Mathematical communication ability is an important ability to have students. This is because by having these abilities, students can communicate ideas or mathematical ideas both orally and in writing. However, based on preliminary studies in the form of mathematical communication and class observation tests conducted by researchers in one class at SMP Negeri 8 Kota Tangerang Selatan showed that students' mathematical communication ability is still low. The efforts that can be done is to apply a model of learning that can train and cultivate students' mathematical communication ability by applying the learning cycle 5e  model. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the average of improvement mathematical communication skills of students who get a learning model learning cycle 5e higher than students who obtain conventional learning. This type of research is quasi experiment. The research design used is a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this research are the students of class VII.1, VII.2, and VII.3 SMP Negeri 8 Kota Tangerang Selatan and the sample is the students of class VII.2 as the experimental class and class VII.3 as the control class. The sampling technique used random cluster sampling. Hypothesis testing of research done by the parametric test (t-test). In this research, it can be concluded that the average improvement mathematical communication ability of students who get the learning cycle 5e model is higher than students who get conventional learning. Keywords:  Mathematical communication skill, learning cycle 5e model, quasi-experiment

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model learning cycle terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas III SD Negeri Harja Mekar 03 Kec. Cikarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan metode penelitian quasi experiment dan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Populasi yang digunakan adalah 44 siswa dengan jumlah sampel kelas eksperimen 23 siswa dan kelas kontrol 21 siswa. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 0,05. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 82,17 lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas kontrol sebesar 79,38. Hasil dari pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t yang diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu 17,51 > 1,68023artinya Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini adalah model learning cycle memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas III. This research is intended to know the influence of the use of learning cycle model to science process skill of third grade students of SD Negeri Harja Mekar 03 Kec. Cikarang. This research uses quantitative approach, with quasi experiment research method and research design nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The population used was 44 students with the total sample class of 23 students and control class of 21 students. The analysis technique used is t-test with significant level of 0.05. The result of the research shows that the mean value of posttest of experimental class is 82,17 higher than the mean of posttest of control class is 79,38. The result of hypothesis testing by using t-test obtained thitung> ttable that is 17,51> 1,68023artinya Ho rejected and H1 accepted. The conclusions obtained in this study is the learning cycle model has a significant influence on the science process skills of students on science subjects class III.

This research is motivated by the importance of mathematical communication ability. Mathematical communication ability of students is still low. In order that this problem can be solved, a learning model that can enhance mathematical communication ability of students is required. In this research, CORE model learning with scientific approach was selected. This study aims to analyze the enhancement of mathematical communication ability. This research was a quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The population was students in eighth grade in one of the junior high schools in Jambi.  The sample consisted of two classes which were selected by purposive sampling. The instrument of this research is a test of mathematical communication ability. The data were analyzed by using Independent t-test. Based on the data analyzed, it is found that: The enhancement of mathematical communication ability of students who received the CORE learning model with scientific approach is better than the enhancement of students who received conventional learning.

Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang belajar dengan model learning cycle 7e dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional, 2) untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang memiliki kemandirian belajar tinggi, sedang dan rendah, 3) untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat interaksi antara model learning cycle 7e dan kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experiment dan desain yang digunakan adalah the non equivalent post-test only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 31 Pekanbaru yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan sampel kelas VII.1 dan VII.2. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, angket, dan obeservasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah soal post-test kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, angket kemandirian belajar dan lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t dan anova dua arah. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data di dapat kesimpulan bahwa: 1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang belajar dengan model learning cycle 7e dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional di SMPN 31 Pekanbaru, 2) tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis antara siswa yang memiliki kemandirian belajar tinggi, sedang dan rendah  3) tidak terdapat terdapat interaksi antara model learning cycle 7e dan kemandirian belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.

Generic science skills of students are still rarely measured by teachers and learning models Learning Cycle 7E was still rarely applied by teachers as a model of learning in schools, then conducted research with the aim to determine the effect of learning cycle model 7E on generic skills science students on environmental pollution material in SMP Negeri 1 Balongan Indramayu. This research was a quantitative research using True-Experimental Design design with Posttest-Only Control Group design. The population in this study is the entire class VII SMP Negeri 1 Balongan indramayu consisting of 11 classes with a total of 352 students. Sampling technique using Probability Sampling technique Cluster Random Sampling type obtained grade VII H as experimental group and grade VII A as control group. Instrument in this research in the form of test of skill of generic science skill student which amounted to 5 problem. Based on the research result, it was found that the average in the experimental class is 74 and the control class is 63,75. With a significant level (α) = 0.05 and degrees of freedom (db) 62 obtained tcount = 28.29 and ttable = 2,000. Because tcount> ttable, then reject Ho. This means that the 7E learning cycle model influences the generic skills of students' science on environmental pollution material in SMP Negeri 1 Balongan Indramayu

This research aims to determine the effect of experimental based learning cycle 5E model to the critical thinking ability of physics students class XI SMAN 1 Gerung. This research is a quasi experimental research with design called "untreated control group design with pretest and posttes". The population in this study is all students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Gerung, and sampling technique using purposive sampling. There are two samples taken are class XI MIPA-3 as experiment class and XI MIPA-2 as control class. The data collection critical thinking ability using the technique to description of 6 questions. Based on the result, it is found that the average posttest of experimental critical thinking ability is 70,28 and control class is 62,39. The obtained data were first tested for normality and homogeneity. Both classes were normally distributed and homogeneous, followed by hypothesis testing using statistical test (t-test polled variance). The hypothetical test of critical thinking ability was obtained by  of 3.38, of 1.99 at significant level of 0.05, because   is greater than  , H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion of this research, there is influence of experimental based learning cycle 5E model to the critical thinking ability of physics learners class XI SMAN 1 Gerung.

