<p><em>Mathematical refractive thinking ability</em><em> must </em><em>be given in every lecture because it is needed in decision making. This study aims to produce a quality mathematical refractive thinking ability instrument, especially for calculus material. Instrument quality is measured in terms of validity and reliability. Content validity, con</em><em>s</em><em>tr</em><em>u</em><em>ct validity and face validity were assessed by three material experts. The instrument was tested </em><em>by</em><em> 32 mathematics education students to measure empirical validity and reliability. This research resulted in three items of mathematical refractive thinking ability tests that are valid and have instrument reliability in the medium category.</em><em></em></p>

The research aims at constructing an instrument for measuring the selective visual attention of basic education students in Gaza, and verifying its validity and reliability. The research sample consisted of 200   grade ten students in Khan Younis (for the academic year, 2018 -2019). The evidence of constructive validity and the factorial validity of the instrument were  investigated. Results of the predictive factorial analysis showed that the three tasks of the instrument  covered a single  potential factor  namely selective visual attention. All slides of the selective visual attention tasks have achieved statistically significant correlations with the overall scores of the instrument.  The content of the slides was also validated in relation to the instrument. The instrument reliability was also checked with the alpha coefficient for the final form of the instrument as a whole (0,962), and the split–half  reliability coefficients ranged from (0.770 – 0.907). The final form of the instrument  showed three major functions.

This study aims to measure the validity and reliability construct satisfaction and quality of library services based on the user using LIBQUAL (library quality) method with a touch of marketing management. Data analysis by Cronbach Alpha and Pearson Correlation. The research was conducted in Tanjungpura University (UNTAN) by taking samples of visitors (students) at six (6) faculty libraries namely three (3) social faculty of 150 people and three (3) science faculty of 150 people. The sample is chosen by purposive sampling method. Reliability test results show that the five US, IC, LP, LQ and KU variables show high instrument reliability. The result of pearson correlation test shows that the measurement instrument used has problem validity on some question items. At minimum service item with correlation value smaller than 0.30 is IC2, IC5 and LQ5 so it is declared invalid. At service expectation items with correlation value smaller than 0.30 ie AS8, IC1, IC2, IC4, LP1, KU1, KU2, KU4, and KU8. And at present service items with correlation values smaller than 0.30 ie IC1, IC3, LP1, LP3, LQ1, LQ3, LQ4 and KU1.

Introduction: Cancer is the second commonest explanation for death subsequent to heart diseases and it represented 8.8 million deaths worldwide during 2015. Quality of Life (QOL) is all about personal satisfaction, degree or the standard to which an individual, gathering of individuals or community people can appreciates the significant inclination and experience of life like physically, mentally, socially, etc. Aim: To identify the existing tools or instrument for QOL among chemotherapy patients. Materials and Methods: A systematic review of literature for QOL tool among chemotherapy patients was conducted. Electronic databases were looked: Pubmed, proquest, PsycINFC Scopus, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINHAL). Results: Researcher found 673 research papers from electronic data base: from that 353 articles were excluded bases on exclusion criteria. So total retrieved articles were 320 among all 51 duplicate articles, 88 No full text available, 58 not relevant and 47 abstracts were excluded. Final retrieved articles were 76; among them 38 full articles were excluded based on inclusion criteria. Finally, according to 38 studies, out of 14 investigations utilised European Organisation for the Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC QOL-C 30) survey, four studies used the Health Related Quality Of Life (HRQOL) tool, four studies used World Health Organisation Quality of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) is a self-report questionnaire which assesses 4 domains of quality of life (QOL): physical health, psychological health, social relationships, and environment, Twelve studies used self administered questionnaire, four studies used other method like face to face validity, Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy (FACT) etc. The most-normally utilised instrument was a QOL tool for use in universal clinical preliminaries in oncology having a place with EORTC QOL C-30 survey, HRQOL tool and WHO BREF tool. Conclusion: In this review study variety of instruments has been used by the researcher that explores the QOL of chemotherapy patients. The significance of psychometric properties of the instruments and its effect on discoveries rising up out of various examinations, it appears to be fundamental that more thought be paid to the validity and reliability of tool before conducting the research studies. Literature suggested that the analysts contribute enough consideration regarding the choice of standard instruments and organise the instruments' validity and reliability of their outlook explores. Finding of study suggested that tools along with ideal psychometrics properties which were good with the socio-cultural setting of particular country.

