Gram is important crop of Nepali and Indian farmers. Most of the people take gram as regular food. There are several edible food products prepared from gram. Gram is cultivated mostly in Birgunj (Parsa), Morang and Terai region. Recently in these states industrialization and infrastructure development work going very fast causing huge amounts of pollutants and particulate entering into the atmosphere. The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of corrosive pollutants on gram production and study tries to find the gaps of pH in the different areas. Infrastructure development is an integral part of national development and the driving wheel of economic growth. Infrastructure also has an important role in strengthening national unity and unity (Bappenas: 2009). The banjarwaru, banjarwangi, and telukpinang highways are the access roads traversed by 8 villages including alternative routes for the cicurug-sukabumi area. This road is always passed by the people who headed to the city. Therefore, the benefits of this road is very important because it is often passed from the cicurug-sukabumi area due to the diversion of traffic flow so that the intensity of high road users.In this study the author uses the theory of Ridwan and Sudrajat. Quality of service is the level of incompatibility between expectations with customer desires and also the perceptions of these customers. Quality of service here can be assessed by looking at the dimensions. These dimensions include the quality of service, the ability of officials, and service convenience. During the observation to the community through the survey to direct approach with the community, most people complained that the development service to build the kecamatan should be further improved and the results of this study showed that the Quality Assessment of Service in Road Infrastructure Development in Ciawi Sub-district Bogor Regency is categorized Fair Good this is because the assessment of the quality of development services by the Subdistrict Apparatus itself and from the community assess the ability of District Officers still have to be improved in conducting the service and its implementation.Keywords: Service Quality, Infrastructure Development.

Recently in Bangladesh, frozen and ready-to-cook food industry is growing very fast due to high demand of these products by the city dwellers. This study aims at identifying the factors influencing the consumers’ perception about the frozen and ready-to-cook food products on Bangladeshi people.A survey was conducted among 211 frozen and ready-to-cook food consumers of Dhaka city with a structured questionnaire. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Factor analysis was conducted to identify the influencing factors related to the consumers’ perception about frozen and ready-to-cook food products. Regression analysis was accomplished to examine the impact of the factors on the overall consumers’ preferences of the processed frozen and ready-to-cook food products. Results show that the factors which influence the perception of the consumers about frozen and ready-to-cook food products are concerned with saving time, helpful and economic, low price, variety and good for health, brand image and quality, availability of the frozen foods, taste of the food, and attractive packaging of the food. Individual factor relationships show that the factors such as, saving time, the foods are helpful and economic, low price, variety and good for health, brand image and quality, and availability of the foods are significant and the factors such as, good taste of the food and attractive packaging of the food are not significant in the this study. This study suggests that the policymakers of the processed frozen and ready-to-cook food product manufacturers should give importance on these factors for increasing the demand of the products among the city dwellers of Bangladesh. Wild tree species play an important role in the diet of the people. However, few studies tried to assess the food products of those wild tree species in Sahel region. This study focuses on identifying the contribution of Adansonia digitata process products through the survey and sensory evaluation due to nutritional value and increase of income to the population. The A. digitata is used in Africa as food and traditional pharmacopeia. Its leaves are excellent sources of nutrients. The A. digitata pulp rich in vitamins is used to make juice and jam. The seeds are processed into virgin oil. The sensory evaluation at Sahara Sahel Foods revealed that A. digitata pulp juice as the highest overall accepted product and its jam the less. The survey at both Zinder city and Baban Tabki village showed that the A. digitata products are more useful in the villages than in the city with 65% and 35% appreciations respectively. These products are an aftertaste for the local population to increase their income and improve their nutritional status as well as health status. This study provides a baseline data about A. digitata food products in Zinder region, which could play a crucial role in the conservation of the A. digitata. This study recommends the use of A. digitata trees in the national tree plantation programmes in Zinder region.

The development of infrastructure and information technology has a significant impact on the relationship between Ruteng, the capital of the Manggarai district, and the surrounding villages. The mobility of the people between the cities and villages has led to new problems which previously did not have a significant influence. The shrinking of the rural agricultural sector and the development of the informal sector in the city are indicative of the dynamic relationship between the two. In order to see the phenomenon of changes that occur in the relationship between Ruteng and the surrounding villages, a theory of landscapes by Arjun Appadurai is used. Interviews were conducted with two entrepreneurs who employed people from five villages, namely Wae Belang, Pong Murung, Purang, Lando, and Nanu, and ten workers from those villages. Observations and literature reviews were carried out to support and complement the data obtained by the interview method. Technoscape, in the form of physical infrastructure development in rural areas and mediascape in the form of television and radio shows, as well as social media, became a pull factor for migration to Ruteng. Meanwhile, the traditional view in the form of go’et (traditional expressions) and the similarity of culture become the push factors for urbanization to Ruteng.

