Coursebook is seen as a complete package of instructional material for teaching and learning process. It provides a framework for teachers, learning objectives and source of materials for students. In relation to this matter, this study exposed the analysis of English course book namely When English Rings a Bell (2017 Revised Version). The analysis was focused on the content of the course book to see if it matched the newest curriculum applied in Indonesia and can facilitate the English teaching process in grade seven. Checklist method was chosen since it was easier to be developed and more practical to be used. The checklist developed covered the relevance of the materials to the curriculum and syllabus, topic, language skills, supporting learning materials, language, and practical activities.

Teaching and learning interaction ins chools is an interactive activity and the various components to realize the achievement of learning objectives have been established in the learning planning, to get there, first it need to be understood about the meaning of the term learning, teaching and interaction. These three terms will lead to the definition of teaching and learning interaction. The utilization of information technology in the making and using of interactive multimedia in learning in school be judged very effective in supporting the learning materials delivery. The use of interactive multimedia in the learning in school is one of solution to relieve stiffness, saturation, and the vacuum of students in learning so many kinds of subject in school. By steps and the process of the use of the right interactive multimedia, using interactive multimedia as the messaging media will stimulate thought, feelings, concerns and wishes of student so as to encourage the learning process more interactive and communicative and can enhance students learning experiences become more concrete.

The quality of educational institutions is influenced by teaching and learning process that is students and lecturers. Novalita (2006) state that to learn a language the learners need more than just once or twice, but they need many time to understand the language, the real meaning of the language, the structure of the language, and so on. There is no good strategies in teaching process, but suitable strategy which is can be used in the teaching process. Therefore, every teacher or lecturer should master many strategies in the teaching and learning process. Some strategies can be applied to some students or learners, but it can’t be applied to all of students or learners. he goal of this study is to observe how the teacher implements English teaching instruction at English language center (PKPBI). Besides that, what are the material used and the way how teacher evaluates and also how do the learners perceive the English teaching instruction at English language center (PKPBI) of Maulana Malik Ibrahim state Islamic university of Malang. This study was a qualitative research because this study is a case study which focuses on teaching process. The data collections used in this study were observation, interview, and documentation. In order to analyze the data collected in the research project and answer the core questions of the study, it was used the grounded theory. The researcher found that the contents of the material used was reading section characterized by provision of an English reading text on mathematic-content-related area followed by writing exercises. The teacher implement English teaching instruction with the aim of answering the question, it can be concluded that for the beginning of teaching, there were a big amount of mistakes with the guidance and no explicit implementation of grammatical aspects during the lessons, because the teacher intents to present language items as in a regular language course. The balance between content and language was not easy to manage either, because in some situations the teacher tends to focus more in language or in content. The teacher evaluate by her choice of evaluation. She felt confused and scared at the beginning of the experience. About perceiving of the learners, the researcher concluded that the students feel challenging with the process of teaching and learning in the class, they also interesting with because they can continued applied what they learn. Key words: Teaching instruction, Non-English learners

Pandemic Covid-19 brings impactful aspects for several sectors, especially in the education sector. The teaching and learning process has shifted to online learning. It quite challenges the teachers as well as the students to fully support the success of the online classes.Teachers are required to be more creative in delivering the learning materials that will be given to their students. Meanwhile, students are encouraged to be autonomous learners. This paper aims to investigate the students’ perceptions toward the implementation of the ZOOM application to support the online learning process and explore how this application gives a new shape in the educational industry. The qualitative approach was chosen for this study. The data were obtained from questionnaires and interviews. Based on the findings, there are some perceptions about the implementation of ZOOM to support online learning. The result showed that most students thought implementation of e-learning should be improved continuously. Surprisingly, it gave significant changes toward the learning and teaching process, especially during covid-19 itself.

The article discusses the main purposes and features of language testing that should be considered by university teachers in the classroom. The paper also demonstrates what test types can be used for assessing learners’ language skills, and provides some suggestions on their use in the teaching and learning process.

2013 Curriculum considered as new curriculum in Indonesia. In this curriculum, students demanded to be active and creative during learning process. Thus, teacher also needs to be creative in arranging the teaching and learning process. This research aims at finding out (1) the teachers’ implementation of 2012 curriculum in English teaching process; (2) the teachers’ and students roles in English teaching and learning; and (3) the impact of 2013 curriculum in English teaching and learning. This research design was descriptive qualitative research. The researcher used qualitative observation and interview as the data collection technique. The subject were three English teachers of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo. The activity in analyzing data were reduction, display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The findings of the research showed that the implementation of 2013 curriculum in English teaching process did not completely successful. It showed from the data findings, there were positive and negative impact of the 2013 curriculum implementation in English teaching process at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo. The creativity of English teacher in arranging learning activities will create a good learning situation and increase the students understanding towards the learning material.

Teaching and learning process can not be separated from textbooks that play an important role as a reference for teachers and students. A good textbook must be representative of the curriculum that applies both the material and teaching methods so that learning objectives are achieved. Arabic textbooks in the 2013 curriculum use a scientific approach, but grammar material has not been explained in detail so that it affects students' competence to improve language skills. So the researcher developed a book for grammar material based on a scientific approach to improve writing skills. This study aims to develop books based on a scientific approach and determine the effectiveness of the books developed. The results obtained from this study are that the books developed have scored between 80-100% which means very good and can be used in learning without any improvement. While the effectiveness aspect obtained a significance value of around 10.93 which shows that the textbook for grammatical material based on scientific approach is effective to improving students’ writing skills.

