UD. Budi Ayu merupakan salah satu industri kecil yang bergerak di bidang pengolahan material bahan bangunan berupa paving block dan batako dinding. Penelitian dilakukan karena adanya ketidakseimbangan beban kerja antar stasiun kerja dan keluhan rasa sakit yang dialami oleh para pekerja karena beban kerja yang berlebih. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis beban kerja tiap-tiap bagian dan menentukan jumlah tenaga kerja optimal serta untuk menganalisis keluhan rasa sakit di bagian tubuh yang dialami oleh para pekerja. Metode Workload Analysis digunakan untuk mengetahui beban kerja dari masing-masing pekerja. Metode work sampling digunakan untuk mendapatkan persentase waktu produktif sedangkan untuk mengetahui keluhan rasa sakit digunakan SNQ (Standard Nordic Questionnaire) yang dibagikan kepada para pekerja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka didapatkan bahwa hamper seluruh pekerja memiliki beban kerja lebih dari 100% kecuali pekerja 5 yang hanya memiliki beban 90,41%. Bagian batako dinding merupakan bagian yang memiliki beban kerja paling tinggi yaitu sebesar 123,2%. Beban kerja kerja yang tinggi ini jika dibiarkan secara terus menerus tanpa adanya perbaikan dapat berakibat pada fisik pekerja maupun kualitas hasil kerja. Usulan yang diberikan adalah menambah pekerja 1 orang dibagian batako dinding sehingga dapat mengurangi beban kerja dibagian tersebut dan dengan adanya penambahan pekerja tadi dapat di manfaatkan untuk membantu pekerjaan distasiun lain yang membutuhkan sedangkan Keluhan otot terbesar yang dialami pekerja selama bekerja yaitu pada tubuh bagian pinggang dengan persentase sebesar 12,70%. Kata Kunci: Beban Kerja, Work Sampling, Workload Analysis (WLA)

ABSTRACTThe crisis of high labor cost leads companies to evaluate the number of employees in the head office. This study aims to determine the workload and needs of employees in the Directorate of Operations PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII Head Office. The method used in this research is the analysis of the workload with the calculation of Full Time Equivalent (FTE) and work sampling using purposive sampling techniques. The ideal number of employees at the Directorate of Operations is 40 employees consisting of 21 employees of the Plant Department and 19 employees of the Engineering and Processing Department. Based on teh observation, employee working time in Directorate of Operations shows that the average of employee working time is 87,8 4percent fairly productive because it meets the standard that is above 85 percent.Keywords: workload analysis, job description, work sampling.ABSTRAKKrisis biaya tenaga kerja yang tinggi membuat perusahaan perlu mengevaluasi jumlah karyawan yang ada di kantor pusat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui beban kerja dan kebutuhan karyawan pada Direktorat Operasional PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis beban kerja dengan perhitungan Full Time Equivalent (FTE) dan work sampling dengan penarikan sampel yang menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah karyawan ideal pada Direktorat Operasional sebanyak 40 karyawan yang terdiri dari 21 karyawan Bagian Tanaman dan 19 karyawan Bagian Teknik dan Pengolahan. Berdasarkan pengamatan penggunaan waktu kerja karyawan pada Direktorat Operasional menunjukkan bahwa rataan persentase waktu produktif karyawan sebesar 87,84 persen. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan waktu kerja karyawan sudah optimal karena sudah memenuhi standar yaitu di atas 85 persen.Kata kunci: analisis beban kerja, uraian pekerjaan, work sampling.

