Less optimal learning at the junior high school level, especially in science subjects, in South Solok District, especially in natural science subjects can be seen from the results of the 2016 UN ranking which is ranked 16 of the 19 cities / districts in West Sumatra. This happens, because the competence of teachers in designing and implementing contextual learning based on the scientific approach is still low. This community partnership program aims to improve pedagogic competence of science teachers in South Solok District Junior High School through mentoring in designing contextual learning based on the scientific approach and implementing it in the classroom. The method used consists of orientation and discussion stages, implementation preparation stages, implementation stages by providing assistance in designing contextual learning with a scientific approach (such as preparing RPP, Multimedia, and guidance for teachers) and assisting teachers in implementing contextual learning with a scientific approach , the monitoring and evaluation phase and the last stage of data analysis and report preparation. Data collection instruments used are questionnaire sheets to assess the implementation of activities and padegogic ability tests. The data analysis used was paired t test. Based on data analysis results of pretest and posttest, obtained an increase in the average value from 14.17 to 20.35, with an interval of values ​​from 0 to 30. So the average value, posttest is higher than the pretest value. From the t test also obtained a significance result of 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that there are significant differences between the results of the pretest and posttest. Furthermore, based on the questionnaire given at the end of the training activity, the results showed that the participants stated that this activity was very useful and related to the subjects taught at school.

Based on observation result, study documentation of interview and questionnaire that was given to the students, problems found, the teaching skills of junior high school science teachersat STOof Ogan Ilir regency inapplying scientific approach had been still low, this research was conducted with the aim to investigate whether STO activity ofOgan Ilir regency could improve the teaching skills of junior high school science teachers in Ogan Ilir regency in implementing the scientific approach. The methodology used in this research is action research which was conducted for three cycles. Each cycle consists of, planning, execution, observation, evaluation and reflection. The result showed that the teaching skill of junior high school science teachers in applying scientific approachhad improved significantly from the first cycle to the second cycle, and from the second cycle to the third cycle. Increasing of teaching skills of science teacher in applying scientific approach was the effect of STO activity.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis CTL pada materi pokok cahaya dan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan perangkat pembelajaran tersebut terhadap prestasi belajar fisika siswa kelas VIII. Penelitian ini adalah Quasi eksperimental dengan menggunakan metode penelitian R&D. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kuripan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikan 5%. Rata-rata nilai N-Gain diperoleh melalui data posttest dan pretest. Hasil peneilitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis CTL yang telah dikembangkan pada materi pokok cahaya berpengaruh terhadap peningkatkan prestasi belajar fisika siswa kelas VIII. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Perangkat Pembelajaran Berbasis CTL, Prestasi Belajar.Abstract. The aims of this research is to develop CTL based instructional instrument on light concept  and to know the effect of CTL based instructional instrument’s application to increase eighth years student physics achievement. The design is a quasi-experimental research and used R&D method. Research subject was eighth years students at Junior High School 1 Kuripan. Data were analyzed using t test at significant level 5%. The average value of N-Gain obtained through pretest and posttest data. Background: Indonesia is a tropical country rich in various vegetables and fruits which are necessary for health because they contain lots of vitamins, minerals and fibers. However, Indonesian children and teenagers do not often pay attention to balanced nutrition, particularly vegetables and fruits. They even tend to choose fast food which may lead to occurrence of obesity. Prevalence of obesity among teenagers becomes an important issue because it persists to adulthood. Impact of obesity is a threat to public health and needs serious attention. Considering the important role of vegetables and fruits for health especially among obese teenagers, awareness on the necessity of consuming those needs to be made and built through nutrition counseling.Objective: The objective of the study was to identify the effects of counseling on the advantages of vegetables and fruits consumption to nutrient intake (energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate and fiber) among obese teenage students of junior high school at Palembang Municipality.Method: The study was quantitative with quasi experimental design. Subject of the study were obese teenage students of junior high school at Palembang Municipality aged 12 – 15 years old. There were 72 respondents of intervention group and 72 respondents of control group. Samples were taken using non random sampling technique. T-test was used to find out effects of counseling to consumption of vegetables and fruits and nutrient intake before and after intervention.Result: Delta average value of fruit consumption and nutrient intake (energy, fat, carbohydrate, and fiber) based on t-test analysis showed significant difference in both groups with p<0.05. Meanwhile, delta average value of vegetable consumption and nutrient intake (protein) did not show significant relationship (p>0.05).Conclusion: Counseling on the advantages of vegetables and fruits affect consumption of fruits and nutrient intake (energy, fat, carbohydrate and fiber).

