The aims of this research is to increase student activity in learning mathematics by using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME)  in class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Prambanan. The study was conducted two siklus. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, documentation and triangulation. Instrument research observation sheet and interview. Instrument analysis using content validity. The analysis used is descriptive qualitative. The results showed that Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) can increase student learning activity This is evident from the observation of student activity in learning every siklus has increased, that is average of observation percentage of student activity in siklus I 50,623% (enough), and at siklus II increased to 61.960% (good). From the results of interviews with students showed a positive response on student learning activity.

This study aims to determine the ability of students to understand mathematical concepts through the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach to learning mathematics in class VIII of SMP PGRI 1 Betung. This research is a "quasi experiment" category of one shot case study. In this study, there was only one sample class, namely the class that became the experimental class, namely class VIII.5 consisting of 35 students, which was carried out without a control class or comparison class. The data collection technique used in this research is the test method, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the students' ability to understand mathematical concepts after the application of the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education Approach (PMRI) at SMP PGRI Betung is categorized as good, this is shown by the results of the average score. -The average final test of students' ability to understand mathematical concepts was 76.8.

This study was conducted based on preliminary study conducted by researchers who found that students' mathematical ability is still low to solve contextual problems, this will certainly have an impact on student learning outcomes that are less than the maximum. The purpose of this research is (1) To know the application of learning using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning approach, (2) To know the improvement of students' mathematical ability on the story after using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning approach, (3) improving student learning outcomes after using Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning approach. RME is a learning approach that emphasizes experiences, events, or something close to the real situation imaginable by students as a means of providing insight into math problems. The ability of mathematization is the ability of students to identify real-world problems and then translate them into sentences (mathematical models) and solve the model to get the solution of the real problem. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is conducted in SMP Negeri 2 Lumajang class VIII A 2016/2017 subject matter opportunities. This study consists of 2 cycles. In this research, it is found that (1) Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) implementation consists of understanding contextual problem, solving problems, comparing and discussing answers, and concluding. Percentage of achievement in the first cycle 72% increased in cycle II to 92%, (2) students' mathematization ability increased from cycle I to 77% then in cycle II reached 79%, (3) Percentage of learning achievement classic in cycle I reach 62,5% increase in cycle II to 81,25%. The average learning outcome of cycle I was 78.71 increasing in cycle II to 83.21. The conclusion can be obtained is the application of learning Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) able to improve the ability of mathematization and student learning outcomes in class VIII A SMP Negeri 2 Lumajang. Therefore, teachers are expected to improve students' mathematical skills in order to maximize learning outcomes by applying Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) learning.

This research aims to improve the activities and results of learning mathematics using the  Realistic Mathematics Education model for grade IV students of SDN 44 Bengkulu Tengah. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study was grade IV students of SDN 44 Bengkulu Tengah. The data collection instrument used the teacher activity observation sheet, student activity and learning results tests. The data analysis technique uses arithmetic mean and the percentage of learning completeness. The results showed: 1) teacher activity in the first cycle obtained an average of 3.20 increased to the second cycle obtained an average of 3.70, 2) student activity in the first cycle obtained an average of 3.30 and in the second cycle obtained an average -average 3.60, 3) Learning result in the first cycle obtained an average of 68.75 with learning completeness 62.5%, increased in the second cycle an average value of 80 with learning completeness 87.5%. The conclusion of this study that the use of the Realistic Mathematics Education model can improve the activity and learning result of fourth grade students of SDN 44 Bengkulu Tengah

The issue of learning mathematics which is related to everyday life has attracted the attention of researchers and educators. Learning that is emphasized on the daily experiences of students is easier to understand learning material and has a strong memory in applying mathematics in real life as the dependent variable in the form of children's learning achievement. This article aims to re-examine whether realistic mathematics learning ((Realistic Mathematics Education) has an influence on student achievement. By using a quasi-experimental research method whose population is all students of class VIII MTS NW SIKUR in the 2020/2021 learning year, totaling 50 students, from class 25 students of class VIII A and 25 students of Class B. Data were collected through test techniques and analyzed according to data analysis procedures The findings of this study were that there was an effect of the learning model of the Realistics Mathematics Education (RME) learning model in improving student learning in mathematics Pythagorean theorem material for Madrasah Tsanawiyah students

Based on experience and reflection multiplication of fractions learning at fifth class SDN 33 VII Koto Padang Pariaman district. Student learning outcomes is still low and the learning undertaken by teachers arenot using realistic problem to beginning of learning. So the author through this research trying to improve student learning outcomes in subjects multiplication of fractions. The purpose of this study was to describe the planning, implementation and learning outcomes. This research is action research (class action research), this study used a qualitative and quantitative approach. Learning is used by using the realistic mathematics education approach. After doing research hence an increase in student learning outcomes in multiplication of fractions lesson using realistic mathematics education approach. It can be seen, both from the ability of teachers in designing learning from 83% up to 94%, implementation of learning increased 94% from 77%, and learning outcomes increased to 86,87 from 74,04.