It influenced the internalization of Islamic Educationvalues to students. According to the above background, contextual approach was assumed to create amore meaningful and effective teaching and learning process. The study revealed that most teachersdeveloped instructional material merely based on Teacher Association for Islamic EducationReference, a discrepancy between lesson plan and the implementation was found due to insufficienttime and too-much material, and a problem in applying various methods was found due to student’sbasic competence diversity ranging from the 75-80% to 20-25% mastery creating less conduciveatmosphere for effective teaching and learning process. The media is a communication tool for teacher interaction with students which is a series of teaching and learning activities in schools. In the learning process the teacher has obstacles in conveying knowledge to students. The teacher needs media to be able to help attract the attention of students so that learning objectives are achieved. Picture card learning media can help teachers effectively achieve learning objectives in the teaching and learning process. This study applies a picture card learning media to students in class V SD Negeri 4 Tanjung Aman. The aim is to find out the improvement in student learning outcomes after the teacher applies the pictorial card learning media to fifth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Tanjung Aman. In this study using a design that is the Initial Test - The Final Group Single Test (The One Group Pretest - posttest). The learning outcomes in this study were obtained by the fifth grade students before and after the implementation of the pictorial card media, to find out the improvement in the learning outcomes of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Tanjung Aman. shows that the mean or posttest average is higher than the pretest. Mean posttest 62.22 and mean pretest 46.25, so there is an increase in learning outcomes after the application of the pictorial card media to fifth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Tanjung Aman.

This research is basically focused on how to improve classroom interaction in Bhutanese classroom. Classroom Interaction is a practice that enhances the development of the two very important language skills which are speaking and listening among the learners. This device helps the learners to be competent enough to think critically and share their views among their peers. It is based on the notion that classroom interaction plays vital role in enhancing effective teaching and learning, improve academic performance, moreover to make learning atmosphere lively. Constructive teaching method, use of technology in the classroom, assessment and evaluation are some of the methods used to see the findings of the study.  There was a time when the traditional approach of teaching was adopted by most of the teachers, where the learner used to be dependent only on the lecture delivered by the teacher. They were not exposed to enough practice of speaking on their own and hence the interaction among the students in the classroom was almost absent. But as the education system changed with time so have the teaching methods. The education system now demands more student interaction rather than just listening to the instructor. Hence Classroom Interaction is very essential in today’s education system. There have been some researches done in the context of Bhutan. Nevertheless, on order to contextualize the discussion to the Bhutanese audience, the author has reviewed a few research studies done in the context of particular school. Classroom Interaction is a practice that enhances the development of the two very important language skills which are speaking and listening among the learners. This device helps the learners to be competent enough to think critically and share their views among their peers. Interaction is needed in the classroom activity. It helps the teaching and learning process run smoothly and it can increase learners' communication. It tells how the students have interaction among them and teacher even with the whole class. This study aims to give the teacher some suggestions to achieve classroom interaction in the teaching and learning process. It offers some strategies to improve the interaction in the classroom. Several studies show that classroom interaction is important in the teaching-learning process. Some studies show that the students' interaction happens in the classroom. By using classroom interaction, the students are more active in the learning process. The result of the study concludes that classroom interaction has an important role in the teaching and learning process. The purpose of this study is how to improve the quality of interactive classroom learning for the student’s academic achievement and learning outcomes. The teachers play an important role in imparting a student’s learning and creating quality classroom interaction. An interactive classroom learning environment is considered as one of the effective methods of learning which help the students learning process. Teachers’ main role is to design and plan his/her lesson in such way that students love sharing their learning with other because all learning development takes place in classrooms. As a teacher, we must carefully examine all the factors in mind which will help to enhance the students learning outcome. A warm and homely classroom environment improves academic performance, learning outcome, and a sense of pride and belonging of the students and as well the teachers.  “A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others”. As a teacher, teaching and learning is an important process, good teaching methods, strategic, Active involvement in learning, Interaction techniques, and a conducive environment will help students to learn things more rapidly. Qualitative data will be collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and descriptive. The interviews will be video record and transcribe. Data collected will be analyzed and present in descriptive form.

This study focussing on the use of code switching produced by instructors in English teaching and learning process based on Sosiolinguistics and language teaching point of view. This research uses qualitative method and records the process of teaching English and interviews the instructors and students as a technique of this research to find the importance of code switching. The data were transcripted and analyzed use the concepts of Wardhaugh and Suwito about types of code switching and functions of code switching use the concept of Margana. The research shows that there are 4 types of code switching intern, extern, metaphorical dan situasional code switching. Extern code switching are code switching from English to Indonesian (i.e. do you know what day is tomorrow? Besok hari apa?) and English to Manado Malay (i.e. you know what I mean? Mangarti nda?). Intern code switching is code switching from Manado Malay to Indonesian (i.e. besok hari libur jadi nda ada les. Lesnya nanti minggu depan). Metaphorical code switching is a code switching without any changing topic. Situasional code switching is a code switching with changing topic. Also, there are 7 types of code switching, they are repetition, clarification, exploration, explanation, giving assignment, checking students’ understanding and giving warning/suggestion. It can be concluded that there are 4 types of code switching produced by instructors in English teaching and learning process. They are extern, intern, metaphorical and situasional code switching. Besides, there are 7 functions of code switching. They are repetition, clarification, exploration, explanation, giving assignment, checking students’ understanding and giving warning/suggestion.Keywords : Code switching, Instructors utterences, English teaching and learning   process