This study aims to develop a geometry module based on ethnomathematics with a scientific approach, test the module's validity and feasibility, and determine the effect of using modules in learning on students' metacognitive abilities. This study uses a research and development (R&D) approach with a 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The research subjects were students of 8rd Junior High School in Malang. Data analysis of the effect of the use of modules on metacognition abilities using the paired sample t-test. The research results showed the ethnomathematics based geomery module with a scientific approach is valid, developed by with a 4D model. The module is also categorized as effective for use in learning activities. The ethnomathematics based geometry modules with a scientific approach has an effect on metacognition abilities.

This study explored the use of concept cartoons to enhance the performance of Junior High School pupils in selected science concepts by using pre and post intervention test. Sample comprised 37 Junior High School pupils and one science teacher in Abelemkpe Junior High School in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. Concept cartoons are instructional tools designed to generate scientific thinking among learners. Adapted to the 5E instructional model, they can be used at any stage of the learning process to facilitate effective learning of scientific concepts. Completed tests based on five selected science concepts were analyzed using the t-test inferential statistics to establish any significance difference between respondents’ mean scores of the pre and post intervention data. Results revealed that the use of concept cartoons to teach the selected science concepts enhanced the pupils’ cognitive achievement. The concept cartoons affected learners’ academic achievement in positive ways. The pupils were able to construct their own knowledge and made meaning of their everyday experiences. Results of the t-test (t (36)=8.41, p=.000), (t (36)=9.38, p=.000), (t(36)=4.85, p=.000), (t(36)=10.58, p=.000) and (t(36)=11.85, p=.000) indicated a significant difference between the mean scores of the pretest and posttest. This implied that the use of concept cartoon had a positive effect on the cognitive achievement of pupils. It is therefore, recommended that JHS integrated science teachers adopt the use of concept cartoons to teach science effectively and to increase the pupils’ motivation to learn science.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: 1.) Keefektifan metode role playing untuk penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewargane-garaan; 2.) Keefektifan metode konvensional untuk penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan; dan 3.) Pembelajaran yang lebih efektif antara kedua metode tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 peserta didik kelas VIII B SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Kota Yogyakarta (kelas eksperimen) dan 30 peserta didik kelas VIII A SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Kota Yogyakarta (kelas kontrol), sehingga keseluruhan subjek berjumlah 62 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Uji validitas dengan expert judgement. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan uji MANOVA. Hasil analisis data dengan uji MANOVA menunjukkan bahwa: 1.) Metode role playing efektif untuk penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dengan melihat kelompok eksperimen sebelum percobaan, nilai T untuk prestasi 2,731 sig 0.005, nilai-nilai Pancasila T 6,069 sig 0,000; 2.) Metode konvensional efektif untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai Pancasilal, nilai prestasi T 0,045 sig 0,482, nilai-nilai Pancasila T 4,12 sig 0.000; dan 3.) metode role playing lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan metode konvensional untuk penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan setelah melakukan pengujian dengan value 1,020, F 30.089, dan sig 0,000.AbstractThe research aims to describe: 1.) The effectiveness of the role playing method in inculcating the values of Pancasila in civic education teaching; 2.) The effectiveness of the conventional method in inculcating the values of Pancasila in civic education teaching; and 3.) The more effective one between the two methods. This research is quasi experiment. The subject of this reserch is 32 grade VIII B students of Junior High School 3 Muhammadiyah in Yogyakarta City (the experimental class) and 30 grade VIII A students of Junior High School 4 Muhammadiyah in Yogyakarta City (the control class). So that the whole subject amounted to 62 students. The instrument of data collection was aquestionnaire and tests. The expert judgemen was used to reveal the validity of the instruments. The data analysis used the descriptive analysis and Multivariate Analysis of Variance. The result of the data analysis based on MANOVA test shows that: 1.) The role playing method is effective to inculcate the values of Pancasila in civic education teaching in the experimental class before the treatment with the score of t-test for students’ achievement being 2.731 at the significance level of 0.005, for Pancasila 6.069 at the significance level of 0.000; 2.) The application of the conventional method is effective in inculcating the values of Pancasila in civic education teaching in which the score of t-test of students’ achievment was 0.045 at the significance level of 4.82 and for Pancasila was 4.12 at the significance level of 0.000; 3.) the application of the role playing method is more effective than the conventional method to inculcate the values of Pancasila in civic education teaching after the last was done, in which the score was 1.020, F was 30.089 at the significance level of 0.000.

