Rawakalong Village, Gunung Sindur Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, is a village at the end of the border between Bogor Regency and South Tangerang. This region has not been touched by the development of the community, especially the general public outside real estate developer. The village of Rawakalong borders directly with the city of South Tangerang, almost rarely gets the attention of the Regency Government so that some residents feel sectoral jealousy over the progress received by their neighboring Villages in South Tangerang. One community partner who has problems is Mpok Noncih who has been supporting his family by selling banana chips. However, the lack of awareness of the quality of the product and the importance of productivity made the team decide to create a campus circle building program in this place. Quality control is needed to reach consumers through production systems and packaging systems that are safe and attractive, storage systems so that quality is maintained, productivity to meet demand, and marketing for the branding image of premium quality local products. The outputs of the campus ring building program that have been implemented are premium product packaging with logos and brands “mpok nountjih” as product identity, improved product quality with the use of plastic zipper packaging systems and the use of sealer machines, increased productivity by providing large capacity pans and improving the environment by beautifying business locations. The outcome obtained from the campus circumference development grant is the increased brand image of the product making it easier to sell and more durable durability due to improved packaging quality.

The aim of this article is to understand the methodologies and theoretical approaches used by the teachers of the Institutions of Higher Education in the city of Maringá-PR to minister the discipline of the Production and Operations Management (POM). Abstract. Summarizing the scientific publications and production reports of enterprises that studied the environmental status of the Prut River in the last decades, as well as relevant reports in the periodical press and other media, it has been found that the quality of its water in the upper reaches is significantly deteriorating. The purpose of this article was to assess the quality of water in the Prut River in the upper flow according to various methods (including the complex of environmental indexes) to determine the degree of its pollution. The article presents the results of calculations of the complex ecological index (Ie) for assessing the water quality of the Prut river in the vicinity of the city of Yaremche. To establish sources of pollution of this river, an experimental study of the physical and chemical parameters of its water was carried out. A series of water samples from the Prut River in the area from the village Dora (suburb of Yaremche). upstream to the village Tatariv is studied laboratoryally. Samples were selected at six points of observation. The studies were conducted in two seasons: fall (september) and winter (january). The main pollutants and their concentrations in the selected samples are determined. Modern laboratory techniques and equipment are used for laboratory research. On the basis of laboratory examination of water samples from the river Prut in the upper reaches (the outskirts of the city of Yaremche) it was established that the water in this area is sufficiently clean; excess MPC value is not observed. An exception may be only a sample of water within the city of Yaremche, where there are increased concentrations of phosphates. It is also shown that winter water samples contain slightly more pollutants (including biogenic ions) than autumn. These facts may also be partly explained by the increase in airborne acid oxide emissions and their interaction with river water. According to the results of calculating the complex ecological index it was established that the Prut River water in the studied area belongs to the 2nd class of quality (the state is good). Separate samples from the control section within the city of Yaremche showed an increased value of the complex ecological index (Ie is 3.21 and 3.36 for the summer and winter series, respectively). The reason for this increase in the index is the pollution of the Prut River in the studied area due to the increase in anthropogenic pressure on it over the past years.

Over three years the postharvest quality of 'Marli' peaches harvested from the integrated (IFP) and conventional production (CFP) systems was evaluated. The peaches were harvested from commercial orchards of Prunus persica at two locations close to the city of São Jerônimo, RS, Brazil, and stored at 0.5°C for 10, 20 or 30 days. The peaches were evaluated at harvest, at retrieval from storage and after ripening periods at 20°C. No differences in fruit weight losses were determined. Decay incidence was low, and no differences were detected amongst systems in both 2001 and 2002 seasons, but in the 2000 season CFP peaches were more decayed. Flesh firmness of peaches from the IFP system were greater than CFP fruits in the years 2000 and 2001. In 2002, firmness changed little during storage and ripening. Peaches from the IFP in 2000 had higher titratable acidity and lower soluble solids. In the 2000 season, flesh browning was observed in decayed fruits, always at ripening after 20 or 30 days of cold storage Chilling injuries such as browning, woolliness and leatheriness ocurred in 2002. There were no differences amongst systems related to peach quality.

Tanzanian popular theatre consists of a dizzying variety of ‘traditional’ dances, plays, acrobatics, and musical acts that freely borrow from traditions across the globe. In a stark contrast to the fluidity of these performances, however, the plays maintain a rigid division between representations of the urban city and rural home. This demarcation operates along the gendered lines described by Anne McClintock, in which the village is coded as the feminized model of tradition in contrast to the ‘male’, modern world of the city, leading to stereotypical roles of the innocent rural girl and the lustful urban woman. At the same time, the participatory, improvisational quality of popular performance clears a space for the ‘unnatural’ urban women in the audience to resist these stereotypes. Also, the theatre troupe Muungano creates plays which challenge essentialist constructions of the primordial ‘home’, allowing complex interactions of geography and gender to be revealed and explored.
