Fostering a teaching and learning ecosystem is vital in the 21st century teaching and learning process to determine student's positive impact on social academic outcomes. This paper proposed a teaching and learning ecosystem for Gen-Z students and the researchers developed RICES concept and Fish approach to support their ecosystem. This study will investigate and explore the implementation of RICES (Relationship & Role, Introduction, Communication, Educate and Structure) strategy to build and foster the teaching and learning ecosystem. The ecosystem will ensure educating this generation will be more holistic whilst enabling the learning-centred approach to be effectively used. The paper is concluded with the approach and impact of RICES. A descriptive research method was conducted with the tertiary students. The result revealed that RICES strategy shows a significant relationship among of each element.

Ministry of Education in Malaysia has urged the implementation of 21st-century learning starting from 2014 to fulfil the needs of education in Malaysia. The use of gadgets in learning is normal in this century but to some rural schools in Malaysia. This study was conducted to identify the teachers’ perception towards play-based learning using gadgets in rural preschool in the Kapit Division of Sarawak. This study focused on 3 important aspects which are the usage of gadgets and their effects in teaching and learning, and the challenges faced by the preschool teachers in using gadgets during their teaching and learning process. The samples of this descriptive research involved 40 teachers from Song and Kapit districts in Sarawak. The research instrument used for this study was a structured questionnaire which consisted of 10 items using five points Likert scale. The reliability coefficient value of Alpha Cronbach is 0.65. The data was analysed using SPSS to get the frequency and percentage values. It showed that preschool teachers have positive perceptions towards play-based learning using gadgets in preschools. Despite that, using gadgets in play-based learning has some cons such as students’ unfamiliarity with using gadgets and poor internet coverage in rural areas. This study enables preschool teachers to vary their teaching methods and approaches to ensure their students have an equal education as those who are in the urban area.

AbstractThis study aims to describe the teachers’ abilities and obstacles in making HOTS questions in the thematic learning of social studies for class V at MI Jombor, Semarang. This study used a descriptive research method with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study concluded that: (1) the teachers did not have good understanding and ability in making HOTS questions of the thematic learning of social studies, and (2) MI Jombor had not been able to apply the curriculum 2013, which was oriented to HOTS learning and the teachers still had problems in making HOTS questions in the thematic learning of social studies. These findings need the teachers’ concern. In other words, 21st-century learning requires teachers to continuously improve their innovation and creativity in making quality evaluation questions for their students.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan dan kendala guru dalam pembuatan soal HOTS pada pembelajaran tematik muatan IPS kelas V di MI Jombor, Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa (1) guru belum mempunyai pemahaman dan kemampuan yang baik dalam pembuatan soal HOTS pada pembelajaran tematik muatan IPS, dan (2) MI Jombor belum mampu menerapkan kurikulum 2013 yang berorientasi pada pembelajaran HOTS dan guru masih mengalami kendala dalam pembuatan soal HOTS pada pembelajaran tematik muatan IPS. Hal ini menjadi catatan yang perlu diperhatikan oleh guru. Dengan kata lain, pembelajaran abad 21 menghendaki guru untuk selalu meningkatkan inovasi dan kreativitasnya dalam membuat soal evaluasi yang berkualitas bagi siswanya.

The purpose of this research is to know how the method of teaching, and infrastructure facilities of Physical Education of Sport and Health at State Elementary School 23 5 East Koto Padang Pariaman Regency. His research method descriptive research finds that the implementation of teaching and learning process of physical education practice in health and elementary school Country 23 V Koto Timur Padang Pariaman District is as follows: in terms of teaching methods with demonstration indicators have the average number of answers 80 times 50 percent with medium criteria and lecture indicator has the average number of answers 136 times 60.71 percent. For facilities and infrastructure with sports equipment indicator have average percentage of student answer 130 times 50.78 percent with medium criterion. From the above results can be concluded that the implementation of teaching and learning process physical exercise and health education in Public Elementary School 23 5 East Koto Padang Pariaman Regency is inthecategory of being. <em>Utilizing technology, especially the internet to support the teaching and learning process, is what happened in the 21st century. E-learning is one of the learning innovations in the network that allows users to access material or collect assignments online. The benefits of e-learning are so numerous and can help lectures, users can access anywhere without being limited by space and time. The method used is descriptive research, which in its implementation consists of data collection, analysis and interpretation of the meaning of the data obtained. . This study aims to determine the level of usability or usability that exists on the e-leraning website of UIN WALISONGO Saintek Faculty, whether the system has been made that meets the usability criteria or not, in terms of Learnability, Efficiency, Memorability, Errors, and Satisfaction. After conducting research, the authors obtain data that e-learning meets usability criteria seen from the data in the field that is the result of the survey. So, Walisongo e-learning can be used as a support for learning effectively and efficiently.</em>

In the 21st century era, technology has influenced on many aspects of life includes education. Thus, lecturers are demanded to apply it in teaching and learning process because it can help lecturers deliver the material in attractive ways to trigger the students’ enthusiasm. There were still fewer technology usage in teaching and learning in speaking class as the researchers did a preliminary study (questionnaire) in Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). The preliminary study showed that 63% students said their lecturer never uses multimedia-based medium in teaching speaking, yet 89% students thought the usage in classroom was important. Answering the students’ need, the researchers want to use a multimedia-based medium, Ethnic Snake Game, in speaking class for Electrical Engineering students in UMM. Thus, this research belongs to descriptive research. In using this multimedia-based medium, the lecturer and students showed positive responds.