This research is based on the low level of Indonesian students mathematical literacy test released by PISA in 2015. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of Realistic Mathematics Education Approach and the earlymathematical ability to mathematical literacy in statistical materials. This research uses group design by level 2 x 2. This study was conducted in students of class VIII. The result of this research shows that there is influence of Realistic Mathematics Education Approach and early mathematical ability to mathematical literacy on statistical matter. Beside that, the Realistic Mathematics Education Approach not only increases mathematical literacy in students with high early mathematical skills, but also in students with low early mathematical abilities.

The process of teaching and learning mathematics in elementary schools is generally presented in an abstract form, learning is dominated by lectures, exercises, and question and answer methods so that students become passive and find it difficult to understand the material.  This study aims to determine the level of activity and student learning outcomes in mathematics class VA students of SDN 2 Kotagajah.  So that mathematics learning activities can be felt meaningful and produce activity and learning outcomes as well as learning objectives to be achieved properly is to apply the approach of realistic mathematics education (RME).  Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) is an approach that emphasizes the conceptualization of teaching and has a tendency for students to become active participants in the teaching and learning process.  This research is a classroom action research with data analysis in the form of qualitative and quantitative analysis using test data collection tools, observation, and documentation.  This study concludes that there is a relationship between student activity and learning outcomes and the use of successful methods to achieve the desired targets.  The average percentage of student activity in the first cycle was 67% and remembering as much as 11% and in the second cycle was 78%.  The percentage of completeness of learning outcomes reached 52% and 76% in cycle II.  So, there was an increase in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II, which was 24%.

Pendidikan Matematika Realistik merupakan pendekatan dalam pembelajaran matematika yang sesuai dengan paradigma pendidikan sekarang. Pendidikan Matematika Realistik menginginkan adanya perubahan dalam paradigma pembelajaran, yaitu dari paradigma mengajar menjadi paradigma belajar. Pada Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMR) mengutamakan pengenalan konsep melalui masalah kontekstual, hal-hal yang konkrit atau dari lingkungan sekitar dengan proses matematisasi oleh siswa dengan mengkonstruksikan idenya sendiri. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika realistik pada pokok bahasan persamaan linier satu variable. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, bahwa pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan pendekatan matematika realistik dapat di lihat bahwa secara keseluruhan kegiatan pembelajaran sudah sesuai dengan rancangan pembelajaran, siswa dapat mengkonstruksi sendiri konsep persamaan linear satu variable dan beberapa kelompok dapat menyelesaikan masalah konstektual sebalum diajarkan cara mengerjakan terlebih dahulu. Saran, sebagai tenaga pengajar hendaknya menciptakan suatu inovasi yang dapat mengembangkan bakat, menumbuhkan minat dan meningkatkan kebiasaan belajar siswa, sehingga konsep belajar matematika yang diperolehnya diharapkan lebih baik.Realistic Mathematics Education is an approach to learning mathematics in accordance with the current educational paradigm. Realistic Mathematics Education wants to change the paradigm of learning, from the paradigm of teaching to be learning. Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) prioritizing the introduction of concepts through contextual issues, things that are concrete or of the surrounding environment with a mathematical process by students with constructing his own. The purpose of this study was to describe how the process of implementation of realistic mathematics learning on the subject of one variable linear equations. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive. Based on the results of data analysis, that the understanding of math concepts students to approach realistic mathematics can be seen that the overall learning activities are in accordance with the lesson plan, students can construct their own concept of linear equations in one variable, and some groups can solve the contextual problem before teacher teach how to solve it first , Suggestions, as teachers should create an innovation that can make growing talent, cultivate interest and enhance the students' learning habits, so the concept is expected to study mathematics gained more better.

Abstrak : Tulisan ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pengimplementasian pendidikan matematika realistik pada pembelajaran materi pecahan di kelas IV SDN 2 Penedagandor yang dapat membangun pemahaman siswa tentangkonsep pecahan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I ketuntasan belajar yang dicapai siswa adalah 34,6% dengan rata-rata hasil tes 60,2. Pada siklus II, ketuntasan belajar mencapai 88,5% dengan rata-rata hasil tes 79,5. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus I berada pada kategori baik, sedang pada siklus II meningkat pada kategori sangat baik. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung efektif. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui kegiatankegiatan yang sesuai dengan realitas atau pengalaman siswa sehari-hari, siswa dapat membangun sendiri pemahaman mereka tentang konsep pecahan.Kata kunci : matematika realistik, pemahaman, konsep pecahanAbstract : The aim of this paper is to describe the implementation of realistic mathematics education in the learning factions in class IV SDN 2 Penedagandor which can build students’ understanding of the concept of fractions. This research is a classroom action research which is carried out in 2 cycles. The results showed that the learning exhaustiveness in cycle I achieved 34.6% with score average is 60.2, and in cycle II, achieved 88.5% with scoreaverage 79.5. Student learning activities in cycle I is good, while in cycle II is very good. Therefore, it can be said that learning activities is very effectively. The conclusion is that students can build their own understanding of the concept of fractions through activities that correspond to reality or their life experience.Keywords : mathematics realistic, understanding, the concept of fractions
