Government of Nepal has been trying to revitalize rural areas after 1950s as a strategy of nation-building. The demands of ethnic groups are basically inclined with quest for ethnic identity, equality, and greater representation in the political structure. Among the ethnic groups, the largest groups are Janajati, Madhesi and Dalits. In this stance, this library based study tried to look at problems and prospects of balance development as an outcomes of revitalization process of nation-building. At the same time the study also tried to identify essential driver of rural revitalization in Nepali context. The study found that equal distribution of development is difficult in terms of its social, regional and cultural diversity. Poverty, unemployment, landlessness, rapid population is major push factor in Nepal to overcome from this problem. Besides these problems there are some prospects through which rural setting can be revitalized economically, socially, politically such as agriculture. One essential driver of rural revitalization is rurbanomics, an approach that emphasizes the linkages between rural and urban economies. Growing urbanization in most countries enhances the importance of rural areas—by boosting demand for food, diverse diets, and goods and services that the rural economy can meet. Rurbanomics, therefore, frames rural and urban economies as equal partners.Ending hunger and malnutrition to achieve both the Sustainable Development Goals and climate goals requires us to initiate a range of evidence-based actions to advance rural revitalization in all regions of the world. Rural revitalization represents the most realistic way to achieve such a dramatic transformation to ensure that rural people and rural areas can thrive for generations to come.

The population of the small and medium scale businesses (SMSB) are amounted about more 500 thousand, while their role in GNP are about 50%. More 90% of the SMSB are small scales and carry out their activities in many sectors which are spead out in rural and urban areas as well. The power of the SMSB has been proved through the crises since 1998, they are still exsits, while the conglomerate had been col/aped. The development programme of small businesses in Indonesia has been intorduced for more than 3 decades, but the results are still queationable. In the beginning of 90's, such programmes were introduced in a line of the poverty eradication (PPE). The PPE programes such as PHBK, P4K, KUKESRA and IDT are in a line to the programes of developing real sectors in rural areas. Poverty is a crucial problem and consists of multidimensional aspects, not only economic but also social, cultural, structural and institutional as well.The previous programes never touch the core problem, operate separately, and rarely include the group targets (poor society) to actively participate in the programs. Another new programs such as P-IK, PHBK, KUKESRA and IDT have also been carried out, but at the present the results were still questionably. Some programes are introduced to develop small scales business, such as PHBK dan KUKESRAAims of the study are to indentify: the successes and the .fails of varoius programs for eradicating poverty, terms as 'Program for Poverty Eradication· or shortly PPE; how the fund has been allocated, managed, and coordinated; how jar the society, LSM, and poors themselves do involve; and how jar the programs could reduce poverty and sustainable develop the rural economy. The study has been carried out in three kabupatens: Bima. Sumbawa, dan West Lombok Resource persons are the GO and the NGO officers who close relate with the PPE. The respondents are members POKMAS who receive fund of the PPE. The Sarasehan procedure with resource applies to collect secondary data of the PPE's program from resource persons, while the participatory and emphatic procedures are used to invite responses and attitudes of respondents.The results indicate the models of the PPH, such as P-IK, PHBK. KUKESRA and IDT could not be generalized. Some were more rigid, while some others were accommodative. Some were effective, the others were stagnant, evermore fails. They need solid commitment of all: the government institutions from the top to the lowest. The involvement of the TOGA, the TOMA, and the NGO, and the poor themselves. The more rigid the programs were managed and directed (by the government), the higher the probability of programs are stagnant and even morefruitlessly.

In developed countries with declining population growth, sustainable rural economic growth is a problematic issue that is made more difficult by severe international cost-saving competition. Well-organized spatial and economic systems may play a key role in solving this specific problem. These systems can be achieved by spatial reorganization and agglomeration economies in less congested rural areas. However, rural areas typically have lower levels of social welfare partly as a result of the limited variety of goods and services, which further reduces centripetal forces on population and economic activity. Accordingly, in rural areas, it may be important to organize a spatial structure that sustains the distribution of a variety of goods and services in insufficient economies of scale and scope by coordinating a common local central place as an interregional spatial framework. This article examines a location model for forming an intermediate hierarchical center to maintain both efficiency and equity for economic agents in rural areas.

With the rapid development of science and technology in recent years, and the strong support of the Chinese government, the world’s most extensive Internet area has been formed. In recent years, my country’s E-commerce has developed very rapidly, which has promoted the development of rural E-commerce. The development of rural E-commerce has promoted the development of the rural economy, especially in the current country’s rural revitalization strategy. The report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China stated: “Insist on focusing on the construction of national infrastructure and social development in rural areas, deepen the construction of new rural areas and poverty alleviation development, comprehensively improve rural production and living conditions, strive to increase farmers’ income, and maintain a sustained and rapid income of farmers. increase”. Rural E-commerce is a key link in the realization of the strategic goals of rural revitalization. Although my country’s rural E-commerce development has made some outstanding achievements at this stage, in terms of the time period of rural E-commerce development, it is only in its infancy. There are bound to be many problems to be solved, and some problems in the treatment of the juvenile industry may make this industry disappear. This article is based on the rural revitalization strategy. This article explores the current problems in the development of rural E-commerce in my country, and proposes specific development paths to contribute to the further development of rural E-commerce.

