The current development of English Language Teaching (ELT) is gradually shifting towards learning language skills in an integrated manner that do not use separated skills. It makes teachers look for the right approach to teach the desegregated four language skills. Accordingly, this project investigated the Students of Candidate English Teachers (SCET) learning process using the Cultural Language Learning Approach (CLLA) for acculturating their Integrated Language Learning (ILL) in use. It was an applied study involving 100 SCET consisting of 60 females and 40 males aged between 20-22 years. They were intervened purposely in the learning process, to be well-acculturated to guard their native cultures. Quasi-semester meetings were carried out online. A closed-questionnaire and in-depth observation were the data gathering tools employed in this study. The results were analyzed descriptively using learners’ engagement factors inspired by Lee, Song and Hong’s model and Sheppard’s scoring rubrics. The results revealed that 68.31 % of learners were engaged during their ILL process. Besides, in-depth observation achieved the same average score, namely 77 in each quasi-semester. Such scores were respectively categorized both in their learning engagement and achievement. Thus, CLLA can be used as an alternative approach to familiarize SCET with integrated language use in acculturating their ILL process. This study recommended further research on learners' ILL acculturation through different native cultures acculturation.

In accordance with the method of this study, the data were analyzed using t-test that allows knowing the difference between the experimental group that used a class of written retelling strategy and the control group who did not use written retelling strategy. Finally, the research data show that t observations = 3,590 and is included in the category of high impact. Furthermore, t observation T Table consult with a significance level of 5% = 2.010 and 1% = 2,682, the data states that t observations greater than the T Table, this could mean that Hi is received. And could mean that there is a positive and significant influence between experiment class and class control on the use of written retelling strategy at second grade of Senior High School  Kartikatama Metro.

AbstractThe objective of this paper is to develop an simulation model able to test different language education orientations and their consequences for the EU population in terms of linguistic disenfranchisement, that is, the inability of citizens to understand EU documents and parliamentary discussions should their native language(s) no longer be official. I will focus on the impact of linguistic distance and language learning. Ideally, this model would be a tool to help EU policy makers make informed decisions about language practices and education policies, taking into account their consequences in terms of diversity and linguistic disenfranchisement. The model can be used to force agents to make certain choices in terms of language skills acquisition. The user can then go on to compare different scenarios in which language skills are acquired according to different rationales. The idea is that, by forcing agents to adopt certain language learning strategies, the model user can simulate policies promoting the acquisition of language skills and get an idea of their impact. In this way, the model allows not only to sketch various scenarios of the evolution of language skills among EU citizens, but also to estimate the level of disenfranchisement in each of these scenarios.