Abstract: To provide an optimal nutrition care to the patients in a hospital, a proper human resource planning should be implemented. The workload indicators of staffing need (WISN) method is a health worker need calculation based on real workload in every facility. This study was aimed to assess the real need for cook in the Nutrition Department of Pancaran Kasih General Hospital Manado by using WISN method.This was an analytical observational study using quantitative method. Work sampling method was used to acquire the number of activity time for each cookand WISN method was used to calculate the need for cook. The population and samples in this study were 11 cooks from Nutrition Department in Pancaran Kasih General Hospital Manado; all were female. This study also used 6 informants consisted of the Vice Ancillary Hospital Director and Human Resource Department, Head of Human Resource Department, Head of Nutrition Department, and cooks to discuss about the cook staff human resources planning and the workload in the Nutrition Department. The result of the need for cooks using WISN method was 19. Currently,there were only 11 cooks in the Nutrition Department, which meant lack of eight from the calculated ideal. The calculation result for productivity proportion to workforce in Pancaran Kasih General Hospital Nutrition Department was 72.21% which was in normal baseline compared to standard productivity. To date, the hospital plan for cook need used ratio of beds and cooks method. Conclusion: There were eight cooks lacked at the Nutrition Department in Pancaran Kasih General Hospital, albeit, the workload was still within normal baseline, hence the need to add more staff was not urgent. The method to calculate manpower need of the hospital was not yet ideal because it only calculated the number of staffs inspite of the productivity level of staffs in the hospital. It is suggested to add male cooks since the workload was quite heavy and to consider the human resource planning using workload analysis in the future since it is more objective compared to ratio method.Keywords: cooks, WISN, nutrition department, hospitalAbstrak: Dalam upaya menjamin pelaksanaan pelayanan gizi yang optimal di rumah sakit diperlukan adanya perencanaan kebutuhan tenaga di Instalasi Gizi. Workload indicators of staffing need (WISN) adalah metode penghitungan kebutuhan sumber daya manusia (SDM) kesehatan berdasarkan beban kerja pekerjaan nyata yang dilaksanakan oleh tiap kategori SDM kesehatan pada tiap unit kerja fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan kebutuhan riil tenaga pemasak di Instalasi Gizi RSU Pancaran Kasih GMIM Manado dengan menggunakan meteode WISN.Jenis penelitian ialah observasional analitik dengan metode kualitatif. Metode work sampling digunakan dalam pengamatan untuk mendapatkan jumlah penggunaan waktu setiap aktivitas tenaga pemasak danmetode WISN untuk penghitungan kebutuhan tenaga pemasak. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ialahtenaga pemasak di Instalasi Gizi RSU Pancaran Kasih GMIM Manado yang berjumlah 11 orang berjenis kelamin perempuan. Penelitian ini dilengkapi dengan 6 informan terdiri dari Wakil Direktur Penunjang dan SDM, Kepala Bagian SDM, Kepala Instalasi Gizi, dan tenaga pemasak, yang membahas mengenai perencanaan tenaga pemasak dan beban kerja di Instalasi Gizi.Hasil penghitungan kebutuhan tenaga pemasak dengan metode WISN ialah 19 orang. Saat ini di Instalasi Gizi RSU Pancaran Kasih GMIM Manado memiliki tenaga pemasak sebanyak 11 orang, yang berarti masih kekurangan 8 orang tenaga pemasak. Hasil penghitungan proporsi waktu produktif terhadap beban kerja tenaga pemasak sebesar 72,21%, yang masih dalam batas normal menurut standar produktivitas. Saat ini perencanaan kebutuhan tenaga pemasak di RSU Pancaran Kasih GMIM Manado menggunakan metode rasio antara jumlah tempat tidur rumah sakit dengan jumlah tenaga pemasak.Simpulan: Terdapat kekurangan tenaga pemasak di Instalasi Gizi RSU Pancaran Kasih GMIM Manado sebanyak 8 orang, tetapi karena beban kerjanya masih dalam batas normal, maka penambahan tenaga pemasak sifatnya tidak mendesak. Metode perencanaan kebutuhan tenaga pemasak di RSU Pancaran Kasih GMIM Manado masih kurang tepat karena metode ini hanya mengetahui jumlah tenaga secara total tetapi tidak bisa mengetahui produktivitas SDM rumah sakit, dan kapan tenaga tersebut dibutuhkan oleh setiap unit atau bagian rumah sakit yang membutuhkan. Disarankan penambahan tenaga pemasak berjenis laki-laki karena pekerjaan di Instalasi Gizi cukup berat dan perencanaan kebutuhan tenaga kesehatan ke depan diharapkan menggunakan analisis beban kerja karena lebih obyektif daripada metode rasio.Kata kunci: tenaga pemasak, WISN, instalasi gizi, rumah sakit

The effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the company are very much determined by the workload. By knowing the workload, a company can find out the optimum number of workers needed to meet the target. This is also important for the Indonesian Coffee and Cocoa Research Center, especially in the processing of coffee in the packaging section. Therefore a workload analysis will be carried out using the Work Sampling Method. From the results of the work sampling method, it can be seen that worker productivity is 0.90697, as well as a rating factor of 0.09 and an allowance of 22.With these results it can be calculated that the standard time needed by workers in coffee packaging is 10.98 minutes and the optimum number of workers required 2.06 people.

Employees are valuable asset in an organization. The organization can be defined as two types namely a profit or nonprofit company, and government institution. Employees as a capital human for these organization have big roles for performance measurement. Performance measurement of employee is used to determine whether the worker has been working efficient or not. Workload analysis is defined as analysis of a set or number of activities that must be completed by an organizational unit or position holder within a certain period of time. In this research, it will show employee workload analysis using two approaches in order to complete each other. Firstly, work sampling method was used to determine workload in physically. Secondly, NASA-TLX was utilized to analyze workload in mentally. Pareto method will also take a part for analysis the research result to be more comprehensive. This research has conducted in an East Java’s University-Indonesia. The respondents are employees who have each job description to do their work in each position. The employee’s workload will be calculated both physical and mental. From 25 position observed, show the job position who has strategic characteristic mostly have very high mental workload whereas the job position who has operational characteristic mostly have high physical workload

ABSTRACTHuman resources are one of the most important components in a company. In the production process at the polishing section 3 PT. Surya Toto Indonesia still uses human labor and an ineffective workforce. So it is necessary to carry out research actions to determine the optimal number of workers. PT Surya Toto Indonesia is a company engaged in manufacturing which produces fittings, sanitary and kitchen set products. The objectives of this study include knowing the productive presentation of workers in a direct observation activity, to determine the standard time according to the observation time obtained, and to determine the optimal number of employees at Polishing 3.In this study, the optimal number of workers was calculated using Workload Analysis method where work measurement is carried out first to 10 workers using Work Sampling so that the standard time value will be obtained. The results of this study indicate that the yield of productive presentation is 71%. While the standard time obtained in this study was 13.53 minutes. The optimal number of employees is 8.85 people, which in this case can be equivalent to 9 people. So the workload analysis results show that the number of Polishing 3 employees is still not optimal.Keywords: Work Sampling, Workload Analysis, Optimal Number of Workers

Industrial competition demands that each company be effective and efficient, hence companies need to make optimal use of resources. The purpose of this research is to determine the productivity of the workers in completing their work and to discover how much workload is caused by the activities carried out. In addition, recommendations for improvements were also given as an effort to reduce the high rate of overtime hours and determine the appropriate number of the workforce at spare parts and raw materials division. The results showed that some workforces have an uneven workload. Meanwhile, based on the results of workload analysis, it can be seen that the workload of the warehouse feeder is classified as a high workload, which is 102%.
