<p class="AbstractText">The fact that most of the students in Junior High School are lack of vocabulary, lazy in reading a long text and low motivation in reading textbooks can be solved by choosing an appropriate method in teaching reading. The aimed of this research was to find out whether the probing-prompting technique was effective for the students' reading achievement. The word “Probing” means research and explore, meanwhile “prompting” means push and guide. In probing-prompting, students are required to answer the question by their own words or sentences. Two groups design was applied, and the participants were eighth students of Junior High School in Tegal. We used reading testing in collecting the data, pre and post-test were conducted. And the data analysis calculated using SPSS program.  Based on data analysis using an independent sample t-test, it was revealed that the t-test was higher than t-table (4.332&gt;1.672). We state a conclusion; the use of probing prompting technique is effective because students who taught using probing-prompting technique perform better achievement on reading.</p><p> </p>

The objective of this study was to investigate whether Group Investigation increased first-grade students’ descriptive writing at Raman Siriwit Junior High School, Thailand. This study is quantitative were pre-test and post-test used to collect the data. The writers applied a t-test to analyze the data. Based on the Equal variance column, in obtained t-count scores is 11.808 by computing table scores n1 + n1-2 = 23 + 23 - 2 = 44, then obtained t-table score is 2.05 and significant score is 0.000. Because the score of t-count is 11.808> t-table 2.05 and the significant score is 0.000 <α = 0.05, so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that the pretest writing score compared to the posttest writing score is different. This means that there are significant differences in writing pretest scores with posttest scores after the Group Investigation method. Group Investigation increased first-grade students’ descriptive writing at Raman Siriwit Junior High School, Thailand.

Small sided-games training is a small-scale field, an appropriate situation developed for young players, so they can learn and develop. Small sided games training is also one of the methods of soccer training using smaller fields with fewer players. This training method  is a fairly effective exercise in physical improvement, techniques and tactics Passing is to feed the ball or pass the ball to a friend, while passing determination is the ability to set goals / pass the ball according to the goal or target. This research is an experimental research conducted with the aim to find out whether or not there is a result of something done on the sample to be studied. The research began with a pretest and ended with a posttest. The number of samples in this study amounted to 20 people. The training given was done during 16 meetings. This research was tested using a statistical analysis of the hipotsis test (t test). Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the small sided games exercise gives a significant effect on the accuracy of passing on extracurricular students at SMP Negeri  1 Muaro Jambi, proven in the pre-test and post-test assessments with an average pre-test = 505 and post-test = 7.65, with the increment difference of 7.65. This can be seen by the T test that is Tcount = 3.492787 ˃ Ttable = 1.72913. Based on the results of research and  calculations from the data and discussions that have been carried out, this research proves that there is an influence of small sided games training on the passing accuracy of extracurricular students at Muaro Jambi State Junior High School. Genetalia hygiene is one of the efforts in personal hygiene that has an important role in the status of one's health behavior, to avoid interference with the reproductive organs.Genetalia hygiene is very important for woman because they tend to have urinary tract infection than man because they have shorter urination track. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of counseling through media video on knowledge and attitudes about female adolescent hygiene genetalia at Dwijendra Junior High School Denpasar. This study uses a comparative analytic method with a one-group pre-test-post-test research design. The sample of this study was 80 and VIII grade students of Dwijendra Junior High School Denpasar with a total of 80 people. The sampling technique in this study is probability sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire of 15 questions for knowledge, 10 questions about attitudes that have been valid and reliable. Data analysis techniques used paired T-Test. The results of the study for the average knowledge pre-test were 70.92 and the post-test knowledge after receiving counseling was 90.58 while the pre-test for attitude was 35.25 da post-test after the counseling was 43.64. Paired T-Test and Wilcoxon test results obtained p value = 0,000 0.05 These results indicate there is a significant influence on counseling through media video on knowledge and attitudes about female adolescent hygiene genetalia. The school is expected to increase health promotion.

