Language is foremost a means of communication used by people to convey their ideas and feelings to others when they talk directly or indirectly. Current phenomenon is common in society the code switching used by individuals who live in a bilingual or multilingual community in which the code switching can occur. The researcher chooses one of Malinau students in Lamongan. Her name is "Siti Bakhiatus Sholikhah" Faculty of Fisheries, Lamongan Islamic University, on eighth semester.The purpose of this study is to find out the types of code switching and find out the functions of code switching used by Malinau Student in Lamongan. This study examines the types of code switching that occurred during the conversations used by Malinau Students in Lamongan. The research design of this study is using qualitative descriptive method. The collection technique of the data is from of recording and chatting in social media : like a WhatsApp and Facebook from “Lika’s” talks. The data analysis techniques used found that are preparing, reading and undesrtanding, coding and classifying, interpreting and drawing te conclusion. From this data found the types and functions of code switching are analyzed by using the theory of Poplack’s and Apple and Muysken. From the results of analysis, three types of code switching (tag switching, inter-sentential switching and intra-sentential switching) and four functions of code switching are (referential function of code switching, directive function of code switching, expressive function of code switching and metalinguistic function of code switching). Keywords: Code switching, Malinau students

This research aims to examine the speech act functions found on Instagram @punapibali and describe the types of speech acts used by the informant and news writer. Thus, this study was conducted using the qualitative descriptive method and by using the pragmatics fundamentals proposed by Wijana (1996) and the speech act function theory of Searle (1979) as the basis for examining the speech act functions used by the informant and news writer according to its type. The data were collected through the observation method accompanied by an act of scrutinizing speeches and sentences of the informant and news writer @punapibali. The oral data were collected from the conversations use to know the intonation and tone of the speech delivered. The data analysis results are presented descriptively. The results of data analysis showed there are 40 types of speech acts used in the caption of Instagram @punapibali. The expressive function is manifested in the act of asking for an apology, thanking someone, and congratulating someone. The directive function includes the act of asking, suggesting, advising, and urging. The commissive function includes expressing abilities and promising. The assertive function includes notifying, affirming, and stating. The declarative function is manifested in the act of declaration.

Wirausaha Baru Jawa Barat Program (WUB Jabar Program) which organized by Badiklatkop Bandung, is an entrepreneurship training in 3 choices of business field, those are food-beverage, convection, and salon. Participants are divided into Ide Bisnis class, Start-up class, or Growth class. Ide Bisnis Class is for participants who do not have a business, or already have a business but not yet reached the age of 1 year. Through a survey of 237 Ide Bisnis class graduates, there were 21 people who failed in establishing their new business after participated in the program. This research aims to determine the factors that caused failure. The qualitative descriptive method used in this research. Data collection techniques with an observation of program WUB Jabar, and interviews with 7 graduates who experienced business failure, also to 5 graduates whose business is still continuing. Data analysis techniques with Miles and Huberman models. The results of this research explained that the main factor causing graduates’ new business failure is the barrier on capital because barriers on capital causing barriers on other factors. And capital factor is also the most difficult barrier to be solved by the graduates who do not experience the business failure

This paper is entitled “The Analysis Code Switching Found in The Novel “Critical Eleven”. The aims of this study  are to describe the types, function and to the analyse reasons of code switching used by the novelist. The data  in this study were taken from all chapters of the novel entitled “Critical Eleven”by Ika Natassa. Firstly, the code switching that occurs in novel were identified and then they were classified and analyzed based on their types, function, and reasons of code switching. The collected data were analyzed  using three theories;  first the theory by Poplack as the main theory used in this study; this theory was used to analyze the three types of code swtching, they are: Tag Switching, Inter-Sentental Switching, Intra-Sentential Switching. The second theory proposed by Apple and Muyken was used to anlyze the function of code switching. They divided the functions into six categories, which are: Referential Function, Directive Function, Expressive Function, Phatic Function, Metalinguistic Function, Poetic Function. The theory proposed by Grosjean was used to analyze the reason of code switching.  There are ten reasons of code switching; they are: To Fill A Linguistic Need For Lexical Item, Set Phrase, Discouse Marker Or Sentence Filler,To Continue Last Language Used (Triggering}, To Qoute Someone, To Emphasize, To Spesify Speaket Addressee, To Qualify Message: Amplify Or Emphasize, To Specify Speaker Involvement, To Mark And Emphasize Group Identity (Solidarity), To Convey Confidentially, Anger, Annoyance, To  Exclude Someone From Conversation, To Change Role Of Speaker: Rise Status, Add Authority, Show Expertise.But from the six functions of code switching  applied, there are only five functions of code switching found in the novel; they are Referential Function, Expressive Function, Phatic Function, Metalinguistic Function And Poetic Function. And based on the reasons of code switching, there were only seven which were found in the novel”Critical Eleven”; they are To Fill A Linguistic Need For Lexical Item, To Continue The Last Language Used (Triggering), To Quote Someone, Specify Addressee, To Specify Speaker Involvement, To Mark And Emphasize Group Identify (Solidarity) And To Convey Confidentially, Anger, And Annoyance.

