This study aims to determine the level of readiness of the Batik Tulis Small and Medium Industry in Sidoarjo district in implementing One Village One Product (OVOP) by mapping the assessment criteria based on the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrices, as a first step in conducting analysis using the Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) method. OVOP is a way to develop the potential of an area that was pioneered by Dr. Morihiko Hiramatsu has succeeded in alleviating poverty in Japan's Oita Prefecture through the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) by motivating the economies of several developing countries albeit under different names. Base on the identification of the performance of 30 small and medium industries (SMI) spread across 5 batik centers, it can be seen that the level of readiness is 81%. The results of the 82 evaluation criteria means that the product quality is good and has been classified as 4 star even though the marketing area is only in the country. So that the value still needs to be increased on several indicators (A). Aspects of Production, Product and Community Development, (B). Marketing Aspects and Product History, (C). Aspects of Product Type, Quality, and Market Opportunities. Of the 25 indicators of OVOP product assessment for the batik category, when mapped in the IFE matrix, 8 are seen as strengths and 4 of weakness, while in the EFE matrix, 7 of opportunity and 6 of threats are seen.

In the manufacturing industries, the main problem in process of operating CNC milling machine was chatter effect (self-excited vibration) which increases the quality of the surface roughness. In this study is to determine optimal value of parameters for chatter and surface roughness. The chatter measured using accelerometer MPU-6050 with Arduino by software LabVIEW-2019 based on peaks-FFT value and the surface roughness measured by SJ-301 tester. The research parameters like variable helix angle, spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut using stainless steel 304 by Taguchi method. The optimum parameters value obtained are variable helix 35/38 degrees, spindle speed 3000 RPM, feed rate 150 mm/min and depth of cut 0.4 mm. Based on ANOVA value, the variable helix angle and depth of cut are found to be significant for chatter and surface roughness. The depth of cut was high contribution by ANOVA chatter by 93.84% and surface roughness by 91.93%.

The world is entering industry 4.0. The digital enlarges to machine maintenance known as troubleshooting. Troubleshooting is a series of actions needed to deal with machine damage treatment. Problems that often occur in troubleshooting are that technicians are not in the location, the information is still in the form of printed books, the risk of books being lost, books slipping, and the location of books far from the location of machine failure. This research was to solve this problem by developing an application called Production Machine Troubleshooting Information System (SITMEP) in relational database environment. This system was developed by integrating several methods such as machine damage knowledge obtained from tacit sourced from mechanical technicians, experts in their fields and explicit knowledge sourced from machine manual books. GT is to combine knowledge with machine hierarchies and it supports systems for database and SQL. The tool used was MS Access with VBA.

The plastic injection molding process is one of the widely used of the manufacturing process to manufacture the plastic product with high productivity. Moreover, the food packaging manufacturing industry undergoes the trials and errors to obtain the optimal setting of the process parameters in order to minimize the quality issues and these trials and errors are time consuming and costly. The aim of this study is to improve the quality of the butter tub by minimizing the volumetric shrinkage. This study is to deal with the application of Moldflow integrating with the statistical technique to minimize the volumetric shrinkage the butter tub which depends on the process parameters of the plastic injection molding. For this purpose, the rectangular shape of butter tub is designed by utilizing the SolidWorks. Molflow is used to simulate the plastic filling of the single cavity mold of butter tub based on the Taguchi’s !" orthogonal array table. In addition, the analysis of variance (ANOVA) is applied to investigate significant impact of the process parameters on the quality of the butter tub. Minitab is used to optimize the response of the volumetric shrinkage by selecting the most appropriate process parameters that maximizing the desirability value. Furthermore, the butter tub has a uniform thickness which was 1.2 mm and its factor of safety was 3.383 and the volumetric shrinkage response have optimized by 0.956 %. The melt temperature and mold temperature are found to be the most significant process parameters for the plastic injection molding process of butter tub and the volumetric shrinkage value obtained from the simulation is verified by the calculated volumetric shrinkage value.

This study has reported the effects of different formulation ratio between recycled high density polyethylene (r-HDPE) and recycled polypropylene (r-PP) into the resulted mechanical, thermal and morphological properties of r-HDPE/r-PP polymeric blends. About five (5) different formulation ratio of r-HDPE/r-PP have been prepared and tested. The best combination ratio between r-HDPE and r-PP was determined in this work. It was found that the 70/30 wt.% of r- HDPE/r-PP blend possessed an outstanding mechanical and physical strength. About 59.80% and 2.30% of positive improvement in comparison to 0/100 wt.% of r-HDPE/r-PP was achieved for both of tensile strength and hardness, respectively. Interestingly, for 70/30 wt.% of r-HDPE/r-PP blend had also experienced major increased in their elongation at break up to 473%. The fracture morphological behavior of the tested samples that were observed via SEM observation, had established the interaction between the structure and properties of produced r-HDPE/r-PP blends, especially on the miscibility state between the r-HDPE and r-PP phases. Thermal evaluation by using the DSC had confirmed the partial miscibility state due to dominant peak shifting at 120 - 140°C and obvious melting peak reduction pattern. Overall, from this study, it was found that the blending between r-HDPE and r-PP into r-HDPE/r-PP blends are feasible to improve the properties of primary phase.
