<p><i>In this modern interconnected world, states are relying on each other for their national interests in terms of economy and defense assistance. China and India are also relying on each other for their national and regional interests despite having border issues. In this research, China and Indian partnership have been view under the theoretical framework of the ‘theory of liberalism’ which highlights state relations to meet their national interests by using a descriptive research method. Also, explore the implications of external factors on the state relations, and their setbacks affect their relations under such circumstances how they will balance their relations, and gain maximum benefit from it.</i></p>

Fostering a teaching and learning ecosystem is vital in the 21st century teaching and learning process to determine student's positive impact on social academic outcomes. This paper proposed a teaching and learning ecosystem for Gen-Z students and the researchers developed RICES concept and Fish approach to support their ecosystem. This study will investigate and explore the implementation of RICES (Relationship & Role, Introduction, Communication, Educate and Structure) strategy to build and foster the teaching and learning ecosystem. The ecosystem will ensure educating this generation will be more holistic whilst enabling the learning-centred approach to be effectively used. The paper is concluded with the approach and impact of RICES. A descriptive research method was conducted with the tertiary students. The result revealed that RICES strategy shows a significant relationship among of each element.

AbstractThis study aims to describe the teachers’ abilities and obstacles in making HOTS questions in the thematic learning of social studies for class V at MI Jombor, Semarang. This study used a descriptive research method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study concluded that: (1) the teachers did not have good understanding and ability in making HOTS questions of the thematic learning of social studies, and (2) MI Jombor had not been able to apply the curriculum 2013, which was oriented to HOTS learning and the teachers still had problems in making HOTS questions in the thematic learning of social studies. These findings need the teachers’ concern. In other words, 21st-century learning requires teachers to continuously improve their innovation and creativity in making quality evaluation questions for their students.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan dan kendala guru dalam pembuatan soal HOTS pada pembelajaran tematik muatan IPS kelas V di MI Jombor, Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa (1) guru belum mempunyai pemahaman dan kemampuan yang baik dalam pembuatan soal HOTS pada pembelajaran tematik muatan IPS, dan (2) MI Jombor belum mampu menerapkan kurikulum 2013 yang berorientasi pada pembelajaran HOTS dan guru masih mengalami kendala dalam pembuatan soal HOTS pada pembelajaran tematik muatan IPS. Hal ini menjadi catatan yang perlu diperhatikan oleh guru. Dengan kata lain, pembelajaran abad 21 menghendaki guru untuk selalu meningkatkan inovasi dan kreativitasnya dalam membuat soal evaluasi yang berkualitas bagi siswanya.

This study aims to determine the dominant factors that cause learning difficulties of students in participating in the Islamic Education (PAI) program at students of grade XI and XII at Laksamana Martadinata High School, Medan, North Sumatra. The research method used is descriptive research. This research was conducted in January to February 2020. 236 students of class XI and XII of Laksamana Martadinata Senior High School in Medan, North Sumatra were sampled in this study. Data collection techniques used in this study were by giving a questionnaire to the factors of student learning difficulties in following the Islamic Education subjects. The results showed that the internal factors causing the highest learning difficulties were health indicators with 70.68% and the external factors causing the highest learning difficulties were family indicators with 55.01%.

The article analyses the US influence on Israeli policy towards both China and India. The United States has had and still has a significant influence on the dynamics of Israeli-Chinese and Israeli-Indian relations. The relevance of the issue stems from the growing importance of China and India in the world affairs amid rising tensions between the US and China that are spilling into a trade war. The article aims to explore the US influence on Israels policy in Asia. It examines the way how the Israeli leadership has adapted to Washingtons influence while promoting its strategic cooperation with China and India. The study comprises historical method, comparative analysis and historical-systematic analysis. The author comes to the following conclusions. First, Washingtons influence on Sino-Israeli relations has gone through five development stages: the first stage (1971-1989): implicit US support for the development of Sino-Israeli relations; the second stage (1990-1998): American criticism of military and technical cooperation between Israel and China; the third stage (1999-2005): Washingtons shift from criticism to pressure policy in order to prevent the Israeli leadership from military cooperation with China; the fourth stage (2006-2016): Israels acceptance of US demands and refusal to supply arms to Beijing (with Tel Aviv focusing on the development of trade and economic relations with China); the fifth stage (2017 - present): U.S. criticism of Israeli-Chinese economic cooperation amid worsening contacts between Beijing and Washington. The Israeli government is trying to meet Washingtons demands as well as preserve its strategic economic relations with Beijing. Second, the US factor, on the contrary, contributed to normalization of Indian-Israeli relations, having a positive impact on the development of trade, economic and military cooperation between Tel Aviv and New Delhi. Third, the US actions can be explained by an attempt to preserve its national interests. At the same time, the author stresses that the US influence on Israels policy in Asia complies with Washingtons regional priorities set forth in the 2017 US National Security Strategy.

The author examines strategic priorities and establishes the competitive advantages of the Kuzbass region, which make it possible to increase the quality of life for the local people in the region, and at the same time to perform an efficient implementation of both regional and national interests located within the Kemerovo region. Using Dr. Vladimir L. Kvint’s theory of strategy and methodology of strategizing, the author analyzes the strategic framework and priorities of the region’s development through the year 2035 and beyond. The basic priorities which conform to the national and regional interests of the region, are a decent quality of life for the Kuzbass people, maintaining ecological, economic and financial security, diversification of the economy, maintenance of the life-sustaining water supply and drainage system, expansion and intensification of foreign economic relations as a result of the development of new industries in the region, as well as the transformation of the Kuzbass region into the transport center and hub of Siberia; the development of international cooperation and cross-border cultural and tourist links, transformation of educational and scientific potential of the region in accordance with its development priorities. In addition, the author studies the influence of digitalization as a global trend on the opportunities for the development of productive forces in the Kuzbass region.

