM (Citizen Management Relationship) applications. The research method employed in this article is the quantitative method, wherein 225 respondents participated in this research to assess the level of technology readiness, the gathered data were subsequently processed by using the descriptive statistics analysis technique. Furthermore, 185 respondents also participated in observing how behavior influences the intention to use technology. These data were processed by using multiple linear regression analysis. Research results indicate that Jakarta SCR citizens’ technology readiness level can still be categorized as low and is identified as belonging to the Low Technology Readiness group, with a total TRI value of 2.7. Additionally, this research also shows that performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), social influence (SI), and facilitating conditions (FC) have positive and significant influence on the dependent variable, namely the behavioral intention to use the system (BIUS).

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence of the effect of information technology readiness, perceived usefulness, system effectiveness, and system feasibility on taxpayers' interest in implementing the e-filling system. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Task Technology Fit (TTF) are used as a theoretical basis to explain the effect of information technology readiness, perceived usefulness, system effectiveness, and system feasibility on taxpayers' interest in implementing the e-filling system. The number of samples used in the study were 100 respondents with purposive sampling method of determining the sample. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the analysis indicate that information technology readiness and system feasibility have a positive and significant effect on taxpayers' interest in implementing the e-filling system, while perceptions of the usefulness and effectiveness of the system have no effect on the interest of taxpayers in implementing the e-filling system. Flipped learning empowers learners to take an engaging role in learning while educators assist the learning process. The employment of flipped learning has been confirmed to enhance the teaching and learning of English as a second language in previous studies. This study aimed to explore the application of the unified theory of technology acceptance and use of technology towards ESL lecturers’ intention to use flipped learning. This study used a quantitative research framework where a set of online questionnaires was used in collecting the data. A total of 206 English as a second language lecturers from four different universities participated in this study. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The result of this study indicates that only social influence is significant in predicting English as a second language lecturers’ intention to use the flipped learning approach. Furthermore, this study enriches the literature on 21st century education and the integration of technology in teaching and learning. In addition, this study could help educators and stakeholders in adapting or enhancing the flipped learning approach by distinguishing the distinct predictors of technology acceptance.

Online learning has become essential in education as the spread of coronavirus 19 (COVID-19) pandemic has brought significant changes to the field. However, education should remain welcoming and supportive to all the learners as it is important to keep the students’ behavioural intention in any form of learning environment. Thus, this study is significant as online learning is leading the trend of education now. Past studies revealed that the factors of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions under the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model affect learners’ behavioural intention to use online learning. This study intended to identify the most significant factors that influence TESL postgraduate students’ behavioural intention towards the use of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. It also examined the relationship amongst the four factors and postgraduate students’ behavioural intention to use online learning. The participants consisted of 169 postgraduate students at a public university in Malaysia. To achieve the aim, the study utilized a survey design using a questionnaire. The results from regression analysis revealed that all of the factors have positive effects on postgraduate students’ behavioural intention to use online learning. Meanwhile, performance expectancy has the greatest influence on postgraduate students’ behavioural intention. Hence, this study concludes that the practicality and the usefulness of online learning should be highlighted by the authorities.

Online gambling has skyrocketed in recent years. As such, knowing the determinants of consumer usage behavior is crucial in understanding online gambling services. This study has as main objective the construction of an explanatory model of the online gambling services usage behavior, based on the incorporation of perceived risk in the conceptual framework of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2). The empirical validation of the model was performed by conducting an online survey to a convenience sample of 212 Portuguese online players. Data were processed using the PLS-SEM methodology. The results evidence that performance expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivations, price value, habits, as well as perceived risk influence the intention to use online gambling services.