Khususnya daerah di kota Medan, Sumatera Utara yang sudah banyak perumahan yang telah dibangun khususnya tempat tinggal bagi masyarakat kota Medan yang berpenghasilan rendah (MBR). Dengan munculnya pembangunan dapat menumbuhkan pertumbuhan ekonomi, dan tersedianya lapangan pekerjaan.Pembangunan infrastruktur termasuk hal penting dalam metode pertumbuhan suatu bangsa yang baik pada sektor ekonomi, sosial, budaya, pendidikan, pertanian dan sektor lainnya.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui rumah subsidi yang dapat dijangkau oleh penghuni MBR dan untuk mengetahui faktor kepuasan penghuni MBR terhadap pembelian rumah subsidi.Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, yaitu menggunakan survey data primer dan mewawancarai kepada narasumber. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat, diantaranya menambah wawasan pengetahuan bagi penulis tentang keadaan sosial dan ekonomi bagi penduduk di perumahan subsidi di daerah Perumahan Hijau 3 Indonesia has been divided into several regions, and in each region many houses have been built. Especially in the city of Medan, North Sumatra, which has built a lot of housing, especially housing for the people of Medan city with low income (MBR). With the advent of development, it can foster economic growth, and the availability of jobs. Infrastructure development is an important factor in a nation's good growth methods in the economic, social, cultural, educational, agricultural and other sectors. This study aims to determine the subsidized houses that can be reached by MBR residents and to determine the satisfaction factor of MBR residents for the purchase of subsidized houses. The method used is descriptive quantitative, using primary data surveys and interviewing informants. The results of this study are expected to provide benefits, including increasing knowledge insight for writers about the social and economic conditions for residents in subsidized housing in the Green Housing area 3

Abstract There is a usual positive correlation between infrastructure development and property sales, because infrastructure development has positive externalities on property sales. However, in Bulawayo this correlation is not usually present in all aspects of properties transactions. The research seeks to find out the trends in infrastructure development and property sales in the city of Bulawayo. The research also aims to unearth some of the factors other than infrastructure development that determine property values in Bulawayo’s low-density suburbs. The research took a mixed methods approach to data collection where both qualitative and quantitative methodologies were utilised. Questionnaires were administered to the people in low income areas of Pumula, Cowdrey Park and Emganwini. In depth interviews with key informants in the real estate sector were conducted to cross fertilise and enrich the inquiry. The research found out that in most cases there is a strong correlation between infrastructure development and property sales, but in some cases, this is not the case as some forces are put in play to distort the market play. The research also discovered that apart from infrastructure, property sales in Bulawayo’s low-income residential suburbs are also affected by income, supply of houses and demand for these houses. In Bulawayo, there are bottle-necks in the supply of houses and this has distorted the market because people are taking whatever there is on the market at any price. This has reduced the influence of infrastructure development on property sales.

The article examines the institutional process in a regional economy connected with the infrastructure development. We use the neoinstitutional approach to study factors that influence the behavior of government and business in their interaction in the economy. We also use statistical methods to analyze the dynamics of socio-economic development indicators of the subjects of the Russian Federation as well as the results of measures to attract private investment into infrastructure, including the PPP. We chose the city of Moscow and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District as two empirical case studies which differ in economic and geographic conditions, but both demonstrate success in attracting private investment and implementing infrastructure projects. Our conclusions are consistent with a theory that asserts the primacy of institutional environment in relation to project implementation. We make also some practical recommendations for the development of the institutional environment which are acceptable for all regions solving similar problems of infrastructure development.


The main principle of the strategy for the complex improvement of the functioning of northern cities in winter, including their infrastructure development, is a comprehensive solution of the problem of industrial-scale snow-mass collection, removal and utilization at different areas of urban roadway networks. For its implementation in the capital of Russia, “MosvodokanalNIIproject” JSC developed in 2002 the Snow Removal Master Plan for the city of Moscow. The meteorological conditions in the city, which have changed considerably in the recent years, including the changes in the snow-cover depth and in the road-surface areas to be cleaned, as well as emerging of new technologies for the cleaning of urban streets, yards and sidewalks and some new types of deicing agents, resulted in the necessity to update the above-mentioned Snow Removal Master Plan developed for the city of Moscow. Efficient application of deicing agents is of special importance for its updating in the context of the environmental safety of the city in a winter period. The article considers the results of the implementation of the updated Snow Removal Master Plan and contains some proposals concerning snow removal under the conditions of extreme snowfalls.

Based on the concept of a livable and global age-friendly city, pavements are a public facility that the city should provide to the people. Appropriate pavements will be beneficial for the people, particularly for good quality of life for the elderly to move around in the city. This study explored the behaviour of the elderly in the use of pavements and the problems confronted. The study also evaluated the value of the pavement walking area as it reflected the benefits of pavements to the elderly by applying the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM). During March-May 2017, data were collected using interviews with 601 elderly living in Bangkok. The study indicated that the main problem for senior citizens regarding their use of pavements was from being disturbed by motorbikes riding on the pavements. The average value of pavement for the elderly was about THB 160 (USD 5.30) per person per year. Thus, the benefits of pavements to the elderly in Bangkok was approximately THB 158 million (USD 5.2 million) per year. Thus, policy makers should make proper budget allocations for elderly-friendly pavement management and seriously address the problems confronting the elderly in using pavements, to maximize the usefulness of pavements not only for the elderly but also for the public and to support a sustainable urban development.
