A technological society in permanent evolution requires teaching professionals with continuous training. Among the main teaching skills that teachers must currently acquire  during process of initial training, we emphasize the educational use of Information and Communication Technologies  (in Spanish its acronym is TIC) and teamwork. Through this innovation experience focused on developing a workflow based on cooperative learning using CourseLab application, specific student skills are required in PC use,  navigation through Internet and ability for teamwork and problem resolution. Definitely, we pretend to complete training of future teachers in ICT environments, so they could perform teaching / learning processes  in order to match students interests and motivations, and may contribute to improvement of school success. Results of this study indicate that training teachers demand the use of similar tools to motivate themselves and adapt to teaching and learning processes. We conclude with a positive assessment of both experience and development of the subject.

In this essay, David Gruenewald weaves a narrative of his education and teaching together with Henry David Thoreau's comments on education, and with stories of Thoreau's own teaching and learning. Gruenewald's personal narrative begins with the discovery of Thoreau as a rare voice of social critique in the education of a typical middle-class adolescent, and then moves to a personal critique of the social context of schooling and the conventions of schooling from the author's perspective as a student and a high school teacher. The second part of the essay explores three teaching themes found both in Thoreau's writing and in biographical treatments of him: experimentation, wholeness, and the primacy of place. Gruenewald discusses each of these themes in terms of Thoreau's approach to teaching, learning, and living. Arguing against the culture of prescription that dominates teaching and learning in schools and colleges of education, he concludes not with more prescription, but with the Thoreauvian plea to reexamine everything we have been told.

The aim of this study was to investigate the process of teaching learning, priorities, desires and difficulties experienced by academics in Chemistry, when describing a day of class as a high school teacher. For this, on the first day of class of the Supervised Internship, of the Chemistry Degree course, academics were asked to produce a narrative text imagining what a working day as a Chemistry teacher would be like. This activity gave rise to 15 narratives, which were analyzed based on content analysis. Such an analytical procedure allowed the identification of two main categories, which were divided into subcategories. To discuss the results, the first category was selected: Image of a Chemistry teacher, which encompasses ideas about different methodologies, planning and time control, interpersonal relationships between teacher and student and between students, the profession as a job exhaustive and the teacher's clothes. In view of the results, it was possible to highlight multiple aspects as constituents of the teaching work, which highlights the need to expand the discussions held in the initial training courses, in addition to aspects related to disciplinary and didactic-pedagogical content.

Grammar, although indispensable for successful communication, is always a dry subject for most learners and needs a high motivation for learning.  Motivating language learners for learning grammar of English in Pakistan has always been a challenging task for the language instructors. This study investigated whether language games motivate adult learners for learning grammar or not. Language games were adopted as a motivational strategy for teaching English grammar to a sample of 31 male and 19 female first-year undergraduates of Islamia College Peshawar, who were not studying English as a major subject; their ages ranged between 19 to 22 years and they spoke Pashto as mother tongue. After teaching them grammar for one semester, the instructors—the researchers themselves—sought their feedback on the use of games through a 25-item questionnaire comprising sub-sets such as interest, satisfaction, effort, tension, choice, usefulness, competition, and pre- and post-treatment experience of learning grammar. The findings of the study manifest that language games motivate not only young learners but also adult language learners. It was suggested that teaching-learning activity based on games should be made an integral part of the course of students of primary and high schools, in addition to being made a part of the primary and high school teacher education.
