Weather conditions affect both the resistance of apple fruits to physiological disorders during their storage, and the decrease in resilience to them. The damage of the fruits of susceptible apple cultivars by "scald" (browning of the skin) at the end of storage is influenced by weather conditions 30 days before harvesting them. In hot weather During the hot day and warm night, the fruits are more affected by "tan". Losses increase if the sum of the average daily temperatures >+10° C for the month before harvesting exceeds the threshold of 360-380°C. The analysis of the damage to the fruits by “scald "of susceptible new scab-immune columnar apple cultivars of the VNIISPK breeding – Vostorg, Poesia and Priokskoye at the end of their storage in various years (2014, 2016, 2018) showed a close dependence of this disorder on the conditions of humidification of the active growing season a month before harvest, expressed using the indicator of the conditional moisture balance, i.e. Selyaninov hydrothermal coefficient (SHC). The damage to fruits by "sunburn" directly depends on the level of SHC. The dependence is approximated by the second-order parabola equation. The equations for calculating the quantitative losses of apple fruits from "scald" (at the end of storage) under hydrothermal conditions for a month before harvesting are obtained. The correlation relations between the empirically obtained and calculated data are from 0.99 to 1. The tops of the parabolas reflecting the maximum calculated damage of fruits by "scald" at the end of storage in relation to the coordinate axes have maximum peaks – from 11.17 (Priokskoye) to – 15.21-15.24% (for Vostorg and Poesia, respectively) with a SHC corresponding to dry conditions – 0.68; 0.69 and 0.70 (Priokskoye, Poesia and Vostorg, respectively). The higher the SHC, the lower the dependence curve and the damage to the fruits by "scald". The calculated data can be interpolated, and the SHC can be used as one of the predictor indicators that affect the quality of fruits during storage.

The degree of fruit maturity varies from year to year, depending on hydrothermal conditions, and therefore it is impossible to focus only on the calendar dates of harvesting due to their seasonal changes. The keeping capacity and quality of apples have variety specificity and depend, among other factors, on the meteorological conditions of the growing season. The analysis of the quantitative content of ascorbic acid (AA) in the fruits of five new columnar scab immune apple varieties – Vostorg, Zvezda Efira, Poezia, Priokskoye and Sozvezdiye at the beginning and at the end of storage in different years (2012, 2014, 2016, 2018) showed the closest dependence of this parameter on the conditions of humidification of the active growing season (hydro-thermal coefficient (HTC)). The dependence of the AA content in fruits on the hydrothermal coefficient was approximated by the second-order parabola equation. Certain regularity was revealed in the content of AA in fruits depending on HTC. The parabolic curve, reflecting the maximum calculated AA content, increases to maximum values at HTC – 0.85-0.90 at the beginning of fruit storage and 0.79-0.89 at the end of storage. Under droughty conditions, the dependence curve decreases. The comparison of the experimental data with calculated data showed that the correlation relations between them had values from 0.61 to 0.88 at the beginning of storage and 0.40-0.99 at the end. The calculated data can be interpolated, and it makes sense to use HTC as one of the predictor parameters of fruit quality during harvesting and potential keeping capacity of fruits.

In field experience, the influence of two-fold processing of table grape plants was studied by the Gibber-ellin, Zircon and Epin extra growth regulators on the structure of the bunch, yield and saccharinity of berry juice depending on the hydrothermal conditions of the growing season. It was established that the treatment of grape plants of the Great variety by growth regulators allows to reduce the negative influence of adverse ex-ternal factors and increase the productivity and quality of grape berries. Under more humidified conditions, treatment of Epin Extra plants (3.2 ml/l) contributes to an increase in yield by 82%, in dry conditions - Zir-conom (0.6 ml/l) by 1.5 times compared to control. The use of growth regulators contributes to a greater ac-cumulation of sugar in the juice of berries.

The effect of weather conditions and eleven apple rootstocks was studied on the phenol content in fruits. Super-dwarf rootstocks P 61 and P 22 determined the highest content of all phenolic compounds tested. Dwarf rootstocks M.9, P 62 and semi-dwarf M.26 determined lower content of all phenolic compounds tested. The content of (+)-catechin, procyanidin B1 and total procyanidins content in apple fruits depended on rootstock genotype and high variation coefficient of these compounds between rootstocks was established. Rootstocks had a lesser effect on the content of quercitrin, (–)-epicatechin, total catechins, phloridzin and chlorogenic acid. No clear differences were found between super-dwarf, dwarf and semi-dwarf rootstock groups. Conditions during the growing season, yield and fruit weight impacted on the content of bioactive compounds. Less than 10% difference in total phenols between the growing seasons was recorded for M.26 and P 22. The greatest differences were recorded in the fruits from trees grown on M.9, Pure 1 and P 66 rootstocks. Rootstock B.396 determined the most stable content of all compounds analysed, except for procyanidin B1 and B2.