The 21st century learning science paradigm is not simply recite facts and understanding the concept but should be able to explain how to build skills to solve problems together. The purpose of this research is to describe; (1)  the granting of aid (schaffolding) by teachers and students to other students who are still in need of assistance in the teaching and learning process, and (2) to describe student behavior after learning over at the SDIT Lukmanul Hakim Langsa about environmentally conscious efforts. The research is used descriptive qualitative methode. Data collecting tool used is a form of observation. The results showed that the importance of environmentally conscious inculcation efforts early on to be done simultaneously and consistently by all stakeholders of the school. The easiest thing is to provide live examples to the students so that they are interested in learning science.

This study aims to identify the student perceptions of interactive multimedia applications in teaching and learning process in 21st century. Interactive multimedia is an integration of five elements (text, graphics, video, audio, and animation). The study design used was a quantitative survey by using questionnaire as instrument. Data was analyzed through quantitative and descriptive approach. The respondents were selected among 30 form 1 students that selected by purpose sampling technique to answer the objectives of the study. The result shows that majority students gave a positive perception to the applications of interactive multimedia in teaching and learning in the classroom. This method can improve a student’s concentration level and easily understand the subject matter. In conclusion, teachers should know that the applications of interactive multimedia in teaching and learning can gain positive impact not only to the skills of the information and communication technology by the teacher itself that can diversify the teaching method, but at the same time can produce a creative, innovative, smart students in both IT and knowledge.

Abstract. The ability to use information technology is an important ability in 21st century learning. This Community Service Activities (PKM) aims to conduct training and describing the pedagogical competency profile of teachers in SMK Negeri 1 Sota in utilizing information technology to support teaching and learning activities. The method used was training, mentoring, and evaluating the results of activities. The instrument used to obtain data after the training was a Likert scale questionnaire consisting of 3 aspects and distributed into 30 statements. The three aspects measured are the ability to use various information technology applications, the ability to utilize online learning media, and the ability to use search engines and data collectors. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively and the results were categorized based on ideal standard deviations. The results obtained in this activity were the ability of teachers in SMK 1 Sota in utilizing information technology to support the learning process is still low.Keywords: online learning media, pedagogical ability, google classroom, google formAbtrak. Kemampuan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi (TI) dalam pembelajaran merupakan kemampuan yang penting dalam pembelajaran abad 21. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan mendeskripsikan profil kompetensi pedagogik guru di SMK Negeri 1 Sota dalam memanfaatkan TI untuk mendukung kegiatan belajar mengajar. Metode yang digunakan dalam  kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan, pendampingan, serta evaluasi hasil kegiatan. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data setelah dilakukan pelatihan adalah angket dengan skala likert yang terdiri dari 3 aspek dan dijabarkan menjadi 30 pernyataan. Ketiga aspek yang diukur adalah kemampuan menggunakan berbagai aplikasi TI kemampuan dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran online, dan kemampuan dalam menggunakan mesin pencari dan pengumpul data. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan hasilnya dikategorikan berdasarkan simpangan baku ideal. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan ini adalah kemampuan guru-guru di SMK Negeri 1 Sota dalam menfaatkan TI untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran masih kurang. As a place for learning activities, educational institutions must adapt to the times to not be viewed as a threat in the current era of education 4.0. Along with 21st-century learning needs to foster students' creative, innovative and competitive attitudes by implementing technology as an auxiliary medium in the learning process to produce quality students. This research is a descriptive case study to explore the application of the cybergogy concept about facing the challenges of learning in the 21st-century, especially in lecturing German in the courses offered by students. The sample in this study were students in semesters II, IV, and VI of the German Language Education Study Program, with 35 students. The instruments used in this study were questionnaires, interviews, and document review. Data from questionnaires, discussions and document reviews were analyzed using descriptive statistics referring to the Milles and Huberman stages. The results showed that the concept of cybergogy had been applying 30% synchronously and 70% asynchronously. On average, 93-94% of students and lecturers have used technology-based media in the German language learning process because of the availability of teaching materials and supporting facilities for information and communication technology to face 21st-century learning.