<p><span lang="IN">This study aims to describe the language variation phenomena in the form of indoglish and idiolect in the Girl Squad public figures on Instagram social media. This research is qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of captions or written expressions on Girl Squad’s Instagram uploads. Data sources were obtained from public social media Instagram of Girl Squad member figures. Data collection techniques are collected through documentation, listening, and note-taking. Data analysis was carried out in the interactive study by classifying data taken in written expressions on the Instagram caption of Girl Squad members who then organized and concluded indoglish languages and Idioms. The result of this study indicates the indoglish phenomenon that occurs in the upload of written expressions on the public Instagram figure of Girl Squad. Also, idiolect was found in several public members of the Girl Squad figure. Indoglish language patterns found include (1) prefix insertions, (2) suffix insertions, and (3) pronouns. Idiolect language patterns found include (1) word emphasis, (2) adaptation, (3) creation or formation of new words, and (4) contemporary language.</span></p>

This study is entitled "Code-Switching Analysis on YouTube Channel "#NebengBoy by Boy William”. The aim of the study is to analyze the type and the function of code-switching on the Boy William YouTube Channel. The data is collected from the YouTube Channel of Boy William which is taken from Maudy Ayunda and Sandra Dewi episodes. The method and technique of collecting data is the documentation method, and the analysis is done by the qualitative method. The theory that is used to analyze the types and functions of code-switching is Apple & Muysken's theory (2015). Three types of code-switching are found namely tag switching, intra-sentential switching, and inter-sentential switching, and their six functions, namely referential function, directive function, expressive function, phatic function, metalinguistic function, and poetic function. Nonetheless, the metalinguistic function is not found in the analyzed data.

The story of animal symbolism is associated with knowledge and wisdom. This is in order to be used as an example by humans as a valuable lesson. Humans can learn ethics from fables. In the modern view, the symbolism of animals in relation to the issue of eco-psychology has become a trending topic. This study aims to explore the symbolism of sacred and profane animals in the Quran through a hermeneutic-anthropological perspective. This study used a qualitative-descriptive method by describing the data narratively. The data analysis techniques used in this study are hybridization techniques. First, there is reciting the verses (hermeneutical-anthropological) in the Quran can be either universal or particular. Second, there is identifying the passages that relate to animals, whether real pets or unreal ones (symbolism). Third, there is the classification of the animals associated with the pattern of binary oppositions, and the Quran in the context of mytheme (unit of myths) and cheritheme (unit of the story). Fourth, there is the search for collective mediation functions for the community supporters who are in the Quran - mytheme and cheritheme animals. The findings of this study are that: 1) animal symbolism in the Quran appears in the form of either dyadic or triadic and 2) the symbolism of animals the Quran shows that animals in the Quran have a collective mediating function for the supporting community,i.e. a) animals as intermediaries towards holy people (through sacrifice); b) animals as medicine/human health; and c) animals as protectors. The conclusion of this study shows that animals in the Quran appear in both real and symbolic form.