Purpose. Determination of the influence of seed biodisinfectant, stimulator of growth and foliar feeding on the white lupine growth and development in the context of climate change. Methods. Field (to study the interaction of the object of study with biotic and abiotic factors); morphophysiological (for biological control over development of productivity elements at the stages of organogenesis); weight (to establish the indicators parameters of the crop structure elements and determine the grain yield); statistical (statistical processing of the research results). Results. The results of the analysis of the indicators of the average daily air temperature and the amount of precipitation from April to August and their comparison with long-term values are presented. Indicators of height and aboveground mass of white lupine plants in dynamics, depending on the pre-sowing seed treatment, plant growth stimulant and foliar feeding, correlation dependences of these indicators on the hydrothermal conditions of the growing season have been established. Conclusions. The growth and development of white lupine plants depends on the elements of the technology of its cultivation, as well as hydrothermal conditions during the growing season of the crop. The highest plants (83.0 cm) with their maximum weight (143,8 g/plant) were noted in the variant where the seeds of white lupine were treated with БТУ-р bioinoculant simultaneously with the MicoHelp biodisinfectant and foliar feeding of plants with micronutrient fertilizer Trazex at the ІХ stage of organogenesis was carried out. Mathematical models have been developed that confirm the close relationship between the level of height indicators and the aboveground mass of white lupine plants with weather conditions, the critical periods of their influence in the ontogenesis of plants were also determined.

The nutritional value of table beets is determined by a high content of sugars, a peculiar composition of nitrogenous substances. This culture is a source of the natural dye betanin, which has anti-carcinogenic, antibacterial and antiviral effects on the human body. The article presents the results of a study of biochemical qualities of root crops of table beet. Research was conducted in the period 2014–2019 on 6 varieties of beet of table selection of the Poisk Agrо Holding. Widespread samples of domestic and Dutch breeding Bordo 237 (FSCVG) and Pablo F1 (Bejo), zoned in all regions of the Russian Federation, were taken as a standard. Field experiments were performed according to a single methodology on the basis of ARRIVG – branch of FSCVG. The soil of the experimental site belongs to the type of alluvial meadow, medium-loamy, saturated, moisture-intensive. Weather conditions were most favorable for the growth and development of table beet plants during the growing season of 2014–2017. A feature of the weather conditions of 2018-2019 was uneven precipitation, which affected the time of germination of seeds. The lack of moisture during the growing season was compensated by irrigation by sprinkling, maintaining the HB at the level of 80–85%. The largest amount of dry matter accumulates Russian single-seeded variety – 18.4%, which corresponds to the level of the standard Bordeaux 237. High sugar content is characteristic of the Creole variety – 10.7%, and exceeds the standards by 1.8%. Samples that are susceptible to diseases of the leaf rosette during the growing season of the culture-Ethiopian and F1Pablo accumulate less of the pigment betanin. The biochemical qualities of Creole root crops are more associated with its genotype. The accumulation of nitrates in samples is highly susceptible to the conditions of the year. The nitrate content varies more than 10 times depending on the year in the varieties Slavyanka, Russian single-seeded, Creole and Bordo 237. The output of marketable products after 6 months of storage in the studied samples ranged from 49.1 to 91.4%. Excellent preservation at the level of standards – over 85% showed the Russian single-seeded variety.

The article presents the results of studies in 2011-2019. to study the effect of various fertilizer norms, weather conditions on the yield and quality of potato products, soil water regime, photosynthetic activity, payment of 1 kg a.v. fertilizers with a crop increase in the conditions of the Tver region. The experiment is based on sod-podzolic light loamy drained soil with closed drainage. Potatoes were grown in 3 variants: without fertilizers, average norms and high norms. Weather conditions during the years of research (according to G.T. Selyaninov) are divided into groups: excessively humid, moist and arid. The moisture content of the arable layer of the soil under planting of potatoes, according to the gradations of these years, the average vegetation period was 73, 60, 39% of the lowest moisture capacity. A more favorable state of the water-air regime of the soil during the cultivation of potatoes according to the ridge technology during the growing season was formed in excessively wet years, in the wet years the plants experienced a lack of moisture in certain phases, especially during the period from tuberization to ripening. In dry years, plants experienced a large lack of moisture throughout the growing season. On average, according to the experimental variants, a higher potato crop was formed in excessively wet years compared to wet years by 21%, and with dry ones by 68%. The use of fertilizers had a positive effect on the formation of potato crops and depended on weather conditions. A greater effect from the use of fertilizers was noted in excessively wet years, with average rates the yield increased by 32.2 t / ha, at high - by 41.5, in wet - by 10.3 and 14.9, respectively, in dry - by 11.0 and 16.8. The share of weather conditions in crop variability was 23%, fertilizers - 61%.