This study was conducted to know whether there is a differencein students’ achievement in reading comprehension through the use of computer-based reading method at the eighth-grade students of Junior High School 13 Banjarmasin, Indonesia. The design used is a quasi-experimental with purposive sampling technique. Sixty students of Junior High School 13 Banjarmasin were used as the samples. 8-E was chosen as the experimental group and was taught by using computer-based reading in three meetings, while 8-F was chosen as the control group and was taught without using computer-based reading in three meetings. Three instruments were used to gather the data, they are documentation, observation, and tests. The results showed that both groups gained change in their achievements. From the calculation result, the experimental group got the average score of 53.33 in pre-test and 63.33 in post-test. The control group got average score 47 in pre-test and 49.5 in post-test. After conducting a t-test, it was revealed that the calculated t-value was greater than t-table (3.597 &gt; 2.00) at the significance level 0.05. Thus, there are different achievement between the experimental group and the control group. Therefore, it can be concluded that the proper use of computer-based reading can upgrade students’ reading comprehension ability. It is suggested to teachers to consider the use computer-based reading as the method of teaching reading comprehension.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1.) Keefektifan metode role playing untuk penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewargane-garaan; 2.) Keefektifan metode konvensional untuk penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan; dan 3.) Pembelajaran yang lebih efektif antara kedua metode tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 peserta didik kelas VIII B SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Yogyakarta (kelas eksperimen) dan 30 peserta didik kelas VIII A SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kota Yogyakarta (kelas kontrol), sehingga keseluruhan subjek berjumlah 62 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Uji validitas dengan expert judgement. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan uji MANOVA. Hasil analisis data dengan uji MANOVA menunjukkan bahwa: 1.) Metode role playing efektif untuk penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dengan melihat kelompok eksperimen sebelum percobaan, nilai T untuk prestasi 2,731 sig 0.005, nilai-nilai Pancasila T 6,069 sig 0,000; 2.) Metode konvensional efektif untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai Pancasilal, nilai prestasi T 0,045 sig 0,482, nilai-nilai Pancasila T 4,12 sig 0.000; dan 3.) metode role playing lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional untuk penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan setelah melakukan pengujian dengan value 1,020, F 30.089, dan sig 0,000.AbstractThe research aims to describe: 1.) The effectiveness of the role playing method in inculcating the values of Pancasila in civic education teaching; 2.) The effectiveness of the conventional method in inculcating the values of Pancasila in civic education teaching; and 3.) The more effective one between the two methods. This research is quasi experiment. The subject of this reserch is 32 grade VIII B students of Junior High School 3 Muhammadiyah in Yogyakarta City (the experimental class) and 30 grade VIII A students of Junior High School 4 Muhammadiyah in Yogyakarta City (the control class). So that the whole subject amounted to 62 students. The instrument of data collection was aquestionnaire and tests. The expert judgemen was used to reveal the validity of the instruments. The data analysis used the descriptive analysis and Multivariate Analysis of Variance. The result of the data analysis based on MANOVA test shows that: 1.) The role playing method is effective to inculcate the values of Pancasila in civic education teaching in the experimental class before the treatment with the score of t-test for students’ achievement being 2.731 at the significance level of 0.005, for Pancasila 6.069 at the significance level of 0.000; 2.) The application of the conventional method is effective in inculcating the values of Pancasila in civic education teaching in which the score of t-test of students’ achievment was 0.045 at the significance level of 4.82 and for Pancasila was 4.12 at the significance level of 0.000; 3.) the application of the role playing method is more effective than the conventional method to inculcate the values of Pancasila in civic education teaching after the last was done, in which the score was 1.020, F was 30.089 at the significance level of 0.000.

Less optimal learning at the junior high school level, especially in science subjects, in South Solok District, especially in natural science subjects can be seen from the results of the 2016 UN ranking which is ranked 16 of the 19 cities / districts in West Sumatra. This happens, because the competence of teachers in designing and implementing contextual learning based on the scientific approach is still low. This community partnership program aims to improve pedagogic competence of science teachers in South Solok District Junior High School through mentoring in designing contextual learning based on the scientific approach and implementing it in the classroom. The method used consists of orientation and discussion stages, implementation preparation stages, implementation stages by providing assistance in designing contextual learning with a scientific approach (such as preparing RPP, Multimedia, and guidance for teachers) and assisting teachers in implementing contextual learning with a scientific approach , the monitoring and evaluation phase and the last stage of data analysis and report preparation. Data collection instruments used are questionnaire sheets to assess the implementation of activities and padegogic ability tests. The data analysis used was paired t test. Based on data analysis results of pretest and posttest, obtained an increase in the average value from 14.17 to 20.35, with an interval of values ​​from 0 to 30. So the average value, posttest is higher than the pretest value. From the t test also obtained a significance result of 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there are significant differences between the results of the pretest and posttest. Furthermore, based on the questionnaire given at the end of the training activity, the results showed that the participants stated that this activity was very useful and related to the subjects taught at school.