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of the Learning cycle 5E assisted by Mind map on the factual and conceptual knowledge of grade V elementary school students on the learning of science. This type of research is quantitative research. The research method used was quasi experimental with the type of matching the pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was elementary school XIX Bengkulu City. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. The sample in this study is the VA class SDN 69 Bengkulu City totaling 30 students as the experimental class and the VB class SDN 72 Bengkulu City totaling 25 students as the control class. The research instrument used in this study was in the form of mind map quality assessment sheets and factual and conceptual knowledge assessment test sheets in the form of multiple choice given at the pre-test and post-test. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative analysis using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, the t-test. The research data obtained tcount> ttable, namely factual knowledge 2.31> 2.01 and conceptual knowledge 3.30> 2.01. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of the 5E Learning cycle model with a mind map to the factual and conceptual knowledge of students in the learning of science class V in elementary school.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode edutainment terhadap kemampuan klasifikasi anak kelompok A Taman Kanak-Kanak Gugus IV Kecamatan Buleleng. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh anak kelompok A Taman Kanak-Kanak Gugus IV Kecamatan Buleleng yang berjumlah 96 orang. Dalam menentukan sampel digunakan teknik cluster sampling. Adapun sampel penelitian ini adalah kelompok A TKK Santo Rafael sejumlah 19 orang sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok A TK Ganesa sejumlah 16 orang sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data kemampuan klasifikasi dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan teknik statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji-t) dengan rumus polled varians. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif, rata-rata kemampuan klasifikasi pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 58,53 yang termasuk kategori sangat tinggi, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 38,44 yang termasuk kategori rendah. Dari hasil analisis dengan uji-t diperoleh thitung sebesar 9,761 dan ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan dk = 33 sebesar 2,042, sehingga thitung > ttabel, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan metode edutainment terhadap kemampuan klasifikasi anak kelompok A Taman Kanak-Kanak Gugus IV Kecamatan Buleleng Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018.Kata Kunci : kemampuan klasifikasi, metode edutainment This research is aimed to find out the effect of edutainment method for children’s classification ability at group A of Kindergarten in Gugus IV of Buleleng Sub-district. This research belongs to quasi experiment with non equivalent control group. The population of this study is 96 children’s of Kindergarten at group A in Gugus IV of Buleleng Sub-district. This study makes use of cluster sampling technique in determining the sample of the study. The followings are the sample of the research: 19 children’s of group A in TKK Santo Rafael as the experiment group and 16 children’s of group A in TK Ganesa as the control group. The data of classification ability is collected by observation method which uses an instrument called observation sheet. The obtained data is analyzed by using the technique of descriptive statistic and inferential statistic (t-test) with the formula of polled varians. Based on the result of descriptive analysis, the average in experiment group is 58,53 in which it can be categorized as extremely high category, whereas the average in control group is 38,44 that can be categorized as low category. From the result of analysis which uses t-test, it is obtained the tcount is 9,761 and ttable in the level of significance is 5% with dk = 33 is about 2,042, it can be concluded that tcount > ttable, so H0 is refused and H1 is accepted. It means that there is significant effect of edutainment method for children’s classification ability at group A of Kindergarten in Gugus IV of Buleleng Sub-district in the academic year of 2017/ 2018.keyword : classification ability, edutainment method

This study aims to determine the effect of learning cycle 7E model on physics learning outcomes of students of class XI SMAN 8 Mataram. The type of this research is experimental research with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is all students of class XI SMAN 8 Mataram academic year 2017/2018. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique, with class XI MIA 1 students as experiment class and XI MIA 2 class student as control class. The instruments used are multiple choice test and observation sheet. Based on the result of research, the average value for pretest of experiment class and control class is 26,783 and 28,333 while for the average of post-test of experiment class and control class is 60,696 and 52,667. The research hypothesis was tested by t-test with a significant level of 5%. Data of learning result analyzed by using t-test of two parties obtained taccount equal to 2,071 and ttable equal to 1,679 at degree of freedom is 45. According to the criteria of the hypothesis test, if taccount greater than ttable, then Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. So it can be concluded that there is influence of Learning Cycle 7E model to physics learning result of class XI SMAN 8 Mataram.

Abstract. This study aims to determine students' mathematical communication skills using the Circuit Learning learning model. This research is a Quasi Experiment study with the design of the Randomized Subjects Posstest Only Control Group Design. The study population was all students of class X SMA N 1 Pasir Penyu. The sampling technique uses random sampling. The instrument used was a mathematical communication ability test in the form of a description. Data were analyzed statistically by the Independent Samples T-Test. Based on the results of the t test, tcount in the rejection area of H0 can be concluded that the mathematical communication skills of students taught with the circuit learning learning model are better than conventional learning.Keywords: Mathematical Communication, Circuit Learning.
