This study aims to find out what are the obstacles faced in managing archives in the administration section and the things that are done to optimize the management of inactive dynamic records. The method in this research is qualitative and data collection is obtained by observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of this study indicate that the management of archives in the Administration of Vocational High Schools has not been carried out optimally because there are still obstacles such as manual information systems in managing archives, uncluttered workspace layout, limited archive storage space, limitation of supporting infrastructure for archiving. and limited human resources in managing records. Based on the results of these studies, the archive management system is still not optimal and needs to be paid attention by the leadership so that archive management can be well organized and effective.

This research is aimed at identifying and analyzing the roles of Quality Management System (QMS) towards the productive teachers’ performance of SMKN 2 Jember. The hypothesis of this research says Quality Management System (QMS) is partially significant effect on performance. The population of the research is productive teachers of SMKN 2 Jember. This research uses survey technique for sampling taken as a whole from the total population of productive teachers of SMKN 2 Jember. The samples of the population are 50 respondents of productive teachers of SMKN 2 Jember. The methods of data collection of this research are observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The implications of research findings may contribute to the development of academic sciences and practitioners. The result of this research is to improve the productive teachers’ performance which is consistent with the concept of human resources and the aspects of the Quality Management System towards productive teachers’ performance which has partially significant effect on their performance.

This research aims to identify the planning implementation, identify the implementation, and identify the evaluation of the implementation of the Occupational Health And Safety Management System (SMK3) at the workshop of Construction and Property Engineering Study Program, one of the Vocational High Schools in Central Java. This research is qualitative by using data collection techniques in interviews, observations, and documentation the validity of the data using source triangulation. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative. The results show that the workshop building at one of the Vocational High Schools in Central Java has been well planned in its implementation of OHS. The implementation of OHS is categorized as quite well implemented. The evaluation of the implementation of OHS is categorized as quite well done. Hence, the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management system at the Vocational High Schools needs to be improved. The school can collaborate with stakeholders to follow up on the management system of OHS.

In the management of Islamic Education Institutions based on management, efforts are needed to improve the quality of comprehensive human resources so that the quality of human beings in Indonesia can adapt well with the development of technology and times (Mutohar, 2014). Therefore Islamic Educational Institutions need a system that helps consumers get information. The information provided aims to provide better communication so that the program of Islamic Education institutions achieving educational goals will become smoother (Yukl, 2017). The implementation of this management concept has 3 key elements including customer satisfaction, service quality and customer loyalty (Kunaifi, 2016). In this case customer satisfaction with information obtained at the time of learning activities becomes importantThis satisfaction increases consumer loyalty at school. This study aims to provide an overview and information system that facilitates the public to receive better communication. This study also examines more deeply how information systems are able to provide satisfaction and increase loyalty to consumers of Islamic Education Institutions. This study uses qualitative data collection methods, namely research procedures that produce descriptive data in the form of information directly, in depth, unstructured. This research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. Primary data sources were obtained from information in the form of interviews with related parties handling the Integrated Information System including the Deputy Principal for Student Affairs, Deputy Principal for Public Relations, IT team and Principal. Secondary data obtained from data that already exists and previous and has a relationship problem that is examined includes the existing literature. The population of the research sample was the guardians of students in SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. Data collection techniques include interviews and Literature studies. Interviews were conducted with open-ended questions. Literature study is done by reading literature books, journals, internet and previous research that has been done before. From the analysis and results of the discussion obtained it can be concluded as follows: Integrated information systems have good benefits to schools so that schools can develop marketing and community trust as well-facilitated schools. The existence of an integrated information system can be an added value in increasing the satisfaction and loyalty of guardians of students, students and stakeholders who are interested in the school environment. Integrated information systems always experience developments in accordance with the technology that developed in that year. Therefore, competent funding and human resources are needed in managing the system.

The research aims to evaluate the implementation of the character education strengthening program (CESP) of vocational high schools (VHS) throughout Yogyakarta City. The evaluation is carried out in the functions of (1) planning, (2) implementation, and (3) evaluation. It is descriptive qualitative research. In this study, the researchers collected information related to the implementation of CESP that was available at the time of the research. The subjects are school principals, vice principals, and teachers. The determination of the subjects was carried out by using the snowball sampling technique. The evaluation uses the discrepancy model, which looks for the gap between planning and implementation. The research sample is four vocational high schools in Yogyakarta City. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validation used the source and collection triangulation. The data analysis used the descriptive techniques, carried out during data collection and after completing data collection within a certain period. The findings show that: (1) the CESP planning consists of elements of: initial assessment, CESP socialization, vision and mission, policy design, and CESP design, with an average score of 2.74, which means that it is good; (2) the implementation the CESP consists of the elements including: development of CESP in learning, development of school culture, community participation, and implementation of the main values of CESP, with an average score of 2.98, which means that it is in a good category; and (3) the evaluation of the CESP has an average score of 2.50, which means that it is in a good category. The results of this study are recommended as the material for the consideration for mapping the implementation of CESP, determining education office policies related to character education, developing CESP models, as a reference for character research, and as materials for discussions regarding character education.