This research is based on the problems by science teachers, namely the daily test scores of students, more than 50% of students get scores below the minimum completeness criteria. The purpose of this study is (1) to reveal the presence or absence of differences in learning outcomes between students who are taught using a cooperative learning model type Group Investigation (GI) with students who are taught using conventional learning models, (2) reveal the presence or absence of scientific attitude differences, among students who are taught to use a cooperative learning model type of Group Investigation (GI) with students who are taught using conventional learning models. This research is an experimental study with the research Static Group Comparison Design. The subjects in this study were 8th grade students of the 11th Junior High School in Padang 2018/2019 in 64 students. The research instrument used was in the form of posttest for knowledge competencies, observation sheets for attitude and skills competencies.The hypothesis in this study was tested using the t ^ test. The results of the t-test are known that in the competency of knowledge t count 2.18> t table 2.04, the competency attitude t count 3.36> t table 2.04, while the competency skills t count 1.40 <t table. This shows that the hypothesis is accepted for knowledge and attitude competencies. So it can be concluded that the application of the Group Investigation learning model can improve student learning competencies in the material of Excretion Systems at Padang 11 Public Middle School with a confidence level of 0.975

Adolescence need adequate energy intake to support their physical and psychology development, one of them was obtained for snack consumtion in school. Election of food snacks was influenced by student knowledge. There are 30% students who have bad knowlegde. Aim of this research is for knowing effect nutritional education using video media for student knowledge of snack selection in Muhammadiyah 10 Surakarta Junior High School. This research using quasy eksperiment design with one grup pretest-posttest. Taking of sample using proportionate random sampling with total sample are 44 students. In this research using video media. Data analysis using Kolmogorov smirnov and Paired sample T-Test. Based on data analysis using Paired sample T-Test got result p = 0.000 it shows p&lt; 0.005 so H0 is refused it means there is any effect after giving nutrition education using video media. Mean score of students after giving nutrition education increase from 75,6 become 87. The conclusion is any effect nutrition education using video media for student knowledge in Muhammadiyah 10 Surakarta Junior High School.

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of a model of learning math realistic against the problem solving math students of the material himpunan seven grade class in Junior High School 1 Driyorejo. The method was used experiment with research design the posttest-only control design. The population of this study were seven grade students at Junior High School 1 Driyorejo, where as the sample was seven grade J as experiment class and seven G as control class. The instrument test which is given in this research consisted of 5 quations of esay typed. Data analysis using t-test of both groups obtained ttest of 2,42, while ttable of 2,0017. Because 2,42 > 2,0017 so   >  , is appropriate with hypothesis which is submitted in this research H0 is refused that meant there is influence of a model of learning math realistic against the problem solving math students of the material himpunan seven grade class in Junior High School 1 Driyorejo. This study aims to determine the implementation of curriculum 2013 on subjects integrated Social Science in Malang 1 Islamic Public Junior High School. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Collecting data has done through observation, interview and documentation study. The results showed that in general the implementation of Curriculum 2013 on Social Science subjects in Malang 1 Islamic Public Junior High School using an integrated scientific approach. Social Science teachers are still experiencing some obstacles and adjust to the real conditions in the field. This is evidenced in implementing learning Social Science teachers already using a scientific approach, but most of the integrated Social Science only occurs in the classroom so do not provide concrete learning experiences for students.
