The purpose of this study is to clarify the factors that influence the management of students' pocket money directly and indirectly in Air Tawar Padang City. A sample of 344 students consisting of 130 students and 214 high school students was obtained by completing the questionnaire. The results show that the family environment, peers, gender and self-control have positive and significant effect on the management of students in Padang City.

AbstractThe specific type of human activities that aim to maintain full health by maintaining biological, psychological and social comfort indicate the need to adopt a holistic perspective in any analysis of determinants of pro-health behaviour. When analysing the aetiology of somatic diseases, it is important to take into account biological and mental well-being as well as the connections between needs, interests and lifestyle decisions and their consequences. One of the measures used to reduce the risk of a progressive lack of immunity to non-infectious diseases is prevention, understood as actions aimed at preventing diseases or other adverse health phenomena by controlling their causes and risk factors. An important component of prevention programmes is preventing the occurrence of negative social behaviour patterns that contribute to the increased risk of diseases. Three basic components of a healthy lifestyle – regular physical activity, proper nutrition and sufficient rest and relaxation (stress management) – justify the importance of practising healthy habits from an early age. The role of promoting pro-health behaviours among children and adolescents is of particular importance in the context of increasingly sedentary lifestyles, obesity and weight problems.The aim of this study is to analyse the determinants of physical activity and a balanced diet in the lifestyle of high school students in Radom aged 16-19. The study was conducted in 2013 at VII Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński High School in Radom and involved 140 students. The results of the study indicate that only one-third of respondents fulfilled the requirements for minimal physical activity for their subjective and objective needs of this phase of ontogenetic development, such as being in the company of their peers, spending time in open air and taking care of their physical fitness. Unfortunately, the majority of the parents of the surveyed high school students, who were at the time about 40 years old, did not engage in any systematic physical activity. In other words, the family environment of the studied young people did not promote patterns of physical activity. Similarly, healthy nutrition in the study group was lacking. Both the boys and girls ate around five meals a day, but many respondents snacked between meals on sweets and crisps. The majority of students drank water. The vast majority of them ate their meals at home, ensuring that their meals were freshly prepared and not pre-cooked.Although school children prefer to spend time with their peers, the family is still a point of reference in terms of values and ways of spending free time. The authors of this paper must take into account the minimal impact of the family on choices regarding physical activity. The studied group of high school students demonstrated a lack of preventive care for their health and did not have a well-established systematic approach to physical activity and healthy eating habits.

A comprehensive approach to the identification of the relationship between behaviors limiting nutrition mistakes, nutrition knowledge, and physical activity in the context of the family environment has not yet been widely explored. We aim to identify patterns of avoiding nutrition mistakes in high school students from Warsaw, Poland, and to assess their associations with nutrition knowledge (NK), physical activity (PA), body mass index (BMI), demographic, and family environment characteristics. A cross-sectional study involving 616 high school students, aged 16–19, was conducted. The data were collected by distributing questionnaires. The k-means method was used for cluster analysis, and logistic regression was used to assess the adherence to identified patterns. We identified three patterns: Prudent Ones (45%), Inconsequent (39%), and Rebels (16%). About 70% of adolescents had insufficient NK. The adherence to the Rebels pattern was lower by 85 % in girls, by 68% in students with younger siblings, and was about 4.0-times higher in children of mothers with primary education, 2.4 times higher in students with insufficient NK, and 1.9-times higher in students living in a family with more than 4 persons. The groups of adolescents with feature characteristics of the Rebels and Inconsequent are possible targets for intervention and require further in-depth research to explain their lack of attempts to avoid nutrition mistakes. The results clearly indicate the necessity of including metropolitan teenage boys in effective nutritional education for the rationalization of their dietary behavior.

<p><em>This study aims to determine the effect of family environment and peer interaction on the learning behavior of XI SMA Patra Dharma Balikpapan students. Samples were obtained by means of random or random sampling techniques, with a sample of 95 students. How to collect data in this study by distributing questionnaires to class XI students of Patra Dharma High School students. To prove the hypothesis in this study by using t test and F test. The results of this study indicate that partially family environment, peer interaction affects the learning behavior of class XI students of Patra Dharma High School Balikpapan, this is shown by looking at the value of t count 2.223&gt; t table 1,660 for family environment variables and t count 2,946&gt; t table 1,660 for peer interaction. Whereas simultaneously the family environment, peer interaction affects the learning behavior of XI Patra Dharma Balikpapan class XI students, this is indicated by the calculated F value of 9.204 greater than Ftable = 3,098.</em></p>