Nigeria foreign policy in the 21st century has attracted a great deal of attention, as the dynamics on the world stage and domestic realities continue to impose challenges for the citizens. While many countries have appreciated the new realities of world politics and have however adjusted to the new global situations, Nigeria is yet to adjust her foreign policy with domestic realities. Thus, the study explores Nigeria’s Africa centeredness’ policy with the view to ascertain its relevance or otherwise in the 21st century. Descriptive research method with explanatory variant are used. Findings show that, for as long as the objective of Nigeria’s foreign policy is to ensure protection of black and African interest, Nigeria cannot but find it necessary to offer solidarity with African states. However, because very little has happened to show that she has made so much sacrifice in African affairs, the study recommends amongst others that the scope of Nigeria’s reciprocity should be restricted to issues that are more apparently in consonance with her national interest.

Tujuan dari peneliti ini yaitu untuk mengetahui (1) karakteristik kecerdasan emosional remaja di RPSAA Ciumbuleuit Bandung; (2) pola bimbingan orang tua asuh dalam menumbuhkan kecerdasan emosional remaja di RPSAA Ciumbuleuit Bandung; (3) hasil pola bimbingan orang tua asuh dalam menumbuhkan kecerdasan emosional remaja di RPSAA Ciumbuleuit Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif, pemilihan subjek dan informan dengan cara acak dan teknik pengumpulan datanya melalui observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara terhadap enam orang anak asuh dan tiga orang tua asuh. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa anak sebelum memperoleh pengasuhan dari orang tua asuh di RPSAA memiliki karakteristik kecerdasan emosional rendah. Pola pengasuhan yang diterapkan di RPSAA kepada anak asuh adalah pola asuh demokratis. Sedangkan hasil pengasuhan dalam menumbuhkan kecerdasan emosional remaja di RPSAA Ciumbuleuit Bandung menyimpulkan bahwa anak asuh usia remaja telah memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang cukup baik, yaitu terlihat dari bagaimana cara mereka mampu mengendalikan segala perasaan yang pada dirinya, meskipun ada remaja yang belum sepenuhnya memenuhi aspek kecerdasan emosional.   The goal of these researchers is to figure out (1) characteristics of the emotional intelligence of teenagers in RPSAA Ciumbuleuit Bandung; (2) foster parents guidance pattern in fostering emotional intelligence RPSAA Ciumbuleuit Bandung in adolescents; (3) results foster parents guidance pattern in fostering emotional intelligence RPSAA Ciumbuleuit Bandung in teens. This research used the qualitative approach with descriptive research method, the selection of subjects and informants by means of random and data gathering techniques through observation, interview and documentation against six people and three foster care parents foster care. The research results obtained by researchers concluded that child before obtaining care of foster parents in RPSAA has the characteristic of low emotional intelligence. Parenting patterns are applied in the RPSAA to foster care parenting is democratic. While parenting results in fostering emotional intelligence RPSAA Ciumbuleuit Bandung teenager in concluding that foster care teens have had a pretty good emotional intelligence, that is visible from how they are able to control all the feelings on him, even though there are teenagers who do not yet fully meet aspects of emotional intelligence.

Leadership style is important in an organization, if a leader can adapt his leadership style to the existing situations and conditions, it can affect the performance of his subordinates. In Tanggamus Regency currently led by a woman leader, namely Dewi Handajani, different from previous periods in this period the first time Tanggamus Regency was led by a woman. Therefore, this study aims to determine the leadership style of Tanggamus Regency regional leaders and whether this leadership style affects the performance of employees in Tanggamus Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive research method with a qualitative approach, data collection is done using interview and documentation techniques. The results showed that the leadership style used by the local leaders of Tanggamus Regency, namely the feminine leadership style tends to be transformational and the style applied is able to influence the improvement of employee performance in Tanggamus Regency.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kemampuan guru SMA dalam membuat silabus dan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) berbasis problem based learning (PBL) yang merujuk pada Permendikbud Nomor 22, Tahun 2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah SMA YPKKP Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru dalam membuat silabus dan RPP berbasis PBL yang mengacu pada Permendikbud Nomor 22, Tahun 2016 menunjukkan bahwa membuat penilaian merupakan komponen yang paling kecil persentasenya sebesar 46%. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru yang belum optimal maka perlu dikembangkan model supervisi akademik dalam membuat silabus dan RPP berbasis PBL yang mengacu pada Permendikbud Nomor 22, Tahun 2016. Simpulannya model supervisi akademik yang digunakan harus dapat menumbuhkan learning community dan pemberdayaan supervisi teman sejawat.  ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze the ability of high school teachers in making syllabus and Learning Implementation Plan (LIP) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) which refers to Permendikbud Number 22, 2016. The research method used is descriptive research. The results showed that the profile of the teacher’s ability to make PBL-based syllabus and RPP which refers to Permendikbud Number 22, 2016 shows that the component in making assessment with the smallest percentage of 46%. In improving teacher capacity that is not optimal, it is necessary to develop an academic supervision model in making syllabus and LIP based on PBL that refers to Permendikbud Number 22, 2016. The conclusion is that the academic supervision model used must be able to foster learning community and support peer supervision.
