The future of the energy sector depends on the younger generation. The paper presents the results of the study, the aim of which was to determine to what extent younger generation is pro-ecological and pro-social, and whether they will include pro-ecological and pro-social activities in the management of energy companies. It is especially important to implement sustainable management in the energy sector. The study found that only 33.9% of young people are highly pro-ecological and 28.6% highly pro-social. As many as 83.0% of the younger generation show low and medium interest in environmental protection. Declarations of young people concerning high degree of inclusion of pro-ecological and pro-social activities in management are at the level of 49.9% and 58.1%. However, in many cases, these intentions do not coincide with the high pro-ecological and pro-social attitude of young people. This means that their future activity for sustainable management may be low. According to the survey, the younger generation to a large extent is not prepared to continue efforts for sustainable development in the future in the energy companies.

We investigate the social significance of the within group ('close') calls of gorillas by examining correlates of calling with dominance rank and with relatedness of adults, and by examining whether the outcomes of interactions between adults differ depending on the calls given during the interactions. In two wild gorilla groups, the majority of adults give most of their calls when near another adult and fully in sight of them. Thus gorillas' use 'close' calls as more than mere contact calls. An adult gorilla's use of 'close' calls correlates with its own and with its partner's dominance rank, with effects being most obvious for the most dominant animals, the fully adult males. Thus the proportion of 'double grunts', the most common 'close' call, in an individual's repertoire correlated consistently with dominance rank; all non-silverback adults gave a higher percent of double grunts in the presence of subordinates than they did near dominant animals; individuals were most likely to give 'non-syllabled' grunts in the adult male's presence; and they consistently exchanged calls at a higher rate with the adult males than with other group members. An adult's type of calls did not obviously differ depending on whether their neighbour was kin or non-kin, but kin were overall more likely to give calls in the presence of kin, and to exchange calls with kin than with non-kin, although the association was not consistent throughout the two years of the study. With regard to the consequences of calling, subordinates were less likely to be feeding one minute after an approach by a fully adult male during which calls were exchanged than during silent approaches. In contrast to findings from studies of some other species, calling did not correlate with duration of grooming. We suggest that, among other functions, gorillas' 'close' calls mediate social interactions. One form of calls, 'non-syllabled' calls, are interpretable as appeasement signals. The broadest interpretation of the 'double grunt' is that it is an exaggerated announcement of presence, whose function is to attract attention to the caller, and to signal conditional future activity.

Taranaki Basin is a proven petroleum producing region, with commercial quantities of hydrocarbons from late Eocene paralic and terrestrial sands, and Miocene-latest Pliocene shelf sands. Other sediments with sub-commercial hydrocarbon accumulations, shows or potential reservoir features have also been encountered. The paralic and terrestrial sediments were deposited during periodic shoreline fluctuations in the Paleogene and were capped by transgressive terrigenous and carbonate muds. Other sand bodies, generally of bathyal and shelf setting and representing increasing regional tectonism, are found throughout the late Eocene to Pliocene sequence. Paleogeographic reconstructions depicting the maximum sand development during the Paelocene to Pliocene provide potential sandstone reservoir maps. These highlight onshore Taranaki and the Eocene paleoshoreline trend as areas of greatest prospectivity. Future activity should also consider the potential of the relatively unexplored late Cretaceous-Paleocene and Pliocene sandstone sequences.

A recorded review subsequently gathers encounters of the past and passes them onto decide the course of our future activity. The instruction arrangement of the Muslims, throughout the hundreds of years delivered those thinkers, researchers, legal scholars, themen of letters and specialists in each field of information, who had made inconceivablecommitments to workmanship, writing, verse, logic, medication, space science, geology, material science, speculative chemistry, mineralogy, legislative issues, and so on. These richMuslims have commitments which made in the different branches of science filled in as areason for the improvement of the present day science. None of these accomplishmentswould have been conceivable however for that dedication to learning and instruction whichhas described those individuals all through the history. The proposed research through thedeductive approach is an attempt to investigate the training arrangement of the Muslims, itsideological bases esteems and qualities which affects the knowledge of the world positively. At the House of Wisdom, Important ideas from around the world came together and wouldbe discussed threadbare. The period of Abbasid caliphs was the age of the highest evolutionand greatest development of the Islamic society, knowledge and culture. The article considers the problem of qualitative selection and selection of candidates for service in the territorial bodies (divisions) of the Rosgvardiya. Psychological selection, together with its psychophysiological component, is a part of professional selection aimed at identifying such employees who, according to their moral, psychophysiological and psychological qualities, most correspond to the specific requirements of future activity. At the same time, highly effective psychological selection should have an integrated approach that corresponds to two principles, the first is the principle of differentiation and dynamism, the second is the reliability and prognosticality of the methods used. The experience of using a polygraph in the police in the course of personnel work is considered. The results of the study of candidates for work in private organizations and for service in the Rosgvardiya are presented. Professional psychological selection is also considered as a set of measures aimed at ensuring a high-quality selection of the organization's personnel based on an assessment of the compliance of the level of development of the necessary psychophysiological (individual) qualities and personality properties with the requirements of professional activity. The socio-psychological and personal characteristics of candidates identified in the process of psychodiagnostic research and negatively affecting their further service are summarized.

PurposeBuilding on theoretical foundation of personal information management (PIM) in information science, this paper seeks to understand how activity tracker users manage their personal health information generated by their devices and to elucidate future activity tracking technology in support of personal health information management (PHIM). This paper aims to discuss this issue.Design/methodology/approachThe authors conducted a web survey study with a specific group of activity tracker users – amateur runners. This survey collected both quantitative and qualitative data on participants’ engagement with activity tracking technology, their PHIM practices with the information generated by the technology and how their needs were being met by their activity tracking technology use and PHIM practices.FindingsAmateur runners surveyed in this study exhibit long-term engagement and frequent interaction with activity tracking technology. They also engage in PHIM practices by using a range of PHIM tools and performing various PHIM activities. Furthermore, they use activity tracking technology and engage in PHIM practices to meet various health/fitness-related needs and information needs, while some of these needs such as performance needs and overarching needs are only partially met or unmet.Originality/valueThis research discusses amateur runners as power users of activity tracking technology, provides timely updates to PIM and PHIM research in light of a new type of personal health information, and generates design considerations for future activity tracking technology in support of PHIM. It also brings together previously disparate research regarding everyday life PHIM in information science, human–computer interaction and health informatics.