Abstract. This research is motivated by indications of funds that should be funded by government funds, but still taken from the community. This study aims to look at the level of effectiveness of the School Operational Assistance Fund (BOS) in State Vocational High Schools (SMKN) in Bandung City. The approach in this study uses quantitative, and descriptive research methods. The population in this study were all State Vocational High Schools (SMKN) throughout Bandung as many as 15 State Vocational High Schools (SMKN). This research is census research. So that all populations will be sampled. Data collection techniques using documentation and interviews. Furthermore, the data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. The results of the study state that the effectiveness of the school operational assistance fund (BOS) in state vocational high schools (SMKN) throughout Bandung is quite effective with a percentage of 88.67%. Keywords. effectiveness; school operational assistance fund AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya indikasi dana yang seharusnya didanai oleh dana pemerintah, tetapi masih diambil dari masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  melihat tingkat Efektivitas Dana Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS) di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri (SMKN) Se-Kota Bandung. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif, dan metode penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri (SMKN) se-kota Bandung sebanyak 15 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri (SMKN). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian sensus. Sehingga semua populasi akan dijadikan sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi dan wawancara. Selanjutnya teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa tingkat efektivitas dana bantuan operasional sekolah (BOS) di sekolah menengah kejuruan negeri (SMKN) se-kota Bandung tergolong cukup efektif dengan persentase 88.67%. Kata Kunci. efektivitas; dana bantuan operasional sekolah

This study aimed to identify the relevance of vocational high school curriculum with the industrial needs particularly related to batik making competences. The data collection was carried out through a survey to 35 batik industries within Priangan area, West Java province, Indonesia. The instrument employed was a questionnaire consisting of batik making competence units based on Standar Kompetensi Kerja Nasional Indonesia (SKKNI), Indonesia National Performance Competence Standards. The respondents of the study were owners of the batik industries requested to measure competence standards on SKKNI in relation to the competences needed within batik industry. The results of the study showed that in general, the competences on the SKKNI taught in vocational high schools were relevant to the competences needed in the industry. There were a few competences classified irrelevant which were Canting and stamping tools. The findings indicated that the competences taught in the schools are in accordance with the standards set in the SKKNI. It is expected that teachers are able to strengthen the competences taught in schools and regularly coordinate with the industry to keep the curriculum updated.

Vocational High Schools are concerned with human resources development to cope the requirements of fast developing market. Indonesian education is still not comprehensive as it emphasizes on the hard skills and neglects the soft skills and eventually the graduates find difficulty to compete in the workforce. In preparing competent human resources as expected by the industry, the prioritised programs to be undertaken by the Vocational High Schools are (1) conducting the teaching factory program; (2) collaborative programs with the industry that consist of: field practices, internship (on the job training), industrial visits, recruitments, industrial classes; and (3) stakeholders’ guidance related to workforce.Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) sebagai salah satu pemegang peranan penting dalam penyiapan tenaga kerja dituntut untuk selalu dapat mengikuti kebutuhan pasar yang terus berkembang. Sekolah yang ada di Indonesia belum membentuk lulusan yang mempunyai dua keterampilan yaitu hard skillsdan soft skillsdan pada akhirnya lulusannya akan sulit bersaing di dunia kerja.Dalam menyiapkan tenaga kerja yang berkompeten sesuai harapan industri, SMK dapat melaksanakan program-program kegiatan yaitu: (1) program teaching factory; (2) Jalinan kerjasama dengan industri yang berbentuk: pengelolaan prakerin yang baik, magang (on the job training), pengelolaan kunjungan industri, rekruitmen tenaga kerja, penyelenggaraan kelas industri; dan (3) Penyuluhan dan pembinaan dari stake holder terkait dengan ketenagakerjaan.

This research was aimed in order to know the implementation of 2013 Curriculum at Contruction Technical Drawing Competence on the aspects of: (1) Teachers’s standard of assessment, (2) The standard of teacher and education staff in this case the competence of teacher and headmaster, (3) The standard of facilities. This research is comprise to desriptive and quantitative research. The populationo this research was the entire of State Vocational High Schools in DKI Jakarta which have implemented 2013 Curriculum. There were 3 schools as research sample which was gotten by simple random sampling method. The respondents consisted of 3 vice principals of Curriculum, 3 head of contructrion technical drawing competence, and 10 representative students of each teacher in the school. The data collection of this research was gotten by questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The result of this research showed that the aspects of : (1) the teacher’s standard of assessment at the schools whic implemented 2013 Curriculum reached the average 83 % in very good criteria, (2) the standard of teachers and education staff reached the average 83 % in very good criteria for teachers competence, and the average 73 % in good criteria for headmaster competence, (3) the standard of facilities that support the implementation of 2013 Curriculum reached the average 94 % in very good criteria