This study aims to find out how the process of developing instrument products in the form of a four-tier diagnostic test on parabolic motion material, and to find out how the quality of a four-tier diagnostic test instrument product on parabolic motion material was developed. The test subjects were all high school students of class X MIPA, taken by purposive sampling, namely 60 students in the first phase of the trial and 134 students for the 2nd phase of the trial. of 0,3 which means valid. The instrument reliability value is 0,859 which is in the very high reliability category. This means that the developed instrument can be used to identify misconceptions. The results of expert validation indicate that the instrument is in the very good category so that it can be used to identify misconceptions. The validation results from the first validator are 85% (Good) and the second validator is 92,08% (very good). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the misconception instrument developed from one-tier questions to four-tier diagnostic tests is appropriate to be used to identify students' misconceptions on parabolic motion material. This can be seen from the results of the analysis of the validity and reliability of the instrument, where all items are valid and have very high reliability.

Background and Objectives. Severe sleep disturbance is a common problem among patients in cardiac care units (CCUs). There are questionnaires to measure sleep disturbances. Therefore, the present study seeks to design a valid and reliable questionnaire to assess sleep disturbance in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) hospitalized in CCUs. Materials and Methods. In the present methodological research, items of the questionnaire were extracted through a systematic review. The validity and reliability of the questionnaires was assessed by face validity, content validity, construct validity, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, and test-retest methods. Results. Factor analysis provided a questionnaire of 23 items on 5 dimensions of sleep disturbance in coronary patients: “sleep onset and continuity disorder,” “disorder in daytime functioning,” “sleep disturbance caused by environmental factors,” “sleep disturbance as a result of cardiac diseases,” and “respiratory disorders during sleep.” Furthermore, test-retest analysis showed a reliability correlation coefficient of r=0.766 and α Cronbach’s reliability (α=0.855). Conclusion. Sleep disturbance questionnaire for patients with ACS hospitalized in coronary care unit (CCU) was identified in 5 dimensions and assessed for validity and reliability. To control and improve the sleep quality of CCU hospitalized patients, we need to identify and remove predisposing factors.

Background: Handheld dynamometers are used for diagnosis and rehabilitation at several pathologies. Grip force is essential for a person’s quality of life. Most dynamometers are not equipped with rehabilitation or training protocols, although the bibliography highlights this need. Objective: To compare the validity and reliability of Jamar and K-Force Grip dynamometers in patients with shoulder impingement syndrome and healthy people. Methods: Concurrent validity was assessed using known weights. Forty-four (44) patients and 69 healthy adults performed three maximum repetitions in random order with each hand, at each instrument. Reliability was evaluated using ICCs for each instrument separately, and between the two instruments. The differences between the two dynamometers were evaluated using repeated t-tests. Results: Concurrent validity of the two instruments did not reveal fix or proportional bias. Analyses for reliability yield high correlation coefficients for both groups with the lower one being between the two instruments r = 0.90, p < 0.05, (0.72–0.91) for the healthy group. T-tests showed that all participants had lower force values when using the K-Force Grip (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Both dynamometers were reliable in measuring hand grip strength for both groups. K-Force Grip was reliable and valid with respect to Jamar that was used as a benchmark. The different handle dimensions between the two dynamometers may be the reason for the different force values.