Over the past two years, decrease in potato yield has been observed in the Moscow region. One of the main reasons is unfavorable weather conditions. To obtain a guaranteed yield, as well as to improve the quality of products, it is necessary to carry out reclamation works, including additional irrigation. Creation of the optimal water - air balance of the plant throughout the entire growing season will increase productivity, and improve the quality of agricultural products. Drip irrigation is the most economical method of irrigation, but its widespread use is hindered by the high proportion of manual labor when installing the drip tape. A mechanized method of laying the drip tape by placing the working equipment on the Grimme GF-75/4 comb former is offered. The existing methods for determining the irrigation rate do not consider the parameters of the humidification circuit, which leads to excessive irrigation and additional losses of irrigation water. The paper offers a method for determining the irrigation rate considering the shape of the humidification circuit and its geometric parameters.

The effect of major weather factors on the quality of hops in Slovenia from 1994 to 2009 is analyzed and discussed. For this purpose, the three main varieties, namely Savinjski golding, Aurora and Bobek were merged into a model variety which we called Virtual. Through assessment of correlation coefficients, we tried to find specific times of the year when the weather conditions affect the alpha-acid content with a view toward prediction. The most significant time periods of weather that influenced the alpha-acid contents of hops during the growing season are identified as attributes of air temperatures calculated during the interval from the 24th to the 31st week (T2431; r = –0.92;P < 0.01), as attributes of rainfall and sunshine duration calculated during the interval from the 25th to the 29th week (R2529; r = 0.83; P < 0.01 and S2529, r = –0.76; P < 0.01), and as attributes of air humidity calculated during the interval from the 28th to the 33rd week (RH2833; r = 0.77; P < 0.01).

Abstract The fruits of new apple cultivars bred by the FSBSI “Federal Scientific Center named after IV Michurin”, adapted to the stressful weather conditions of the Central Black Earth Region of Russia, were used. During storage of control and 1-MCP-treated fruits of 5 studied apple cultivars in air (regular atmosphere: CO2 = 0.03%, O2 = 21%), modified atmosphere (O2 = 16-19%, CO2 = 1.5-5.0%) and controlled atmosphere with ultra-low oxygen content (O2 = 1.2-1.5%, CO2 = 1.2-1.5%), the following main diseases were identified: for cv. Uspenskoye – scald, bitter pit, breakdown; for cv. Fregat - bitter pit, breakdown, CO2-skin injury. Development of several diseases at the same time is also possible (CO2-skin injury + bitter pit, bitter pit + breakdown); for cv. Flagman - scald, bitter pit, breakdown, scald + bitter pit; for cv. Bylina - CO2-skin injury, bitter pit, breakdown, soft scald; for cv. Vympel - CO2-skin injury. Maximum storage efficiency was shown by fruits cv. Vympel stored under CA + 1-MCP technology. Data on the keeping ability of apple fruits of the studied cultivars allow developing high-precision varietal storage technologies.

Aim. To determine a set of sunfl ower pathogens and their variability infl uenced by hydrothermal conditions of the crop growing season. Methods. Over the period of 2007–2016, due to phytosanitary monitoring of breeding crops of the scientifi c crop rotation of the Plant Production Institute named after V.Ya. Yuriev of NAAS, the prevalence degree, development intensity and variability of sunfl ower diseases in the Eastern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine were estimated. The hydrothermal coeffi cient (HTC) is presented for the sunfl ower growing season and by developmental phases of the crop. Results. Phomopsis blight (Phomopsis/Diaporthe helianthi Munt.- Cvet. et al.), gray mold (Botrytis cinerea Pers.), dry rot (Rhizopus sp.), charcoal rot (Sclerotium bataticolaTaub), and downy mildew (Plasmopara helianthi Novot. f. helianthi) were the most common diseases on sunfl ower in the Eastern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine in 2007–2016. The weather conditions of 2007–2016 considerably varied and were characterized by fl uctuations in the hydrothermal coeffi cient (HTC) from 0.57 in 2009 to 1.1 in 2014. Assessing the incidence of the fi ve most common and harmful sunfl ower diseases (dry rot, charcoal rot, gray mold, Phomopsis blight, downy mildew) by cluster analysis for the ten-year study period in relation to the weather conditions of a year, we found that both dry and charcoal rots were co-associated with aridity, while downy mildew and gray mold were frequently promoted by waterlogging during a certain period of sunfl ower development. Unlike the other diseases, Phomopsis blight, being an annual disease, appears to have no clear dependence on any specifi c conditions. Conclusions. Based on the phytosanitary monitoring results of crops in the Eastern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, the sunfl ower phytopathogen complex composition was determined. The prevalence degrees for Phomopsis blight, gray mold, dry rot, charcoal rot, and downy mildew as well as the development intensities of Phomopsis and gray mold were established. The co-incidence of the fi ve most harmful sunfl ower diseases in the Eastern Forest-Steppe of Ukraine (dry rot, charcoal rot, gray mold, Phomopsis blight, downy mildew) was evaluated during the ten-year study period, depending on the weather conditions of a year.
