Learning Javanese language has been starting on since a long time, but still there are some problems found in the field. Problems when learning Javanese language that occur in SD Patemon 01 and SD Sekaran 01, District Gunungpati, Semarang are (1) low capacity of the teachers in creating computer-based learning media, (2) lack of language skills of the teachers in using Javanese language variety of manners, and (3) frequent occurrence of errors in the assessment of learning Javanese language. In connection with these conditions, devotee team tried to be facilitators to the problems faced by teachers in SD Patemon 01 and SD Sekaran 01 by conducting science and technology activities for the Community (IbM). IbM program implementation used workshop model with a variety of methods, such as lecturing, demonstrations, direct practice, frequently asked questions and assignments. The results of this IbM program are capacity building of teachers in making computers-based learning media for Javanese language, improving the competence of teachers in terms of manners of Javanese language skills, and increaseing understanding of Javanese language learning assessment. The increase was indicated from abilities’ score of the teachers before and after the IbM program. The ability of teachers in terms of making computer-based instructional media increased significantly, ie 16.9%. Competence of teachers in terms of unggah-ungguh based on Javanese language, especially in speaking skills manners increased 6.3%. The ability of teachers in terms of understanding of the Java language learning assessment increased 9.7%.

Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) addresses the specific needs of second language learners and tutors in computer-based learning and training environments. While traditional CALL applications were mainly focused on narrowly defined and isolated solutions for vocabulary training, text manipulation, dialogue practice and grammar exercises, recent developments in multimedia telematics, involving the integration of multimedia processing and distance communication, have significantly increased the potential of computer technologies for the purposes of language learning and training.

Computer-based learning environments have been defined as settings where students use software to facilitate active, exploratory learning. We distinguish between illocutionary and non-illocutionary learning environments: the computer interprets the intent of students in the former but not in the latter. We apply these terms to language learning environments, and report descriptive research on ESL students' use of a non-illocutionary learning environment. Results indicated students “explored” the learning environment in a routine way, but failed to explore creatively the program's morphosyntactic possibilities; routine exploration was positively related to attitudes for part of the group, but negatively related to attitudes for students who may have found the software environment too easy. Implications for illocutionary and non- illocutionary learning environments are discussed.

For a long time, functional Java programming was not possible. However, lambda expressions appeared in version 8 of the Java language. Due to the support of standard library classes (Stream, Optional, etc.) in Java, it became possible to describe transformations over data in a functional style. Java is a rather old language with a large imperative code base written in it. In order to take advantage of the new approach, it is necessary to perform a non-trivial refactoring, which can be very tedious and error prone when applied manually. Fortunately, for a sufficiently large number of situations, this refactoring can be safely performed automatically. Using IntelliJ Idea as a platform software tool was developed that allows you to find places where it is possible to automatically convert an imperative code to an equivalent code that uses Stream API, as well as an automatic fix that allows you to make a replacement. Refactoring uses IntelliJ Idea framework to analyze Java code, and integrates into the IDE itself. One of the main criteria for the correct operation of the algorithm is the security of this transformation. The user cannot trust the tool if the transformation can change the semantics of the code. This article discusses various constraints that are imposed on code patterns so that transformation without distortion of semantics is possible. Refactoring has been tested in various libraries to verify the semantics are preserved by checking the test results before and after applying refactoring. This article will not describe the impact of using the Stream API on the performance of the application.

This article presents ideas and models for English language learning, using elements of two communicative learning methods for the specific purposes of sport practice. It is part of a pedagogical experiment, carried out with students from the National Sport Academy “V.Levski”, Sofia, organized into an experimental group (34) and a control group (34). The aim of the experiment was to study the influence of interactive techniques applied in the specialized English language course for sport terminology. The experimental course work involved using elements of different interactive learning methods to teach sport terminology to the experimental group of students for about 30-40 minutes of every academic class of 90 minutes. Initial and final tests of the basic language skills and knowledge of sports terminology were carried out with the experimental and control group of students, in order to establish their language competences before and after the experimental course. The results from the tests were processed with statistical methods – variation analysis and Student’s t-test (dependent and independent samples). The results from the initial and final tests of the two groups have shown that students from the experimental group have improved their language skills, their confidence in using the language and their knowledge of sports terms to a greater extent than the control group. Applying interactive techniques in language learning for the needs of sport specialists leads to better results in their language acquisition.

