The purpose of this study is to describe the misconceptions experienced by students in linear combination material. This study is a qualitative descriptive study with a snowball sampling technique by taking 1 subject who experienced misconception in linear combination. The triangulation used in this study is technique triangulation which is a test in the form of description and interview. The result of this study shows that the subject experiences misconception in linear combination which is in the forming process of coefficient matrix. The subject immediately assumes that the coefficients of each polynomial are known as row vectors in coefficient matrix, regardless of its scalar multiplier. This indicates that the subject is too early to resolve linear equation system in which it should be multiplied first by its scalar. Based on this finding, it can be used as an input for development research of textbook whose its teaching material emphasizes certain material, such as linear combination.

This study aims to describe the ability of students to understand the concept of the Three Variable Linear Equation System (SPLTV) based on the APOS theory (Action, Process, Object and Schema) in students of MA Tarbiyatul Mustafid Batu Rimpang. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with 3 students subject taken from MA Tarbiyatul Mustafid Batu Rimpang students with high, medium and low ability categories. The results of the study show that highly capable subjects have an understanding of the stages of action, processes, objects and schemes. Subjects who are capable of having understanding at the stage of action, process, object and at the schematic stage students cannot design and complete the mathematical model they form. While low-ability subjects have an understanding of the stages of action, process, object but have not fully arrived at these stages because the subject made a mistake in the calculation process so that the solution given is wrong. The understanding possessed by students with moderate and low ability is the same at the scheme stage.

The aim of this study is create an analysis media for calculating the electric current in a closed circuit with one or more loops.  Gauss-Jordan, Gauss-Seidel, and Cramer methods were used in this study. This media is packaged into Graphic User Interface (GUI) with matlab language program assisting. In this study, Linear Equation System (SPL) was obtained from kirchhoff current law and kirchhoff voltage law concepts.  Gauss-Seidel method is not always convergent for each formed SPL, because it can only be applied when coefficient matrix A was diagonally dominant. The application of this analysis media made the calculation of closed circuit electric current with one or more loops became accurate and time saving.
