This study aims to determine the process of a person's interaction on Tinder social media, causing a new phenomenon known as catfishing. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection technique was obtained by using in-depth interview techniques. The results of the study show that the self-presentations displayed by Tinder users are not using their real photos or identities. The scope of self-presentation shown in this study does not extend to false identity or paint through identity theft. Tinder users in this study tended to use their original photos that they had edited to look better and closer to the ideal Tinder users liked, use their old photos that were considered better and closer to ideal, blur their original photos, use their real photos but not using real names, to using photos of objects or objects that interest them to show their interests and hobbies to other users. In this study, there were no users who used other people's existing identities either by using other people's photos or identities that showed someone who was in real life.

AbstractProfiles in the widely used phenomenon of mobile online dating applications are characteristically reduced to condensed information mostly containing one or a few pictures. Thus, these picture(s) play a significant role for the decision-making processes and success, supposedly holding vital meaning for the subjects. While profile pictures in social media are omnipresent and some research has already focused on these pictures, especially selfies, there has been little attention with regards to the actual self-presentation when mobile online dating. In this paper, we show the results of a reconstructive serial analysis of 524 mobile online dating profile pictures investigating how subjects present themselves in the context of a mobile online dating app. This context is highly specific and characterized by continuous and dichotomous judgments by (unknown) others, unseen competition, and permanent validation of the self. Despite the conceivable multitude of possible self-presentations, our analysis led to eight clear types of self-presentation. Contemplating on subject’s good reasons for presenting the self as one of many and not as varied and unique when mobile online dating, we refer to the discourse of the private self (Gergen, The saturated self: Dilemmas of identity in contemporary life, Basic Books, New York, 1991; Rose, Governing the soul: Shaping of the private self, Free Association Books, London, 2006) and to (Holzkamp, 1983. Grundlagen der Psychologie. Frankfurt a.M.: Campus.) concept of restrictive and generalized agency in a context of socially constituted norms.

This study aims to describes the implications of the issuance of the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology (Permenkominfo) no. 14/2016 on Local Government PR, especially districts / municipalities. Researcher explore how the perception of Government PR Officials, how the placement of Local Government PR on thestructure of Local Government Organization (OPD) and how the practice excellent PR by Local Government PR based on the principles of Excellence Theory with the implementation of Permenkominfo regulating the form, type, nomenclature, merging affairs, organizational structure, duties and functions of Field of Communication and Information. The Excellence Theory is one of the theories in the field of PR studies and is an effective standard of PR andexplains the ideal PR characteristics in an organization. Descriptive qualitative research method with in-depth interview data collection technique to the Communication and Information Management Officers and completed with document tracking. The results showed that the Communication and Information Management Officers have understood theregulation. However, not all Local Government have merged PR Division in the Dinkominfoas the implementation of Permenkominfo no. 14/2016. Placement of Local Government PRstill variations in OPD structure of each Local Government. Although it is found that theexcellent PR practice in general is good, but coordination needs to be done so that there is nooverlapping in task distribution in Field of Communication and Information Management in Local Government.

This study takes a cultural anthropological approach to address the use of music taste as an instrument of self-presentation on online dating platforms by examining the partnership between Spotify and Tinder, which not only allows Tinder users to pick an anthem from Spotify’s catalog, but also displays a list of “top artists” based on data aggregated through their activity on Spotify. Using Cheney-Lippold’s formulation of the “measurable type” and Bucher’s notion of “conscious clicking” as foundational frameworks, this paper offers the term “conscious listening” to explore the ways that users play with their music taste-based identities on Tinder. In order to better theorize this phenomenon, a wide array of thinkers ranging from communications, sociology, and data/platform studies are coalesced along with the results of in-depth interviews with 10 Tinder users to analyze the recent convergence of music streaming and social dating platforms.

Counseling is helpful for adolescents to overcome their problems. A good counselor needs to know the background of the counselee. The counseling based on client's background will be more successful. Therefore it is necessary to practice Islamic guidance and counseling in high schools. In addition, counselors who handle Islamic guidance and counseling activities also need to have knowledge of Islamic values. So this research will examine the understanding of guidance and counseling teachers (BK teachers) regarding Islamic values and the application of these Islamic values in group guidance and counseling activities. The research was conducted in three Islamic-based high schools in the DIY urban area. The two schools studied were six-year boarding schools with students of the same sex. The approach of the research was qualitative approach and it’s data collection technique was in-depth interview. The results showed that the teacher of guidance and counseling has sufficient knowledge of Islamic values and the application of these values in Islamic guidance and counseling. The application of these values has been carried out in two forms. First, Islamic values become material in the guidance process. The second, Islamic values become a method of group guidance and counseling.

Education is one of the basic things tha must be obtaned by citizen in every country. This research is motivated by there are complaints from parents who do not have time to prepare food for their children who attend school too late in the morning. However, there are students or teachers who come late and don’t break the rules. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of regent regulations related to school hours rules. The theory used in this research is the theory of Edward III which includes communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The research method use is descriptive research reluctant to use qualitative approach. The data collection technique is direct observation, in-depth interview, library study, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of the study show that the policy of school hours at 06.00 is not appropriate to be implemented. Therefore, some improvements are needed regarding the policy regulations.