This paper examines the range of different factors which in our experience contribute to student resistance to the use of computers for language learning. These problems relate to aspects of the computing environment, social and psychological factors and issues relating to the curriculum and teaching methods. We have made basic suggestions about ways of overcoming these resistances. However our principal finding is that the most effective and coherent way of fostering student adoption of CALL is to develop a computer based learning environment, which draws on the success of communications software and the Internet, based on the computer conferencing program First Class.

A large number of vocabulary that is owned by someone, it reflects the quality of the language which is owned by him. From the large number of vocabulary, the learners of a language should have a good memory to memorize vocabulary as a basic for the skillful in the language. Often in a memorizing a new vocabulary, the learners encounter an obstacle. These obstacles are a common problem, because the ability to set or keep someone memory is not maximized. With the existence of these problems, it needs a media to facilitate the learners for make it easier to remember vocabulary nicely. One effective media for learning vocabulary is uses the photos of media. The purpose of this research was to determine the result of an increase in the ability to remember the vocabulary of nouns language before and after using the media of photos. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental, with the design of the research one group pretest posttest. The samples in this research is 24 students of class XI SMAN 15 Bandung cross-interest Japanese language. The instrument used in this research is the tests and questionnaires. Based on the results of research data, there are significant differences between the preliminary results and the final results on the students. This is evidenced by the results of the t-count by 17, 21> t-table 2, 07 with significant level of 5% and a t count 17, 21> t-table 2, 81 with a significant level of 1%. It can be concluded that hypothesis was accepted. Then, in terms of effectiveness using a normalized gain obtained a value of 0, 90, where the value is proven that the utilization of photo media is effective for the learning noun vocabulary in Japanese language, and can be used as one of the alternative media.

Computer-based applications in second language teaching have now been used for a protracted period of time, evolving from a deductive approach relying on grammatical progression to inductive methods and, more recently, exploratory interaction better suited to the constructivist mode. However, despite the initial adoption of a traditional learning environment, the first, albeit influential, generation of software design was poorly recognized, or worse, even met with scepticism by academics inasmuch as it did not seem to represent or, indeed, symbolize good teaching practices (Laurillard, 1991). As a result, original CALL programmes, such as gap-filling or substituting exercises, were often only considered appropriate as supplementary teaching material and, as such, referred to or introduced within courses as convenient adjuncts providing students with greater practical experience. Equally, students as users were never consulted on the use of CALL or, indeed, implicated beyond the designed interaction. Indeed, it was generally assumed that, since computer-based learning was a new concept, it would be, by itself, attractive and generate increased enthusiasm within the language-learning context. This situation was made even worse by a developmental process, dominated by self-taught, in-house authoring, which was too often amateurish, task-based in approach and empirical. Unfortunately, despite recent development in multimedia and hypermedia, this CALL legacy has been affecting CALL in design, practice and projected use.DOI: 10.1080/0968776000080105

Javanese language is the language most widely used by Indonesian people after Indonesian, because the Javanese population is very large, spread throughout Indonesia. But along with the development of the Java language, especially Javanese language krama almost extinct caused by the younger generation lacking appreciation of the Javanese language as their regional language. In this study, researchers will analyze a Javanese language learning program that is a day of Javanese language conducted by MI Al Jabbar with a focus on implementation, manners of language skills, and the effect of the program on students' karmic speaking skills. The results of this study indicate that the Javanese language program runs very well with an average score of 81.4 students. While the effect of a day program in Javanese language with students' language skills occupying the value of the linear regression equation was obtained Y = 25.4 + 1.331X with the regression significance test showing F *> F and by testing the correlation coefficient of r = 0.438 obtained t = 2.497 which stated the influence positive between the two variables. And with a significance level of 0.05 obtained t (0.05) (33) <t arithmetic. It can be concluded that there is an influence of a sebaja program (a day in Javanese language) on the skills of speaking Javanese Krama in Al-Jabbar MI Sumberagung Dander Bojonegoro