This study aims to identify the effects of gender on genre preferences (narrative, recount, descriptive, report and procedure) and reading achievement, and also to analyze the correlation between genre preference and reading achievement. The sample of this study was 30 students of Junior High School 15 Mataram. To gather the data, a closed questionnaire was given to collect students’ genre preferences; reading test was given to get students’ score in reading; and the open questionnaire was given to collect the factors that affect students’ reading interest and achievement. The data were analyzed by using Regression analysis test. The result of the analysis indicates that there is significant effect of gender on genre preference. It is evidenced by the result of f-test and t-test, where the value of fcount is higher than ftable (4.435 > 3.354) and the value of tcount is higher than ttable (2.106>1.699). Meanwhile, there is no significant effect of gender on students’ reading achievement. It is evidenced by the result of f-test and t-test. The value of fcount is lower than ftable (0.000<3.354) and the value of the tcount is lower than ttable (0.57 < 1.699). Furthermore, the result of Partial Correlation showed that there is no significant correlation between genre preference and reading achievement. It proofed by the result of probability value that higher than significant level (0.232 > 0.05) and the result of reading test presents that both genders were fail on genre that they prefer in.

This study aims to find out whether the use of Round Robin Technique can improve the speaking skill of junior high school students. This research was conducted in one class and applied the pre-experimental design that was one group pre-test and post-test design. There were four meetings in this research including pre-test and post-tests. The sample is students in one class that consisted of 32 students, with 15 females and 17 males. The instruments used to obtain the data were pre-test and post-test. The mean of the student speaking score of the pre-test was 43.71 and the mean of the post-test was 79.2. The improvement from pre-test to the post-test was 35.49 points. The average score of the students was 79.2, it was higher than the Criteria Mastery of Learning (or KKM, Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal) of a junior high school in Banda Aceh, which is 70.00. The result of this study can be shown in the t-test that there was an improvement of students’ speaking skill, with the t-test of 25.3, the degree of freedom is 31 and t-table is 1.696. Based on the result of the test, it can be concluded that the use of Round Robin Technique improved the students’ speaking skills. This technique offered the students’ chances to share ideas and opinion with their peers, speak up and express their argument in class.

This study aims to test the effectiveness of rational emotive behavior to reduce the saturation of junior high school students. This research uses pre experimental pre-test type post test one group design. The data analysis used is paired sample test T-test. at a significant level α = 0.05 (95%) then obtained t-table. = 1.812, assuming if t count> t-table then Ha "received" The results of data analysis of the respondents 'responses about students' learning saturation showed that the saturation of student learning before permberian counseling rational emotive behavior is in the category of being, and there is still a high category that is 11 respondents. As for after the treatment, based on the post test results indicate the criteria of saturation of learning students no one is in the high category. From the test results using T-Test proved that the counseling rational emotive behavior effective to reduce the saturation of students' learning junior high school.

The research is motivated by the problem of independence learning class VII of State Junior High School 7 Serang City in academic year 2019/2020. The purpose of the research was to determine the descriptions of student learning independence and the influence of classical guidance with techniques STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) in increasing student learning independence. The research type used in the study was pre-experimental design with one group pre-post test design, with a population of class VII there were 193 students and a sample of 40 students selected by purposive sampling technique. The data collection method uses a questionnaire of students' learning independence which has been tested the content validity and has 34 items from 44 valid items. The results of the study found that there were very high categories of 3 students with 1%  percentage, a high category of 67 students with 35%  percentage, a midle category of 83 students with 43% percentage, and a low category of 40 students with 21% percentage. Data analysis techniques using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the pretest and posttest data analysis of learning independence, obtained z count -5,512b z table 820.00, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, it’s mean that it can improve independence learning after given a classical guidance service with technique STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) to students class VII of State Junior High School 7 Serang City.
