Abstract Like other Eastern Bloc countries, East Germany sought to control even its citizens’ leisure time in the 1960s and 1970s, with the goal of making it useful or at least not subversive to state interests. Certain hobbies, like amateur photography, found support from the state in the form of increased access to equipment and supplies. Other scholarship has shown that sex was a locus of privacy and self-assertion in a society with a high degree of surveillance and state control. Focusing on a previously unanalyzed collection of erotic photographs of men, the article argues, first, that the support for amateur photography makes the state an unwitting participant in the creation and circulation of these illicit images and, second, that the images are an archive of queer men’s self-presentation and critique in a context wherein their existence and affect are transgressive.

Practical relevance: The ability to recognize, diagnose and treat corneal disease is essential for maintaining vision and comfort in feline patients. Being able to correctly identify appropriate techniques for surgical cases is of particular importance for success when performing corneal surgery. Clinical challenges: Many different corneal diseases present with similar clinical signs, and it can be hard to determine the appropriate treatment for individual patients. It is essential for the clinician to understand the indications for corneal surgery, instrumentation needed and microsurgical principles prior to attempting these procedures. The prognosis following surgery and potential complications should be discussed with the client. Audience: This review article aims to assist in decision-making and to provide detailed guidance for primary care clinicians considering referral of cats for corneal surgery. The review outlines common feline corneal diseases and associated surgical therapies performed by veterinary ophthalmologists, highlighting appropriate instrumentation and case selection. Some surgeries are explained in depth for ophthalmologists and residents in training. Equipment: Although some procedures may be performed with common surgical equipment and supplies, most require specialized ophthalmic instrumentation and expertise, which entails significant microsurgical training and practice, as well as financial investment. Most of the procedures require an operating microscope for the best surgical outcomes; however, surgical loupes may be sufficient in some cases. Evidence base: This review article compiles information from many published references on feline corneal diseases and surgeries, complemented by the experience of the authors.

Abstract: Building approaches frequently produce schedules which induce undesired, cost-effective resource variations in the field. Two sorts of situational limitations and resource restrictions occur often with a project manager. The resources for carrying out the tasks are required for a project. These resources comprise the necessary effort, equipment and supplies. The resources in the ideal world are infinite but typically not endless throughout the real world, and the project team needs to level off resource usage. Keywords: Resource, Levelling, Resource moment, Minimum moment method, RRH

This study aims to apply twitter bootstrap in an e-commerce web so that the web display becomes more responsive, that is, it can provide a display according to the device used to access the web. The object of this research is the Putra Reban Store in Kendal which markets local art equipment and supplies, especially masks.

The system development method used in this research is the Scrum method with stages including product backlog, sprint backlog, sprint and working increment. This method was chosen because it can save system development time and can transform a business that is difficult to measure into one that is easy to develop. The system is designed with 2 actors, namely admin and customer. Admin has access rights to manage product data, customer data, and order data, while customers have the right to access product data and make order transactions.
With this developed system, it is easier for Putra Reban Stores to market their products because product descriptions and product availability stocks can be informed more easily and accurately. With complete and accurate product information, it will also be easier for customers to make transactions.

ABSTRACT The emergency use authorization for multiple coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines came at a pivotal time for the USA. In January 2021, the country exceeded 400,000 deaths from COVID-19. The USA aimed to quickly distribute and administer the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, with bright prospects for an additional emergency use authorization for Johnson and Johnson/Janssen’s single-dose vaccine on the horizon. Part of the National Strategy for COVID-19 Response and Pandemic Preparedness was to “mount a safe, effective, comprehensive vaccination campaign” so the administration set a goal to have 100 million fully vaccinated citizens after the first 100 days in office. In order to fuel the rapid administration of vaccines, the Department of Health and Human Services was tasked to stand up new, federally supported Community Vaccination Centers across the country. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was the lead agency entrusted to expedite financial assistance, allocate federal equipment and supplies, and deploy federal personnel to states, tribes, territories, and other eligible applicants for vaccination efforts. Early in the process of staffing sites, FEMA recognized the need to bolster the efforts with active duty military personnel and asked for manning assistance from the Department of Defense. As a result, 222 U.S. Air Force personnel were tasked with supporting the FEMA COVID-19 vaccination operations at NRG stadium, Houston, Texas. This reflection aims to cover the lessons learned and provide meaningful insight for future mass medical operations.

The COVID-19 outbreak has led to shortages of critical medical equipment and supplies, exposing significant flaws in the global supply chain. A number of countries have adopted trade-restrictive measures in response to the domestic challenges posed by COVID-19. This paper analyzes whether the trade-restrictive measures adopted by various countries in response to COVID-19 are legitimate under the current WTO framework and how to reform multilateral rules on such measures to promote global equality in accessing essential supplies and coping with the de-globalization wave. With reference to China’s practice, the paper first examines the compatibility of the trade-restrictive measures induced by COVID-19 with the WTO framework, arguing that export restrictions are likely permissible under WTO rules as long as they are non-discriminatory, temporary, and necessary to achieve a certain degree of domestic protection. However, such measures may ultimately disrupt global supply chains and cause more harm, especially to vulnerable countries. The COVID-19 crisis may even lead to a post-pandemic wave of economic de-Sinicization and de-globalization. The paper further argues that it will be contrary to the globalization trend for countries to implement a policy of supply chain localization in the post-pandemic era. The paper concludes that the best solution for minimizing the losses induced by similar crises in the future is to refer back to the WTO framework and reform the rules pertaining to trade-restrictive measures to promote equitable access to key global supplies.

Preparing for disasters both natural and anthropogenic requires assessment of risk through hazard vulnerability analysis and formulation of facility and critical care–specific disaster plans. Disaster surge conditions often require movement from conventional to contingency or crisis-level operations to meet the needs of the many under our care. Predisaster planning for modification of critical care space, staffing, and supplies is essential to successful execution of operations during a surge. Expansion of intensive care unit beds to nonconventional units such as perioperative areas, general care units, and even external temporary units may be necessary. Creative, tiered staffing models as well as just-in-time education of noncritical care clinicians and support staff are important to multiply capable personnel under surge conditions. Finally, anticipation of demand for key equipment and supplies is essential to maintain stockpiles, establish supply chains, and sustain operations under prolonged disaster scenarios.

This research analyzed Tobacco Processing Products (HPTL) industry and its value of innovation using dimensions of innovation approach. We used qualitative method with interviews, documentation, and observation as the data collection techniques. Later on, we employed several business strategy tools: IFE, EFE, CPM, SFAS, SWOT, SPACE, IE, Grand Strategy, and QSPM. We found out that innovation strategy for tobacco processing products lied on the product innovation, especially in the taste of liquid vape products. Furthermore, by investing in the process innovation, especially in equipment and supplies, is key to develop sustainable product innovation.