The aims of this study are to measure the level of service quality and how to improve the quality of service execution in re-measurement tera and tera of UTTP in Commerce On duty Co-Operation, Industrial and Commerce Of Sub-Province of Pacitan. This research’s object is traditional market of Minulyo Pacitan as mains market in Sub-Province of Pacitan with 100 perpetrator people of sample as user/owner of UTTP (ukur,timbang, takar, dan perlengkapannya) with method intake of sampel by Convenience Sampling. The technique of collecting data uses questionnaires and direct interview. This research use qualitative analysis instrument test of validity and reliability to know valid or not and reliabel or not about the questions of questionnaire. Then, this research was done with Servqual method as instrument to do measurement of service quality. The measurement of service quality in Servqual method pursuant to five service dimension that is tangibles, responsiveness, realibility, assurance, and empathy. This research will be measured of gap 5 that is difference among performance and its expectation. Ad for yielded gap from a enumeration of Servqual 5 gap, -146 progressively lower him mount the quality of given service activities. Therefore, its needs the existence of priority repair of service quality, in this case is service of remeasurement tera and tera of UTTP at biggest difference or gap that is at variable of Responsiveness ( Energy Listen carefully) and attribute that has smallest difference that is – 0.44 at dimension question of variable of Tangibles ( Evidence Physical). This study aimed to develop an instrument for measuring the attitudes that reflect the characteristics of the pandemic (Adult Pandemic Attitude Scale (A-PAS)) and verifying its validity and reliability. This study used a methodological research design and was conducted with a development step and an evaluation step. The development step included development of preliminary items, content validity, face validity, and preliminary investigation. The evaluation step included item analysis, construct validity, convergent validity, discriminant validity, criterion validity, factor naming, reliability, and completion of the final instrument. The A-PAS developed in this study consisted of a total of 20 items in five dimensions. The internal consistency of 20 items of the A-PAS, Cronbach’s α was 0.92 for 20 items, Cronbach’s α for each factor, a subscale of instrument, was 0.61~0.87 and Raykov’s p coefficient of each factor, which is a subscale of the tool, was found to be 0.60 to 0.88. Analysis of construct validity showed the results as follows: χ2 (p) = 134.05 (p < 0.001), RMSEA = 0.02, RMR = 0.02, GFI = 0.94, CFI = 0.99. The study findings suggest that the developed instrument can be utilized to measure the attitudes of adults toward pandemics, and reflect the reality of the pandemic situation. The outcomes can be used as valuable data for intervention, prevention activities, and policy preparation. The instrument will be applied in the event of a pandemic, such as COVID-19, and will be helpful in promoting the health of the people.

Abstract Background Despite the high burden of disease in younger children there are few tools specifically designed to estimate Health Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) in children younger than 3 years of age. A previous paper described the process of identifying a pool of items which might be suitable for measuring HRQoL of children aged 0–3 years. The current paper describes how the items were pruned and the final draft of the measure, Toddler and Infant (TANDI) Health Related Quality of Life, was tested for validity and reliability. Methods A sample of 187 caregivers of children 1–36 months of age were recruited which included children who were either acutely ill (AI), chronically ill (CI) or from the general school going population (GP). The TANDI, an experimental version of the EQ-5D-Y proxy, included six dimensions with three levels of report and general health measured on a Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) from 0 to 100. The content validity had been established during the development of the instrument. The TANDI, Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ), Faces, Leg, Activity, Cry, Consolabilty (FLACC) or Neonatal Infant Pain Scale (NIPS) and a self-designed dietary information questionnaire were administered at baseline. The TANDI was administered 1 week later in GP children to establish test-retest reliability. The distribution of dimension scores, Cronbach’s alpha, rotated varimax factor analysis, Spearman’s Rho Correlation, the intraclass correlation coefficient, Pearson’s correlation, analysis of variance and regression analysis were used to explore the reliability, and validity of the TANDI. Results Concurrent validity of the different dimensions was tested between the TANDI and other instruments. The Spearman’s Rho coefficients were significant and moderate to strong for dimensions of activity and participation and significant and weak for items of body functions. Known groups were compared and children with acute illness had the lowest ranked VAS (median 60, range 0–100), indicating worse HRQoL. The six dimensions of the TANDI were tested for internal consistency and reliability and the Cronbach’s α as 0.83. Test-retest results showed no variance for dimension scores of movement and play, and high agreement for pain (83%), relationships (87%), communication (83%) and eating (74%). The scores were highly correlated for the VAS (ICC = 0.76; p < 0.001). Conclusion The TANDI was found to be valid and reliable for use with children aged 1–36 months in South Africa. It is recommended that the TANDI be included in future research to further investigate HRQoL and the impact of interventions in this vulnerable age group. It is further recommended that future testing be done to assess the feasibility, clinical utility, and cross-cultural validity of the measure and to include international input in further development.