Abstract: This study aims to: 1) The Effect of Learning Motivation to the Discipline of learning of high school students in Aur Birugo Tigo Baleh District, Bukittinggi. 2) The Influence of the Family Environment on the Discipline of Learning of Senior High School students in Aur Birugo Tigo Baleh District, Bukittinggi. 3) The Influence of Learning Motivation and Family Environment jointly affects the discipline of learning of high school students in Aur Birugo Tigo Baleh District, Bukittinggi. This research is a type of associative descriptive study. The population in this study were were SMAN students in Aur Birugo Tigo Baleh sub-district in Bukittinggi. Sampling techniques using purposive sampling. Then use the Slovin formula, so that a sample of 317 people is obtained. Data collection techniques using primary data in the form of questionnaires. For data analysis used multiple regression analysis using the SPSS program. The article explores the current problem of using obscene language as a tool for verbal bulling, and provides empirical material for the connection between verbal bulling at school and the active obscene vocabulary of parents addressed to children and in the presence of children. The theoretical bases for our study were the works of D. Olveus, J. Devoy, S. Kafenberger, who laid the foundations for the development of the problem of school bulling, as well as the methodology of subject-action approach and the concept of the subject of mental activity developed by V. Tatenko. In accordance with this goal, we investigated the manifestations of verbal bulling behavior in the high school. It was found that high school students most often use obscene language as a tool of verbal bullying. The article also outlines some of the peculiarities of using obscene language as verbal bullying in the environment of high school students. It was established that parents of the students often use verbal harassment and obscene language as a tool to influence a child's behavior in the family environment. Of all the high school students surveyed, 66 % of the students questioned indicated that parents were using obscene language at home, and 48 % of parents questioned were also positive about using verbal bulling of their children. We investigated what kind of obscene words were used as insults of children by the parents, identified and classified them. We established that personal insults were performed on regular basis, and the emotional reactions of children were so acute that 1.5 % of high school students were having suicidal thoughts. That means that for some students the family is the place where they are bulled and verbally abused. We used the concepts of «subject of mental activity» and «system of substantive intuitions» to determine the depth of psychological trauma. It was established that emotional reactions to family bulling are entrenched in the behavior of children and become the basis for the realization in the school of the bullying roles of a victim, a buller and observers.

The paper deals with issues connected with the motivation of high school students to participate in activities aimed at professional creative activity and, in this context, issues of environmental influences, especially from school and the family. It is responding to some of the growing efforts of neoliberalism to over individualize creative expression and activities and completely ignore social influences. It also takes into account the cultural legacy of past generations and the sources of creative power that have taken root in society and from which individuals draw and process their inspiration. Presented within are the results of an empirical probe focused on the influence of the social environment on the creative activity of teenagers. The paper follows the relations to the existing body of knowledge on the relationship between social environment and creativity, with an effort to capture the social conditionality of creative performances—to capture their roots. The results of the probe have confirmed the initial hypothesis that the creative efforts of secondary school students taking part in vocational training is based on the social background of the family and school. However, the family influence on the students’ creativity is not as significant as one would expect. It is the indirect effect of the family environment that has a larger influence.

Child-to-parent violence (CPV) constitutes a serious social problem due to its short and long-term consequences, which not only directly affect the victim but also generate a rupture of the family system. In this study, direct and indirect effects of exposition to violence within the family, insecurity in the family system (manifested as disengagement and/or preoccupation), and justification of violence on CPV toward mothers and fathers were analyzed with structural equation modeling (SEM). Davies and Cummings emotional security theory (1994) was applied. A total of 904 high school students between 13 and 20 years old participated in this study. Information regarding each participant’s committed CPV was obtained from the Child-to-Parent Aggression Questionnaire. Emotional insecurity was assessed with the Security in the Family System scale. To assess exposition to violence and justification of violence, the Exposure to Violence Questionnaire and Irrational Beliefs Inventory for Adolescents were applied, respectively. Strong relationships between exposition to violence within the family, emotional insecurity, justification of violence, and CPV toward mothers and fathers were observed. The results show that adolescents who are exposed to violence at home are more aggressive in the future. In addition, this relationship is mediated, at least in part, by the justification of violence and emotional insecurity. These results suggest that prevention and treatment of CPV aggressors should focus on improving security within the survivors’ family system as well as modifying attitudes toward violence.

The study aimed to identify the level of social support (support by friends, support from the family, support by the teacher), and to analyze the relationship between social support and achievement among students of High school students in government schools. The study followed descriptive analytical approach based on a questionnaire applied to 137 students of Karak government schools. The study found that the students get moderate level of social support; the study showed that the level of friends support came first, followed by teacher support, followed by family support, and found a relationship between social support and achievement in Students of Karak government schools. In light of the results, the study recommended several recommendations, the most important of which is to sensitize parents and faculty members about the importance of social support.