AbstrakMasalah dalam  penelitian ini yaitu masyarakat Kabupaten Tebo selama ini hanya mampu menikmati batik secara fungsional saja tanpa mengetahui nama dari bentuk motif apalagi makna filosofis yang terkandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan desain motif yang meliputi motif utama, motif pelengkap, dan isen-isen. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Jenis data berupa data primer dan data sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisa data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motif yang terdapat pada Rumah Batik Tebo terdiri dari 12 motif yaitu motif tanggo rajo, simpang tugu, bambu runcing, rebung nyengum, rumah adat, bungo pakis, konde mina, tapak kudo, bungo tanjung, baibat, tapak kudo dan buah daun sawit dan pawn.Kata Kunci: modul, media pembelajaran, teknologi, busana.AbstractThe problem in this study is that the people of Tebo Regency have only been able to enjoy batik functionally without knowing the names of the motifs especially the philosophical meanings contained. This study aims to describe the motive design which includes the main motives, complementary motifs, and isen-isen. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. Types of data in the form of primary data and secondary data. Collecting data trough obsevation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by interactive model analysis techniques. The results showed that the motifs found in Rumah Batik Tebo consisted of 12 motifs, namely motifs tanggo rajo, simpang tugu, bambu runcing, rebung nyengum, rumah adat, bungo pakis, konde mina, tapak kudo, bungo tanjung, baibat, tapak kudo dan buah daun sawit dan pawn.Keywords: design, motif batik, batik tebo.

This research aims to reveal the students’ understanding about niqab, to scrutinize other university members’ response, students’ who wear niqab resistance at  Islamic University in Kendari. This research uses qualitative descriptive method by phenomenon and living Quran approach to know students’ insight of niqob. The data collection uses documentation, interview and observation. Data analysis uses data reduction, validation and taking conclusion using textual and contextual comprehension. The results show that: (1) 80% respondent students of IAIN Kendari who are wearing niqob know the dalil is from Q.S. Al Ahzab : 59 and Q.S. Annur : 31, nevertheless they did not understand the dalil deeply. 2 students consider that it is compulsory, and 8 students consider it as sunnah or optional. (2) university communities’ response to students’ who wear niqob, are first, it is allowed by some requirement; second, it is not permitted if resulting social anxiety, third, the students’ attitude to be more exclusive and introvert; forth, other community feel uncomfortable in communication; and fifth there should be specific regulation for niqob  wearer, (3) There are 4 types of students’ resistance, they are, opened resistance (social media exposing), alternative resistance (wearing masker), closed resistance (optional in wearing niqab, partially covered and uncovered), negotiated resistance (negotiating to rector).

This research is expected to provide clearer explanations to readers regarding the Strategy of Marketing Public Relations Ruci’s Joint conducting and communicating rebranding to increase sales value. The purpose of this research is to know Marketing Public Relations Ruci’s Joint’s Strategy in conducting and communicationg rebranding to increase sales value. The main theory used is Marketing Public Relations and the other supporting theories are brand, and rebranding. The method of insulation used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection thechniques are done by conducting in-depth interviews, and observations. The speakers in this study are form internal and external companies. The data obtained from the subject of this study are analyzed by data analysis techniques, while for the data trust techniques using source triangulation data.

This study aimed to describe the form of word classes that was deeply conformed in the  Tukang Besi Island languange, Kaledupa dialect at Wakatobi Regency. This research method was qualitative descriptive method. The data source was taken from the native speakers  of Tukang Besi Island language, Kaledupa dialect and it was in oral data. Methods and techniques of data collection were observation methods with participantive observation techniques, recording , and noting techniques. Data analysis techniques were data selection, data classification, meaning, and data analysis. The results proved that the form ofhomonimic word class in  Tukang Besi Island languange, Kaledupan dialect were adjectives with nouns, nouns with nouns, verbs with adjectives, verbs with nouns, nouns with numerals, verbs with verbs, verbs with adverbs, particles with nouns. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud kelas kata yang berhomonim dalam Bahasa Kepulauan Tukang Besi Dialek Kaledupa di Kabupaten Wakatobi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber datanya diambil dari para penutur asli bahasa Kepulauan Tukang Besi Dialek Kaledupa dan jenis datanya berupa data lisan. Metode dan teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu metode observasi dengan teknik observasi partisipatif, teknik rekam, dan teknik catat. Teknik analisis data, yaitu penyeleksian data, pengklasifikasian data, pemaknaan, dan penganalisisan data. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa wujud kelas kata yang berhomonim dalam bahasa Kelupauan Tukang Besi Dialek Kaledupa, yaitu adjektiva dengan nomina, nomina dengan nomina, verba dengan adjektiva, verba dengan nomina, nomina dengan numeralia, verba dengan verba, verba dengan adverbia, dan partikel dengan nomina.