Current empirical evidence suggests that successful adoption of eHealth systems improves maternal health outcomes, yet there are still existing gaps in adopting such systems in Uganda. Service delivery in maternal health is operating in a spectrum of inadequacy, hence eHealth adoption cannot ensue. This study set out to explore the challenges that impede eHealth adoption in women's routine antenatal care practices in Uganda. A qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews was employed to document challenges. These challenges were classified based on a unified theory of acceptance and use of technology constructs. One hundred and fifteen expectant mothers, aged between 18 and 49 years, who spoke either English or Luganda were included in the study that took place between January to May 2019. Thematic analysis using template analysis was adopted to analyse qualitative responses. Challenges were categorised based on five principal unified theories of acceptance and use of technology constructs namely: performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions and behavioural intention. Facilitating conditions had more influence on technology acceptance and adoption than the other four constructs. Specifically, the lack of training prior to using the system, technical support, computers and smart phones had a downhill effect on adoption. Subsequently, the cost of data services, internet intermittency, and the lack of systems that bridge the gap between mothers and health providers further hindered technology uptake. In conclusion, strategies such as co-development, training end-users, garnering support at the national and hospital levels should be advocated to improve user acceptance of technology.

Mobile learning is presently taking part in associate degree more and more important role within the instructional method, additionally as within the development of teaching and learning ways for higher education. The power to find out ‘on the go– anytime, anywhere, is changing into more and more fashionable. The advantages offered by mobile learning are important. On the opposite hand, the implementation of mobile learning in educational activity relies on users’ acceptance of technology. Acceptance and intention to use mobile learning may be a topic of growing interest within the field of education. The model of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) is planned and developed by researchers via a mixture of eight major theories in activity prediction. UTAUT is among the foremost fashionable and up to date model in information technology acceptance. This is review paper aiming to review UTAUT’s previous studies of intention to use mobile learning. In conclusion, this research provides insight regarding the necessary factors for planning and designing an intention to use mobile learning model in higher education institutions.

The volume and value of cash-based transactions in Nigeria is high and expected to rise. This is liked to non-adoption of new e-payment process introduced by the Central Bank. The adoption of Point of Sale (POS) terminal is reported to be very low. A number of researchers have used several technology adoption theories to answer a similar phenomenon, but their studies were fragmented. Thus the Unified Theory of acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) combined eight among those numerous theories and models of technology adoption, toward a unified view. However, several studies that used UTAUT and investigate behavioural intention to use technology yielded conflicting findings. Therefore this paper, based on review of past literature, conceptualised that ‘technology awareness’ moderates the relationship between performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions and behavioural intention to use POS.

Smart City Mobile Apps is currently being developed by property developers in major cities in Indonesia and is used by businesses to market their products through the application. The method used to see how well the implementation of digital marketing in Smart City Mobile Apps is to combine the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) and UTAUT (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) models. Questionnaire data were processed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The results of the study stated that the company's digital marketing strategy through Smart City Mobile Apps is already good where it can be seen from the value of adoption of Smart City Mobile Apps users in utilizing this application which is quite large at 0.764 based on the coefficient of determination. The variable that most influences consumers to use applications in finding trade information in the Smart City is the attitude variable with an influence value of 0.412 and the behavior intention to use with an influence value of 0.726. This shows that the intention behavior of the application and the trust in the benefits of the application can encourage users to use this application for purchasing their daily needs.

The purpose of this research is to examine the factors affecting interests of taxpayers in using efiling facility. The independent variables of this research are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, security and privacy, complexity, readiness technology taxpayers information and human resources. Data used in this research is primary data by using questionnaires. Respondent are the Individual Taxpayers who used e-filing.This research used multiple linear regression analysis that involved 108 respondents. The results show that: (1) perceived usefulness affects positively the intention to use E-filing, (2) perceived ease of use affects positively the intention to use E-Filing, (3) security and privacy affects positively the intention to use E-Filing, (4) complexity affects negatively the intention to use E-filing, (5) Readiness Technology Taxpayers Information affects positively the intention to use E-Filing (6) Human Resources affects positively the intention to use E-Filing

Ever since international emergence of the Internet, huge amounts of money have been invested on e-Government globally. Nevertheless, many African countries have recorded unsuccessful eGovernment initiatives. Optimal results are not exclusively dependent on technological innovation but combination of technologies and active participation of citizens. There is plethora of qualitative discussions on eGovernment with inadequate substantial quantitative study on the influence of trust on the adoption of eGovernment services in African developing economies. The unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) and the Web Trust model was integrated to investigate citizens' intention to use eGovernment services. Data relating to the constructs were collected from 310 respondents that participated in this study. Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectation, Facilitating Conditions and Trusting belief emerged as significant determinants of intention to use eGovernment services. Lastly, practical implications of the results are reported with discussion for further studies.
