This study uses a qualitative approach where the researcher is the key instrument, the data collection technique is trangulation (observation, interviews, and documentation), the data obtained tend to be qualitative data, the data analysis is qualitative, and the results of qualitative research are to understand the meaning and construct phenomena. implementation of the treasurer certification policy. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the treasurer certification policy has not yet reached the ideal condition, namely the achievement of all certified treasurers no later than 4 years since Presidential Regulation Number 7 of 2016 concerning Certification of Treasurers of the State Budget Management Work Unit comes into force. This is due to inconsistencies in policy implementation due to the non-compliance of the Head of the Work Unit in fulfilling the commitments in the Statement of Ability for the Treasurer to take the treasurer certification at the first opportunity. In addition, the incentive indicator is also one of the inhibiting factors for treasurers from participating in treasurer certification because treasurers feel that the workload, risks, and responsibilities are not balanced with the rewards received and the treasurer's career path is unclear.

Part of the on-going dialogue on qualitative research in sport and exercise psychology, this review portrays the qualitative articles published in three sport psychology journals and examines how qualitative research can deepen our knowledge in applied sport psychology. Eighty-four of the 485 research articles published in these journals used a qualitative data collection technique. The interview was used in 67 studies. Peer review and reliability tests were often used for establishing trustworthiness. Member checking was mostly limited to participant verification of interview transcripts. Results were usually presented using both words and numbers. Selected studies are discussed in relation to applied sport psychology knowledge. Published qualitative articles suggest a conservative effort by sport psychology researchers to include the qualitative approach as a legitimate way to do research.

This study focuses on prisoners’ family resilience in the village of Tambakrejo, Semarang. Ideally, family resilience is achieved when the rights and obligations of the household are fulfilled. It is though difficult for prisoner’s families to reach such an ideal condition due to the absence of husbands/fathers. The absence of these important figures results in family vulnerability. By using the qualitative approach, this research explores the condition of seven prisoners’ families in Tambakrejo village, Semarang city. The results of this study indicate that the families of prisoners in Tambakrejo village seem to be resilient.  The prisoner’s families in Tambakrejo are resilient because of some factors.  First, there are strong commitment from both husbands and wives.  Second, the presence of the child encourages the marriage couples to hold firmly on their marriage commitment, and third, each party tries to always think positively about their respective partners. However, there are also inhibiting factors affecting families’ resilience, including family financial issues, communication problems, and social sanctions. Based on those indicators, the families of prisoners in Tambakrejo can be categorized as having a low level of family resilience. However, the integrity of prisoners’ families in Tambakrejo Semarang can be maintained with commitment and persistence in keeping the purpose of their marriage.

Abstract. Assessing change during long-term psychotherapy can be a challenging and uncertain task. Psychological assessments can be a valuable tool and can offer a perspective from outside the therapy dyad, independent of the powerful and distorting influences of transference and countertransference. Subtle structural changes that may not yet have manifested behaviorally can also be assessed. However, it can be difficult to find a balance between a rigorous, systematic approach to data, while also allowing for the richness of the patient’s internal world to emerge. In this article, the authors discuss a primarily qualitative approach to the data and demonstrate the ways in which this kind of approach can deepen the understanding of the more subtle or complex changes a particular patient is undergoing while in treatment, as well as provide more detail about the nature of an individual’s internal world. The authors also outline several developmental frameworks that focus on the ways a patient constructs their reality and can guide the interpretation of qualitative data. The authors then analyze testing data from a patient in long-term psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy in order to demonstrate an approach to data analysis and to show an example of how change can unfold over long-term treatments.
