The purpose of this article is to understanding of the principal, understand and know the role of the principal, and know the principal's transformational leadership style. In this article, researchers use the literature study and simulation methods. This literature study was carried out by gathering literature (materials) sourced from books, journals, and other sources related to knowledge about the role of the principal. While the simulation method is done by taking a picture of small-scale examples taken from books, internet sites, journals and etc. The principal is one of the school personnel who guides and has responsibilities together with other members to achieve their goals. The principal is called the official leader. The principal is very instrumental in moving various components of the school so that the learning process can run well. This means that the principal is very important to progress in the quality of education.

The principal is the highest lead in the school. The pattern of leadership will be very influential even greatly determine the progress of the school. Therefore in modern education the headmasters leadership is a strategic position in the minister. The purpose of this article is understand the meaning of community participation in improving the quality of school, knowing the components of community participation, knowing forms of community participation, and knowing the roles and participation of parents and the community in improving school quality. In this article, researchers use the literature study and simulation methods. This literature study was carried out by gathering literature (materials) sourced from books, journals, and other sources related to knowledge about the community participation in improving the quality of school. While the simulation method is done by taking a picture of small-scale examples taken from books, internet sites, journals and so forth. After the study material is collected, then the material is researched and studied, then the writer tries to conclude a new knowledge from the analysis of the material. The conclusion of this article is that community participation is very important in advancing the quality of a school. Where community participation is an activity of participation, contribution, and participation from the community in the form of goods / services in an effort to improve the quality of education.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of the principal in improving the quality of education at the Laboratory Elementary School of Unimuda Sorong. The methodology used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The study found that the role of the principal in improving the quality of education at the Laboratory Elementary School of Unimuda Sorong consisted of three stages: input, processing, and output. The input stage includes 1) Free of costs: providing free education for Papuan children and 2) Mapping: prioritizing Papuan children and transmigrants’ communities around the "Warmon Kokoda" village. The processing stage includes enlarging the classrooms, providing laboratories, creating a comfortable library for elementary school-aged children, evaluating al-Qur'an teachers, and daily controlling the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Finally, at the output stage, all of the students of the past few years graduated with stable and static grades. The leadership style carried out by the principal was democratic in all respects by taking a social-persuasive approach when problems occur between teachers and parents and the surrounding community.

This paper complements the discussion about leadership, because the presence of leaders is needed in an organization, in this case the author focuses on education. The role of the headmaster's leadership in supporting the culture and quality of the school is very influential for the quality of the school. This leadership is oriented to how the role of the headmaster's leadership in supporting the interactive learning process, conducive schoolenvironment, cultured and quality community. The purpose of the research is: (1) describe how the role of the headmaster's leadership in supporting the culture of SMPK Angelus Custos II Surabaya (2) describes how the role of the headmaster's leadership in supporting the quality of SMPK Angelus Custos II Surabaya. This research uses Qualitative research method. Data collection using research instruments with participant observation methods, in-depth interviews, documentation and literature reviews. The results of this study are: (1) the role of the principal leadership at SMPK Angelus Custos II Surabaya in supporting the culture and quality of education is considered as an important element and optimal enough in determining the direction of school success. (2) The impact of the principal's support in improving the culture and quality of education at SMPK Angelus Custos II Surabaya is quite maximal. It can be concluded that the role of the headmaster's leadership in supporting the culture and quality of the school is very influential in improving the quality of the school.

The role of the principal in implementing the quality management of learners is the activity of the principal responsible for the implementation of education, the school principal must be able to manage the management process from the planning, implementation, and to the evaluation stage of the outcome of learning, to achieve the success of the organization or institutions in achieving objectives and various objectives and ability to face various challenges, both external and , practices in the field, this can affect the performance of teachers in carrying out their duties in teaching and learners who receive the lesson, so that it can achieve the quality of education. The type of research used is field research, i.e. research that includes the facts and problems that exist in the field, with the method of research used is the descriptive qualitative research in SMK Darul Maghfiroh SInar Rejeki, District Jati Agung, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan, with the technique of collecting data in this research include: observation, interviews, documentation, while the validity test of data is done with the triangulation technique, during the research is analysts , data presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions. The role of the principal in the implementation of quality management by carrying out its duties precisely is planning, organizing activities, directing activities, implementing supervision, and implementing management management and organizing the school relationship with the community and other Instasi. The principal is the control holder in his school so that in organizing and implementing it all the headmaster can not do it alone, the principal should be able to invite and give a positive influence so that teachers and students can cooperate wholeheartedly, with such a purpose the school will be easier to achieve.

Abstract: Education is the main thing in Indonesia in improving the quality of human resources. The role of the principal is very important to help improve the quality of education. This study aims to describe 1) the role of the principal in improving the quality of education in elementary schools Muhammadiyah 4 Malang. 2) efforts made by school principals in improving the quality of education in elementary school Muhammadiyah 4 Malang. In this research method using qualitative descriptive methods. The results of the study stated that 1) the role of the headmaster in improving the quality of education in elementary school Muhammadiyah 4 Malang was as a manager, leader, supervisor, administrator, educator, innovator, and motivator. 2) The principal's efforts in improving the quality of education in elementary school Muhammadiyah 4 Malang City include: a) making all improvements in all aspects of improving the quality of education; b) planning and preparing activity plans; c) coordinate the distribution of learning activities; d) supervise and evaluate teachers regarding learning activities; e) coordinate in carrying out all school activities.Keywords: The Role of Principals, Quality of Education, Elementary School Abstrak: Pendidikan merupakan hal utama di Indonesia dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Peran kepala sekolah sangat mempengaruhi untuk membantu meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan 1) peran kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di sekolah dasar Muhammadiyah 4 Kota Malang. 2) upaya yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di sekolah dasar Muhammadiyah 4 Kota Malang. Dalam metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa 1) peran kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di sekolah SD Muhammadiyah 4 Kota Malang adalah sebagai manajer, pemimipin, supervisor, administrator, edukator, inovator dan motivator. 2) Adapun upaya kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan di sekolah SD Muhammadiyah 4 Kota Malang diantaranya: a) melakukan semua perbaikan dalam semua aspek peningkatan mutu pendidikan; b) melakukan perencanaan dan penyusunan rencana kegiatan; c) mengkoordinasi pembagian kegiatan pembelajaran; d) melakukan supervise dan evaluasi guru mengenai kegiatan belajar; e) berkoordinasi dalam melakukan semua kegiatan sekolah.Kata kunci: Peran Kepala Sekolah, Mutu Pendidikan, Sekolah Dasar