This research is done to describe the process of participative maintenance by ‘sekolah lapang konservasi’ in the upstream area of Sub Watershed Pusur, so we can understand the condition of Farmers in the Mriyan village, and to understand the impact of the participative maintenance of Sub watershed Pusur in the Mriyan village that will be observed from the actualization of farmer participation in Mriyan Village. This research used qualitative approach with descriptive strategy in Mriyan Villages Sub District Musuk District Boyolali. The location is choosen because of the topography of the area as a water absorption area and water catchment area along the Sub Watershed Pusur. The data collection technique uses in depth interview method, focus group discussion, and participative observation. After all the data is collected, then data will be analyzed to form a finding that Skolah Lapang Konservasi is a kind of community participation in Mriyan village in maintaining Sub watershed Pusur conservatively. The people of Mriyan’s support is actualized in the form of konservasi field school, the effort and the decision making, that are actively in charge in social learning, net working, and maintaining the resource of thee people. From this thing, the maintenance will impact various aspect, such as: the sustainability of Sub Watershed Pusur, the emergence of collective institutional of the people who care about Sub watershed Pusur, and pushing the stakeholders in caring for Sub Watershed Pusur with the principality of conservation.

This research focus on Subang Regency, West Java Province. This research objective is to knowing, discuss, and descripting about society appreciation of President/Vice President debates on television. This research using descriptive analytical with quantitative approach and supported by qualitative approach, the data collection technique using questionnaire, depth interview, literature study, and observation at research location. The result, majority of respondent classified as productive ages who has a fairy high political sensitivity. The agree and have need of President/VP debates show at television, although the debates show have a short running time, but the effect can increase the knowledge and insight about 2014 election, and can grow awareness and political maturity, can knowing the figure and debates topic to needed by society, include the work program and political appointments, knowing political image, popularity and capability of President/VP candidates. To popularity, closely related with electability but not can get the electability automatically, because one of candidate not have the popularity but they have the electability. Therefore the debates show need to be scheduled, not only at during campaign season, can be scheduled out of campaign season yet. Keyword: appreciation, debates candidate, popularity, electability   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berfokus di Kabupaten Suang, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan adalah untuk mengetahui, membahas dan mendeskripsikan tentang apresiasi masyarakat terhadap acara debat Capres/Cawapres melalui televisi. Penelitian ini sifatnya deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kuantitaif ditunjang kualitatif yang dipusatkan di Kabupaten Subang Jawa Barat. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket, wawancara mendalam, studi kepustakaan dan pengamatan langsung di lapangan. Hasilnya, sebagian besar responden tergolong usia produktif yang memiliki kepekaan terhadap dunia politik cukup tinggi. Mereka setuju dan perlu dengan acara debat Capres/Cawapres melalui televisi, alasannya walaupun acara debat waktunya pendek, tapi efek (manfaat) nya dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan tentang Pilpres 2014, serta dapat menumbuhkan kesadaran dan kedewasaan berpolitik. Kemudian dapat mengetahui figur dan tema debat yang dibutuhkan masyarakat, termasuk di dalamnya program kerja dan janji politik. Selanjutnya mengetahui pula tentang citra politik, popularitas dan kapabilitas, popularitas dan elektabilitas Capres/Cawapres. Untuk popularitas erat sekali kaitannya dengan elektabilitas, tapi tidak otomatis memperoleh elektabilitas, sebab yang memiliki popularitas tidak otomatis memperoleh elektabilitas, sebab kenyatannya ada yang tidak memiliki popularitas tapi memperoleh elektabilitas. Untuk itu acara debat perlu diagendakan, tidak hanya diselenggarakan pada musim kampanye pilpres, tapi juga dapat dilaksanakan di luar musim kampanye. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the treasurer certification policy in the APBN management work unit at KPPN Medan II. This study uses a qualitative approach where the researcher is the key instrument, the data collection technique is trangulation (observation, interviews, and documentation), the data obtained tend to be qualitative data, the data analysis is qualitative, and the results of qualitative research are to understand the meaning and construct phenomena. implementation of the treasurer certification policy. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the treasurer certification policy has not yet reached the ideal condition, namely the achievement of all certified treasurers no later than 4 years since Presidential Regulation Number 7 of 2016 concerning Certification of Treasurers of the State Budget Management Work Unit comes into force. This is due to inconsistencies in policy implementation due to the non-compliance of the Head of the Work Unit in fulfilling the commitments in the Statement of Ability for the Treasurer to take the treasurer certification at the first opportunity. In addition, the incentive indicator is also one of the inhibiting factors for treasurers from participating in treasurer certification because treasurers feel that the workload, risks, and responsibilities are not balanced with the rewards received and the treasurer's career path is unclear.