Abstract In modern conditions, human capital is of great importance in the production of the value of goods and services. At present, the social and living conditions of people in rural areas lag far behind urban ones. Russia has identified a socially oriented model of society development among the development priorities for the coming years, which involves the support of social spheres of the economy that determine the conditions for human capital development. The article discusses the main conditions for the formation of human capital in rural areas of North Asia, which covers the territories of the least populated federal districts – Siberian, Ural and Far Eastern. The selected entities are different in terms of economic development and infrastructural potential. The article highlights the main factors in the formation of human capital and the conditions for its development in this region. The importance of the role of the state in ensuring the availability and improving the quality of social services, reducing the differences between rural and urban living conditions is shown.

AbstractThis study quantifies how spending changes induced by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) affects production and employment in rural and urban areas. A general equilibrium simulation model with an estimated demand system is first used to project how SNAP affects spending on different goods and services. These impacts are then linked to the expansion and contraction of different economic sectors that differ in importance across rural and urban Oregon. In urban areas, a number of service sectors linked to higher-income households shrink slightly in response to SNAP, while food-related sectors expand; the net effect on jobs is slightly negative. Production changes in rural areas are generally smaller, while having a slightly positive net effect on jobs. Overall, SNAP makes a positive difference for low- or no-income households without strong effects elsewhere in the economy.

China's urban and rural development has entered a new stage of comprehensive transformation. The advent of the era of metropolitan development and the strategy of Rural Revitalization are two important national strategic backgrounds of this study. As the highest urbanization rate in Southern Jiangsu, rural and urban development needs synchronous resonance. Rural areas, as an important role in the integration of the Yangtze River Delta and the development of Shanghai Metropolitan Area, play an important role in regional cohesion and complementary functions, and are an important part in the overall construction of the metropolitan area. Jinxi Town is located in the southern end of Jiangsu Province, bordering Qingpu District of Shanghai, and between Suzhou and Shanghai. In ancient China, Jinxi was a traditional town of fish and rice and water culture. During the period of reform and opening-up, Jinxi worked closely with surrounding cities to create a brilliant chapter of "Sunan Model" and "Kunshan Model". In the new stage of development, Jinxi Town shoulders the heavy responsibility of more ecological functions and reduction of construction land indicators. It is not only more responsible for ensuring food production safety and protecting ecological functions, but also more demanding for rural revitalization. It is also more urgent to study its development path and strategy. Firstly, this paper takes Jinxi's contemporary mission as the starting point, secondly, through the analysis of Jinxi's function orientation, population, industry and space, and then puts forward the general strategic requirements of Rural Revitalization according to these four aspects. Thirdly, it demonstrates several different types of villages in Jinxi town, respectively. The cases of upgrading agriculture, industrial integration and development, demonstration of rural community and industrial retreat to build Jinxi Town to revitalize villages in the countryside. Finally, through the follow-up revision and improvement of planning formulation, to help the effective implementation of Jinxi Town's Rural Revitalization strategic planning. Through this study on the Rural Revitalization of Jinxi Town, on the one hand, it comprehensively implements the national deployment and the task of Jiangsu as a benchmark; on the other hand, it earnestly follows the law of rural selfdevelopment, and in the theoretical category of regional economy, it is based on the development of metropolitan area and the background of Rural Revitalization era, with Chinese characteristics, Shanghai. The road of Rural Revitalization in metropolitan area. At the same time, this paper expects to provide ideas and methods for the compilation of strategic planning for Rural Revitalization in metropolitan areas.

Although research has been conducted concerning differences between rural and urban social work practice, less is known about differences between rural and urban social workers. Findings from this investigation suggest that social workers who grew up in rural areas, those who participated in rural practica, and those who received rural-focused education at the BSW and MSW levels were more likely to be employed in a rural setting than those not sharing these characteristics. Given that the recruitment and retention of social workers in rural settings has been documented as an ongoing concern, developing a better understanding of differences between these groups is warranted. Findings from this investigation suggest that social work educational programs could increase the number of rural social workers by using strategies focused on group-specific recruitment, curriculum content, and practica location.

New rural construction is one of the key tasks identified by the Party and State as the national target program until 2020. Many documents of the Party and the State have been issued expressing political will to implement the tasks of building new rural areas, over 6 years of implementation, the National Target Program for new rural construction has achieved certain achievements, the appearance of rural areas of ethnic minorities and mountainous areas has gradually changed dramatically, contributing significantly to promoting socio-economic and cultural development. Many provinces and cities throughout the whole country have built some new rural models that meet nineteen criterias and arrive on time.

According to Romania’s National Rural Development Programme, the socio-economic situation of the rural environment has a large number of weaknesses – among which low access to financial resources for small entrepreneurs and new business initiatives in rural areas and poorly developed entrepreneurial culture, characterized by a lack of basic managerial knowledge – but also a large number of opportunities – among which access of the rural population to lifelong learning and entrepreneurial skills development programmes and entrepreneurs’ access to financial instruments. The population in rural areas depends mainly on agricultural activities which give them subsistence living conditions. The gap between rural and urban areas is due to low income levels and employment rates, hence the need to obtain additional income for the population employed in subsistence and semi-subsistence farming, especially in the context of the depopulation trend. At the same time, the need to stimulate entrepreneurship in rural areas is high and is at a resonance with the need to increase the potential of rural communities from the perspective of landscape, culture, traditional activities and local resources. A solution could be to turn vegetal and / or animal farms into social farms – farms on which people with disabilities (but also adolescents and young people with anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicide, and alexithymia issues) might find a “foster” family, bed and meals in a natural, healthy environment, and share the farm’s activities with the farmer and the farmer’s family: “committing to a regular day / days and times for a mutually agreed period involves complying with any required health and safety practices (including use of protective clothing and equipment), engaging socially with the farm family members and other people working on and around the farm, and taking on tasks which would include working on the land, taking care of animals, or helping out with maintenance and other physical work”
