The author aims to present fundamentals of the psychological adaptation conception researching the population that were born and live in ecologically unfavourable living environment. Psychological adaptation is assumed to be a systemic characteristic of the man-living environment (natural and social) system. The empirical study revealed common but not equal in intensity decrease of psychological adaptation indices performed by subjects who were born and live in Transbaikal Region. The author believes that the discovered decrease is the consequence of the realized special – that of the strategy of minimizing adaptation.

The authors argue that counseling psychologists will benefit from the development of conceptual frameworks that focus attention and consideration on the moral dimensions of psychotherapeutic practice. The authors present such a conceptualization with respect to actual psychotherapeutic conversations, and they provide an empirical illustration of how this conceptual framework illuminates the moral dimension of such conversations. The authors also briefly explore possibilities for further conceptual and empirical study of moral aspects of counseling and psychotherapy.

A theory of cognitive structure is presented which is potentially capable of providing a conceptual framework for the study of transport behaviour, and by making use of this theory and the models derived from it, problematic areas in attitude and attribute research in transportation are discussed. An exploratory empirical study is described which successfully tests some of the relationships inherent in the theory in a transport context. Significant correlations were observed between overall attitude towards use of a travel mode and the products of evaluation and belief strength summed over a short series of perceived outcomes of use of that mode. The content, strength, and associated evaluations of salient beliefs about use of a travel mode were monitored during a period of change in the conditions of the service. Predictable changes in belief structure were observed, demonstrating the sensitivity of the techniques used.

The article presents the results of an empirical study of psychodynamic predictors of social activity of the young generation. The basis of this study is a system-diachronic approach which allowed studying social activity in the development process and identifying mismatches between the requirements of the social environment and the possibilities to meet these requirements on the part of the individual. The findings suggest that the focus of social activity is not determined by individual psychodynamic features, but by their successful combination. The studied personality characteristics are considered by us as predictors of the physical, social and ideal needs of the individual, and the direction of social activity, as a way to satisfy them. It is proved that the direction of social activity depends on the general and private tasks of personal development and is a necessary condition for the socio-psychological adaptation of the individual.

How do evaluators using collaborative approaches to evaluation (CAE) define success? This is the core question being asked in a further analysis of data from our previous work ( Cousins, Whitmore, & Shulha, 2013 ; Shulha et al., 2016) that developed a set of evidence-based principles to guide collaborative evaluation practice. Probing data from 320 responses to our (2012) survey, we examined what respondents considered “highly successful” and “less successful than hoped” in their collaborative evaluation projects. The results revealed that evaluation use, relationships, and information needs are key factors. We propose a conceptual framework as an aid to thinking about success in CAE.Comment les évaluateurs utilisant des approches collaboratives à l’évaluation définissent-ils le succès?

In this paper Nicholson’s (1994) four-fold conceptual framework has been applied to ethical issues in research by postgraduate students undertaking theses or dissertations in computing. Ethical dilemmas are explored showing how knowledge in this area is acquired, shared and integrated from one research project to the next and within any one postgraduate cohort. Ethics of performing research within computing rather than professional codes are discussed. A major challenge in raising the level of awareness of professional ethics is in encouraging students to make the upwards shift from not only learning and applying technical skills but also integrating these skills with knowledge of the larger social system in which technology sits. A broad overview of how research ethics is practiced by postgraduate students undertaking thesis or dissertation is also discussed.

Objectives - The models used in the empirical study of leadership kyai in Madura ethnic in line with the more modern environment changes. Reflecting the environmental change this paper aims to propose a framework for leadership of charismatic kyai in Madura ethnic-based impact on the welfare of stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) wide. The design / methodology / approach - This paper offers a conceptual framework that integrates the components of the leadership of religious scholars in ethnic Madurese kharismatic.Findings -  This framework is useful for academics and regions. This framework can help steer academics to various existing literature charismatic leadership and help researchers development empirical studies that describe ethnic leadership kyai in Madurese. For the professional, this framework can be used as guidance in building a successful region.Research/ Limitations/ implications - This paper does not examine empirically the proposed framework. However, this paper provides suggestions for future research, including reviewing the empirical structural relationships in this framework.
